Well we happened upon P F Changs and immediately thought to bring our family a favorite treat. We ordered Shrimp dumplings to go. Service was quick and curteous. We were able to return to thé first restaurant in perfect timing. The dumplings were cooked to perfection, sauce on the side and my kids devoured them in minutes! I love PF Changs and the Myrtle Beach location is close by. The food at this location gets 5 stars. The service is also good and the ambiance is great. It's located at the Market Common, also great! I am knocking off two stars in the hope someone from the restaurant fixes two important issues. The place seems understaffed, and even with a reservation you have to wait. They don't do a great job at cleaning the table or the floor as guests come and go. My table and seat had to be cleaned again before we could sit down and I had to ask, which I don't like to do. Secondly, and even worse than that was getting a bug in my water for the second time out of my last three visits. First was some sort of worm stuck on an Ice cube, and yesterday 6/16/24, a gnat. Just left the PF Chang's at Market Common - very busy but the wait wasn't that bad for a table - shortly our waiter took our full order - drinks and wonton appetizers were very good - my wife ordered the honey crisp chicken and I ordered the honey crisp shrimp - my wife did not like the chicken so I switched the very good shrimp for her chicken which turned out to be flavorless crisp - left the vast majority of it after telling our waiter it was not good - only tried a few pieces - he took it away and came back saying the manager would not take it off the bill - obviously customer satisfaction is not a concern of this establishment - top it off was given the wrong bill - should have paid that one as it was less then mine with the chicken dinner still on it ... The honey crisp chicken has been my wife's go to meal the numerous times we've been there - so we knew something was not right about it which I did mention... Considering Chinese food options are very limited in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding towns, P.F. Chang's is one a few options we will, on occasion go to. However, it's hit or miss with the food. For example, soup is often served luke warm. Hot would be better. We've had he fried calamari in the past, and it was very good. However, this time was overcooked and tough. Our very pleasant waiter, Alec agreed to take it back for a fresh order. And it was better, but still not prepared correctly. Another PF Chang's oversight is running out of We oolong tea. Oolong is traditional Chinese tea. How does a Chinese restaurant not have an ample supply of traditional Chinese tea?! Finally, cleanliness is spotty. Placed a gift card order from Pf Chang's. Ordered chicken wraps as an appetizer which was delicious and satisfying. Beef and broccoli which was full of nonsense garlic. Wasted food. Didn't even eat it. The egg drop soup was most disgusting taste for an egg drop. I'm sorry it was horrendous. The Kung Pao chicken was good, it was just good from everything else we had, besides the chicken lo mein. I'm so glad we had a gift card. I will NEVER ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. This was a real bummer for us. We decided to get uber eats from here and on their end, it was great. They were quick, easy handoff and honestly there was not much time from when I ordered to when we got the food. They did forget plates for us and we did put a request for some but everything was there it just was not very good. I use to live near one of these chains and loved their honey chicken and decided to get that and it was not great. The taste was off and you really did not get much chicken overall. My daughter got the kids lo mein which tasted extremely bland and then we got edamame which is kind of hard to mess up. We did go into this knowing that it being fresh and in house would be better but this just all around was not a great experience especially for the price. read more

I can't wait to go back. The waitress accommodated me with a cast iron hot pot of water and I put my tea bags in and enjoyed my mixed tea throughout my lunch. My sister-in-law and I decided to get a tempura batter fried fresh green beans for an appetizer and they were out of this world. The dipping sauce reminded me a thousand island dressing. For my main course I had the spicy tempura fried shrimp and California roll sushi. It was mildly spicy and went great with my tea. This is right in the heart of Market Commons. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon we made reservations and asked for a booth. The waitress was kind and courteous but not to attentive which is the way I like to have my lunch. P.F. Chang's has always been a solid choice. I used to frequent this location when I lived in Myrtle Beach. I was in the area with my parents so we decided to stop in for a late lunch. It was pretty busy so the service was a little slow. Our waitress was friendly and somewhat attentive. We chose the fried shrimp dumplings as our appetizer. We all got the shrimp with lobster sauce. Everything was delicious. The portions are made for sharing so they are huge. They have great dessert choices. I'll definitely return if I'm in the area. read more

Don't bother making a reservation. The hostess doesn't know how to do the reservation. We made a reservation for 6:45 was confirmed when we got there we were told it would be 7:30 when we would get seated. Then why bother with a reservation. I would call this an upscale chain restaurant, and one of the best on the Grand Strand, in my opinion. It's also my #1 pick around the Market Common area, just ahead of Gordon Biersch. Every time I ask ANYONE who's eaten here, "what's YOUR favorite dish," they answer "Mongolian Beef," without any hesitation. I am certainly no exception. But we always ask them to swap in some broccoli instead of the scallions. It's unbelievable! But I always feel dumb about the broccoli, because a few spaces down on the menu is ACTUAL "beef & broccoli," so shouldn't I just get that? But the Mongolian Beef is way better, and the waitresses always say that EVERYBODY gets the "broccoli Mongolian" instead. Maybe they can just fix that on the menu for me, haha... My girlfriend and I always like to share that dish and the spicy Kung Pao Shrimp. They compliment each other VERY well! We've also loved many of the different appetizers, and their house fried rice is some of the best around. Beef Broccoli dry and I spit out several pieces after not being able to swallow them and then there is the "Fried Rice". It was totally tasteless no flavor in any direction. All in all I would not recommend this place to anyone. I took home no boxes and left more than half of the Beef and Broccoli and all of the rice on the table. read more

Just had the worst Asian food experience here in MB ordering from pf chang's. Ordered pickup. When we got home and tried the food, we were extremely disappointed. Both our sesame and orange chicken were bland and the breading super soggy. The rice was bland with a weird after taste. My mother-in-law liked her Brussel sprouts tho. What an absolute disaster. We came in hungry, and were met with absolutely unfathomable apathy. The door greeter was wholeheartedly uninterested and rude, telling us "you can sit at the table across from the bar if you want." Well, we opted to do just that. Sat there for a while, and the wait staff completely ignored us at every opportunity. After several minutes and several missed opportunities for engagement, we left feeling completely forgotten by the bar staff. To make it all worse, the greeters were rude on the way out too. Went tonight for my first time with some co workers. Service was great we each got the up-charged rice & noodles that was disclosed before ordering. until one of my friends food was too spicy for her (she ordered the pepper steak) the waitress came around checking & noticed she wasn't eating her pepper steak she asked was everything okay & my friend told her it was just to spicy for her. She then offered to get her something else or an extra side of rice. My friend said sure an extra cup of rice would help. My friend packed up the left overs & was gonna take it home for her husband who likes spicy food. Once the ticket came around we noticed that they charged her for the extra cup of rice that was offered. When we explained it was offered due to the food being too spicy. We were told that they could give us a free lettuce wrap coupon (which they were handing out to EVERYONE for free) Or she could give the food back for a full refund. The food that was already packed up. She didn't want a full refund she just didn't want to be charged for something that was offered to her & was not disclosed that if she took up the offer for an extra side of rice she would be charged. Average. Incredibly small Mongolian beef and dry with a massive side of dry brown rice. Calamari was ok but the sauce tasted like a cleaning product and the crab Rangoon's were ok. I'm from NYC so this would be way overpriced for what is is. I could get way better in NYC for a fraction of the price. All did curbside pick up which was a joke bc i waited outside 30 minutes bc i had no shoes on from the beach so i borrowed my moms big sandals and walked in looking like a crazy with these big shoes to find my food sitting on a take away shelf.
