I absolutely dislike the food. It's not authentic Chinese food. Nonetheless the place is nice and clean.

Awful experience at the White Marsh, MD location on yesterday. My telephone order was rather cold when I picked it up and the manager, Patrick Scannell was pretty dismissive when I bought it to his attention. I called to inquire about an entree and ended my call by saying I will call back shortly to place my order. The order taker told me I don't have to call back later because they have the option of setting a time to prepare the order and I can pick it up at the specified time. I asked whether or not my food would be hot when I arrived because I was worried they might prepare it early and I wanted assurance it would be freshly prepared. The order taker convinced me that it would be cooked fresh and hot when I arrive for pick up. When I arrived at the take out counter, I noticed a bag of food on the counter. As I stood and waited for someone to realize I was there, I kept hoping the bag was not my bag of food. After waiting eleven minutes, I decided to walk into the restaurant to see if I could find anyone. I did not immediately see anyone so I peeked into the kitchen. After a few minutes, a server noticed me and apologized for the delay. He went to the take out counter and started ringing me up then handed me the bag on the counter. I was pretty upset to discover my food had been sitting for an accumulative 15+ minutes and they did not so much as think to put it in the warmer. I inspected the food and immediately felt the containers were not even warm. I noticed the noodle were very stiff... the shrimp and chicken had white spots from the condensation. I asked to speak to the manager because I was pretty disappointed that the meal was obviously cold. Patrick Scannell introduced himself as the restaurant manager. As I began expressing my concerns, he stood with a smirk on his face. He kept interrupting me insisting they just put the bag on the counter seconds ago. I explained to him the time frame that I waited for someone to even realize I was at the counter. Patrick went on and on making excuses about the fact that my food was cold. Alllll throughout the interaction, he did not even look sincerely concerned based on the smirk on his face. He did however sarcastically say, "would you like my business card if you decide to file a complaint"? I accepted his business card and paid for my meal. I returned to my office to discover they did not even put plasticware or napkins in the bag. I am VERY upset about trusting them to do an advance order and how Patrick handled the situation. I firmly believe the manner in which he offered his business card suggested that the chain of command has little to no accountability when it comes to customer complaints. Clearly the matter was a joke to Patrick or, he mistook me for a fool that would pay for cold food and not escalate my concerns! I will be sharing my review EVERYWHERE!!!! read more

I like the food. That being said, there is a problem with the service. We always sit at the bar. My husband and I have been there at least five times. I like to take advantage of the holiday offer of buying $100 in gift cards and getting a $20 gift card free. Back to service. I've never been there when there have been more than, maybe three other people at the bar. The last time I went with my husband. There was one other person at the bar and the bartender couldn't tear himself away from her to even check on us. Our drinks were empty for quite a while. It was an older woman, so maybe it was family. Husband refused to go back. I had to enlist the help of a girlfriend to go with me so I could use my soon to expire $20 gift card. Wouldn't you know, same thing again?! I mean, we were the only ones at the bar when we got there. We thought someone had left recently, as their dirty glasses were still on the bar. I understand the bartender also makes drinks for the servers. I counted four in the hour or so we were there. Our lunches came out separately. She mentioned something to the food runner, but was too busy eating her own lunch and drinking water from a giant milk jug, to offer an explanation or apology to us. Later, she asked us if we'd like another round. We declined. Someone came in, and her undivided attention was now with this patron. We asked for the check twice. Maybe she didn't hear us. We were three stools away. We waved her down like castaways. We finally got the check, and we on our way. Pet peeve: I hate when one of us asks for water, so only one of us gets water. Really? Do we both have to make a special request? AND, as we were leaving, those dirty glasses from the guest who had come and long gone, were still sitting on the bar. read more

2nd time at this location. Wanted to give it another try as the 1st visit was a disappointment , this is one time consistency is not a good thing. Truth is it was worse this time around. We like to sit at the bar to eat where service is typically more attentive --- not the case tonight. A runner delivered food and we did not have place settings, utensils, etc. had to ask for water and flag them down for a second refill. Ordered one of the original dishes enjoyed many times in the past, sauce was very watery, more like a broth. When complaint was made, one bartender completely agreed and the other rushed over and said it was because I asked for extra ginger. Never encountered that at other PF Chang locations. Egg rolls were greasy, but the chicken Dali was very nice, hence the 2 stars. Will not visit this location again, however I will return to the Columbia, MD and Tysons Corner, VA locations that are always on their game. read more

