This place never fails to impress me. Although on the pricey side, the food has always been near perfection and the service has been above par. Although there were two bartenders with one also serving what I believe to be a large party in a side room. They were both attentive to all my needs. While also managing the entire restaurants drink orders. This is by far a go to spot and the rising dragon (pomegranate Margherita) is one of my favorite drinks. We ordered from PF Chang's in Arrowhead through a delivery service last night for Lunar New Year. I cannot rave enough about how excellent all of the food was. We had two orders of Honey Shrimp with White Rice and one order of Beef Broccoli with Fried Rice, 2 Spring Rolls w/Orange sauce and Chocolate cake that comes with Blueberries and strawberries. All of the entrees come with Crispy Noodles. Everything about this food was legendary PF Chang's. I had forgotten how delicious their food truly is because it has been a couple of years since I have been in their restaurant and have never had take out through them. The Honey Shrimp was my personal favorite. It had impeccable flavor. The texture of the batter on the shrimp was wonderful. Each one just seemed to melt in your mouth. The shrimp was to perfection underneath: it was not undercooked or overcooked. The Beef Broccoli was also to perfection: the broccoli had beautiful color to it and was fresh. The Beef had great texture to it and was not too rare or too done, it was just a wonder medium well quality that I love. It had just the right amount of sesame on the beef so that it was easy to remove them if one has digestive issues, as one of those dining last night does. The orange sauce for the Spring Rolls was so delicious we poured a little on our white rice. The white rice and the fried rice was cooked to perfection. The Spring rolls were delicious and had wonderful texture and ample vegetables inside. The Chocolate cake was just a marvelous way to end the entire meal. We divided up one slice among three people. While the bites alone are rich, decadent chocolate the combination of the berries and the sauce is a wonderful way to end a fantastic meal. PF Chang's is my go-to place for several reasons: The service is amazing, the food exceeds my expectations every time, and it's the one place I can go where I don't have to worry about cross-contamination (wheat allergy). PF Chang's not only has a gluten free menu, but they cook GF food on a separate wok to avoid cross-contamination. Anyone that deals with allergies knows how amazing that is! The last time we went, they told us they had brought back their GF soufflé. It was our first time trying it and it was heavenly! Since it is Father's Day they were busy. We sat at the bar to dine rather then waiting on a table. The bar staff was very helpful and the food was good The only reason for not getting five stars was the host staff. They were so busy laughing and carrying on I had to ask for them to acknowledge us. This PF Chang's food is just not the same as last year anymore. Their Fire braised short ribs which costs $31 is only 4 slices on top of the soggy fried rice. The Kung pao chicken is a cheap version of Panda express. The Mongolian beef bowl is so salty and the Crispy honey shrimp is just garbage. We paid almost $200 for 4 people and the food is just Blah.. We will never go back there for overpriced food that's not even yummy. The food is what you would expect from PF Chang's, overall they are very consistent for a chain. We were a bit bummed the mister system wasn't working on the patio because dining outside when it's 100 degrees without them can get a bit toasty. However our server, Victoria, was extremely accommodating. She found us a spot inside where she could still be our server. She was quick with the refills and even offered to split the check 3 ways before anyone asked. She even brought us tea for the road. We were greeted by the manager at the table, thanked me for being a Platinum member and offered the table the New Fizzy Sake they just got in. Delicious and was a free gesture for being a Platinum member. Staff was great and very helpful through out the meal. Food always good. The table thought I was the King because of my Platinum membership. Definitely was treated as a VIP. And with free delivery on my take out orders and double the points, it's a no- brainer. Disappointed! We haven't been to P.F. Chang's in years, never had any complaints in the past. Tonight's experience left us not likely to return. First the good things: delicious margaritas and good service. Our disappointment is with our dinner - mostly mine. I got the Ginger Chicken. My food was served barely lukewarm with huge pieces of broccoli. Steamed? No way. I swear they grabbed raw broccoli, nuked it for 10 seconds and called it steamed. Plus the huge pieces - I couldn't eat them and had no knife to cut into bite sized pieces. When we told the server, he offered to bring a separate bowl of steamed broccoli in bite sized pieces. While the bowl did have bite sized pieces, there were still about 2/3 that weren't. Hubby's Orange chicken was good but his was also served lukewarm. Watch out when you go dine at PF Chang in Peoria, AZ. I went there for lunch on the 26th of December 2023. I ordered one of their lunch bowls and after I started to eat I noticed that the bowl was chipped inside the bowl. I told the waiter about it and he said he would let the head chef know about it. I would have thought the manager would have