This location hasn't missed anytime I've gone. Their service is quick and friendly. The place is clean with a lot of seating. Just look at the burger I ate! What more can you want? The beef is juicy. The egg and bacon are cooked right. It looks like a burger on a commercial or cartoon that looks impossibly tall. Well guess what? It consistently looks like that and tastes great. I'm surprised it doesn't automatically come with pickles, but they'll add them without an upcharge. I'm sure I'll see y'all again in a couple weeks!

The service, vibe, cleanliness, drinks and burgers were fantastic. Love the variety of burger options and their seasonal options. I came in to try their Hoppy Meal and was pleasantly surprised by their double smash burger, but highly underwhelmed by their fries. The fries were lukewarm, kinda stale and tasted like they made them hours prior.

Nice selection of tasty burgers. The Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich and the Parmesan Truffle fries were overall quite good and filling. The sandwich was very saucy though. The thinner shoestring fries (compared to normal fast food chain ones) allowed for more efficient eating haha

Overall had a wonderful experience here. I was greeted and served by Alan and I've just gotta say that he was so welcoming and personable; in general it seems like the whole team here is being treated well and it shows through how they are carrying themselves while working here. This might be a controversial statement... but if a place does tossed buffalo tenders I'll go there a million times over even some of the best buffalo wing spots, and this place met and even exceeded that expectation. They give you like 6 thoroughly breaded and sauced tenders for just $11 and the buffalo sauce is just the perfect amount of tangy and spicy... just wow. My wife also loved her burger and the fries were great as well, but what will keep me coming back are those buffalo tenders... sheesh.

We stopped in here for lunch. Burger was amazing, So good I forgot to take a pic. Their gluten free bun is edible. Those gluten free folks will understand. The fries were yummy Parmesan truffle and shareable. My friend also ordered a shake. Great place for burgers, fries and a shake.

We visited this spot while at a coaches convention in the area. For cocktails, we ordered the Pink Man (tequila based) 7/10 and the Texas Sling (vodka based) 8/10. For food: We ordered the Loaded Nacho fries (7/10), Farmhouse deluxe 10/10 (no crispy onions), crispy chicken bacon ranch 8/10 ( no crispy onions and no cheese). All of the food was fresh and cooked to order. The only thing I'd suggest is seasoning.... However, it was nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix! Giovanni was an EXCELLENT server (10/10) and His recommendations were all on point! He knew that we were visiting the area and made our visit worthwhile!

I went to dinner with two of my friends on a Wednesday night around 5:30 PM. When we entered the restaurant had a steady amount of people, but we were able to get a table right away. Around 6 PM, the line went out the front door, I would assume the after-work crowd? Ambiance: This particular Hopdoddy is found at the center of a very developed area so it still has its newer-feel. Like other Hopdoddy's, it has its bar at the center of the restaurant and mostly booths with some high top tables in the mix. Service: You order your food at the register and then are given a table #--there are employees who bring your food and anything else you'll order, but I wouldn't call them "servers/waiters." Everyone was really nice and professional while we were there. Food: I've been going to Hopdoddy since 2010 and for the most part have enjoyed the food. In this visit I ordered a "limited time" burger called "The Roosevelt Burger"--grass-fed bison with goat cheese and fig jam. It wasn't my favorite, I typically don't mind sweet, but there was just too much sweetness for me in this particular burger. I shared a bowl of Truffle Fries with my burger as well. They were crisp and the truffle aioli is always delicious. I can't get over the fact that they do not serve "Maine Root" brand sodas anymore!! So sad that they're not at most of the locations in the Austin area. Overall, everything was just "okay," nothing special--feels like Hopdoddy is losing its quality and uniqueness in my opinion. Maybe I'll be back, or maybe I'll find a better burger elsewhere.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of their burgers as I always thought of Hopdoddy as being more of a bar. The service was great here and everyone was friendly. I tried out the Rise N' Shine Burger and it was pretty damn good! The burger was cooked perfectly and everything on it meshed well. From the bacon, to the potato strips, fried egg and the maple aioli and the maple bacon dusted bun it was very delicious. Of course the ice cold draft beer always hits the spot!

It was sort of confusing as it looked like sit down but the servers were crowding the order station. They also assign a seat when you order which is a first. Plenty of bar and outdoor seating. I prefer chicken and definitely liked the portion. It had an avocado sauce which was a nice kick. I didn't want regular fries, tried something different from sweet fries too and got truffle fries which was a huge portion to share for even 3-4 people. I was going to have a water but the shakes looked too good to pass up. It was delicious. The price was high for just one but portions were great for a fast casual spot.

This Hopdoddy location is awesome! It's never packed during lunch and the service is always great! Hopdoddy in general is a great burger restaurant in the Austin area. This location is also up to date with 21st century compared to their south Congress location. They have TV screens for menus. Ordering fries here even though they are super skinny. They feed 2-5 five people. But I can understand why they are small fries because they don't want you to get full too fast. They want you to enjoy their great tasting burgers. Parking is public paid parking or one of the near by garages for free.

Cold fries. For $3.75, very unimpressive.

I hadn't been to Hopdoddy in quite some time and visited the East Austin (5th St) location on a recent Friday evening. My daughter and I placed our orders and were directed to a corner booth. Our small order of fries arrived well ahead of our burgers. The fries were cold, so we probably should have sent them back but hunger won out. The burgers were great, although they were a little less done in the middle than as described. I had the Llano Poblano, and my daughter had a classic with added bacon. Hopdoddy delivers a quality burger product at a premium price. To my way of thinking, the price is rather high for the amount of food... both burgers and fries. I wasn't particularly impressed.

