GREAT ambiance, but food was incredibly mid. P6 has great vibes and is a fun place to get drinks, however, it just didn't live up to the hype. The view itself isn't as great as advertised, as the balcony overlooks the roof of the LINE hotel and doesn't have the view of the downtown skyline. The drinks were just OK, and the food just didn't taste as good as it looked. The menu options are extremely limited as well. If I came here again, I would come just to get drinks and get food elsewhere. read more

(If you are interested in sitting outdoors - we were told reservations book out 1 week in advance so make sure to plan accordingly) Even though the indoor space did not have the same ambience as outdoors it was still very nice and well decorated. Service was very friendly and efficient. For our brunch we decided to order: --PATATAS BRAVAS: Well fried with a great flavor. Definitely a great brunch item to order! My only complaint would be they didn't really give us many potatoes since the portion covered less than half of the bowl it came in. --FRITTATA: Ours was a veggie frittata that was filled with flavor and topped with a great tomato based purée. It did come with a giant handful of lightly coated romaine lettuce which seemed a bit mismatched. Additionally the portion of the frittata was slightly too small for the price. --PICKLED PEARL ONION HUMMUS: Really good portion of food. The hummus is just bursting in flavor. What a great time at P6! A group of us went for their NYE event. Food was delicious and lots of different options to choose from (the caviar and employee working that station was my favorite part!!). I used to love coming to P6 but the past two times I went here, the experience, food and service was not good. I made reservations both times for the patio, and one they made right next to the hostess table and one for inside, which to me, defeats the purpose of making reservations for outside. The ambiance and outdoor view is also 99% why people come to this place so I feel like they need to figure out a better system. The service was friendly, but they rarely checked in on you. We followed up and asked when we would get seated outdoor because they kept mentioning we were next on the list, and we continued to see spots open but they did not seat us. We eventually just got up to see the sunset which is what everyone else was doing and seated ourselves. The food here is not bad, but it is way overpriced. I usually only get mocktails and not food from here because I don't think it's worth. It's a little bland for Mediterranean. Horrible service! Not worth the view. We waited for at least 15 minutes before we were asked what we wanted. We ordered drinks and food. Then told we could not have drinks until we ate. We were not sure why? We had one drink at Rainey st walked to P6. So I guess 6 well educated older women can't laugh and take pictures without P6 management making accusations that we appeared intoxicated. P6 is a rooftop bar/restaurant at the LINE hotel. It has a great view overlooking the river and Congress Ave. The aesthetics and view make for great photo ops. My friends and I came here for brunch to cap off a bachelorette weekend. We were a party of 8 and the outdoor seating setup they had for us was very cramped. It was even harder once our food came out and we had to share space on one table. Some of us ended up having to eat with the plate on our laps. Their brunch menu was surprisingly limited. I ordered the pork belly hash which was pretty good and you get thick pieces of tender pork belly. Lastly, the service was a bit inconsistent. They might have been understaffed when we went but it took a while to get the attentions of the servers and some of our party was trying to leave early to catch a flight. P6 is beautiful for snacks and light drinks, but there was absolutely nothing I would return for (except the views). Each dish is shared with the table. For a table of 3 ladies, we ordered the Riviera Pastry Basket, Patatas Bravas, Spanikopita, the Seasonal Vegetable Frittata, and a pitcher of White Sangria. The Pastry Basket, Patatas, and the Frittata were incredibly dry and bland-- overcooked. I love a good crisp, white sangria, but this sangria tasted like water mixed with fruits... This is inside The Line Hotel. Walk in and take the pink elevators on the far left (opposite the taco joint). Go to level 6 and walk out onto the rooftop. P6 has great views of the Austin skyline and the lake. Make a reservation ahead of time if you want to be outside and if you aren't staying at the hotel. The drinks are pretty good (not the best cocktails we've had in Austin but good and worth the views). There is a lot of lounge type seating and lots of pink. I think the servers work communally (?) so you get checked on pretty frequently. "Beautiful view, terrible food. I came here hoping for