Cozy little diner across the street from a medical plaza. Nice place to relax and grab some breakfast. The service was attentive and friendly. It seems to be women-owned and run, which is a plus, of course. My scrambled eggs and corned beef hash were pretty average, though they cooked a nice crust into to the hash. The butter on my toast tasted unsalted, so I didn't finish the rest. My favorite dish I had was the short stack of pancakes. Two giant, fluffy pancakes, perfectly sweet and savory. I was told that the daughter of the family makes them the best, so I'm glad she cooked for me. 10/10 pancakes, next time will try the blueberry. Good coffee, too. read more

This was the worst breakfast/brunch experience I've had in a long time. The staff were wonderful , attentive and explained the menu and specials clearly, my friend and I did not enjoy my food at all. The French toast had scrambled eggs all around the toast and the eggs tasted like it wasn't made to order. The pastrami it self was good, just not as a sandwich. Please understand the design and appeal to an old school, neighborhood diner and you will come away happy. It's not going to offer a new motive nor modern flair. It is going to offer fresh made food, often just off the griddle, and true flavor. Don't expect multi step seasonings and brining or ultra ingredients. Location has been in place 20 years or more, and still demands cash only at the register after finishing your meal. Wifey wanted breakfast while in area and the thought of Denny's didn't appeal to me. I fully intended to get breakfast until I noted the Patty Melt sign. An old school favorite. It was served off the grill, hot, and made to order. Perhaps a marbled rye would have stepped it up a level, but still old fashioned goodness. Wife noted some thing called Country Bene and knew right away this was her calling. Eggs with sausage gravy appealed quickly. The side of fresh chunky home fries were made as she requested, well done. Employees were polite and accommodating. Saw several people that appears locals. All were happy and polite and flowed well. Price was fair indeed and would remind they only handle breakfast and lunch. A blast from the past, and simple times without foo foo garnish. It's a tiny place and they only take cash, but it's a really good place for breakfast. If you go on the weekends, plan on getting there early or be prepared to wait. The food is like home cooking!! The staff remembers your name and are always happy to see you. The best way to explain is to say that the whole place just feels like a big hug when you walk in. My favorite is breakfast with the grilled biscuits with my bacon and eggs and home fries. All made fresh on the grill. It always smells amazing. We usually frequent this place but for some reason service has gone down the tube. The food is typical mediocre breakfast food. We used to love coming here because the staff made you feel at home. That has changed now the service is biased. If you're not one of their locals or someone they know you will not get service. Today we were ignored we sat for 15 mins no service and when we asked for service we were ignored. The lady that was supposed to service us often wears a workout outfit avoid her at all cost she is rude and biased. Driving in the neighborhood looking for a quick breakfast and we stumbled on this place. It's situated in a strip mall, in the corner space. Good size menu, with lots of breakfast and lunch options. We ordered a plain waffle, large stack of pancakes, half order biscuit and sausage gravy, , extra order of bacon, 2 eggs , bacon, home fries, toast combo and 2 sodas. Food came out very quickly and was delicious. Had to order an extra full order of the biscuits and gravy! Bacon was very tasty. Didn't love the home fries even though they were definitely homemade. They don't take credit cards SO BRING CASH! Paid $36 but as you can see we received a lot of food, so I would say it was a GREAT VALUE! We will definitely be back as this is closer, just as good and much less expensive than our usual favorite place. read more

Driven by this place for over 15 years and never stopped in. It's in an old strip mall that's seen better days. Don't let this dissuade you. Bring cash; they don't take the plastic. The grill is front and center when you walk in. This place is the real deal. Breakfast sandwich with TAYLOR ham on a bagel. Cook actually listened and made my eggs the way I like them. Decent home fries with a nice crispy crust. Very pleased that they did not add paprika seasoning which most bagel joints seem to use. Waitress was very kind about the repeated cups of coffee. Great local breakfast place. My wife and I tried it because we live very close to it. I ordered the western omellete with a side of potatoes, she ordered the eggs with bacon and french toast. It was great. Food was good. Coffee was good. Prices were good. Service was good. My coffee cup was filled with a waitress making the rounds and filling everyone's cups. I love it. Busy on a Saturday morning, but no wait. The griddle was out in the open, so much like a diner, you get to see everything cooked. It was a great breakfast joint. I can't wait to go back.
