PF Changs is always a hit with our family. Love the chicken lettuce wraps and the vegetable spring rolls. The eggplant is tasty. They change up their menu periodically for whatever reason and we miss some of our past favorites like hot and sour soup and orange/general's chicken but what they do offer is flavorful and good. I normally wouldn't write a review for a chain...but feel compelled after reading the other reviews. My mom lives in the area and we order from this restaurant every time we come to town. We get takeout, but it's always on point, delicious... and just what you'd expect from a PF Chang's. . This weekend we had a variety of the appetizers (crab wontons, egg rolls, lettuce wraps - both tofu and chicken, soup, and more). Got a chance to visit this restaurant on Valentine's Day. The service was great especially considering the staff was doing everything in their power to seat as many people with reservations while still following strict covid-19 guidelines. The restaurant also stayed open later than expected to accommodate all patrons who needed additional time for their meals since most customers weren't allowed to sit during their reserved time slots due to time constraints. Yes, it's a chain, but that doesn't mean the food is bad, but it does make it consistent. The setting is very nice, nice lighting and the service is really, chop chop! It's not authentic, and having been to China many times, if it was, it wouldn't be popular. Much of authentic Chinese food, is based on recipes designed for fatty meat and unusual "variety" proteins. We liked the Beef Chow Fun, and the Kung Pow Chicken was not far off the mark. Yes, many dishes need more flavor, but they bring you many condiments so you can finish the seasoning yourself. We loved the mini desserts. I hate to say it, but when it comes to Chinese, it's probably your best bet. We have little if no great Chinese food in this town. read more

Went with the family to P.F. Changs tonight. I wasn't surprised that we got a excellent waitress. I'm accustomed to going to P.F Changs in Columbia, MD and the service there has always been good. We started out with the lettuce wraps and salt and pepper calamari. For dinner I got the prawns, and my lady got Pad Thai. The waitress was very polite and attentive. Food came out in good time, and drinks stayed full. I think this will end up being my go to Changs. I was very impressed. Today I didn't even have to use my A.K. My sister and I have been taking advantage of the specials at P.F. Chang's over the last few months, and I am impressed! Not only are there really reasonable lunch and dinner options, the recipes boast, and deliver, very fresh and diverse meals. Their hot and sour soup is the best I think I've ever had (and I'm kinda picky) and their meal choices, like bipembap have the most lovely fresh veggies - straw mushrooms and spicy peppers - and the most tender beef. Their fried rice is really good too. Believe me - they've turned their menu into one of the most appealing - I really enjoy it. Only one recommendation - a little too much salt in all of the meals. Take out order was "OK". My Peking Duck was a bit dried out and they forgot the white rice I also ordered. How can you forget the white rice?! For an Asian restaurant that's like a tennis player forgetting his tennis balls. Also construction all around the restaurant for curb side pick up made it almost impossible to find. The worst. I ordered curbside and the young lady who took the call sounded like she should not be answering that line. I simply ordered Combination fried rice, add spice, add ginger, hot mustard on side, chopsticks. Anywho, I called to let them know I was there. I was told the food would be right out. After 15 minutes, I walked to the bar to pick up my carry out. Smh... I should've known. My container was labeled "Jenner" instead of ginger. Had it once before at this location and wasn't impressed. A year later, hoping something had improved and they have not. Small, Expensive portions. They don't even fill up the rice container. Each portion is good for one-two people. Any mom and pops Chinese restaurant gives more food, for 2/3rds the price. The food itself is less than impressive. Worst service ever here. My husband recently posted for our anniversary. We decided to try again for my birthday the other day- again- the dessert is my favorite. We walked in, there were about four tables total and the hostess standing at the front with his back to us. We waited about 2-3 min without him turning around until a server walked up grabbed a few menus and took us to our table. We waited 8 minutes while we watched a couple servers stand around the hostess stand talking. No one greeting us no one asking for our drink order. We tried to keep a positive attitude with it being a celebration. But eventually it felt rude and intentional. We got up and left. The idea of a $100 check with employees staff who don't care. The regional manager contacted me and was even going to send a gift card to try it again - it never arrived. Well tonight my daughter begged for PF Chang's as a meal. We compromised and said we'd order take-out. The service was great and the food was ready when we arrived. However, we came home to find 4 orders of Mongolian Beef burned and nearly inedible. Sitting here today for our 9 year wedding anniversary. My wife loves the desert. 4 tables in the dining room. 2 servers on. Slowest service I've ever had at an upscale casual restaurant and I eat out three times a week. Every trip to the table when we asked for something took several minutes. Water. Carryout boxes. This past Saturday I experienced the worst service ever at the Annapolis location. We were seated & left there for 30+ mins before anyone came to take our order. The 1st waiter finally came, placed napkins, stated she'd return but never came back. A 2nd waiter stopped by, acknowledged that he'd serve us...but he never returned. The hostess (Christian?) eventually brought our food 45 mins later b/c "1 of the kitchens were down". This was my friend's first PF Chang's experience and I had high expectations because we've frequented this location since it opened. To my (and his) disappointment, PFC earned 1 star only because the manager & hostess did their best to alter our experience for the better. It will be a while before we return to Annapolis in hopes that mgmt can return it to a service oriented establishment. I was very, very disappointed this time around. read more

