after being burned twice and losing alot of money, i reached out to Pacific Coast landscaping and talked to Tami. I explained my situation regarding building a retaining wall, and she spent quite some time with me on the phone, to not try to win my business, but explain logically the next steps i should approach i.e. talking to my engineer, asking cost engineering tactics, also checking an existing bid from a competitor to see if it was reasonable or not. These aren't things you normally do when you get a call out of the blue, but she gladly took her time and advised me from a very unbiased place. I used Pacific Coast Landscaping to upgrade my front yard and put in drains for the back. They had someone out to look at my property within a couple days. I was a bit skeptical, since I was a bit far from their office but I was referred from a friend so I checked them out. Price was right where I thought it should be. Their landscapers were very knowledgeable and were very helpful when I needed make some changes along the way. They transformed my yard with synthetic turf, palms, rock, drought tolerant plants and a bunch of palms. Looks incredible! You can't get any better than Pacific Coast Landscaping in Fullerton for pruning and trimming out your mature trees. I have used many other tree trimmer "specialists" and by far, you really do get what you pay for. The trees are thinned out to allow air and light and are shaped beautifully. They do actually "hand-prune" your trees and didn't use the annoying whining of a high-pitched saw. The staff and workers always are polite and make sure you are consulted as to expectations before they start. They do an immaculate job of cleanup...including on the neighbor's side. read more

This company was professional friendly and did good service, though quite pricey. They did all work as promised, and got paid ( a lot of money). The problem came when new invasive weeds sprouted up. Ones that I never had before! When I sent pictures of the weeds, they agreed to take out all the plants on that side, spray for the weeds, which they did twice, and then replant the area. They did everything they promised EXCEPT PUT THE NEW PLANTS IN MY FRONT YARD!! I have called many times (at least 4) and NO RETURN CALL!! I am fed up with this company! I paid $16,000 for this job and it is still not finished. As well as this bad review, I will probably take them to SMALL CLAIMS COURT. I will post pictures of the weeds and how it looks now, bare of This is a rebuttal to David, the owner, who claims that I removed the nutsedge weeds before the project was started. We wanted to plant some screening trees, and Pacific Coast Landscaping did a wonderful job! These folks were exactly what I was looking for: local, professional and knowledgeable. Luis came out to look at my yard and give me a quote. I was delighted with his refusal to plant invasive bamboo or ficus trees. That means he isn't willing to give the customer something that they would later regret. It's always nice when a vendor saves me from myself. I had found a non-invasive bamboo variety that I thought could work, so Luis researched it and was able to find some at a local nursery. He gave me a quote and scheduled my one-day job between longer jobs. I felt lucky to get in! The crew of three showed up on time, and they brought even MORE trees than I paid for! (Who even does that? Pacific Coast Landscaping, that's who.) They took out some bushes and hauled away all the debris, no charge. Luis stopped by to check on the work. I appreciated that. Chano was the lead that day, and he was great about giving me care instructions for my trees as well as recommendations for landscaping the rest of my yard. Better than we expected!! Dave helped us reign in our dream plan into a much simpler (and less expensive), yet easily expandable and upgradable design. It was amazing to watch our backyard transform from a dirty/muddy unusable mess into a beautiful water wise landscape. The design even makes our backyard feel much larger than ever before. While Dave and his team listen to your needs and follow through (his crew is great), they are very pricey! When my hardscape began deteriorating after 4 yrs ( sorry, hardscape should last longer than 4 yrs even if it is used brick) he would not stand behind his work. He gave me a repair quote and told me he would be nice and cut the quote in half. Turns out, a professional brick layer cost less than the "half" Dave was going to charge me! For my project, he used a subcontractor to lay my brick who did not have a license to do the work! Lesson learned! No matter who you use, always check out licensing at the calif state licensing board. To top it all off, Dave was extremely rude when I asked him to stand behind his work. Needed to repair a sprinkler line that had a wiring problem at a rental in Buena Park and got the brush, the runaround and unanswered emails and calls from pretty much all the well-reviewed sprinkler contractors on Yelp--apparently the job wasn't big enough. "Maybe if I'm in the area I'll give you call." Pacific Coast Landscaping was the exception. They worked with me and had two of their landscapers at the house 15 minutes before schedule. They had the problem diagnosed very quickly, did some creative wiring repair, and the system was good to go--all at a reasonable cost of $75. (Others wanted $85 just to park the truck at the curb.) The guys that came by also answered my questions and gave me estimates on larger jobs which I also thought were quite reasonable. They were very courteous and professional. The little job becomes the big job, when the little job gets done right! I'll be calling on this company again. read more
