They never answer their phone. After calling on various lines/days/times, I am very frustrated with their negligence. I also scheduled multiple showings that were out of my way and that I took time off for, only to have nobody show up on both occasions. The first time, I was sent a text less than 25 minutes before the showing stating that the person that was running late and needed to reschedule. There was no communication at all thereafter for other scheduled and confirmed showings when nobody showed up to open to unit. There were multiple prospective tenants waiting to see the property and had confirmed their showing times as well. Very unprofessional and disrespectful of everyone's time. read more

I have lived at an apartment complex managed by PCM for a year now. Back in January, my car was broken into in the gated garage in my building and some valuables were stolen. I asked for security camera footage and, at the time of writing this, I am still waiting two months later. In that time, my car was broken into a second time and just last week, my bike was stolen in the bike lock area. I have tried reaching out to PCM many, many times but keep getting nothing but excuses and false promises. It is clear that this management company doesn't care about their tenants or their safety. If you value your possessions and personal safety, do not go with a PCM property. read more

The most incompetent, unaccommodating management company! This is the second time my mother has paid our HOA (on time) and they've said it wasn't paid, but they've CASHED IT! And instead of doing their due diligence by double checking their records, they're asking my mother to provide them proof (which she has). The time before, they said she didn't pay it, then my mother worried and wrote another check and they ended up cashing her previous check a month later! Over-drafting her account! I cannot stand to deal with them and apparently they're unaware that they work for US - the home owners! They've inconvenienced us by providing us with the wrong key to our clubhouse, then telling us it was the right one - they never own their mistakes! It's ALWAYS on us and that is so frustrating. These people are absolutely awful. Do NOT hire them! They don't answer the phone. They don't return messages. The don't help or work with tenants. They force you to bother your landlord for simple requests. This company has left people without water for two weeks with no written acknowledgment that there is a problem. The HOA representative is not responding to calls or emails. When someone picks up the phone at the office, they too have no idea what is going on. No one can get ahold of Angie. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more

This company was sent to repair holes in my wall after a plumbing repair was completed. I share a common pipe with my neighbors they needed to go thru my wall to repair the leak. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of having holes drilled into my wall and I don't like repairmen in my house they are usually way too messy. The company sent a repairman named Jaime he arrived on time and he was professional his expertise far exceeded my expectations. For a gal with OCD issues he put plastic on the carpet and taped everything in place. The repair process is really interesting the repairs are undetectable this man was awesome he did everything step by step and the process went smoothly. He took a short lunch break and came back swinging into action he smoothed a substance on the walls and let that dry for 15 minutes then he came back and did a spackle spray process that matched everything. When the repairs were completed Jaime cleaned up and removed all of the plastic and tape he carefully rolled up the paper to contain the dust and went outside to further clean the walkway of paper dust plastic and his supplies. Management reviewed his work and Jamie was thanked and on his way. Jaime was awesome I would use this company again and highly recommend them to others. Don't believe any negative reviews my pictures prove the quality of the service. My carpet cleaning is next. Lol read more

The most unresponsive unhelpful management company I've ever been involved with. They wouldn't send me my HOA association docs after multiple emails, ignored numerous repair requests / concerns, and charged me over $300 to fill out a one page survey within a one week time period - which they marked half of it with "NA". I finally moved out of the really nice complex - but thankfully I don't have to deal with PCM anymore. read more

