We ventured northward to a few provincial parks and can't say enough about the endless hiking trails and breathtaking vistas and memories being made as family. Upon returning home and addressing our issues with the owner Amy Verwey, I was thoroughly pleased with her professionalism in smoothing over any bumpy edges. Her communication was absolutely flawlessly and seamlessly executed and beyond fair and reasonable. She addressed our concerns, actioned them swiftly and promptly, and reflected on areas of service where training could be improved. I don't believe one can ask for more when it comes to customer service. Negative 100. I am very disappointed to say the least. My trailer was stolen off their lot and the nightmare began. I got a call from the police stating my trailer was recovered at a private address . I call to check on the trailer I was told, it's in the lot , I asked are you sure. My trailer was indeed stolen off their lot and they did not report it stolen this was the Tuesday and my trailer was apparently stolen Sunday morning. They were asked to pick up at the recovery site and refused. I had have to cover the cost to for the tow and storage so they can take the trailer back to their lot to continue repair. I was never told my trailer was stolen by them and now it is my fault because they have a sign that says they are not responsible for loss or damage. The trailer was left at an easy accessible point and someone was able to hook it up and drive away. Igor service manager insist I file an insurance claim. Negligence, incompetence and untrustworthy would be my three words for this company RUN as far as possible. There is no family action in the family run business which was the only reason I went with them . read more

I'd give them a negative rating if I could. Our trailer got hit in the ice storm of 2025. Our insurance wanted it taken to Owasco. Against our better judgement we took it there. Stephanie in customer service should have nothing to do with customer service. No matter how much we tried to voice our concerns to her she just sat there. We were told it would be stored there for the winter at no cost because we couldn't get it back into our park until May. Well in January I got a message saying that I was going to be charged $20/day storage if I didn't come get it. I was told I had been sent an email which I never was so my storage fees were being back dated. When I opened my trailer it was a mess. Gravel and mud on my floors. My couch was in pieces doors were left open to swing while being towed. When I asked for the paper work for what had been done I was again told that it was emailed to me. Again I told them I never got an email. Stephanie actually got off her chair and printed me a copy. I also got copies of 5 other people's repairs. If you have to take your trailer there take pictures inside and out the day you drop it off. I don't understand how this place is still in business. read more

Run! Run! Run! We had many of people tell us not to go there but we had to learn for yourselves and it cost us $500. We went and looked at many of trailers over two years. One thing one sales person to us was 'don't settle for a lay out you're not happy with' and that dealership didn't have the lay out we wanted. Low & behold Owasco did so putting all the warnings aside we went there. Met Tommie McLaren (905-697-0678 ext. 5002 tommie.mclaren@owasco.com) who had very little work to do because we had been looking for so long then passed us off to the Desk Manager Jacob Roubough (905-697-0678 ext. 5018 Jacob.Rombough@owasco.com) We talked and it seemed good I was half busy dealing with the kids and washroom breaks. He signed papers to have the credit guys call and put $500 down. When we left we got talking and thinking. Regret set in as I got an email about our union still not getting a deal, hockey fees going up and dues before Sept 1 and back to school stuff. All the things!! We decided that we would wait another year. Called them and let them know and they refuse to give us our down payment back. $500 dollars they just decided they should keep. Believe what you're reading. Run away fast. Unless you have money you want to get rid of and want nothing in return, stay far away from Owasco RV. They talk a good game, but are more dishonest and useless then I would have ever imagined. And it's the whole place that plays the game - sales, service and management. I was a very loyal customer and my last few experiences I have been met with rude and unknowledgeable service advisors ! Turning away huge Verwey fans such as me is not a good business plan ! My experience with Owasco has always been bad when it comes to service for my unit. Stephanie is always so misinformed and gives different information every time I ask her a question. The notes on the invoices do not reflect the work done. For me, the worst experience when they contaminated my unit/tank with well water, and they told me that "all well water is safe to drink", even after they say that there is only a little sulfur smells and taste. Even at their offices, they have posted signs -Do not drink the water- because they only have well water that you should not drink and should not be in the water lines. SO ASK FIRST IF THEY ARE USING POTABLE WATER WITH YOUR UNIT. They treated me so badly, because I dared to complain about the contamination of my waterlines, and lied to me that saying that "all well water is always safe to drink" read more