I would not recommend this restaurant. I went to the restaurant with my lady and noticed they placed all of the African Americans in back corner of the restaurant. I asked the waitress to move me to the open area which was empty other than some Asians and a Caucasian couple. Nice ambiance but I will never eat there again. read more

I really used to like Pf Changs but then again I used to like McDonald's so my past judgement is questionable. The last several times I visited this location my service hasn't been great & my food greasy beyond enjoyable. I've tried this location several times but it gets continually worse. The sat me in the booth beside the kitchen. Which really sucked. i feel about restaurant kitchens the way i feel about sausage. I'd rather be ignorant about the process and just enjoy the end result. Please keep in mind that when I go to Pf Changs I'm not expecting authentic Chinese, heavy on veggies, light on sauce etc. I am expecting Americanized sauced up fried Chinese cuisine poser on a plate. That has its place like a donut has its place and can be completely enjoyable. However, the uber greasy sugary gelatinous nonsense on a plate that the white marsh location has been serving up lately is a kin to slop! I ordered the egg rolls which arrived at the table floating in a PUDDLE of grease. Again I don't expect egg rolls to be nutritious but I also don't expect a deep fryer's worth of grease on my plate either. That was followed by the Chang's Spicy Chicken, which used tobbe my favorite dish here. Yeah. Umm. Not so much. Have you ever had soft, mushy chicken? Apparently raw chicken is a new delicacy that I'm not cool enough to eat. Top this off with my being conpletely privvy to the conversation in the kitchen when I sent back my undercooked chicken, complete with the complaining of the cook. Why did I give it 2 stars you ask? Because my citrus tea was delish and my waitress was very sweet & besides almost getting salmonella I had a decent time. read more

I would normally give this a 4 or 5 star rating because of the food, staff and cleanliness. I took 2 stars away because the last time I came in and sat at the bar, it was not clean and the fish I ordered was rubbery and tasteless. Normally, I would not complain about the bar being dirty (not wiped of crumbs and wet from previous drinks) but, I asked the bartender if they could wipe it down and they made a big deal out of it, with a pissed off look on their face, coming from around the bar, pulling out chairs by screeching them across the floor and wiping down the bar with a melodramatic flair. If I was at a theater I would have given rave reviews for the performance. I thought to myself, "Maybe they are having a bad day". Then the usually savory and delicate sea bass came out tasteless and rubbery:( I had to send it back. This is the first time I have ever had these issues here. I hope it was just an off day and not a foretelling circumstance. I will go back and try again. If they are back up to par, I will update my review. read more

Nice service but my meal just wasn't great Ginger chicken and broccoli. The broccoli and ginger might have been flashed cooked. It was pretty much raw and the ginger was very bitter. They arranged the broccoli around the chicken, water pooling in the bottom of the plate. It was not mixed in with the chicken and sauce which made it very tasteless. read more

Definitely a family favorite location to go to when you want a lot of food for a good price. This establishment in particular has consistently provided delicious food for its customers throughout all of the years I have come here. I am really writing this review, not to compliment the restaurant (although it does deserve high praise), but to shed light on the superb work ethic and customer service of one waitress. Her name is Meghan/Megan. The way she interacted with me and my family made the fact that today was her first day "on the floor", as she referred to it, absolutely unbelievable. She consistently checked up on us, got us drinks, had a cheerful smile, and gave her opinion on many food items to try (they were all delicious). Even when one of our orders never made it to our table, she apologized and got someone to take it off our bill. Then she held a conversation with us about school, home life, and other small talk topics. She did all this while taking care of other customers and helping out some of her fellow employees in the exact same manner. 100% would recommend this location for its fantastic food, atmosphere, and pleasant customer service! read more

