Located on the same shipping center as the Trader Joe's but near The Wells Fargo Bank. Plenty of parking available. Arrived on a weekday around 4PM there was one other person inside. Decided to eat in. Sat in a booth which was quite spacious for the group. Immediately upon being seated Misp soup was served, with waters and lemon. The menu is pretty expansive and took a minute to figure out what to order. Tried the Lady Gaga roll, Philly roll, some other rolls I can't recall and the spicy pork with rice which also comes with a small house salad. The rolls were good. The spicy pork dish was basically fatty bacon cut up into small pieces presented on a sizzling plate - not a fan. Service was okay, she kept overlooking our table and we had to call her over a few times to get items/service. Overall decent spot.

Excellent service! Excellent food! My friend loves this place and she asked me to meet her there for dinner. It's in the same strip mall with Trader Joe's. Plenty of parking right out front. Our dinner was so great! The sashimi was so fresh and delicious. The hamachi nigiri was also very fresh and good. The tuna tartar was very good! Our sauv blanc were perfectly chilled. I'd come back here again and again!

The food is always amazing. The service is always exceptional, and the happy hour prices you can't beat! Friday-Sat they got a live DJ inside great spot for some low key vibes

Always a reliable place to get a good bite of sushi. Happy hour has super great prices and food is consistently good. If you are drinking, get the fried calamari. It's a great drink munchie. I really enjoy the salmon kama. Staff is always friendly and nice.

This is a very clean and updated Japanese restaurant in Concord. First time here for dinner. We ordered the bento box and sashimi comb. They do have a lot more selection in the menu. Costs over $70 little expensive for 2 dinners and a beer.

Still a staple neighborhood Japanese restaurant! Miso soup is served when water is served. I love their variety of sushi rolls. It is always lively in the evenings especially on the weekend. They show whatever sports game is on. Service is great but sometimes can be a little slow.

My #1 go to sushi place in the Concord area! I usually go to Butterfish in Berkeley cuz it's my fav but I really love Ozora too. The Spicy Garlic Edamame is such a good starter as well. I personally love the ginger and wasabi serving sizes with each roll too. The Shrek roll is my FAV bc I love avocado and tuna. Tastes so fresh!

The outside may look small but inside is very spacious with mix of tables and wooden booths. The vibe when you walk in is very casual yet mixed with fine dining in a way. Each table had this really intricate tableware which reminds me of the grater they use for wasabi for some reason lol. There was also a small lamp on the table which I thought was a nice touch. Not that the lights overall is super dark but it just sets a nice tone and ambiance of fine dining. Service was very attentative and patient. They were also quick with refills and taking our dishes away when we were done. What we ordered: Gourmet Sushi & Sashimi ($31.95) - It came with 7 nigiri, 3 pieces of tuna sashimi, 3 pieces of salmon sashimi and 6 giant California Rolls. The highlight would have to be the yellowtail nigiri, salmon nigiri and the salmon sashimi. They both melt like butter. Only downside was that the fish portion were a bit small. I do wish the cut of the fish was bigger. Seafood Udon ($18.95) - Hot thick noodle in vegetable broth with some shellfish like shrimp, clam, along with with fish, and squid to quell the cold draft. Parents were meh on it as they said while the soup was hot, there was not a lot of seafood in the dish itself and wished there was more. There was some leftovers but it was mainly noodles. Sora Roll ($16.95) - This roll had shrimp tempura and crab on the inside and tuna, salmon, yellowtail on top. There was a lot of pieces and they were actually very good. Crispy Roll ($14.95) - a deef fried roll with tuna, salmin, yellowtail and avocado. Lots of texture from crunchy and creamy to sweet and saucey, Size is pretty big for 1 person and it is very packed and filling. We would come here again to try their bento boxes next time.

Ozora is our go to Japanese restaurant in Concord off of Oak Grove and Treat blvd. They been consistently tasty and have excellent service. Parking is plentiful and has nearby Peet's coffee, Trader's Joe, Baskin Robbin's ice cream, and gas stations. The only thing I have to mention that this restaurant gets very busy/crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. No reservations. But the staff are pretty good seating you and work hard in getting and serving your food. The sushi is fresh and good fuller sized portions. The bento box meals has a wide selection of items to choose from. The teriyaki steak is tender. The tempura is crispy and fresh! Grilled Saba is my favorite. My wife mentioned that the bento box tends to be smaller portions when it is To-Go compared to what we would get in the restaurant. Overall I still prefer this Japanese restaurant over the others around the area.