The service department has been improved since I purchased a unit 5 years ago. My recent engagement for an urgent issue rasied to their coordinator and got an appointment back within 2 days. I expected at least weeks wait but the service appointment coordinator - Tessa, so patient and trying to squeeze a time slot for the diagnosis even I may have to delay my trip for a family reunion. In parallel, I worked with the unit's manuifactor for diagnosis and recommendation where Owasco service tech can use it as reference. read more

would give a zero if I could! worst service department ever! Turn and Run! I purchased the extended warranty option when buying my trailer in 2019. it gave me piece of mind to know I would be covered should anything go wrong. You would think that the Service Department of an RV dealership would have people working who actually knew about trailers, things that go wrong and how to find the replacement parts needed to fix any issues that should arise. A person would also assume that the Service Department would have an understanding on how the extended warranty worked alongside with any repairs/ replacements that may need to be done while extended warranty is valid. The RV Dealership is the same place as the Service Department! And any normal person would expect to have diagnostic services diagnosed correctly seeing as they charge $160 per each area of concern they are asked to take a look at...ie...$160 to look at your fridge, $160 to look at your Dometic unit (air conditioning / heating), $160 to look at your radio that's not turning on, and $160 to look at your awning arm that broke....Igor even tried to double charge me and the extended warranty place for diagnostic fees for the radio. I called Igor to explain why my bill was so high and I even mentioned that the warranty was being charged for radio diagnostics so why did I have an additional charge for the same thing. He explained to me that the warranty place does not cover all their testing fees so he was charging me the difference. BULL S**T! it's called FRAUD! Igor realized after that I was talking to SALS (extended warranty provider). So by the time my husband picked up our trailer that FRAUDULENT additional fee was removed. We asked to have our fridge/freezer unit looked at bc the freezer doesn't freeze and the vegetable and liquids in our fridge do freeze, there has been ice on the metal thing on back wall in fridge and occasionally there has been small water pools on floor below fridge. Igor charged us $160 diagnostic fee and told me there is nothing wrong with my fridge, it works fine. If it's all good why did the issues continue into the following season??? i even called and left him a message about it within having my trailer back. I asked him to take a second look at the enas nothing had changed and said maybe something was over looked and he told me it would cost d of the season as I had to bring my trailer back in for the original warranty issues to be completed and he told me it will cost ano5er $160 to have it looked at again....WTF! This place is a scam!! I also paid $160 to have my Dometic unit looked at...once again I was told there were no problems, yet there were times I had a full propane tank but NO HEAT. NONE! He told me it would cost me another $160 to take another look at it as well! I just paid these 2 diagnostic fees in the late spring! Apparently nothing was wrong, yet my issues didn't go away and a few months later he wants to charge me again!?!! TO LOOK AT THE SAME PROBLEM!!!!!! This must be a money laundering business because these guys dont know SH*T!!!! SCAMMERS!! DO NOT GO HERE! Oh and get this...my radio that was to be repaired under the extended warranty I paid for...Igor originally tells me that the manufacture is no longer making that radio so he will have to resubmit the claim to SALS and remove the radio. Tells me they reached out to the manufacturer and there is no replacement so I won't be getting a radio....STUPIDEST thing I ever heard! Had to explain that he will be putting a replacement in as trailers are still being made with radios included, so there should be no problem finding one that is compatible. I emailed him a picture of all the iRv radio options on Amazon, and included iRv manufactures phone number so someone could make the call for real this time instead of feeding me some lazy ass BS! Paid $220k for a 2022 Winnebego View. Turned out it was rife with problems, not the least of which was a serious water leak in the slide. It was in their shop for over 2 months to fix this under warranty. Well, turns out it was never fixed and continued to leak and the wall was delaminating. We ended up paying out of pocket to have the leak fixed so we could rid ourselves of the COVID lemon. Owasco service is the worst I have encountered from any company I have dealt with. They were rude, condescending and generally uninterested in us as a customer. I will never set foot in Owasco again and will do all in my power to keep others from considering any purchase at Owasco. read more

