Currently in Baltimore visiting for a wedding, however last night I was able to get some dinner with some close friends who live out here. My best friend recommended Nine Tailed Fox and OMG!! The photos did not do this place justice, the building is amazing and in a beautiful area! The service was phenomenal! Everyone was nice and genuinely caring! Huge plus for me and we didn't even take our seats yet! Our food was phenomenal! I had the Shrimp Chew Mein, Orange Chicken, and broccoli! Aesthetically, this place is beautiful! Everyone was very friendly! The food was good. It's family style and they don't have a kids menu which was a bummer for our 4 year old. He did end up eating the food we ordered and then unfortunately, he had an upset stomach later in the evening. There's a variety of meal options and some beer/alcohol, although the options are a bit limited. Plenty of seating both inside and out and free parking. I had the duck again. Also had vegetable fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. This time we also walked in again, without a reservation and were able to get a table right away, with no wait. We were seated upstairs and outside again which was great because it was a sunny, beautiful day. They didn't seem that busy. I was in the Baltimore area for work. One of my friends reserved this place for dinner. I hadn't Chinese food in the area so I was excited to try it out. As we walked in we noticed that the restaurant so full on a Wednesday evening. I am so glad my friend made the reservation. We had to wait 10 minutes to get our tables ready. Ambiance is 10/10. Our server was great as well. She recommended some of her favorites from the menu. We ordered hot and sour soup, crispy shrimp and chilly wontons. They were all delicious. Nine tail fox had been on my list to visit for some time. So glad I finally made it! The pictures online don't even do it justice. Such a beautiful restaurant! I didn't realize they had a happy hour, as so many times atlas restaurants will only have one temporarily. There never seemed to have any issues with seating. The drinks were good! We visited this restaurant on a Saturday with 3:45pm reservations. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated immediately. The main dining area was dimly lit and the entire restaurant had nice ambiance. Several tables were occupied but the rested not busy. Our waitress arrived shortly after we were seated, provided some recommendations, and informed us that the food would arrive as it was ready (I.e., everything might not arrive at the same time). We started with the Way of the Dragon (cocktail) and Hot and Sour soup. Both were good. Lucky for us, all of our food arrived at the same time (and quickly). We had black pepper beef (a house special), which tasted great; vegetable fried rice; and stir fried garlic pea sprouts. We were not sure what to expect with the pea sprouts but when they arrived they looked like spinach and they tasted amazing!! The bathrooms are individual. They were clean and had the same dim lighting that were in the dining areas. I was nosy so I went upstairs to see the large bar area. I came here for my son's 21st birthday. We decided to sit upstairs at the bar. The decor is beautiful. They also have an outdoor seating area as well. For our appetizer we tried the Hot & Sour Soup, Wings and the Chili Wontons. We tried a few really good cocktails as well. And they also have a non alcohol drink from Tost that was really refreshing. The food for happy hour is smaller portions, but that's all you need. And the main menu is ala carte. Our bartenders were super cool and helped us navigate the menu and have great suggestions. From the entryway it did not appear that anyone was in the restaurant. However, after we strolled the holiday bazaar outside and returned at our exact reservation time when we turned the corner there was a lovely dining room filled with guests. The menu offers traditional and fusion Chinese cuisine. I had the chicken and shrimp shumai and half duck. My mom enjoyed the vegetable fried rice and Chilean sea bass and for dessert the strawberry cloud. We also tried cocktails that were enjoyable. I was so excited to try this new restaurant! Came with my girlfriends on a Wednesday night and honestly, I'm glad we made a reservation. It was packed even on a weekday. The ambience is stunning but it does get very loud and made it hard to enjoy a conversation. Food was above average. We really enjoyed the appetizers/dim sum. The hot sour soup, the Singapore street slaw salad, the chicken chili wontons and mushroom spring rolls were EXCELLENT!!! The main course dishes were average - general tso's chicken, chow mein with chicken, seafood fried rice and okra and eggplant stir fry. For dessert, we shared the custard and the cloud cake. I must say I was really hoping for more, there were things I liked & things I disliked, I'll start with the pros : I loved the idea of Asian Fork-lore as the theme "Nine Tailed Fox", the ambiance and decor was very pretty, from the dim lighting throughout the restaurant, the plants , the outside courtyard and the unique eating booths ! The menu wasn't overwhelming which made it easier for me to make a selection. The flaming lamb chops were really good followed by the halibut was cooked wonderfully! The long stairwell is an added touch of aesthetic! The drinks were pretty good and our server was awesome ! Great location and free parking. Cons: entrees did not come with side orders, Nine tailed Fox seemed like it was used merely for a title and not because of its culture which would've been nice. This is a hard one. It's between 3.5 - 4 stars...guess I have to round up. