If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst experience ever. Husband and wife have zero customer service or even life skills. Edamame portion was small to start. Sushi chef was seen torching volcano roll with propane flame torch, and you could taste the propane on the poorly made volcano roll with sad shreds of imitation crab. The spicy tuna roll tasted rotten, when confronted wife "wait staff" she yelled for the husband whom came raging out flailing his arms yelling at us that his fish is fresh. He sniffed it and started shoveling it in his mouth, continuing to flail his arms and yell at us demanding his fish is fresh and it is us!!!! I've ordered "to go" twice from here and it's been delicious sushi for a great price. When I called to place an order two weeks ago, I said I wanted the dinner special and named the rolls. The lady told me to look on the website and immediately hung up. I tried to pull up their website, and the website was down. (Not working) - so I called again, and named different rolls, and she sighed, and said "did you call before I tell you to look online" so finally we called a third time, ordered basic rolls and she said "ok come in 45 min" so I did... the restaurant was completely empty, no one sitting in the dining room to eat and no one waiting for food. I paid, and waited another 15 min for my food. I tried to explain to her the website was down just as an FYI, so she could fix it for other customers. She kept insisting the site wasn't down. Then she finally looked up on her laptop (as I was sitting there) and was speaking to the chef while pointing at the laptop. The food is definitely good, but I would personally look at the menu before ordering because the woman who answers the phone is extremely impatient. I made this yelp account just to warn everyone that their fish is not fresh, everything tasted like it's been sitting in the fridge all week the food looked questionable when we opened the to go boxes, this was by far the most disappointed I've been about food in a long time. You could smell the food before even opening which is never a good sign with raw fish, and imitation crab.... I'm warning DO NOT go here unless you want food poisoning. So sorry to write this review...I tried this for sushi and a bento box yesterday. My Dad and I were both sick afterward. The Bento Box was fine, my mom had it, but not the place for sushi. Forget the outdated decor... This hole in the wall sushi place is perfect for fast service and tasty sushi combo selections at a great price in a quiet atmosphere. There is also a couple of Korean dishes too if you desire. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for sushi without all the frills. Stopped in for sushi to go after getting my car washed. Uninspired interior with wobbly tables and poor lighting. Staff said it would take 10 minutes. Took closer to 20. 10 minutes later when I was home I opened it to find 6 pieces instead of the standard 8 at any other sushi place for a dollar cheaper than I paid here. It was nearly inedible. This is probably the best teriyaki sauce I've ever had. I love it! Until today, it's been about a year since I've eaten here. This tiny sushi place is a place people should check out if they are looking for affordable food in a relaxed atmosphere. It is not fancy but after a day on the beach and sightseeing who wants fancy. There were a few tables for seating and the service was good. We went in for a late dinner there was one family leaving as we enter and another party came in while we waited for our food. I love this place ! I am addicted. I had only tried sushi a couple times, once on a cruise and once from Publix (YUCK). Gang from work was going there, so I went. I love the California roll and the tempura shrimp roll. Great prices too! At this time, they have a $6.95 lunch special where you get two selections plus a side. They have the best cucumber and krab salad as one of the sides. Great dressing on that salad. If I don't go there once a week, I get sad. The gang I go with eat all kinds of sushi. Have eaten here a few times, and everything has been great! Rolls aren't huge, but perfect for the price, especially with the lunch special! Everyone there has always been very friendly. All of the sushi rolls I have tried have tasted very fresh. Not many tables, so I don't typically sit down and eat here, but this is my first choice for sushi to pick up. read more

Surprisingly unimpressive. Here on Sunday. Service was ok but no smiles. Cucumber salad might have been from 1-2 days ago, wilty. Sushi roll I got was cut way too large and the rice was far too wet/sticky. Should have been a bit drier. Got the salmon sashimi and it was ok but not fantastic. Better choices in the area would we oketa express in largo (always excellent) or Osaka on park Blvd (expensive). I would not come back to pay sushi. read more

Wonderfully cheap and decent sushi. The restaurant isn't the prettiest, but this place is still awesome. You can get the dinner special with three rolls (18 pieces) , miso soup and a side item for 10 bucks. I normally get tempura vegetables. I definitely recommend. Get take out! read more

Hole in the wall but worth the stop! Owned by a couple that is so sweet and welcoming. The lunch and dinner specials are awesome and for 7 and 9$, you really get a good amount of food. Came in here for lunch with a group of work friends. Out of the 5 of us I was the only one in uniform. Waitress was very rude and direspectful to me and short with me when I asked a question about the menu. When I asked for a moment to keep looking at the menu until I found something to eat the waitress took everyone elses order and then walked away.