come out to speak to me about it but he did not. I then went and asked for the manager who acknowledged that the waiter had told him about my bowl being chipped. The manager stated that "sometimes we miss a bowl with a chip in it". Serving food in a chipped bowl is very tacky and reflects badly on the attention to detail in the kitchen . What else are they missing? I have been going to p.f Chang's for many years and I've noticed the portions of food are smaller but the prices have increased significantly. The quality of food is also poor. We hadn't visited this restaurant for a while. Has been one of our favorites. We were disappointed this time. The dynamite shrimp were not spicy. The northern style pork ribs were inconsistently spicy. The first two were very spicy-- spicier than the shrimp. The remaining four were not as spicy. The ribs needed a sauce. The dumplings were so soft we couldn't pick them up with our chopsticks and were bland. Adding soy sauce helped. I will eat almost anything (made of plants) but this was sadly not the best Asian food. The fried rice was good (it's hard to mess that up), but was not too flavorful. The eggplant was super saucy which made it hard to taste anything else. The pad Thai was also lacking in flavor but certainly edible. On the upside, our server was very sweet and attentive. PF Chang's is predictably good food. We pretty much always order the dame darn things and they pretty much always taste the same darn way. Great! They used to have a drink called the Nutty Uncle Chang's" and it was my favorite. They did away with it a few years ago, but between the Chang's in Chandler and this location the bartender could still make it, except this last time. End of an era, no more nutty uncle Chang - so sad. But, service was excellent, as usual. Food was tasty, as usual And, I think the prices are quite fair due to the quality of the food served. PS, If you ask, your server can still mix the three sauces however you like it done. Or just mix your own and experiment. Quality of ingredients have really gone downhill over the years. The beef in the beef and broccoli was so tough, we couldn't even cut into it! Seemed like low quality beef round or worse -really tough, no flavor and bad. The chicken in the orange chicken had so much tendon/grisle I had to spit it out and the coating on the orange chicken was so undercooked it was corn starchy and not crispy- really bad. Shrimp in the lo Mein was small and flavorless - again the quality of ingredients are really bad, just never coming back to PF Chang's, there are much better authentic Chinese restaurants out there. Today was our 6th Anniversary. My wife wanted to go out to dinner after our movie and decided to choose this place. I hadn't been to a PF Changs in awhile, so I was stoked to try it out. We had reservations for 6pm but we were a bit early and arrived at around 5:30. The place was not too crowded so we were seated right away. When we were seated, our waiter didn't make it over to us for about 5 minutes or so. Once he arrived though, the rest of the night went smoothly and because of him, this is why this place gets 5 stars. I will explain later. For our food choices, we went with their chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer and chicken lo mein and Chang's spicy chicken as our entree choices. My wife had a diet Coke and I had water. Here is how the food was.............. Chicken Lettuce Wraps- These are always good! They give you about 6 pieces of lettuce (you can ask for more if needed) as well as a huge mound of minced up chicken and crunchy white noodle things. We always get this appetizer when we come, and it hasn't disappointed yet. Chicken Lo Mein- Chinese spaghetti! Yeah...pretty much sums it up. My wife loves lo/chow mein and will always order it at a Chinese place. PF Chang's version is pretty good. It did not have that much chicken in it, but at least the noodles and veggies were good. I personally wouldn't order this again, but if I am with my wife, I will at least take a few bites of hers. Chang's Spicy Chicken- This stuff was great! It was lightly breaded and fried chunks of chicken, tossed in a semi sweet glaze. It wasn't too spicy like the name promotes, but it did have a warming "kick". The portion size of this was pretty large, too. It was tasty! It was my first time trying it and I would definitely get it again! Service- This is where this meal shined! Like I said earlier, it took awhile for our server Brian to come over to our table (he was busy dealing with other tables..not his fault), but once he did, he provided excellent service. He was very personable and asked us some questions about the movie we had seen etc. He checked on us 3 or 4 times throughout our meal, always had drinks refilled in a timely matter, and was just an awesome dude. The icing on the cake was that when we were done with our meal, he brought out a plate that had "Happy Anniversary" written on it in raspberry puree as well as 2 candles, and 2 chocolate and raspberry dessert won tons on the house. This was one of the best waiters I can remember having at any restaurant over the last 10 years or so. He was awesome and did a great job! Overall, I was pretty impressed and would have given this place about 4 stars. Food was good, atmosphere was nice, service was great. I can definitely see us coming back at some point in the future and hope that Brian is our waiter. He was flat out awesome and definitely made this a 5 star dining experience! read more
