This is just my opinion... I love hatch chilis, I wait for the season every year. I can sit outside of HEB when the are roasting them in the spindle and soak up the smell. My order today of the "Limited Time" hatch burger was crap. I say that because your employees are once again adding to much "salt love" to the burger so you can't taste anything else, including any hatch peppers. Visited this P. Terry's today and was very disappointed. Food was not of a quality I recalled and the service was less than desirable. There were 4 of us and we were putting two small tables together because the only 4 table was being used. The lady who was working that part of the restaurant started yelling at us for moving the tables. She came outside and insisted we take the 4 table and not the ones we had moved together. Got here at 4:45 PM, only one car ahead of me. Quick to order, quick to make. Workers proactively avoided contact due to ongoing pandemic. Tried out P Terry's new spicy chicken sandwich with cheese. Tastes like a premium McChicken with a real chicken taste. Patty is thin compared to Chik-fil-A so the bite of chicken isn't as satisfying but this is crunchier and the condiments complete it. Flavor of the cheese was overwhelmed, maybe add more. Recommending a try. Also got the fries, they always make great thin crispy fries. Really good. The standard order of fries should be shared based on portion size, I ate it all with my sandwich and got too full. I did say yes to ketchup and they didn't give me any though. The burgers and fries at this location were on par, flavor wise, with all the other P. Terry's across Austin. The service at this particular location was horrible though. We arrived approximately 2 hours prior to advertised closing time. The drive thru was very busy, but no one was eating outside. The weather was decent so we went up to the window to order. No workers were present, so we rang the bell for service. Approximately 30 seconds later a young man appeared and took our order. He was not rude, but was not courteous either. A short while later our order # was called. A different young man with a scowl on his face handed me a bag with no napkins and no ketchup. I politely got his attention and asked for both. He looked extremely unenthusiastic and plopped down a few napkins and four packets of ketchup on the counter. While we ate, several other customers spoke amongst themselves about him and how rude he was. He plopped one customers drink down real hard on the counter and rolled his eyes. They also have lettuce buns (as seen in picture) which I like the option of the lettuce but but this is the second time that my burger has been over powered by too much lettuce. Looking for a cheap but good burger on my way home from Austin. Had seen these around town and decided to give it a try. The first one south of downtown was packed- no place to park and I didnt want to eat in the car. Went to this location and they had a few tables outside. Not a lot of parking, but enough for us to get in. LOVED the burgers and fries here. Absolutely delicious. I would go back in a heartbeat. They have a pretty cool concept, which is strikingly similar to the west coast's In N Out but they don't necessarily hit the proverbial nail on the head. The menu is quite simple, consisting of burgers and fries etc. Ordered a double cheeseburger and was somewhat disappointed by the size and taste. I mean, it was by no means bad, it just wouldn't be something that I'd particularly go out of my way for. The latest P. Terry's location on E. Oltorf Street brings another late-night burger stand to the area. Primarily meant as a drive thru, there are only a few tables for eating onsite. Burgers and fries are cheap yet offer a level of quality not found in most fast food burger restaurants. Be careful exiting directly onto Oltorf, especially if you're trying to head eastward. It's probably easier to go over to Parker Lane and use the traffic light at the intersection. read more

PSA: There is no dine-in. There's a drive thru and outside seating. I believe some places do have a dine-in area, but we went to two separate P Terry's and they both only had outdoor seating. First off, the price can't be beat. It's about $3 per burger (depending on what you get), and $1.90 for fries. The onions and pickles aren't automatically included unless you specifically ask for it (at no extra cost). The quality, however, matches the price. I ordered the hamburger with a side of fries. There wasn't enough of their special sauce in the burger, which made it bland. They accidentally forgot to add the tomato into my burger, which was disappointing, but I understand mistakes happen. The fries weren't too spectacular either - also bland. I felt myself having to use ketchup for both my fries and burgers to make up for the lack of flavor and typically, I don't use ketchup for my fast food. Tonight sealed the deal when I rang the bell and waited for five minutes before some guy with a mustache appeared and opened the window and just stared at me. Just went to this location to order a veggie burger and a peppermint shake. The peppermint shake was appropriately minty and had just the right level of thickness that I always hope for from PT. The burger, however, was given without a veggie pattie, and so I had to drive back after discovering this at home. The burger was replaced after waiting in line for way-too-long once again. P. Terry's should have a system in place to mend mistakes in orders without having to sit in line all over again, though I realize the difficulty in implementing such a thing. UPDATE: Received a couple gift cards in the mail after the incident described above. This is such an excellent customer service response, that I have decided to boost the score of this P. I came to this location because it was close to the Prometric testing site. I'm not local to Austin and decided to try P. Terry's on a recommendation from a coworker months ago. I'll say I was pleasantly surprised. The burger itself is simple but the ingredients were fresh.
