We came for lunch on a Tuesday at around noon. The restaurant was not very crowded. Our server was friendly and helpful. We ordered sushi for an appetizer. It took quite some time to get it and I was sure that I would complain about that. But the sushi was so darn good that I cannot say a bad word !!! Best sushi I have had in quite some time. Our entrees were also perfectly cooked and delicious. Hubby got the lunch portion of sesame chicken and still had plenty left to bring home for later. I had a salad with grilled chicken. I believe it was the crispy mandarin salad. I'm sure the dressing had tons of calories but it was very good for an occasional splurge. Give them a try if you have never been. PF Changs for lunch on a weekday is a good option when you want to beat the crowds of this popular restaurant which serves Asian cuisine. My daughter and I opted to dine here to fuel up before shopping at Crabtree mall. Although we have dined here before, it had been awhile since we actually sat inside as we have been getting takeout only from here due to crowds, lines and the pandemic. We immediately noticed their latest rating was a 92 , so that raised some flags. We were taken to a private room in the back to be seated. The chair was not clean and the music in that private room was quite loud for the afternoon. We asked to change seats to a booth by the window which was much brighter. I understand they didn't want to swamp one server's area but was happy they accomadayed our request. Ordering was easy as we were familiar with the menu. The food was good and they waus seem to be consistent. However when it came to our drinks we noticed an ingredient of mint was missing. I felt like the overall customer service was lacking and the cleanliness of the restaurant could be improved. However , I still enjoy their food and probably would return to getting take out only from this location. read more

Great food and even better customer service tonight! I placed an order through Doordash for 5 dishes and unfortunately the delivery driver picked the food up from the restaurant but decided not to deliver it, yet marked it as delivered in the app. I called the restaurant to see if it was actually picked up and spoke with the manager on duty. He confirmed the order had been picked up and immediately apologized for it not arriving, even though the restaurant had done their job of handing off the bag, and Doordash was responsible for it not being delivered. The manager immediately offered to remake the food and deliver it himself, and even added a piece of complimentary cake and had the food delivered within 20 minutes (we live 10+ minutes away from the restaurant). I was blown away by his generosity! Very impressed and will be reordering soon! And the food was delicious!! read more

I made reservations for my daughter and I to eat here tonight at 7:15p. Checked in and went to the mall to buy her a pair of shoes around 6:15p. The host stated that it would be around 7:15 that we would get the text because they were a little busy...no problem. She said all we had to do was respond saying that we were in the mall and would be heading over. We received the first text at 6:57p. I responded with what she told me to say. I received the next text at 7p, saying that they would hold my table for 2 minutes or I would be skipped. I responded again but was afraid that we'd miss our reservation so my 10yr old and I took off running in the mall to avoid getting skipped. Get to the host station and get seated. When our reservation wasn't until another 15 minutes. --Now to the food as if that wasn't already enough. We order 3 spring rolls, a kids plain lo mein w/ double fruit, Mongolian Beef w/ fried rice and a Sapporo beer. The food comes and we don't have silverware to eat with - this is after waiting for about 25 minutes (not horrible) BUT the food was not even hot. My daughter was starving so she went ahead and ate. I tried my best to deal with it but I couldn't. No refills of drinks, the amount of fruit they gave my daughter as a double was about a tablespoon worth, my waitress was totally MIA...so I caved and asked a busser for the manager. He comes and tried to make it better by offering to bring more spring rolls I declined because they weren't that great to begin with. He comp'd mine and my daughters food and gave me my receipt. I clearly told him (politely may I add) that I was unhappy with the service that I had received but since we attempted to eat the spring rolls, I'd pay for them...BUT...I see on the check that I was still charged for the Sapporo. My friend and I use to get take out from here all the time. The food has always been great! Our orders have always been accurate as well. My go to was the Broccoli and Steak and the dumplings which have all been delicious every time! The only issue we have noticed lately is the increase in their prices which has gotten a little out of hand. I'm somewhat conflicted about how to rate this P.F.Changs. We've dined here a total of 5 times in the past 6 months. Four of those five were great. One was not good at all, neither service nor food was worthy of 3 stars. This last time was another negative experience although entirely the fault of the front end and not the kitchen. The kitchen was on point, food was delicious, fresh and hot. We had a 5:30 reservation for four. The issues began with the 19-22 year old female African American hostess that checked us in. She was having trouble finding our OpenTable reservation so I offered to show her the email confirmation to facilitate locating the reservation. This clearly annoyed her based on clear facial ques. We finished at the mall earlier than expected and arrived 30 minutes ahead of our scheduled reservation so when the hostess said it would be closer to the appointed time, it was expected. While we waited several groups came in without reservations. Another female hostess 20-24 years old with long hair told them that without reservations, it could be up to a 45 minute wait since they prioritize reservations first. At about 20 minutes in, I went back to the hostess counter and spoke with another female employee, 19-22 with short dark hair just to confirm we were still in queue because I didn't get the customary text. She said I was so I just discounted the missing text to a system issue. At 35 minutes in, I saw a party of four get seated that came in without a reservation. This is when I went back to the hostess counter and the hostess with the long hair looked it up, then told me I was never checked in. I then looked at the one with short hair that had told me I was in queue and asked her why she told me I was. Thats when the hostess with long hair showed the other hostess where she failed to look. At this point I asked for a manager. He came over along with the initial hostess that checked us in. The managers name was David and he was as dismissive of his employee shortcomings as the employees themselves. He just said we'd be seated when the next table came up. Wow. He said it like he was doing me a favor. Throwing me a bone. He sat us at a table with the worlds friendliest server. He had the personality of a private school headmaster. He came over, stated the restaurant was busy and he'd be back to take our orders. Some 15 minutes later he returns to take drink orders and had the tone suggesting that since he gave us 15 minutes, we should be ready to bark out our order in under 10 seconds. Zero personality with this guy. His name is Greg. I kept my interactions to a minimum. Didn't want to risk any wrath. Luckily the food was superb. I left a 20% tip only so they couldn't diminish my grievance as that of coming from someone that is "cheap". I called the following day and spoke with a managing partner. Dispensation was offered but refused. It wasn't the basis for my contacting them. We'll be back again and hope that this one incidence was an outlier. read more

