Had P.F. Changs for the very first time last night and everything was so incredible!! Started with wonton soup and crispy green beans. The wonton soup was the best I've ever had! The green beans were yummy and the dipping sauce was really tasty.The only complaint I had was that the green beans were still a little too crunchy and could've been cooked more but luckily I don't personally mind that too much. Then we ordered Mongolian beef, Buddha's delight (minus the tofu), and crispy honey shrimp with fried rice and lo mein. No complaints about those except for the green beans again but the flavors were on point. Service was friendly but a tad slow and some items were forgotten but I would definitely return and definitely recommend!! read more

Been to different PF Chang's locations plenty of times but this one was awful. We waited almost a half hour for our apps and another half hour for the entrees. The sushi rice was hard and not fully cooked and the amount of fish in the roll was pathetic. Our waiter was MIA most of the time and didn't bring us clean plates or water and was very slow to refill our drinks. Im never coming back to this location. Extremely frustrating experience. I normally frequent the P.F. Chang's at Riverside Square Mall in Hackensack, however I was closer to this location today and stopped in for lunch. My mom and I both got the Mongolian beef lunch bowl. We also ordered the string bean market side, as well as pork dumplings and chicken fried rice (only because I had a free coupon for this). We both got a soda. Mine was flat and syrupy but I wasn't too concerned. First we get our dumplings. They were delicious as always. Next came our Mongolian beef bowls and string beans. The Mongolian beef was disappointing and the meat was tough and chewy. The string beans tasted nothing like the ones we normally always get at other locations and they were cold. The chicken fried rice was underwhelming and the chicken had a weird texture. The chicken fried rice wound up not even being free because we had to purchase an entree and the lunch bowls apparently did not count. I wish we would have known this prior to us ordering it because I wouldn't have ordered it at all. Our waiter failed to mention this to us until it wouldn't come off the bill. Not the absolute best Chinese food you'll eat, but it's a comfortable environment, the servers are friendly and knowledgeable, and they are considerate as to dietary restrictions--in particular gluten-free needs. Unfortunately, while that extended to the appetizers and main dishes it did NOT apply to the desserts. Bummer to drop the ball just short of the goal line. They did not have our reservation. They asked me if it was a call or online. When informed that it had been done online, we were told that was done via separate computer system. Not sure how they keep that organized... There is a vast selection of fun cocktails, sake, beer, etc. The menu is mainly Chinese food, with some Sushi thrown in as well as a smattering of other Asian dishes. All the food was good, though nothing was exceptional. It's chain Chinese food. It's what I'd expect it to be. It's a good place to throw into the rotation with friends or family--especially if you're already shopping at the mall, or if you're celiac and want to get some gluten-free Chinese fix on. I never EVER leave bad reviews- or yelps for that matter. This experience was the reason I even created an account. I had read how low the reviews were for this place and decided "hey why not" because I like to decide for myself. I should have just saved myself the aggravation. I had never been to P.F. Chang's and wanted to try it out. I walked in and was sat by the host near the kitchen and began to look through the menu. It was taking a bit long for the waiter to approach us, but being a waiter myself, I understood he might have been weeded and gave him some time. After a good 5 minutes we had already decided drinks appetizers and dinner and no waiter was in sight. Someone quickly patted our table and said he'd be with us soon. After ten minutes of being forgotten, my husband and I decided to go to the bar for quicker service. The bartender was very nice. She attended to us rang our order in promptly. A tray of food soon appeared, but it was our dinner, not our appetizer. Not a big deal, except my dinner had been missing its main ingredient and the rice had come out cold. Now I was extremely annoyed. The manager came out with our appetizer well after our dinner had arrived and I had to notify her that my dinner was missing the entire reason I ordered it in the first place. She apologized again and took it back to the kitchen as my rice grew colder. Finally, it came back, looking like they slapped some haphazard extra ingredients onto the same plate. I couldn't even eat it I was so upset - and I'm never one to anger quickly. I didn't want to eat I just wanted to go home. But no one was around to speak to or even to get the check. Once again, having worked in various aspects of service & hospitality, I had never seen so much disregard for the guest experience. There was no accountability, structure or high management controlling the guest experience. I would have never allowed this blatant disregard for service in any other restaurant. I left feeling cheated of $50 and 1 hour of my life I'll never get back. For a newly opened restaurant in a more affluent area, the standards are low and slipping quickly. was honestly really disappointed with this place. The only reason i'm giving it 2 stars is because the food was still good. ordered for mother's day dinner and went through way too much to get the food. I originally called and asked if they could remove chicken from one of the menu items and they agreed. I called again and they said they could not do it, which was fine but they should not have changed their answer, especially because when i called i was put on a wait for around 30 minutes for each call. I ordered for a pick up at 7:30 and my food was not ready until 8:15. This was extremely inconvenient because i was fasting and I could not even break my fast on time. Staff was nice and I could tell that they were doing the best that they could. They need to either organize their orders better, take less orders, or hire more staff. Chang's makes their food from scratch every time you order, that's pretty impressive when oat restaurants microwave most if not all foods being served. With that said