a nice meal with a nice atmosphere, but while the scenery was stunning, The service at this restaurant was very disappointing. The views!!! I was looking for a place with a view for dinner for my family in celebration of my husband on Father's Day and this ended up being the perfect spot! It overlooks Lady Bird Lake and the bridge, which also makes this a great place to view the bats (although they didn't come out the night we were there). It's not the best place to bring littles (no kids menu), but thankfully there was plenty of room on the rooftop for my kids to stretch their legs without disruption. The service was ok, and the food options were limited, but good; the music, however, was jamming!! Cheers to that playlist of R&B hits that night! Stopped in for brunch while we were out here in Austin, TX. Got a few items to share amongst 7 girls. The menu is very limited so we just got the main items that were listed which included the Patatas Bravas, Babaganoush, Little Gem Caesar, and Pita-Quiles. The Pita-Quiles was quite spicy but the beef that was on it was really tender and good. I think the Patatas was spicy too and topped with a sauce that was interesting but delicious. The Babaganoush was good too, something vegan friendly for those were are watching what they eat. Great view of the Austin Lake and from what the waitress told us, you could see the bats fly around sunset from the building. Very cute but it was a little hot and humid sitting outside on the patio. This place could not have missed the mark anymore for me. Allow me to tell you my story. I had a rough day and saw on P6's Instagram that they were offering $1 cocktails if you show your I Voted cocktail. I decided to head over there after dinner because I could really use a cocktail. The signage in the lobby was poor, and I had no idea where I was supposed to go when I saw the unstaffed P6 table. Only one hotel staff was present at the front desk on a long call, so I waited far too long to find out I was suppose to take the right elevator to the 6th floor. That easily could have been put on a sign if they don't have staff to direct you. I went up and after a brief wait, I confirmed with the hostess if they were still running the $1 cocktail special. Yes... if I purchased an item of food. Pretty deceptive advertising. They're blaming it on Covid, but I had a $1 cocktail over at Still Whiskey without having to order a food item. The cheapest item on their menu was a $6 bar snack, which was apparently some pickles. I ended up getting a $10 salad which while tasty was basically four pieces of lettuce, some roasted beets, and a bit of dressing. Had they just said on the IG page that food was required, I would have come for dinner and spent more money. Instead I basically had an $11 cocktail with some fancy lettuce garnish. Even worse, the $1 cocktail wasn't even shaken by the bartender... it was clearly premade. Tasty, but not what I was looking for. I expressed my concern about the apparent bait-and-switch to the hostess and the server, expecting that they would relay to their manager to fix it for future customers. Nope! They were just like "that's our policy" with perhaps a throwaway apology. Got the bill and discovered a mandatory 18% gratuity plus a 3% Covid fee that doesn't even go to the staff. I've eaten all over town this year and have not seen a Covid fee, yet. Two dirty tricks from P6. Had management been more honest this could have been a much better review. After this experience, I have no intention to spend any more money at P6. Almost every other place I've been with a voting special I've discovered a new spot I'll be a customer at. This was a lovely venue sitting high above the Austin river or lake (depending on who you ask), with great ambiance and food. We caught them right at happy hour which made our day. The server was attent, personable, and just added to the fun. The platter of snacks went down in our group so well we ended up ordering more to extend our happy hour stay well beyond our plans. Only giving it a 3 because the food menu was limited, and a couple dishes we tried were just okay. Three ladies ordered the grilled chicken salad, one ordered the bacon and eggs, and I ordered the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was good, but nothing about it stood out. The tomato, squash, and cheese had some powerful flavors, but it was almost like a purée inside two thick slices of focaccia. The overall experience was a 10/10 will be telling all of my friends. P6 is absolutely beautiful and the staff was so friendly and attentive. Our waitress Cami recommended everything we got and she did not steer us wrong. We could not stop talking about good and fresh everything was. First visit to P6 and the ambiance/vibes were definitely something to speak of. We booked a "table" on the patio and all the seating is