Great working with Oscar on my purchase
Lisa C.

After finding the exact car/model (through a cars.com search) that I wanted at Oxnard Mazda, I requested the e-price from their internet site. I pretty promptly heard from Freddie who equally promptly returned with an out the door price that beat any other price for the same make/model in a 250 mile radius. I was concerned with such a great price, something else would get compromised---not the case. We coordinated on a time to come down to test drive the car and complete the purchase. The only misstep in the whole process was that the agreed upon day I planned to come ended up being a day off for Freddie--which I did not know until I drove 2+ hours to get to the dealership. But another sales associate (Oscar) took over and worked with me on the actual purchase. He quickly addressed the assessment of my trade in and gave me a price I was quite happy with (and was robust enough I was able to pay cash for the remaining portion of the car price). I was in and out in just a couple of hours. There were no hard pressure tactics to buy anything extra by Oscar or the finance guy (who handled the purchase agreement signatures). The staff detailed my beautiful new ride while we completed the purchase process. I would definitely recommend making the trip here to buy a vehicle---best prices, great staff and no stressful, high pressure tactics.

I had the pleasure of purchasing a new 2025 CX-50 Hybrid in the Preferred trim level yesterday after returning the leased 2024 CX-90 I leased from Oxnard Mazda the previous year. The sales manager I worked with, George A., was very friendly, straightforward to negotiate with, and knowledgeable about the programs. George's sales person Marcus helped me select the CX-50 I was interested in, made sure it had all the features on my must have's list, and explained some of the key differences between the CX-90 lease I was returning and the CX-50 I ultimately purchased. After agreeing to a deal, the finance manager Richard explained all of my options available to protect the new CX-50 based on the number of miles I drive and the length of time I plan to keep this new purchase. I was pleased that the options I selected, the pre-paid maintenance, g.a.p. loan protection, and the extended service agreement, were explained thoroughly so that I understood the cost to benefit ratio to make a selection that most benefited my use of this vehicle. After all the paperwork was signed, Marcus had the new CX-50 cleaned, fueled, and immediately started pairing the Mazda app to my new Mazda so I didn't have to mess with it later. George came over to congratulate me and thank me for my business. The whole experience was excellent and really reflects the culture of professionalism instilled by George as the sales manager. Now that it's a day later, I can say my after sale experience has been just as great as my purchase experience. Both Marcus and George have followed up with me to help me learn some of the new features of this car. As a person who has owned several Mazdas including the RX-7, Miata, CX-90, and now CX-50 I am very happy to recommend George A. At Oxnard Mazda.

Very disappointing experience at Oxnard Mazda. I went to see a red Ford F-150 and dealt with Tim Green and Amauri Aguilar. During the test drive I felt a strong vibration and rough shifting. When I asked about it, they claimed it was just "turbo lag," which clearly did not match what I was feeling. When I asked to take the truck to my own mechanic for a quick inspection, they initially refused and kept insisting that they are a big dealership with a good reputation and that the truck could be sold to someone else if I didn't buy it right away. They also tried to push me to purchase an extra warranty instead of simply allowing an independent inspection. After a lot of back and forth, they finally allowed me to take the truck to my mechanic. A trustworthy dealership should never have an issue with a customer getting a vehicle inspected. The whole experience felt misleading and ended up wasting my entire day. Buyers should be very careful and always insist on an independent inspection before purchasing any vehicle.

My family and I had a great experience at Oxnard Mazda. Our salesman, Luis, was very helpful! He was knowledgeable, answered every one of our questions and made us feel comfortable. Our visit went smoothly thanks to Luis! We were very satisfied with our purchase! It was a pleasure to meet Amauri, he too treated us well and gave us a warm welcome to the Mazda family. We will definitely be coming to this location for any future Mazda purchases!!

Josh did an excellent job of showing me ALL of my options at various price points until we found the right match.