I've patronized this location of this restaurant for over 15 years. The portion sizes have gotten smaller and the price has not. I spoke with Jasmine the manager when I ordered take out today and expressed my concerns. She assured me she would ensure I received the portion size I expected. After receiving my food and the portion was...drumroll...small, I followed up with Jasmine via phone. She rudely told me that I'd received the right sized meal and invited me to order (and of course pay for) extra meat in my entree. I wish I could remember the name of our waiter, because he was much better served working at a Denny's than at PF Changs. This was my first experience at a PF Changs (I tend to stay away from chains, and now I remember why) but my boyfriend's mother picked the place for a special occasion because she is gluten free and they cater to gluten free diets. In short order, here is why I will never go back: 1) Our waiter called my boyfriend's dad "buddy", in a very condescending way, because the waiter was getting frustrated with him. Very obviously. 2) When asked if he could bring us salt and pepper, he replied "this is a chinese restaurant, we don't HAVE salt and pepper here." 3) The waiter constantly blamed the kitchen for the slow service and the temperature of our soups (cold). He also blamed them for not having any of those noodle crackers for the soup. I waited tables for five years (and was a restaurant manager for one) and blaming the kitchen for stuff like that is a) a lie and b) downright low. 4) I only eat seafood, so I ordered the street noodles without chicken. When our entrees came out, you bet mine had chicken in it. I only realized this after I found a piece by eating it. What I found hilariously interesting about this experience was that PF Changs' management bent over BACKWARDS as soon as my order was wrong. There was no manager watching the tables, no one checking on order times or listening in on the catastrophe that was our table by the time our entrees came out- but as soon as there was chicken in my dish, the big guns were brought out. The manager comped my meal, brought me not one but TWO replacements for my original dinner and apologized for a solid three minutes about the mistake. Bottom line, this place is run like a Ruby Tuesday's. If you want diner caliber service and mediocre food (hopefully at least what you ordered) because it's a couple dollars cheaper than the mom and pop place down the street, be my guest. I, however, will be sticking to places where the quality of service is as important as the quality of my dinner. read more

We made a reservation for a group of 11 on a Saturday at 3pm for my husband's birthday. I was a little turned off when we were told that our group must be out by 5pm as there is some sort of limit for large groups. Is that not a pretty big customer service faux pas? But, since it was where my husband wanted to go we figured we'd go and give it a shot. The service was typical of that when 18% is already added in. Infrequent refills, food brought by the runners instead of the server, a wrong bar drink, a missing appetizer... On the flip side, everyone enjoyed their food. I found my meal to be overly sauced and prefer the cheaper chinese take-out version. I'd probably go back, if invited by others, but I can't imagine selecting it again on my own. read more