STAY AWAY!! Worst service ever. I booked an appointment in August for fall service to grease and repack the bearings. Earliest available was November. When I brought the trailer in they told me it will be at least a week before it will be ready. 4 weeks later, I called 4 times, including the service manager, no word from anyone at Owasco. Finally, reached a service person, but she could only tell me the trailer is not done but has no idea when it will be done. "Our bays are full" is all she could say. With all the negative comments about Owasco, it is clear this is a leadership problem. I highly recommend you take your trailer somewhere else, don't give them your business. I had purchased the unit and had a 5th wheel hitch installed by Owasco. This is my first 5th wheel so I know very little about requirements. The first camp out We went too, had a steep grade. The trailer hit my box rails on my truck. At this camp I spoke with other 5th wheel owners and we discovered that my hitch was too low in my truck, allowing only 3.5" clear to the recommended 6". I was able to adjust hitch before leaving camp and had no issues with it at corrected height. This caused damage to the trailer and truck. Owasco repaired the trailer damage (no cost to me) but I needed to repair my truck. So due to this being late in season, I had to scrambled and booked storage at Owasco's off site facility. I also ordered A cover as I don't like the thought of leaving it uncovered all winter. As it turned out, they keep my unit all winter sitting outside with no work being done and uncovered. The work was only done in in the spring March or April. I am pleased with the work and the warranty issues that where required, the problem I have is they lead me to believe that I would be getting my unit returned in a timely fashion and I would be able to store it properly at Owasco's off site facility.As it turns out I had to purchase storage at their facility which never got used ($1200.00 + dollars), and my unit sat all winter uncovered. When I spoke to Owasco regarding this I was told that they would not pro rate this. I have been arguing this point until this Fall with them only saying that they will give me $200.00 in store credit. I go to use my in store credit only to find out it does not exsist. No one has replied or returned any calls in regard to this. So my position with regards to Owasco as a representive of the Jayco Brand (this is my 2 Jayco), is that the front line workers ie; service advisers, parts personal, and my sales rep, who actually left Owasco shortly after, stating that her values did not align with management. She was very customer orientated and jumped through hoops to get things done. These workers are very good and knowledgeable. It is the upper management that takes a, too bad for you approach. If there was a Jayco Dealer closer to me I definitely would not go to Owasco. The calls should have been returned from Amy V. the General Manager & Igor R. the Service Manager who in my opinion are the most arrogant agents I have ever dealt with when it comes to RV purchase/service. I have been enjoy this past time for over 50 years and Owasco management is the worst. Needless to say I love the 5th wheel, and Owasco's front line personal, but despise the arrogance of the upper management. I would recommend Jayco's product line but I will advise against purchasing from Oswaco. read more

Our 6 month old RV was called into the Owasco service department for minor w/a work as well as to replace a broken window. SIX months later work has yet to be completed despite visits, phone calls and emails. We have missed our booked summer holidays. We have requested that our RV be returned to us in the condition that it is in but receive nothing but delaying tactics. We have gone so far as to contact the President of Owasco, Bob Verway and we have not even received the courtesy of a reply. They will happily sell you an RV but do not count on service of any kind. read more

Waited over 9 weeks for a door to come in under warranty only to find out the service manager forgot to order it. The worst thing is I had to call there and he acted like the rude service advisor called me. When I confronted him he then proceeded to tell me that I should take my business back to where I purchased it as they are only interested in the customers that purchase at there place of business. He told me he is going to refuse to work on my trailer. Which is a 2017 Jayco Whitehawk and is still under warranty. Needless to say I will take the service managers advice (Adam) and take my business elsewhere. A sad way to treat a member of the Jayco family. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! no one has a clue over in the service department! Had arranged appt originally for October 2023 regarding warranty issues which I gave them a list of problems I need fixed. Due to someone not knowing their job, and how to schedule their winterization schedule appropriately they wanted to delay my service appt and said I would need to pay storage fees while my trailer waits there. I declined and said I would bring my trailer in this year but I need it back for May. I drop my trailer off April 05, 2024. Gave the list again of problems that need to be fixed thru my extended warranty. Told service department trailer was purchased at that location, warranty information is there with them. As of May 01 nothing has been done! Find out Service department has only just submitted my claim to the warranty people MAY 01. Meanwhile I had received a text message earlier in April saying everything was a go and I will have my trailer back by Mother's Day weekend. Thursday that just passed im told it's another 2-6 weeks just to get the parts! Why was none of this ordered yet!?!? I also find out from the warranty ppl that only 2 things were submitted to them! Why only 2 items submittted out of my list???? who is running this catastrophe of a department????!!! How are they even still in business with this kind of S**T SHOW???!! Does anyone even work over there?? NO ONE IN SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS A CLUE OF WHATS GOING ON OR HOW TO DO THEIR JOB EFFECTIVELY OR EFFICIENTLY... ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! read more

