Me and my husband share the large omelets which are made with around 4 or more eggs. The service is exceptional and fast. We ordered our food and within 15 minutes it was out. The noise level is just like any other place..when it's crowded it's loud but it's a public place with everyone talking so what do you expect. I will definitely be back for an awesome breakfast. We walked in a little after 10am and surprisingly was quickly seated. We sat at a booth and believe me it was crowded. They have the seating and getting the order part correct. The wait staff is awesome and on top of things. Upon coming I already had an idea of what I wanted to eat. Yes it was that big ass pancake, and yes it did live up to the hype. The pancakes come in 7 inches or 14 inches (too much) and in 5 different flavors like Blueberry, Plain, Red Velvet, Cinnayum, etc. Oy as also have your Omelettes and also Burgers for Lunch. With the southern breakfast you get a biscuit and grits instead of a pancake or potatoes . I don't usually get French toast or pancakes, so I was grateful for the biscuit and grits. I didn't find the portion size to be excessive as others have commented. Portions seemed about normal and the price about right or maybe a little high for what I got. One sign for me of a good versus average breakfast is the quality of the sausage. This place serves large patties that taste fresh and are not greasy or overly salty. It wasn't too sweet, definitely important for something of that size. I've also had omlettes as well as their topped French fries, both were also tasty. I really thought that this would be my "wow" moment....however, it was completely the opposite! The pancakes are terrible! Some of the worst I have ever tasted. I don't know what the formula is, but it is not as good as some of these reviews say....dare I say, a pancake box mix tastes better. Very bland, horrible texture...the only regret of my trip to Atlanta was the meal we had here. Eggs and bacon...so so...my breakfast...I could not finish it. :( I think that Oy! has a great thing going, you can tell it is locally owned and a great family business. Who does not love to support a good small business, that's why people come despite a few negative reviews. That's why I visited that day. But the dining experience here is below average compared to others like it. Big portions and minimum wait! Came for brunch on Saturday with a party of 6 people. We got seated in less than 10 minutes and the place was packed. Our waiter name is Maia she was sweet and polite. She had to manage a lot of tables and took a little longer to get our coffee but that is understandable for how busy the place was. I ordered a bacon egg sandwich and a bacon pancake. The sandwich was a great filling portion by itself, the bacon is crispy and the cheese melted to perfection. Do not be fool, the small pancake is not small. The portion is huge and filling. The bacon pancake was amazing fluffy and tasted like bacon. I only ate half of it and that was too much. The establishment does not have brown sugar and they cannot steam milk. They don't cater to those opting to eat healthy, but as long as you understand that, you'll love this place. The pancakes are ridiculously large.. like can anyone finish that? I was just appalled at the lack of customer service by the manager today and the fact that she stated we just got new menus last night and wanted to argue about an old menu. The new menu that was presented to me should have been honored! The menu is misleading it doesn't specify up-charges and then when u get the bill there are several up-charges! if you order blueberry pancake they charge you $1.99 but if you don't want blueberries in pancake mix but on side it's $4.99. Also American classic meals comes with sausage and doesn't specify any up-charges but if you get turkey sausage they charge $1.59. On top of all of this Food was received with hair in it. I liked Oy a lot! Here's what's what....it's in the same shopping center as marlows and they have breakfast lunch and brunch. Mini me wanted breakfast after church do it was perfect. I expected to get an omelet bc I really love eggs but hate ordering food in restaurants that I can easily make at home. I got the one with the bacon cheddar and fried egg and it tasted almost as good as it smelled. It was pretty juicy... A large portion and the bacon-cheese ratios were on point for this carnivore. The fried egg was cooked PERFECTLY! I only wanted a slice of avocado... I guess because it wasn't quite fatty enough. The fries were sooo salty. They would have been amazing if the cook didn't have such a heavy hand with the seasoning salt. Mini me went for the Oreo pancakes. She loved them and the nibble I had was tasty The American breakfast looked good-although the sausage patty looked dry. The portions are uuuge. You won't leave here hungry that's for sure. Definitely not as good as the first time I visited this spot for breakfast. I visited this place around the time they first opened and had a great experience both service & food wise. My experience here over the past weekend was far from that. I can definitely tell there must have been a change in management and cooks. The coffee was watered down, the pancakes tasted as if they weren't thoroughly cooked, and the service sucked. Also, the omelette barely had any eggs...more so veggies and other ingredients (who does that?). A friend had bacon, with one piece being overcooked and the other under-cooked **gives side eye** Someone (waitress maybe?) also entered in an additional tip on my card, when I tipped with cash. I left an 18% tip in cash for sub par service and food, and they charged an additional amount on my card, totaling 35% taken from me! I would not recommend this spot. Probably one of the best brunches I've ever had. The French Toast Casserole is everything you expected and more. The outside was crispy, and the inside is not too gooey and perfectly warm. A friend and I decided to split the small serving of that, and we did biscuits eggs and potato latkes as the Savory part of our meal. The waiter was really nice and checked in on us enough to where it wasn't bothersome. The biggest downside is the parking. Marlow's Tavern is next door and has a lot of customers. Server was patient while we reviewed the menu, and was close by when ready to order. Food came quickly. He took away dirty items almost immediately. The food was great.