very laid back so for our space there were two cushioned benches and then a set of chairs for our party of 6. The patio is decorated in a cute, eclectic way and it overlooks the river. It makes for an environment that promotes socializing over eating, which is fun as long as that's what you're looking for! The service throughout our meal was good with the waitress asking about drink refills and orders in a timely manner. Overall I believe everyone enjoyed their cocktails and food! I tried two cocktails and liked both - the Hill Country Gold and the Summer Cobbler. Both were light and not overly sweet, which is just what I like. I ordered the chicken satay and fettuccine primavera while my husband and got the chicken Cesar salad. The food was really tasty in my opinion - not mind blowing, but when combined with a view of the river and good company it made for a great evening. Main complaint is how small the menu is - really only a dozen food items or so, so if you're with a picky crowd or need diversity in the menu this may not be the place to come. This place is the spot that sounds nice in theory but actually generally an unpleasant choice to spend a day at. The ambience is actually nice, especially for such a beautiful day I went. I had a reservation here on my birthday so I was excited to start my day off with some great views at a hotel I love. The place wasn't too popular by the time I got here, but the two of us were sat at a small high table by some hostess. Spoiler alert: the hostesses were somehow the best of the service the entire time we were there. However, for a birthday reservation, we somehow got a small, table that seemed to be focused more for drinks while the two parties next to us in the big couches were also parties of only two. There weren't any little celebrations or anything for a birthday, so I would say this place is more for catching up with friends over mimosas. A waitress brought us waters without pleasantries. No "hi", "how are you", anything. No response for the "thank you" or much of any acknowledgement. Not too odd, she wasn't our primary waitress in the first place. Our actual waitress came by to take our order. Ordered a lemonade, which became an awkward experience since I had to repeat myself thrice and she repeated it back in a question. But at the same time, I didn't want to assume English was everyone's first language. Unfortunately the pork belly hash on the brunch menu was sold out, which surprised me because it was only 1 PM during a Sunday brunch, so supply issues got in the way. As for the food, it was very cute and trendy and came out pretty fast, but looked better than it tasted. Salmon gravlax had a bread a bit too hard. Lemonade was a bit bland. Reuben was fine but nothing to write home about. Somehow the best things were the parfait and biscuits. Unfortunately our service was ridiculously slow. After a long time, I looked around to find her. The whole vibe of the place was "hey we are so laid back you might as well be in California" to the point where I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless all they usually have for breakfast is alcohol and they have no job or any responsibilities for the day. Asked the waitress for boxes and the bill, she brought the boxes but asked if we wanted the bill again, and answered our question that the hostess will validate the parking. We got to the front and she was there and validated our parking for us since the hostess went to seat another party. When the hostess that passed us thanked us for coming yet our waitress silently validated our ticket and didn't return any of our thank yous, it really solidified that the best service came from the hostesses, which is ridiculous in and of itself. P6 is a stunning rooftop bar in Downtown Austin right on the water! It has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Some are tables and others are lounge/couch style seats. It has a fabulous view of lady bird lake. You can also see the bats fly out from the congress bridge around sunset in June/July/August. It's a pretty cool sight. It's better to see it up close from under the bridge but the view from P6 is another cool perspective. I would highly recommend making a reservation! They have tables pre-saved for hotel guests so it's tough to snag a spot without one. They also don't have a bar...so that's definitely a downside. read more

Patata bravas are must-try! We're both Chinese so the red pepper sauce was not spicy to us, and the flavors were absolutely spot-on. Potatos were really crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Just thinking about the dish makes my mouth water again! The waiter kindly asked what flavors we'd like in the mocktails. Food is average for what you pay for. Parking- the hotel offers $10 for 3 hour valudation. You can chance street parking which runs $2 per hour.
