This is our favorite place to grab sushi to-go (but dining in is great too! They have a large screen to view games on & plenty of room!) Not the best of pics but we always order the Big Mac roll, the Chuck Norris roll, a spider & a salmon skin hand roll, some fried oysters, gyozas & firecrackers (crab stuffed jalapeños). Came here for happy hour and it is absolutely worth it. The fresh fish sashimi is buttery and high quality. We also got the chicken karage, agedashi tofu, orange head role and mix tempura. All were very deliciously made. One of the squash tempura wasn't cooked through and was hard/crispy so be warned but otherwise flavor and everything was yummmm. Happy hour items come a little smaller than regular priced times but still worth. Would come again! read more

Been coming here for years and this place never disappoints! One of the best sushi spots in the east bay. They consistently deliver high quality, fresh seafood and the service is always great (quick and super friendly, especially when you dine in!). The atmosphere inside is great for both large and small parties. Been to this place a few times with my family and it's usually pretty good. But the service was absolutely terrible on 07/28/2025. We came in excited for sushi for my grandmothers birthday, but left with disappointment. It took 30 minutes just for a server to come by and take our order -- no greeting, no name, no explanation for the wait. Just a rushed "What can i get you?" That was the last time we saw him. No check-ins, no water refills, no updates on our food, nothing. After almost an hour with no food and zero communication, we kept having to track someone down ourselves just to get the check to leave. At one point, we begged for this girls attention and she refilled a couple of our water glasses -- but only halfway. Two of us didn't even get touched. She looked right at our empty cups then went right back to bussing a table like we weren't even there. Whoever was serving us that day should stop serving. He was probably the worst server I've seen in a long time. It also wasn't even that busy on a Monday night. read more

I live in Vallejo, about 20 miles from Ozura. But all the sushi in the Vallejo/Benicia area is mediocre, at best. I can eat mediocre pizza, I can eat mediocre burritos....but I simply can't do mediocre sushi. It doesn't sit well in my system and I don't get enough flavor and pleasure to justify the cost. So I went on a quest to find the nearest sushi that was really good. Ozura is it. We've been going there for several years now, often on special occasions, and it has yet to disappoint. We've tried lots of stuff there, but our favorite is the Fusion Combo (about $55), a platter with some sashimi, nigiri, and a couple rolls. It's enough to feed two of us, but we usually supplement it with a few orders of our favorite nigiri, just be decadent. This usually means we end up taking at least a few pieces to go because, as I said, the Fusion Combo itself is plenty. The ambience is nice: a large, open room with a good feel. The staff are very friendly and the vibe is wonderful. On a few occasions, it's been crowded, but we can almost always get seated in no more than 10 minutes, usually less. The cost is really reasonable for the quality, and the quality is very good. A typical order of two pieces of nigiri is in the $9-12 range. The fish is fresh, the sushi well-prepared. It's great sushi and a good value. If you are looking for an East Bay sushi place that has the food but is neither overcrowded nor overpriced, I highly recommend Ozura. read more

Originally was waiting for another sushi spot but there was a long wait, so I called ahead here as a walk-in and they said we'd be seated right away if we came soon. Got there in 5 min and they had a lot more seating than the other restaurant. I liked the vibe and decor as well. Food had great presentation and the rolls we got (Over the Rainbow and Ichiban) were delish. We also got some edamame and chicken karaage as appetizers too. First time trying this place -- found it on Yelp and decided to give it a shot with my family. We were not disappointed! All of our sushi rolls and nigiri's were delicious and good balance between rice and fish. The servers were friendly and professional, and we loved the restaurant's ambiance -- cute, chic, and stylish. The DJ and music added a great vibe without being too loud. On Saturday night I ordered 2 sushi rolls with soft shell crab n tempura shrimp n supposed to be REAL crab. They charged me extra for real crab but they used IMITATION crab instead after I told the counter girl I am allergic to it! So i called n they sd ok come get the refund. Wen I arrived they sd no cash refunfs..only food credit. I had drove from San Leandro. I am livid at this point n say I aint leaving until they refund me n mk it correctly. I had to argue my case over n over so they finally gave in. I've been sick 2 days from it so I highly recommend nobody trust these lowlifes n don't eat their bullshit fake crab. Zero stars. This was a perfect place my boyfriend and I stumbled upon while going grocery shopping! Everything we ordered was super yummy and exceeded our expectations. I thought the booth seating was super cute and would definitely go back maybe for a girls night and would look super cute for a little instagram moment. The sake cocktails were super strong but everything else was perfect. If I could eat more I would have but although the portions look small we had so much food leftover. Going to Ozora becomes our regular dinning. Last night we tried their chirashi bowl where the disappointment was. The sashimi that we got look like some left over sashimi (maybe the tail of the filet)? All of them were different shapes, size, and there was a few random small pieces put together with different kind of fish. This was the worst chirashi bowl I ever had. However service was still good and fast. But no more Chirashi bowl for me. read more