10/10 I always have a great experience! Their burgers taste fresh and delicious every single time. The staff is always friendly and helpful which makes such a difference. My kids love the grilled cheese and my husband loves the doddy melt. My favorite is the Kale Caesar Salad with Ahi Tuna. I've been to a few of their locations and the experience is always the same which is why my and my family will always come back. Margs are 10/10 too! :)

Classic burger with bacon and cheese, sub pickles for the onions. Small fries.

This is one of the best burgers I've ever had. I just ordered a classic with cheese and bacon, subbed in pickles for the onions. It was juicy and cooked perfectly. I also ordered a small hand cut fries with it and the meal was the perfect amount. I wish they had a hopdoddy's where I live. It will always be on my list for a meal when I visit Austin.

Please note that Sa-Tén is in an industrial-style complex and can be easily missed. The anchor point is a large green Canopy sign. After circling a few times, my friend and I started to meet at Stargazer instead for coffee. After having coffee at Stargazer, we decided to grab breakfast "to-go" at Sa-Tén as my Art contest start time was nearing. It is literally diagonally across the street from Stargazer. Sa-Tén means "coffee lounge" or "café" in Japanese. It traditionally refers to a relaxed neighborhood coffee shop...a place meant to be a welcoming community space. The coffee shop is small with wraparound glass windows emitting an abundance of light. Sa-Tén's interior is unassuming...really non-distinct. My friend ordered the last salmon toast, however, since she had previously tried it, she allowed me to have the last one. Such a thoughtful and kind friend...she ordered the bacon, egg and cheese toast instead. Let me just say this salmon toast was the bomb diggity. Our server described this breakfast item as salmon on white toast...what a major understatement! Our toast was even larger than Texas toast with a brioche taste and perfectly toasted. Quite honestly, I could have just eaten the toast all by itself. The salmon and cheese enhanced the taste. What a spectacular discovery! My friend was pleased with her selection as well. I will seek out Sa Tén when I'm on the East Side again.

I came here also because I had a deal from the AACHI fundraiser they are doing this month. Ordered the Spicy Salmon toast and the Egg, Bacon, and Sausage toast. Both were amazing and had tons of flavor. The bread is soft and fluffy. I also got a plate with Chicken Kara-age. Not too bad, I personally would stick to the Katsu. The Chicken Kara-age was not as crispy as I would like it. Also got royal milk tea, which was lightly sweetened. This place does get packed, so if you like to try this place, avoid the right before noon crowd or go early morning or later in the afternoon. The restaurant itself is small, but they do have some outdoor tables as well. The hard part about sitting outside is if you order drinks, I don't know if you can hear your name being yelled out while you are outside, so I would suggest having someone inside to grab your drink if you order any or check inside after a while to see if your drinks are ready.

So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. I ordered the Peach Fuzzy drink. Not too sweet, refreshing, peachy, and beautiful garnish of a flower. I ordered the Yummy Fries which looked like a salad. Gorgeous presentation. Fries were actually waffle sweet potatoes. Pickled ginger, sesame seeds, furikake, aïoli and a few other wonderful ingredients. Could not get over how beautiful everything looked. Presentation outstanding. Service delightful. Had a wonderful time at Anthem. We both did use the ladies rooms before leaving. To begin, parking around here can be very difficult if you don't know where to look as there are multiple lots to choose from, although the seemingly nearest is always taken up by cars. There was no wait on a Saturday afternoon. Once you're in, Bambino's is a calm and friendly environment to grab a bite at, featuring simple (and different) slices and sandwiches. You feel pretty welcome and at home in a nice layout with many tables and a bar top right across. The menu is diverse but one thing that sticks out right off the bat is the price. $4.50 for a plain slice? $22 for a footlong sub? Not to mention they tack on an automatic 20% service charge to every bill, which to their credit was mentioned about 3-4 times by the waitress. By the end of eating a $5 pepperoni slice we somehow paid nearly $7. Was it worth it? No. The pizza is decent, nowhere near worth the cost though. The dough is a bit too doughy and the cheese and sauce are alright. The slice is bigger than an average one so we can appreciate that. The best part was the pepperoni mixing in some nice little zip into the mix. For what it's worth, Bambino's is not bad, by any means of that word. However, for what they charge out of a slice in Austin, Texas of all places, you'd expect it to pack a lot more of a punch. Maybe the other food justifies the price, but after spending damn near $7 for one, we think it'll be a while before we give it another shot.

While the pizza was good, and the atmosphere was alright, the service left us somewhat perturbed. We got the Uncle Frankie and the Tracksuit pizzas. My friend was searching for a pizza option with chicken as she cannot eat red meat, and she was unable to find one. They also have an automatic 20% gratuity that is not included in the prices. It looks like the business owner is very defensive about this, so I don't want to engage, but it is very strange. The server came to our table, took our orders, then he came back for our cards. We thought he was making us open a tab, even though we didn't get any drinks, but turns out that was actually the payment. Before this, I had never been charged before receiving my food at a sit-down restaurant where they come to you to take your order. We were quite baffled by this as it's something you would see in movies or in the news where servers do that to discriminate again others because they think they may leave without paying. We did not see this as a policy on the menu, so we were shocked.

During the game we shared the Fried Pickles, which were crispy and well breaded with good pickle chips, as well as their Green Chili Queso, which was also excellent. The chips had good seasoning and the queso was thick. For a main entrée, I ordered the patty melt. It was melty with good flavor, but I would have preferred chopped onions over sliced onions.