Just started 2025 with a great note at this awesome spot! A coworker recommended it to me and I was not disappointed. I might even go as far as saying it may be my new fave! The place had a chill vibe with comfy seats and good music. We started off with some on the house miso which a lot of restaurants don't do that so I was very satisfied with that! We got the garlic edamame, crispy roll, and JD roll which were all very flavorful and delicious ~ so tasty! The crispy roll was my favorite, I was looking for a satisfying crunch and it definitely did it for me! Service was super quick, everyone was friendly, and they even have menu pics, which is always a plus. Can't wait to come back!

Ozora has been my favorite sushi restaurant in the east bay for many years. Their fish is fresh and their rolls are more fish-forward and less dependent on sauces for flavor like other EB spots. All the workers and line cooks are friendly here! Here's a bunch of my favorite rolls: Hanabi 2: super savory, tuna is amazing Ichiban: lovely Smokey flavors Aloha and JD: both poke-style sweet with a slight kick, great tuna rolls Fantastic monkfish and uni. They have gluten free soy sauce and will gladly modify rolls for gluten allergies. The cherry blossom and crazy horse are great GF options too.

Simple taste, clean environment, and good service. Quality of sashimi, maguro, hamachi, and sake was above average compared to the price. Sashimi. salad, and rice was good enough simple meal to me $26 plus tax and tip came out at $35.

Free mochi ice cream I got with Yelp coupon for checking in.
    Jennifer G.

The food is good. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Their tempura batter is really light.

We (4 of us) got seated right away for dinner at 6:35pm or so, but it took around 20 mins to be given water and to order our food. It seemed there were a lot of takeout orders and they were possibly short staffed since there was just one person packing the takeout orders and seating us / taking orders and bringing the food. After we ordered, we got our waters and it took another 30+ mins for the first couple dishes and even longer for the others. We were there for 2 hours! Ugh!!!! The food itself was good and portions were satisfactory as they were above average. A lot of izakaya a was above average, especially the wait time haha. We tried the following- Gobo chips- more of gobo tempura. It came with a mentaiko sauce which I really enjoyed. Pretty greasy and a lot more batter than I prefer with gobo chips. Gyoza- pretty standard, but good. A Special Roll- soft shell crab inside with avocado and salmon outside were the highlights. Few pieces, but decently sized. Pretty good roll overall. Ocha-zuke- Love these tea / dashi rice with pack of flavor and wasabi. Got both the salmon one and the spicy cod roe ones. Both were good. Love chazuke. Chicken karaage- says 5 pieces, and they were humongous! Tonkotsu ramen- didn't look so appealing, but was alright Bento box with chicken, mix tempura, California roll- he liked the box. I didn't try anything here. I'd come back if it was guaranteed that the food wouldn't take sooooo long. The person serving was nice and had great attitude. They def checked on regulars more often.

I was handed my receipt to fill out. She watched as I filled in the respected lines. I did not leave a tip - as it was a up order, and service thus far was not to par. I waited for my order... 8 minutes later it was ready. Before leaving I checked the bag, order correct, but lacking my preference of soy sauce. I asked the host for more she came back with ONE packet, and tossed it in the bag I was holding. I said out loud "oh just one?" Then asked the sushi chef if they had little to go containers for soy sauce and if I could get one of those. He said yes and instructed the host to fill one for me. She did, came out and handed it to me with what I interpreted was an annoyed look. I said thank you and left. Fascinating to say the least. I guess I was asking for too much. Sushi was decent. I know I tasted the sauce there, but I wish it was a tab bit more noticeable. Chicken Teriyaki and Tempura Lunch Combo: This is so much food for a lunch combo. I honestly was able to make two servings out of this. The edamame beans are a nice appetizer to start and the salad had a very delicious dressing. The teriyaki chicken was as expected and the sauce was not overtly sweet. The tempura was also fried to crispy perfection for me and they gave you ample amount of vegetables and two pieces of ebi shirmp. Overall, I had a good time here and I would love to come back again.
