A friend and I recently painted pottery at a nearby business and discovered Cupbop along the way. When we picked up our pottery creations, we met here for lunch. I was vaguely familiar with Cupbop, as I saw them on Shark Tank and one was being built near my old stomping grounds in Las Vegas. For my meal, I ordered the titular item. I selected "Rock" (glazed fried chicken) and "Mandoo" (fried potstickers) as my proteins. I'm a baby, so I did level two spiciness. I really liked the bowl. It was flavorful and filling. Plus, I found the price to be very fair. My friend also enjoyed her bowl. We both tried their Yogo Vera drinks and found them to be a hit too. I would definitely return in the future. read more

Upcharge of .85 for the beef bulgogi but the bulgogi was so tough w lots of gristle couldn't chew it, can't swallow it, had to spit out 95% of the serving. So .85 cents for nothing. If you're serving meat, charging extra on top at least make it edible. Tried a sample of chicken, it was rubbery. Spicy pork was the most edible. But this quality is all on a very low bar, they cover it w thick sweet or spicy sauces to mask it. Pass. read more

I had family in town so I ordered the family pack. It was 6 bowls for like $50 something like that and it came with fried mandu (dumplings). I had a few in my family that can't handle any spice so I got it without sauce. They were not too thrilled with the bowls without sauce. I've been to other locations and so I know what I want. However, when I went this time, they had "Korean fried rice". Now, if you got that option, it only came with 1 meat option, but I need my protein so I paid for the surcharge so I could have 2 meat options. It adds so much flavor as opposed to just white rice with the noodles. Would I eat here again? Obvi bc it was not my first time. Service was very friendly. It was a little bit slow but tbh, the family in front of us ordered multiple bowls and I did as well for my family and they only had 2 people there. So, bring real about it, I didn't expect things to be super fast if they probably haven't worked in a high volume kitchen. They did try though, so I was unbothered. It looked fairly clean inside. I also ordered the Korean corn dog for us to try. It was only okay. I think they should just stick to the bowls. If they want to include more options for sides, they should have kimchee or steamed egg or something imo. It's Korean fast food. This is a great concept. More expensive than it should be but it's good. I liked the tastes of the cabbage with the rice and slaw... the sauce on the slaw was good mixed with everything! First let me start by saying the food is really good! But the reason for 3 stars is you charged $12.95 each for our bowls, and I had very little meat protein. Literally 4 small bite size pieces of the chicken. And not much beef. For the price, should have a somewhat decent amount of protein on there. It's too bad. Walk up to the counter and build your order: a protein (from a mix of BBQ chicken/pork, fried chicken, beef, tofu, veggies, or a combo of two) + sauce (a Japanese mayo + Korean chili blend, ranging in heat level from 1 to 10), served with noodles + cabbage on a bed of white rice. I went with a combination fried tofu + vegetables in a level 9 sauce. The cup was surprisingly good for the fare, and the ingredients were fresh. My poorly review focuses more on the establishment and the uncleanliness. I read other reviews before arriving and I hoped my experience would be different but it was not. The counters were dirty. The vegetables were dried up in the pan, the noodles pan which was emptied showed dried noodles stuck to it. When you are standing at the cash register and you look back into the kitchen area, you could see a filled mop bucket by the prep table. Ewww. One of the server, served with only one glove on. Sauce spilled on the side of my bowl and he used the same rag he just used to wipe the counter off with to wipe the side of my bowl with. I had to tell him stopped because that is so unsanitary and plain disgusting. The place was overall dirty. I spent about $13 on a bowl. I only took a couple of bites into it before throwing up. TBH I was pretty disappointed with CupBop. I originally came here because the photos on yelp make the food look good but the chicken just was not it. When you get in the restaurant, it's an assembly line order (like Subway/Chipotle) where you pick what you want in your bowl. My bowl came with chicken, rice, noodles and vegetables. The noodles and veggies weren't bad but the chicken just wasn't yummy. Little bummed. There's a bunch of tables and chairs to enjoy your meal at inside the restaurant. My son and I were in the area and wanted to grab something quick. This is newer in Westgate and was not busy. We ordered a combo bop with Korean style fried chicken and bbq chicken and also an ugly bop which is just the Korean style fried chicken. We got a level 4 and a level 5 spicy. They come with rice, cabbage and sauce and are priced well. The fried chicken was crispy and had a sweet and hot flavor. We loved it. I didn't get the rice but it's just a plain white rice. The cabbage adds an extra crunch and I'll get extra of that next time. They also come with sweet potato noodles which were divine! Overall a great spot to get great fast Korean meal and we will be back! read more

Be VERY careful eating here. Today I watched a younger white girl working the front register grab a new bowl of hot rice with a dirty towel (presumably to protect her hands from heat), she then emptied the old rice onto the new rice. Then she put the towel on the dirty counter, then PLACED THE DIRTY TOWEL ON TOP OF THE NEW RICE to grab it from the top and place it into the warmer. The dirty towel had rice sticking to it from it touching the new rice. She looked at it, shrugged, then walked to the back. Service was slow, the three young women working the front did care about sanitary practices, and the food was OK. Not worth the wait unless you're willing to risk food poisoning from where ever that towel has been. I'm really surprised she didn't wipe her face with that towel then continue on. read more

After seeing this all over social media, I had to see what the hype was all about. First impression when I walked into this location - dirty. There were a few customers eating by the windows but also a bunch of empty tables with food scraps and drink cups just laying around. No one was behind the cashier or food prep area. I think the GM was sitting at one of the empty tables and shouted some sort of greeting before a lady comes out from the back. I went with the two protein combo and asked what options I had. The lady explained it came with rice, noodles, cabbage, and my choice of bulgogi, spicy pork, or chicken - none of it looked appetizing. The bulgogi (beef) and chicken was sitting in some sort of water or broth and the spicy pork looked like ground pork. I went for the bulgogi and boiled chicken with noodles and veggies. For the price point, it was decent. But I expected the meat to be actually Korean BBQ and not just boiled meat. A friend of mine joined me after I had finished eating and he had the option to choose the fried chicken nuggets as a protein option. I wasn't given that option when I ordered mine. The fried chicken is actually pretty tasty so I might have to try that next time. We were sitting there for a good 30/40 minutes and our table was just filthy. There were about 5 employees behind the cashier at this point with no line and the staff didn't bother coming around to clean our table or any of the other unoccupied tables. If you're looking for a quick bite, definitely try it but. But this is far from Korean BBQ in a cup. read more

Cupbop meals are served in a paper bowl and lid so that you could mix your meal up. All meals come with rice, cabbage, and noodles at the bottom of the bowl with your choice of meat or veggies and choice of hot sauce. There are additional rice or meat extras you could add. And to make your Cupbop a meal, you could upgrade to fried potstickers and a drink. Besides soda, they have ice teas (although only water came out ) or bottles Korean drinks. I didn't really like the Cupbop Sauce because it had too much of a mayo flavored cream mixed in with a hot sauce. The restaurant doors were open so it was a bit drafty and our napkins almost flew off the table. Lots of seating options at tables, islands tables or outside tables. The floors inside the small restaurant weren't clean. Looked dirty and sticky. The drink machine should be fixed so that raspberry ice tea came out instead of water. read more