If I could leave no stars I would have. This is the worst PFC I've ever eaten in and I haven't eaten in many. The food was absolutely horrific and the service even worse. The waitress named Dia had a bad attitude for some reason. My son worked at the one in Dallas at North Park and asked the waitress if they still sold the "Duck:. She said no with an attitude and rushed us to order. We should have known when we pulled in right up to the front of the restaurant what the story was going to be. After we ordered our food and it was brought out to us, we had to wait about 15 minutes for the rice and was unable to eat. I got up and asked for the manager and was told that she was in the kitchen. I waited for about 10 minutes and she never came out of the kitchen. She finally came to our table very angry and took a portion of the bill offf. Dia the waitress came to our table 3 times and asked my granddaughter if she wanted a refill on water. Never once did she ask how the food was, or if myself, my sister and son would like another drink. Needless to say the manager named Jackie and her staff have put me off of PFC forever. The worst food I have eaten in a long time. What a waste of money...this location should be shut down!!!!! read more

Not a usual pfchang restaurant. I would not recommend the white marsh location. They don't have items listed on their menu. When I asked the manager about items not available, he said that there are many items listed on the menu that are not available in this location. I came to white marsh location at 8 pm for dinner. I think they still have the lunch cook working in the kitchen because the food portion was small. No lie. My food portion was the same as my child's chicken portion. 17 bucks for beef 16 bucks for chicken was a big waste. I will never come to this white marsh location. I hope one of their good managers reads this and tries to fix this place and bring up to the appropiate PFChang standards. The manager they had tonight was no different than horse statue outside. read more

Several business collegues of mine (and I) had our credit card numbers stolen at this restaurant. 5 of 8 of us who had dinner here in February subsequently had identical fraudulent charges on our credit cards in April. Went to PF Changs in Whitemarsh MD today for lunch with my boyfriend. All was well until we saw a huge ROACH crawling across the bar. I mean a HUGE Pregnant roach. I screamed OMG and the manager came over and covered it with a napkin, apologized, and proceeded to clean our area taking all the food away. He said he would comp the check and asked if we wanted anything to take home. Of course not. He understood and said this wasn't common, but i'm totally done with PF Changs. The only good thing about this place was the waitress. She provided great service. The food tasted like the PF Changs frozen meals you buy in your local grocery store, and thats not a good thing. Left some money on the table and walked out when we'd been there an hour and hadn't gotten our entrees. I have been there twice with the same bartender who does very little but talk with customers he knows and ignores the others. He forgot to put in my food order and I waited more than 30 minutes for an appetizer. Food was excellent, atmosphere was fine, but service was terrible. We were seated fairly quickly, as they were not terribly busy. Hostess acted like she didn't want to be there. Once we were seated, it took Kate, our waitress a fair amount of time to take our drink orders. We knew what we wanted by then, so we ordered food, too. Appetizers were delivered by someone other than Kate, but we were not given plates. We flagged someone else down to ask for plates, and got them. Kate was no where to be found during all of this time. Finished the appetizer and needed more water. Kate stopped by and noticed this and said she would get more. She passed in front of our table a couple times, but no water. Our meals came, delivered by yet another person, still no water. After a couple minutes, a new person filled our water. We finished our meal and asked for the check when Kate showed up to take our plates. She was quick to bring it to us, but very slow to come pick it up. We had our coats on and were looking for the manager to pay and discuss the service, when Kate reappeared and took our check payment. It took some time for her to come back with my change, obviously counted out to get a better tip. However, we had a couple of dollars to give a small tip for horrible service. If I had to break out the star rating; Food; 5 stars, excellent Setting: 4 stars, good Service: 1 star, 0 for Kate, but the others get a star for getting us what we needed on a not crowded night. read more