Having come to Arlington, VA for one night from Massachusetts, and having eaten at PF Chang's in Sherwood Oaks, CA many years ago, we were so disappointed in this restaurant's quality of food, taste, and zero charm with the front desk employee. We ordered lettuce wraps, spring roll, crab wontons and chicken pad Thai. All the lettuce cups were stuck together, and some of the tips were brown. The filling was good, though. The spring rolls tasted funny. We could not identify what ingredient gave off such a sour taste - it tasted like somethin "went bad." Crab wontons were just okay. They weren't crispy fresh; they were crispy stale. Lastly, the chicken pad Thai. Pretty good flavor and texture. We'll eat the leftovers on this dish. Needless to say, we would not return to this restaurant had we been guests inside. We were take-out customers. I cannot say anything good about this place. On May 1st I went to P.F. Chang's at Crabtree Mall in Raleigh, NC. I was promptly seated. A waitress can right to my table to ask what I wanted to drink. I placed my order for a strawberry margarita and also gave her my food order. My drink came right out. I must saw once I tasted it I was taken away. This was the best strawberry margarita I had ever had!!! Next my Beef and Broccoli came out. I tasted it and it was exceptional as usual!! My waitress was Corel. This place is always packed because the food is that good! We stopped in during a weekday lunch so we managed to get a table in the back. She ordered the lunch bowl of honey shrimp with fried rice and I had the lunch bowl of honey chicken with brown rice. Both were excellent and piping hot! We also ordered the seasonal Peking duck with pancakes. It was fantastic! It comes with the duck cut into small pieces, the shredded greens, pancakes, and hoisin sauce so you can make yourself a little sandwich. It was enough to make a 6-7 of them so it's worth the price tag. I ordered the ginger beer (nonalcoholic) that they make at the bar which is refreshing and perfect for a weekday. Social distancing was in effect so there was no one at the table next to us on one side and many feet to the next booth with people on the other side of us. Another solid three star experience here. Food is good, lettuce wraps are so delicious! I liked my beef and broccoli and hubby liked his lobster rolls. Biggest drawback is the noise, having to wait despite a reservation (first experience here), and tables being WAY too close to each other. If you are looking for a quiet, romantic meal, don't eat here. We were literally so close to the table next to us that not only were we forced to hear their conversation but they heard ours as well. My mom and I went during Happy Hour last week. This location is at Crabtree Valley Mall, but does not have an entrance in the actual mall itself. The parking right in front of the restaurant is limited and honestly a little difficult to get to depending on the time of day since traffic can be really congested in that area. It may be best to park near Belk and just come up through the mall if things are congested near that light closest to PF Chang's. PF Chang's is not your local family run Chinese restaurant, but the food is really good. My mother ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken with brown rice. It was tasty, fresh and flavorful. My mother is a fan of fried rice, but the entrees come with a choice of white or brown rice and fried rice is an up-charge (around $5 more). I chose to order the chicken lettuce wraps since they're only $6 during Happy Hour and is a pretty large appetizer. It was delicious! I love the chicken lettuce wraps here and it was the perfect size to have as my meal for the evening. Others may want more, but the portion is meant for sharing so you get plenty. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because some of the Happy Hour menu options weren't really deals in my opinion. For instance, the Egg Rolls on the Dim Sum menu are 2 for $5 during Happy Hour, but the regular price for the same amount are $5.50. That's not the specific location's fault, but I felt it was necessary to share. The service was good and the food was good so I would definitely recommend, especially if you need a break from the mall during a day of shopping. read more

We were in search of a nice place for lunch this afternoon. Most of the local eateries are only serving dinner these days due to COVID, so we opted for P.F. Chang's. We started with an order of edamame and a cup of hot and sour soup. The soup's broth was nice and thick, loaded with tofu, mushrooms, and chicken. It was a nice balance of the hot and sour flavors. We ordered the salt and pepper prawns, as it is one of our favorites. It seems they have changed the dish since we last visited. Not much of a salt and pepper taste, and they no longer throw in fermented black beans, which gave the dish a little bite. That being said, the prawns were big and tender with a delicious crispy batter, tossed with red chili peppers and shredded scallions.