Worst customer service I have ever received from a company. Bought a $63,000 brand new trailer. We paid extra to have the bed in the master bedroom upgraded to a king. We showed up to do our PDI (pre-delivery inspection) on a Monday, the trailer was to be delivered on Wednesday. Among other issues with the trailer they "forgot" to upgrade our trailer. No apology at all to us. Said they would rectify the situation. They did not. It took over 2 months to get our new trailer upgraded and receive our king mattress. Which we had to pick up ourselves when we had paid for delivery. Still no apologies to us ever! When we finally had the work done they left metal shavings all over the floor and I got one lodged in my foot as we did not expect that when walking into a brand new trailer. We had to email and call on numerous occasions to get anything done. Do not use this company! read more

Don't ever buy from owasco. They are terrible, they do not honour anything and I've been fighting for 2 years to have my trailer fixed. It was purchased brand new and since opening it May of 2020 it has leaks throughout, no working fridge, crossed wires, a recall that has yet to be addressed, it caught fire twice, the cabinetry is crooked, the list goes on. Good luck getting anyone to ever return your phone calls or emails. I have 2 small kids and what was supposed to be something for our family to look forward to has been an ongoing nightmare. My wife and I bought a trailer in March 2016. The sales lady was nice, however, she was running between us and another couple interested in a trailer. We were actually purchasing the trailer. She went through everything very quickly and when it came time for delivery, we had to take time off work because they would not accommodate a Saturday pick up for us. After they had our money, all customer service and communication went down the drain. We had a stabilizer that broke while camping. We had to remove it before towing it back home. I took the broken part in to service and was told it would be 2-3 weeks before Jayco would get back to them. Right off the bat they told me it will come back as user error. Already being accused of mishandling my trailer, the alarm bells should have gone off. We purchased an extended warranty and would expect that if something broke, it would be covered. This is not the case. A month and a half later, I had not heard from them so I called the service department. A week later, they still had not returned my call. I called them back and spoke to an advisor. He said he would call Jayco and get back to me. Again, no one called me back. I called the Service Manager and expressed my displease. He said he would look into it. Again, no response or phone call. My wife received an email in regards to Owasco and a sale that they were having. She responded with our issues. Immediately she got a response saying that they looked up our account and it was approved for replacement by Jayco and they had already called us. We never received a phone call. They had actually called my parents who bought a trailer around the same time. He then began to say they mixed up the accounts and they had not sent our part out to jayco. I called the service manager and spoken with him being extremely angry with their lack of service and communication. He assured me he would get to the bottom of it. I informed him I had to buy new stabilizers so we could continue using our trailer as we had numerous camping trips already booked. He told me he would install them for me. I also informed him I wanted a credit for the jacks and my trailer winterized. He was very reluctant but agreed in the end. I book a time for a Saturday and he informed me he is writing my name down on the board as we speak. I arrived on the Saturday to find my name was not written down on their board and they had no idea why or what I was dropping my trailer off for. I spoke with the service manager the following day and he told me their was miscommunication and they erased my name. Please, think twice before purchasing anything from Owasco. Once they have your money, they treat you like trash. read more

My husband and I dropped by this morning to look at Class C. Motor Homes. at OWASCO. We asked if we could view the ones that were outside. The saleswoman approached us and we told her that we were interested in the ones outside. She discouraged us by saying that we could attend the International RV show in October. She said that they were keyed and we had this feeling that she didn't want to bother showing them to us. She gave us some brochures. I would not want her to be our sales person when we do plan on making a purchase. We specifically made the trip to your showroom to look at them. Doesn't she know that first meetings are very important in future purchases!!!! read more