My partner and I decided to sit at the bar. Manager Dana was covering for the bartender. She was very pleasant at first, but seemed unfamiliar with where things were (which makes sense, as I will explain later). When the bartender returned, he was sweaty, disheveled, with his dirty jeans hanging too low, wrinkly shirt from two shifts ago, and hit gut hanging out. He was a disaster. The manager was trying to engage him to ask where some items were here and there, generally check-in with where she was with service (I think he was on a break). Anyways, he was so clueless, which was funny at first until she was visibly upset and almost was making fun of him? "Oh he's clearly not a great listener," "He just doesn't like to listen to me." Being a F&B Manager, I felt really bad, but it was awkward too. The countertops were disgusting. People sitting on both sides of us, came and went, with never being sanitized. Throughout the meal, I never saw the bartender wash 1 dish, wipe or polish anything, and also wasn't properly storing the wine. The dish sink was COVERED with stacked glasses, then servers let the bar dishes pile at the end of the counter. I was impressed that Dana was very attentive to my partner's selfish allergy, but they still got sick. I would assume is was somehow the barkeeps fault as he was so stupid, seriously. He was poking-fun at their allergy the rest of the night, and it became very uncomfortable and made them feel very self conscious. Nothing else you can comment on? How about cleaning something? Maybe start with the cutlery/rami sorter that was absolutely disgusting with rice, spilled sauces, and, unsurprisingly, spiked & unpolished cutlery. The rice was over-cooked, and my partner felt sick very soon, which I would just assume is cross-contamination of some sort. The kitchen was very accommodating in changing the oil, and maybe other things, but they didn't walk-in with a swollen throat, so...Zero attentiveness from the bartender to possibly correct any issues with the food. As if this wasn't a bad enough experience, we waited nearly 10 minutes for the bartender to close our tab (of course, that process another uncomfortable and just weird comment about allergies). The bartender was sitting ON THE SINK chatting with two friend of his, presumably former employees considering he was trash-talking the hourly and management. Please fire this guy. PF Chang's is a guilty pleasure of many, and this guy is killing it - not in a good way. read more

Don't use curbside pickup. My time for pickup was 6 pm. After several phone calls asking when they would bring me my food, it came out at 6:35 pm. I was unable to go inside to get it because my son was asleep in his car seat. The food was cold & they didn't give me the fortune cookies I requested. The crispy green beans were a soggy mess & I had to throw them out. This is the 2nd time I've had trouble with curbside pickup. Not ordering from there again. What a shame I took visiting family here and wasted money and the opportunity to enjoy good food with good company. Nothing I ordered was even mediocre. It was foul. Lets start with the egg drop soup. The "broth" was VERY viscous and lacked good flavor. It was just a really bad rendition of egg drop and was way overpriced. The egg rolls. Ok to be fair, they actually did reach the level of mediocrity and came with a good helping of grease to boot. The pan-fried noodles with chicken. were. despicable. Where was the chicken? Or the mushrooms, bok choy, carrots, celery and onions? All I got was a plate of mangled hard noodles with a greasy sauce. This was one of the worse dishes I have ever ordered. The spicy chicken was not spicy and just tasted like sweet and sour chicken. On to the waiter. At first I was impressed. She seemed respectful and what a memory!! Not taking notes on our 3 soups, 3 entrees, 1 appetizer and bevies. Ah ha. she in fact had a very poor memory and brought out the wrong dishes. She insisted I ordered the lo mein and told another server it was a miscommunication in a way that put me at fault. It was comical. Don't have wait staff try to be fancy and memorize orders if they are not capable. How embarrassing for them. Also the little ditty in the beginning about the sauces was not needed. The sauces are nothing special and can do without the hype and attempt at alchemy by the waitress. Would never come again. read more

I'm a regular at P.F. Chang's. I order carry out 98% of the time & I've always thought the food and service was excellent. The cost is higher than the average Chinese place but again the food has always been GREAT. I happened to be in the White Marsh area last week and called in an order. The gentleman was friendly and reported my order would be ready at 7:35PM. I showed up around 7:45PM and was informed my food wasn't ready yet... O.K, that happens from time to time, no big deal. However, 20 minutes later no food and the server was nowhere to be found. Eventually I got my food and returned to my hotel room where I was disappointed to find less than desirable portion of steamed rice and the Kung Pao chicken was disturbing. The chicken is normally good quality, all white meat but there was definitely something wrong almost like it was some type of processed meat? Gross! Hope this isn't a trend. read more
