    GT Treats!!!

If you blink, you might walk right past this spot. Truly a tiny, inconspicuous bakery off of Utica Ave. between Church and Snyder, P&S has a hole-in-the-wall feel. But! They are churning out wonderful Guyanese treats for the people! And i know what i'm talking about - some of the most lauded Guyanese bakeries here in NYC: Linda's, Bamboo Garden (bakery section), and Sybil's (in Queens), all have a true rival in P&S because P&S has them beat with FRESHNESS!. And they're truly under the radar - my Momz randomly put me onto P&S on some, "What?! You think only YOU know good places in this city?! Steuuuuuuppppssss." Touché, Mom. While they don't have the variety that the bigger bakeries have, their freshness and flavor keep me coming back. i recommend their salara, cheese rolls, pine tart*, and whole wheat bread.Their salara is actually nice and light while being not overly sweet; the cheese in the cheese rolls has great flavor within the soft pastry; the pine tart is perfectly made; and their whole wheat bread is pillowy soft, a little crumbly, and delicious with butter. i'm actually gaining weight just THINKING about their pastries, but everything i've tried has been delightful. Overall: It def doesn't look like much from the outside, and standing room is precious real estate in there! On a busy day, especially on the weekend, it might feel cramped, but don't fret, the line moves quickly, and you'll be so happy with your goods in the end. *Tip 1: With the Guyanese accent, there's sometimes no plural, so it's perfectly fine to say "Let me get two pine tart," or, "Yuh got any cheese roll left?" See - you're even getting a linguistics lesson - you're welcome! **Tip 2: No idle lingering - as soon as you walk in, survey the display case, quickly examine the price list, order at the window, pay, and then step to the left to wait for your order. i'm just tryna help you get your treats in a timely manner AND avoid gettin' cussed out. Happy eating!

First time coming in person (I have been spoiled and a fantastic coworker would bring in different…read moretreats from here on occasion). The space is relatively small, with a line inside and outside and a few tables outside. The length of the line and wait time varies based on the time of day and if you go on a weekday vs weekend. Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

Dropped by Radio Bakery on the Tuesday morning after Memorial Day and the lines weren't too crazy…read more I got there in time to grab some breakfast items and baked goods, and then waited at a table outside for the lunch items to get set out around 11AM. I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

Radio Bakery is a very popular bakery in Brooklyn. This has been my second time and each time there…read morewas a line outside, however it moves quickly and the space inside is very small. Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .

This was delicious but they should definitely keep it on a warming tray or something! It was nice and cheesy with a good amount of the bacon and a whole egg inside. Also had the peach iced tea (doesn't come sweetened but they have options on the bar opposite the register. Service was quick and friendly I was in and out. Grabbed a spot on the bench under the tree to chow down.