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Service was just ok. While our food came quickly, we waited on a few dishes well beyond time and a dish that we didn't order, was delivered to our table. We tried the chicken wings, general tso chicken, crab rangoon, Chilean sea bass, Salt & Pepper Prawns, and chow mein noodles. My favorite dish was the crab rangoon! It was amazing. You can actually taste the bits of crab. It was seasoned well, soft on the inside, but crunchy on the outside. The chow mein noodles were really good as well. I wouldn't get the sea bass again as the spice wasn't there. Another favorite of mine were the salt & pepper prawns. The property itself is beautiful. The outside terrace is spacious. My friend and I have been wanting to try this place and so we finally made it down for a girl's night. First of all, the ambiance is stunning! It felt like a very grand space with cozy vibes thanks to the dim lighting. Together, we shared the crab rangoons, general Tao's chicken and Mongolia beef with fried rice. This is not a Chinese place that does 50% takeout like you'd find on the end of a strip mall. It's a modern bistro with professional Baltimore area servers that's served on decorated plates. The food is clean, pretty and super flavorful. We loved it! Great beer and wine selection plus a full bar. We highly recommend!! The prices reflect the care that's taken presenting and serving the food. The 3% added "facilities fee" was a source of note on an otherwise great experience. Kind of nickle and diming. Girl. Show me to my seat. IN THIS EMPTY RESTAURANT. Friends, the place was empty. Maybe 5 tables had patrons. The restaurant is huge so this shouldn't be overwhelming. Anyway, my service was great. Highlights here are the decorations and the eggplant okra dish and the sweet and sour sauce. 3.5, but rounding down for annoying service and inconsistent food. I get that this restaurant is new, and it's always really hard to judge a place right after they open. I think the decoration here is my favorite of all of the Atlas restaurant groups. I really love this deep rich green. I went here for lunch and was shocked to find out that they don't have a separate lunch menu. Everything is the same as their dinner service. I had gotten a lot of feedback that the cocktails here were not very good and it was lunch so we did not drink. We started out the meal with the cucumber salad and I should've listened to my gut and not ordered it because it's hard to do this right, and it was nine dollars for maybe half of a cucumber. I also have expected it to be a smashed cucumber, but it was just cut. That said, do not sleep on their side vegetable dishes. The okra eggplant was the best Asian vegetable dish I have eaten probably this year, and I am still thinking about it. I also as a note really like it when restaurants incorporate local ingredients like the rockfish, which is the state fish of Maryland and there's two preparations of it. I was sad. I didn't get the Szechuan one. The noodles were a big miss for me and the fish was also a miss. There was a big chunk of bone in it, and it was fillet so we did talk to the GM, and he was gracious and offered us complementary dessert. I will say that sweet-and-sour sauce was probably also the best that I've had in Baltimore. Their house made chili crisp oil is also very good. Listen it's an Atlas group, so there's already a lot of biases that come with that but ultimately the service was a little lackluster and the dishes were inconsistent, but I would probably do takeout in the future really only for that delicious Vegetable dish. read more

I didn't have high expectations - how fancy can you get with general tsos and crab wontons - but they proved me wrong. This place feels intimate, and the food is delicious. Beautiful restaurant inside and outside. It's huge with two floors and lots of outdoor deck seating on the second floor. Given they recently opened, there are still kinks to work out but overall, a good first experience. Our server Nila was friendly but was still learning the ropes as she needed to check in with the bartender and cooks on certain drink and menu items we asked about. For drinks, we tried Down Up Kick, Everybody Was, and Intercepting Fist. Drinks were fine, nothing too special although Everybody Was was interesting given it had ube in it. We shared a few items for food - Shrimp and Abalone Shumai (yum), Mushroom Spring Roll (never had mushroom ones before but perfectly crispy and great tasting), Fiery Lamb Chops (fun that it was flaming when it arrived and had great flavor), and Okra and Eggplant Stir Fry (really good). We had wanted to get Peking Duck but the chef wasn't in or something but hopefully next time when we visit. We also decided to try two of their deserts. We got the Strawberry Cloud Cake and Yuenyeung Brûlée. Both weren't too sweet and both were light. We really enjoyed both desserts and it was a great way to end our dinner.