I went after work to pick up dinner which was : 2 chicken Teriyaki bento boxes, along with 2 rolls. Everyone gets to my house to eat, I open my bag and there's only 1 binto box . I call and they acted like it was my fault. The girl even asked me, " two Chicken teriyaki binto boxes with 2 sides" when I was ordering so it's not like they said it was, that I ordered 1. So obviously it was their fault . They asked me if I wanted to order another one and come pick it up. A ruined dinner party as there are 4 adults and 1 child we were going to split everything up between us. They are too busy a restaurant to care. 1 star for ruining our dinner and 1 star for the way they handled it. read more

I've been here a couple times already and it's still holding up to be a top choice for Japanese food. We decided to order the Ozora special sashimi for a group of 3. It came with miso soup, salad, vegetable tempura, and to our surprise, mussels! We also ordered deep fried oysters which came with tonkatsu sauce and was really good. We also got a large Sapporo and sake to share. The sashimi was delicious and the presentation was pretty. My favorites are usually tuna and salmon, so it's nice to be able to try the other kinds of fish. The white tuna sashimi felt like it melts in your mouth - so good! We were all so full afterwards! There is a women's bathroom and a men's/women's bathroom across from it. Wait time wasn't too bad. We put our name and phone number down and walked around the lot until they called us that our table was ready. Service was really nice and friendly. read more

I actually visited for the first time last year and I came again recently a couple times and it never fails to disappoint! Great customer service. Yummy rolls and they offer beer by the pitcher (on tap). This place is very busy , but somehow they keep the waitlist flowing. This is the perfect spot to go with a group. They offer family style platters and have large booths. My 6 year old loves the baked style rolls and I love the lady Gaga. read more

Came here on a busy Friday night when I was in the area craving for sushi! Wait time was not too long, we beat the crowd by 30 min before dinner time. There's a sign up sheet at the front. Service and sushi was fast. Miso soup is complimentary which I thought was a nice touch to prepare the gut before consuming raw fish. Every table was filled and even their back room so you know the fish here would be fresh. We ordered our usual, sake, yellowtail sushi and some rolls. We sat and ate pretty quickly and left before the DJ. Not sure if they are still doing music on Fridays. Overall, it was good for a quick dinner, will definitely be back if we are in the area. read more

This is our favorite sushi place! We drive the 40 mins to get there because they are that good! The sashimi is sliced perfectly and they don't skimp out on sushi filling. My husband loves the Jumping Spicy Tuna roll and I got a bento box. I usually get the baked scallops and snow cracker but wanted something different. The sushi places in our area either have bad service and/or skimp out on filling; this place has great service and a quality filling. read more

5 STARS! My favorite sushi joint in the WC/ Concord/ PH/ area! Sushi is always fresh and perfectly & lightly seasoned (for those sashimi prices that need to be). Very solid and fluffy tempura dishes, along w generous portions. I particularly enjoy their tuna sashimi salad - perfectly seasoned, fresh, flavorful and with a spicy kick... just the way I love it! Great job! My go-to dish is their Sashimi combo #2 for 2-3 people. It's generously portioned and really enough for 3. Also heard that their Hamachi Kama is really good but they've sold out each time I've been here (I usually come for late dinners)... but today, I tried their Salmon Kama and it is soooo tasty!! Yum... perfectly grilled and seasoned.. perfect! Always a nice experience eating here and always satisfied. Thumbs up read more

Such a wonderful spot off of Oak Grove. I find myself coming here again and again for the past couple of years, and no longer go to any other sushi places in the nearby area! The service is always wonderful, the fish is always fresh, and it's not very expensive especially for the quality you are getting. The lunch bento box is great deal and I always have leftovers. All the sushi I have tried has been fresh and well made. I can't recommend Ozora enough! read more

I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I had not been in a really long time and when my sister chose this spot for dinner I was in! Their sushi is always fresh and they have the best and most unique specials. I got the Pink Panther, Shrek and Veggie Swamp roll and everything was delicious. The first two rolls are specials but the veggie swamp is a staple and so tasty! Servers are friendly, and parking is easy! Love this place and cannot wait to go back. read more