BUYER BEWARE!! READ BELOW FOR UPDATE... We will not be purchasing or servicing our trailers at Owasco ever again! First, We have been going to Owasco for years and have bought 4 trailers from them without issue we would have bought our present trailer from them however they didnt have our model in stock. We bought a Jayco Whitehawk which is still under warranty and in May we brought it into Owasco for some minor issues and a door replacement which has defective hinges on the friction free door which are all covered under warranty as they service Jayco. Adam in the service department fixed all the minor issues and informed us that the door would take 6 to 8 weeks, no problem he would contact us when they received it...this was the end of May. Today we called Owasco to see when it might be available and spoke with a very rude girl (Elaine)at the service desk who told us that the door was never ordered and if we want to order it they need a credit card...did I mention the trailer is under warranty with Jayco and we were just in Owasco over a month ago to have other work done under warranty and no mention of needing our credit card at that time? Do they treat you differently in service if you didnt purchase the trailer at Owasco? Read the other posts below and decide for yourself. After alot of uncertainty we gave her the card number cause she said that the door would not be ordered without one. Once she got the number, she hung up..no goodbye, no mention about the order just plain rude! Just got off the phone with Jayco Head Office and confirmed that Owasco should not be asking for our credit card as the trailer is still under warranty and Jayco has a contract with Owasco to service. Now, we can't reach Owasco, we have no information on what just happened and still have a bad taste about the whole situation. I recently referred a friend to Owasco to buy a trailer and was told that they were treated badly and just couldn't believe it till now! We send all friends and family to Owasco and have dealt with Craig & Willem in sales for all our trailers going back more than 12 years...we are both very disappointed and will have to rethink where we purchase our next trailer. After reading all these reviews it seems that there is a huge problem with Owasco's service department and maybe a new service manager is required. UPDATE So, update....Adam, service manager from Owasco called and was so upset about this review he has refused to service our trailer and has blocked us from calling Owasco...how immature can you get?? Mr. Adam, this is very far from over lol. I will be sharing this all over every social media I can find. ABSOLUTELY we will definitely be returning to Layzee Acres for all our future sales and service as they might be a little far but they treat you like you matter. If this is how Owasco treats potential clients how do you ever intend to grow...after dealing with Adam, we are done with Owasco! This is an awful way to do business, if we had been treated respectfully our next trailer may have been purchased here but never again! Response from the owner 50 minutes later Kim, you are correct clients who purchased from us are treated differently then clients who have not. During the summer our Service department books 6-8 weeks out and we want to insure our clients are looked after first and for this reason -among others- is why many clients choose to purchase from us.  This would also explain your different experience with us now versus your experience when you owned a trailer from us (As you mentioned in your review). While it is not our intention to upset clients who did not purchase from us we simply want to assist our clients first, as promised to them at time of purchase. Our recommendation would be to connect with your selling dealer for immediate parts & service support. To add to your update, we have not blocked any of your phone calls (We do not have this capability) and we are open to speak with you about the situation read more

Believe all the reviews for this place. Run fast and run far. We purchased a $50 000 trailer. Yes, came late and damaged. They fired there delivery guy so we had to wait for delivery. No apologies. When our new trailer arrived is was full of damaged and missed steps. From the front door to the bedroom, pretty much everything needed repair or replaced. Called and emailed several times and was ignored. Contacted Jayco, again ignored. We had to contact the BBB to get them to do anything. It took them 9 months to come by and this was after they wanted us to tow it back to there dealership! The trailer is 40 ft. long and weighs 12000 lbs! When they did show up, they did the bare minimum and didn't fix several issues and complained they were losing money. Are you kidding me. The extended warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on. I really believe they sell "B stock" as everything is junk. We are an older professional couple who take care of our purchased and it has cost us thousands out of pocket. Here's an interesting story. We purchased a 4 year old trailer in 2009. We had a leak in the tip out and with extended warranty nothing was done. There was no apologies and very hard to communicate with anyone. After a year of trying to get someone to help us we realized that this company did terrible business. My husband decided to redo the entire tip out because there was so much damage done. TO NO SURPRISE when he removed the tip out and opened it up, it was duck tapped all inside. Called them to express what we discovered and TO NO SURPRISE AGAIN they did not give a rats ass. Worst customer service EVER. Stay far away trust me. read more

How about renting a vehicle that is NOT defective. This "deluxe" Roadtrek van conversion was not in good working order when it was rented to us on September 24. We believe that it was not checked by a technician or anyone else in your company. The alarm for low battery was going off when we were initially touring the vehicle but your technician didn't even know what was causing the problem. The fresh water plug on the driver's side door was cracked and had cobwebs in it so obviously had not been looked at for a while. The gas tank was not full, the propane tank was not full and the water heater was obviously faulty. From your email response to our complaints, you expected us to use our rental time and kilometres to fix YOUR defective vehicle. This is completely unacceptable. Our contract with Owasco, signed on our part in good faith and paid for in full before we even left your parking lot, was that you would give us a vehicle that would be in good working order for our 12 day holiday. You did not live up to your end of this contract. We picked up the van on the Monday after you moved to your new location and we firmly believe that you did not check our rental because you were probably too busy moving. That was your problem but you certainly made us pay the price for it. Considering our 12 day rental cost us over $3800, it is not unreasonable to expect to receive a FUNCTIONING vehicle. We have every intention of reporting this terrible customer service to the Better Business Bureau. We will also research how we can warn all your European customers that this particular Canadian company should not be used for rentals and should be avoided at all costs.