Some of you read my Cheesecake Factory review, so you already know how I feel about these poseur chain places. I suppose that if you're expecting "American" food and you go to PF Chang's, then you won't be disappointed. At the suggestion of a visiting relative, I took the kids there for lunch recently. Chickadee was pleased with the kids' pack (an activity book and bendy sticks). There is no dedicated kids' menu. I ordered her the egg drop soup with chow mein noodles and a side of rice. I brought some fruit from home (hate doing that, but since I can't get a complete meal for her, I feel like I have to). The waitress was nice to Chickadee and addressed her directly several times during our meal. She made sure to offer refills and ask if she was enjoying her lunch. I opted for the lunch sized tofu and veggies with brown rice. Eh. It was a bit bland but passable. The lunch menu is a good bargain though, and the portions are generous and reasonably priced. The dessert concept is great--little cakes for $2 a pop. Chickadee tried the apple pie and wasn't a fan. Can't vouch for any of the others as we all skipped dessert. Love the idea though! While I give props to our server for talking to Chickadee, she overdid her spiel with the rest of us. Guess that's part of the waitstaff indoctrination, but it's still annoying. If you like PFC and you don't mind that there's not a kids' menu, then take your peeps on over. There are high chairs available as well as a changing table in the women's room. Used to like them but gave up on them after 2 bad pick up experiences. The takeout crew is horrible. You call from pick up space to confirm you've arrived, if they pick up they'll act confused and then tell you it will be right out. Last time had to call 5x's. 2nd time they acted like the first call hadn't happened. 3rd and 4th x's they just picked up phone and hung up. Fifth time when I complained the girl who answered said " I want you to know there's a bunch of us and I'm not the one hanging up on customers. " Bratty teens and no mgmt. food was cold and 45 minutes late. Won't be back when COVID is over. read more

Worst orange chicken entree. Why be so fancy? Just make the orange chicken the way it should be. I ordered to go , received it, sampled, and called in to receive a refund that same moment. It happened so quick that manager just voided the transaction like it never happened. I never will return. I sat here once for a dinner. The ambiance is nice but the lighting is dark even during daytime. The food prices are expensive. Most to go hosts want tips for bringing your food out , smh. It's part of your job. While many of their dishes are quite good (and a nice break from the usual strip mall Chinese food joints), the slow service and smarmy attitude of the staff are the ultimate downfall of this popular eatery. This is not an Asian Fusion restaurant, as some other reviewers have noted. If you come here expecting true Asian Fusion you will be disappointed because it's pretty standard Chinese fare. I have been to the Annapolis location two times; once for carry-out and once for sit down service. When we went in for carryout, we were told to go to the bar (larger PF Changs locations have an actual carry-out area, which, for me, is preferable to having to wait in the bar for my food). When we arrived at the bar, we waited at least 5 minutes for a casual glance from the bartender, and then another 5 for actual acknowledgment. The food was packed nicely and was well-presented for carry-out food, which it should be when you spend $50 on carry-out for two people. The food was nicely prepared, albeit a bit greasy. On our sit down visit, we were informed that they were out of both spring rolls and hot and sour soup, so we went with egg rolls, which were served swimming in a pool of grease (literally). The entrees took another 25 minutes and were served cold. Before we even had time to ask about dessert, a check was on the table and we felt like we were being rushed out the door. At the end of the day, the restaurant is too small and feels cramped and chaotic as a result. People squish by each other in an uncomfortable mash as servers rush in and out of the chaos. While the servers seem to do the best they can, service comes off as smarmy and rushed. Give this location a pass. Try one of PF Changs larger locations in Columbia or Baltimore. This one's just got the recipe all wrong. read more

Seems to me people love this place. Just can't understand though. Disappointing experience. MAHI MAHI was bland and served with soppy CILANTRO RICE. My hubby ordered the SHRIMP in GARLIC SAUCE w/SNOW PEAS and BROCCOLI ... had no inkling of a pinch of salt at all. To top it off the TRES LECHES mini-dessert was just a parfait of whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs. What a travesty :-( read more