Every time I come here, I receive really great service from the staff. Very attentive. They all work together to make sure each table is taken care of. The food is always great. No complaints. I don't usually leave reviews like this because this was tough. My wife and I went here on a Thursday night after looking at the amount of reviews and ratings and were looking forward to trying this restaurant. Tables were open and the restaurant has a nice interior that makes the experience feel elevated. They had 4 waiters and two sushi chefs in the dining area. Our waiter comes by gives us water, miso soup and comes back later to take our order as we were not ready. After ordering, I forgot to ask him what the dressing did the salad was since I have an allergy to miso (tofu, soy beans) and it was hard to get his attention. After confirming, I eat the salad as it is mayo and carrot infusion and we wait for our food to get served. The presentation was nice for the bento and the Scallop hand roll looked amazing. My food tasted good however for my wife's food, the Seafood udon was a bit salty to her liking and thus she couldn't finish it. We have to take it home to add water to dilute it. After finishing eating, I am not sure if our waiter was new but he just left, no hand off or anything to say he was taking a break or leaving. We were waiting for the check for a while and no one really came to check on us. I had to make eye contact with the sushi chef where he caught on and instructed one of their other servers to attend to us. She gave us the check and boxed away the rest of the seafood udon. I pay which was pretty quick and we were on our way. I usually tip decent as times are tough with prices of food increasing but that day almost contemplated not even tipping and in the end almost tipped less than 10% which says a lot. We left the restaurant only to find our server outside on the bench and eventually saw him get picked up. Because of this experience, it's going to be hard to go back to this restaurant. I hope that this does not happen to anyone else. read more

Overall, everything was amazing! The ambiance and decor are super cute and aesthetically pleasing, loved the cozy booths with pillows. Every sushi roll and appetizer we tried was fresh and full of flavor. Top-tier quality, especially the sashimi. They also offer daily specials, which is a nice touch. Service was friendly & attentive. They also accommodate big parties & have vegetarian options! It was nice to see a full house for a Thursday night, which says a lot. Been there a few times and personally I go for rolls and tempura. Their food is quite good. Not rating 5 star though because it's variable. I found a roll I liked, the Sexy Sexy, then the next time I had it - it wasn't as good. Same with the tempura: usually outstanding, but the last time I had it the veggies. We're sliced so thick that especially the sweet potatoes were too heavy almost to pick up with the chopsticks. Lack of precision and it was just odd. The sliced veggies were just over a 1/2 inch thick! Everyone has an off night. Maybe sous chef was off and someone else pinch hitting. I will be back partly because it's close, staff are nice and it's a favorite for some friends, but also because I do have faith in the ownership just based on the demeanor of the staff (staff are a reflection of owners in big & small companies). read more

One was the Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab, and it was absolutely delicious! The whole thing was edible, so there was no need to de-shell the crab, and the tempura batter was nice and crispy. The crab also didn't taste fishy at all. I also liked that they served it with a tempura dipping sauce on the side because it helped refresh the dish and cut back on the greasiness a little bit. Another thing I was really super curious to try was the Smoked Salmon. I did order it, but I think the guy working at the sashimi section misheard me and ended up giving me regular salmon instead - boo! I wanted to go back and order more later, but by that point I was already really full, so I decided not to be greedy. Other than that, everything else was pretty much the same as the lunch offerings. In general, my brother and I really like this place. It's definitely our go-to spot when it comes to all you can eat sushi and sashimi. My brother and I love getting a huge plate of sashimi with a variety of fish like Salmon, Yellowtail, Mackerel, and even Unagi too. I also love how quick the service was, and they impose no limitation on how many times we can order or how many items we can get each round. We just feel really comfortable eating here. We'll definitely come back again in the near future!

Each entrée came with our choice of tofu soup. Half a dozen banchans were brought to us before the arrival of the entrées. The buchu (chives) and baechu (Napa cabbage) kimchi were excellent. Our food took about 15 minutes to arrive. Portion wise, the tofu soups were of decent size, but the meat entrées were kind of stingy (they were served in small round skillets). I had the seafood tofu soup and it was very good. It was loaded clams, shrimp, and squid. We shared the entrées, and they all tasted great. The only gripe I had was a couple pieces of the galbi had very little meat on them. Service we received was great. Our server was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The total was somewhere around $130 (with a bottle of soju, a tangerine slushy, and a soda). Overall, we all thought the food was good. Return trip very likely. 4 stars. I walked in and ordered, they told me it would be about 15 minutes since they had three orders in front of mine. I went and sat in my car for about 8-10 minutes and went back in, my order was ready. There's plenty of indoor seating and a beautiful mural on the wall, if you prefer to eat in. I took it to go.

The Nam Khao/Crispy Coconut Rice Salad was extremely satisfying. The flavor was immense, and when wrapped with the lettuce, it was perfect. The Lao sausage Banh Mi was delicious. The pork sausage in it was tasty. There is a menu on the wall at the counter. There's also printed menus stacked at the counter. I think the printed one has other items. Ordering is done at the counter and you are given a number to place at your table. Your food is brought to you. There's about 15 tables. Some for two and most are for four. Larger groups can be easily accommodated by combining tables. If you go, check out the beautiful mural.