I see a lot of reviews on the service department, where you take your cars into be serviced, but…read morenot really too many about the dealership itself. This will be a review of the dealership itself as we went to purchase a vehicle. We drove in without a salesman knowing we were coming or setting an appointment. We were greeted by someone and asked if we needed help and we're quickly set up with somebody to work with all of the employees we can't encountered. We're fine not super friendly though. It was hard to get anyone to smile back at you, meaning it didn't feel very welcoming. Once we sat down and discussed what exactly we were looking for the comparables we found at other dealerships, etc., and they realize that we were very serious about purchasing a car. Our salesman started to relax a little bit, warm up and be a little more friendly. Wood, that being said after we officially said yes to a car and went to sign our lives away, that gentleman we were dealing with was very friendly, very cheerful and very welcoming. The dealership itself was very spacious and clean and organized. They had a variety of vehicles to look at, and choose from. None of the salesman were pushy or overbearing, which is extremely refreshing and appreciated, just wish they were a little more welcoming and friendly when you walk in. We had a very smooth process of purchasing a vehicle and if we were ever in the market for another Ford, we would definitely come back again

Bought a brand new F150 from Ford under warranty, and it leaks water all over the inside of the car…read moreevery time it rains. Took it into this service department to fix it, and they hastily cleaned the sunroof drain lines and claimed it was fixed. Now that the warranty is expired, it's still leaking every time it rains. Turns out its not the sunroof drain lines, exactly like I predicted. I asked them to do right by me and fix the issue since I brought in my car under warranty to fix this. They said the sunroof drain lines are squeaky clean so that's not the issue (I know that), and I'm going to have to "authorize the expenditure" to "tear the vehicle apart" to find the issue. Suddenly this is my expense to bear, and they want to be extra thorough now that its not under warranty. This is after swearing up and down to me that they fixed my leaky vehicle before. By the way, the dealership was PACKED with other Fords that leaked after the rain, including a friend of ours. I asked to speak with a manager and my service advisor said he can't find the manager anywhere. What a nightmare. I'm super disappointed in this experience. If they make it right I'll update this review. Otherwise please avoid this dealership. And be warned: F150's leak water when it rains. Just Google it. Over a century of automobile manufacturing and Ford hasn't figured out how to keep water out yet.

Along with them is Gibson's Garage, top notch honest service and though they are a small business, they are among the best there is. As for Oxnard Mitsubishi, The vehicle I bought was said to belong to one of the managers wives. I find it quite impossible that there wasn't prior knowledge that the bottom end had been into and crankshaft bearings were replaced. The gaskets/ material was not a match either. Upon inspection it was revealed there were 3 different sized bearings used putting it back together. It was a only a matter of time until the bearings would fail. Dealership of course denied any knowledge of it. Reported to the B.A.R. Dealership not interested in hearing about it at any level. Decided to do an update and let it be known once again for buyers. Be very careful with this place. Honesty and willingness to make things right was not amongst the values that this business operates by. In a word "Shameful". Beware !

I traded in a car over 2 months ago and as of today I have received not one but tollroads tickets. I was told by a worker that they will send me the proof of who they sold it to. Wow so not only did you not do it right the first time but now you sold it again and did no DMV paperwork on it. So unprofessional and a bit shady if you ask me. Good luck with this dealership. Now I get to go deal with the DMV. Thank you so much Jose Diaz for this recommendation. I will never take one from you again.

I was there about 5 min, and their charger charged me $50 which is about $45 more than normal. I asked the receptionist to speak to the person that sets the price about the seemingly outrageous price and their manager Katie at first sent them back to tell me it was Chargepoint's fault. I pointed out that I'd already spoken to Chargepoint and was told the dealer sets pricing, at which point the receptionist told me their Katie intentionally set the price that high and wouldn't speak to me face to face. I pointed out they'd lost a customer with this practice, since the screen on the unit doesn't state price prior to charging and the manager was dishonestly blaming Chargepoint when the dealer sets the price. Imagine being willing to blow a car sale in favor of a one time gotcha electric charging fee 10x normal. You should not trust them for your car maintenance because if they are willing to mistreat a potential new customer and sale, what would their service department do once they got your sale already in hand? Katie, you sell cars for tens of thousands of dollars and are willing to lose sales both at this and the next door Hyundai with the same owner over a $45 excessive fee and treating me poorly.