traditional Asian drinks and dishes are offered at much higher quality and freshness than your typical Chinese corner or hood restaurant I mean shame on you if that's what you were expecting. Went to this location. Service was extremely slow, even with the place being empty. Poured a liquid onto a hot dish and the liquid splashed all over my arm and shirt. The food was burnt to the dish. Spoke with the manager about the incident and all he would say was that it was how the dumplings were served. He didn't care in the least that my shirt was ruined, I had been splashed with hot liquid, or that the food was inedible. He let us leave with no apology and didn't care that we were leaving unhappy. There was over an hour wait for 3 people. While waiting there were multiple tables open not getting cleaned timely holding up the wait. The hostess seemed overwhelmed and a bit short. The person who seated us was the nicest person the entire evening. We were then ignored and no one came to us until we had to pull someone aside to find out who our waitress/waiter was. (It was a good 20-25 mins plus) waitress was nice but not attentive. All of our food apts and main dishes came all together after another 25 plus mins. They forgot one of our sides of rice we were told they would go grab it for us- it never came. We had to check in's really with the waitress and ate most of our meals without drinks. Asked for refills and our check took forever for that to come back and then we were charged for a lava cake and cheesecakes which we didn't order. Very disappointed by our experience here. We were looking forward to this PF Chang's opening in an another area we frequent the Hackensack location. Don't know if we will be back it was more of a hassle then enjoyable. It was a disappointing experience. My son has been asking to go here since it opened, so we finally went on. Wednesday night. Ambiance is nice and we loved sitting by the glass wall to the kitchen. Our server was excellent, very friendly and attentive. However the food was not great. The first order of chicken fried rice was truly terrible, over cooked and I think left out too long. Same with my son's honey chicken, the first time it looked like a couple of chicken nuggets, no sauce or anything. But the manager was very quick to fix this and came out and apologized, and a fresh batch came very soon. The new batch was fine. My son liked it. I just thought it wasn't very flavorful. I called the restaurant and make a reservation and we were promptly seated however we probably had one of the worst Waiters in this place. I went to P.F. Chang's near LEGO Land in PA a few months ago and they were excellent!! The food, the service, even the restaurant itself was beautiful!! BEWARE OF THE WILLOWBROOK LOCATION - THEY ARE SUPER RUDE Unfortunately the one in Wayne is terrible! For starters, we just popped in (against our better judgement) and when we got to the hostess station, the hostess was chatting with a server. We stood there right in front of her and she completely ignored us. I asked, "can we seat ourselves?" She answered "No" without making any kind of eye contact and worse, she just kept talking to the server while we stood there. After several minutes of clearly being intentionally ignored we decided this place just isn't worth the wait. I mean, how rude. Her sole purpose as a hostess is to acknowledge the customers when they come in. Ugh... doesn't management care at all?!?!?! AND this is not the first time. Been here a handful of times always hoping for a better experience but nope. Seems to get worse every time. We once ordered take out and had it delivered. Paid full price ($80+) for 1/2 the servings!! The food was ok but it is terrible that they charge so much for smaller portions. (You get much more for same price when u eat there) We should have learned our lesson the first time. We will NEVER return to this place and are seriously considering never eating at a P.F. I Love PF Changs but our bday visit was an absolute disaster. First off - they sit out bday celebration table in front of the restrooms when 2 other booth 4tops were available. Made them switch seats which seemed like a big ordeal. I do have to say cocktails and food were great. But service SUCKED and food took FOREVER to come out. Like 2 hours for our entrees. And then it took 30 min to get the right check after they gave us wrong check and had to refund charge. Management seems aloof and not professional. Entire place needs staff over hall. read more

Our waters were empty pretty much the whole time until I could flag down our waitress to fill them which is unfortunate because the food is terribly salty. My past experience at a couple of PF Changs in CA was excellent, so I anxiously awaited to dine at the new one here in Rockaway, NJ. First negative is that it is very busy on weekends, We had to make a reservation for 4:15 on a Saturday. When we got in, the music was loud and annoying, as was the mall crowd noise, as the facility is open. Regarding the service, that was excellent, but the prices of the meals...a bit high for the amount and quality, which wasn't bad, but wasn't great. We ordered two appertizers, they are Rick's northern-style spare ribs and Mac and cheese. the ribs are braised with Chinese spices and taste sweet, very authentic Shanghai style I think. For Mac and cheese, It used a cute shaped rice cake which I never seen before, the cheese sauce is mixed with shiitake flavor, with toasted breadcrumbs on the top, chewy and crunch idea. my entree is their unlisted dish---- Dan dan noodle, my friend recommends this to me, It is actually not dan dan noodle, it is more like Zha jiang noodle, I guess it named Dan dan because it is also using minced pork and it is spicy (Dont worry, very mild spicy), but it tastes like Zhajiang because the flavor. I like the dish but the noodle itself is overcooked, too soggy. Xiaoxiao ordered Chang' spicy chicken, It is sweet sour and mild spicy (Thai sweet spicy chili paste), I also like this one, tastes similar to Chinese dish Guo Bao Rou. but the rice is not good, really not, they should work more on the rice. I'm so surprised at all the negative reviews after my experience there on Saturday. I had such a great time and the food was delicious! I called ahead to reserve a table and when we got there we were seated 5 minutes after our arrival. The waiter was nice and attentive and our food arrived in a good time and still hot.
