Right when walking in we were greeted and sat, the staff was super friendly. We were able to enjoy a beautiful seat on the patio and the waitress was incredibly kind! She knew all the answers to my questions about the gluten-free options and was excellent about checking in on us! When it came to the food I must say I was excited because it's hard to find gluten free Chinese. I got the GF fried rice, GF spicy chicken, GF beef and broccoli and shared with my family. I absolutely loved the spicy chicken and fried rice! In my opinion I could live off it. I understand and I was patient due to the extreme heat wave over 102 degrees Sunday afternoon in OC. They had so many customers inside restaurant, everywhere in the mall. It was worthy to wait thou w great taste in the energetic vibe. Loved the bar, dining area too. The menu was great, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai all together. A lot of choices for lunch specials, or a la carte... For pad thai w shrimps, flavorful, lots of shrimps, well seasoned. Give 5 stars. For orange chicken, big chunky piece not the one bite size. This restaurant use to be very good. I am not sure what the changes that have been but it is now bad. I had taken a large group 3 times now. The first time in December 2024 it was excellent. December 2025 it was good. This month horrible. The fried rice was not fried rice it was regular white rice with sauce topped on it. The veggie egg rolls were mushy like they weren't Fried all the way. It was multiple ppl that didn't enjoy their food. Then to top it off. They tried to tax the 20% gratuity. Which was insane. Wanted to try this place for a while now and here I am eating here for the first time. The soups are watery, there's not a slight thickness in them but they're quite tasty. Crab wontons are crispy on the edges but the sauce at the bottom of the wontons are too salty for me. Mongolian beef is fried beef with lots of green onions and sauce, it was pretty good. Pork ribs is tender, tasty and of a good quality of meat. We didn't like the lomein, it lacks flavor and there's no umami at all. The shrimps in the lomein are quite generous. Five of us sat at the bar and was greeted right away. The restaurant is busy but not packed. Place drink and appetizer order. Appetizer showing up randomly. Lettice wraps, then dumpling, then soup, then green beans. All the apps were very good. Ordered food and that all came out timely. The worst experience I have had ever at a restaurant. Their food is all premade and awful. I ordered a chicken dish that did not specify the meat was coated in flour. It was awful and I asked to have it made without the coating. I got a plate with chicken in a clear dirty dishwasher looking sauce that I would feed my dog. I had explained how I eat one meal a day and really look forward to a good meal. We went home having eaten edamame and some not so good salad for $67. The manager even agreed the food was awful. It is bright and fun and the bar area has lots of bar top seating. I made reservations but my husband and I opted for bar top seats instead. Everything was wonderful. The chicken came out very hot and the sauce was good with a hit of sweet and salty, but it was not spicy at all. The Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts were pretty good, maybe a tad bit too hard for me. Cecilia was very understanding of the situation and made us feel appreciated like special customers that go there all the time.
