This little mom and pops place has been a staple of the community. Their donuts are amazingly fresh. They close shop for the day when they sell out, so make sure to come early for the best picks. The service is great, as they are the makers and the sellers of the donuts. They are always helpful, cheery, and welcoming. GETTING HERE: Oxnard Donuts is located on Gonzales Road, almost to the intersection of Ventura Road. If you're on Gonzales heading towards Victoria, it's located on the right hand side before Ventura Road. If you've hit the intersection/Popeye's Chicken, you've gone too far. REVIEW: Definitely a solid 4.5 star donut shop and I am rounding up for the regulars (customers) who greeted me in the shop and also the awesome service from, who I can only assume, is the owner. :) I don't know how many times I have driven by here, and I always make a mental note to swing by, but usually I am on the wrong side of Gonzales or on my way to an appointment. This visit, thankfully, the stars all aligned. :) Parking was a breeze, thankfully. I walked in and was greeted by all. I bought a variety of items, muffins and ham and cheese sandwiches too. Sadly, no pictures but I will add their cream cheese (I think that's the name of it!) muffins were SO good. Moist, fresh, fluffy, all the good things you want all rolled into one. The ham and cheese sandwich thing was a GREAT BIG hit, also. Since I almost ordered our her entire stock, ha, she kindly gave me some donut holes, too. Win win! Thank you! Ok I should not write this review. I really really should keep this place secret. They have the best doughnuts ever. Chocolate cake and their jelly filled are bursting with filling. There is another more popular place they charges double what Oxnard doughnuts charges and they are so much better!!! We've had the Apple fritters and the sugar twist all excellent. read more

The woman behind the counter was polite and professional. Very disappointed. Should have went back to complain. Ask for a dozen donuts the snappy Asian lady stuffed them all in a small box which crushed the top ones. I'm feeling really confused after a revisit here. The donut selections look about the same, but I don't remember the non-food pieces being like this. It's a typical donut store in these respects, but with a cleaner, more renovated look. I thought I remembered it having a sort of classic charm, but at least the guy who runs this was nice, so it's a charm of sorts. I'd gotten a cake donut with some crumb coating and a cream cheese muffin this time. This time around the selection really struck me as being small and plain in a way it hadn't earlier, although they do have a fairly large selection of danishes. The cake donut was also pretty disappointing, mainly from being pretty dry and plain-tasting. The muffin was definitely above average, but not remarkable. It looked pretty standard, too, so I'm not sure if I was just really hungry when I saw them last time. It ended up tasting like the sugary, floury muffin type that you see at some of the donut stores in the county. They've got four types, so I'll probably end up sticking to those in future trips. read more

I wasn't all too impressed with the way the place looked. It was quite messy and dirty looking. I read the reviews on this place and they seem to have great reviews. I guess people will overlook the cleanliness of a restaurant if the food is good. I can understand that but I wasn't all too impressed with the donuts either. I may have come too late in the day at 5pm and that could have been why they were not as tasty. Needless to say, I will find a better place to go next time. read more