As the HOA Board President of Bayshore Gardens in Long Beach for the past year, my experience with Pacific Coast Management (PCM) has been completely positive. Being a novice serving on any HOA Board, let alone as President, was more than a little daunting. PCM's patient instruction and explanation as to the proper processes and protocols to conform to all the legal guidelines has proven to be invaluable. I have had the pleasure of working with Angie originally and now with Charmaine, and the level of professionalism, knowledge and attention to detail hasn't skipped a beat. We recently had to replace the cluster mailboxes here and the logistics involved were daunting. If we hadn't had the continual involvement, oversight and coordination with the USPS provided by Charmaine, the project would still be ongoing. PCM has been our management company from our Association's establishment nearly 18 years ago, staying committed to us during some challenging times in our history. They manage our condo unit if you can call it that. Very unavailable. It took days to get them on the phone for an ongoing leak. Then they said the bylaws make it my responsibility to pay when in fact they don't. These people lie, are rude, are irresponsible. Tristren Myers is a very lousy and lazy person. We wanted to see a unit. For two days straight he promised. The first day he changed the appointment and never called us back. then he did not show up to his showing. Let me just start by saying PCM is great! I am a plumber that works with more then 10 different management companies and this one is second to none in regards to there values and standing behind there word. I have delt with a hand full of managers that work in this firm and all of them have been great to work with, they respond right away and any homeowner / HOA questions that I have, they deal with it on the spot and keep the ball rolling. My hats off to Angie and mayra especially, these two always have the community's best interests in mind and it shows ! I just moved into a condo managed by pacific coast management and have already had two negative experiences with them. The first interaction was when I went to pick up a copy of my mail box keys and common area keys. I emailed the day before to ask how to get those keys and was told by the owner, Angie, that she had not received my closing documents, but I could just drop by and get the keys at their office. I responded that I would be there the next day. When I arrived I was told I could not get the keys because they had not received my closing documents yet. I told Terri that Angie mentioned it, but I didn't know what that meant. Terri explained the closing documents they get from escrow confirm that I am the new owner. They did not have those yet so she couldn't give me the keys. My husband and I then sat there in the office for about 20 minutes trying to get the escrow company to respond and send the documents so we could get the keys. I don't understand why Angie, the owner of this business, told us to just drop by if PCM couldn't give me the keys yet. The second interaction was earlier today. I hired a handyman to install a new washer and dryer and replace some corroded water valves. I didn't realize the water would have to be shut off and did not know where our shut off valve was. My husband and I called the office number, Terri's extension, and Angie's extension, but no one picked up. Out of frustration I tried the emergency after hours line and Mayra answered. She seemed immediately irritated that I used the emergency line and spent the rest of the conversation being condescending. I asked her where my unit's shut off valve was and she informed me that the whole stack (meaning the units above and below me) would have their water shut off too, so I have to give 2 days notice. She then unhelpfully pointed out that this policy was listed in the condos rules so I should already know this. At this point I rescheduled the installation to allow for the 48 hr notice and waited for Mayra to email me the flyers to post on my neighbors doors. When the email arrived Mayra told me she doesn't know what shut off valve is for our stack and doesn't know where to find that information. She suggests that I call Pete's Plumbing to find out what valve is the correct one. Why would I call a plumber I didn't hire to give me info about my building? Then Angie, who was cc'd, mentions that a list of the shut off valves and their corresponding units is posted in the buildings lobby. Angie then sent a weird message emphasizing that a "plumber who understands the building" needs to be the one who shuts off the valve. I asked her to elaborate because I didn't know what she meant and that I already had a licensed professional scheduled to do the work. I want to make sure he will be able to shut off the water. She then responded, "It's just important that the person turning off water shut off valves understands since you are shutting water off to various unit.". Irritated at this vague message, I say that she did not answer my questions, and she has not responded. I think maybe she thought I was trying to shut off the valve myself, despite having mentioned that I hired a handyman. In summation, these people are bad at their jobs. read more

This is a terrible management company. If you are considering a property they manage, or are looking for a property management company, RUN. I have not received mail in two days, and PCM tried to tell me that the mail carrier went on vacation and took our key with him. I called USPS Investigations, because that would have been a serious issue had that been true, and they spoke with the local post office. Apparently, USPS asked the management company for a new key to the building because they no longer had the old key. Who knows what happened to the previous key, but who really cares? This is the federal government. USPS has asked PCM three times for a new key, but they have not complied. PCM refuses to take responsibility and it's very frustrating. Pacific coast management is a very poorly run office and the staff will regularly misinform property owners about property regulations. They have extremely unprofessional staff and very poor customer service. They don't return phone calls or emails AND seem to be at lunch each time I do call. The after hours emergency number is a joke. They don't answer it or "accidently" hang-up the phone. Today I was so thrilled to see our condo association FINALLY switched over to a new property management company and I'll never have to call this office again. Good riddance PCM!! i am an owner since 2002 and our association company has always been PCM. it has been extremely noticeable that, Linda and Mayra are a great team. They are the persons to go to when things go wrong. I personally appriciate that they try at all times to get things fixed, asap. When issues come up, they write a quick note for us to post to let all the residence know. They are conservative with our association money. They always get at least three estimates befor a dissition is made. For excample getting repairs done ext.There references to hire certain companies have been at all times spot on. All of the hired companies, Gardeners, Cleaners, Construction workers and so on, have been clean, great, honest workers. Pacific Coast Management Maintenance crew- BEST!!! Due to an HOA water pipe leak, my bathroom had to almost be completely gutted. The PCM crew did an amazing job at gutting and replacing. Steve and crew did an amazing job on the following: 1. Very clean....I could never tell that these guys had been here. They did an excellent job of cleaning every day. 2. Dry Wall is more than perfect. After many years of living in a condo, I have had my share of flooding and many walls have been torn out. Unfortunately, I can tell where every wall and piece of drywall has ever been replaced and torn out...it's a mess. However, my bathroom looks like it was not pieced together at all....you can't see any issues. The walls are perfect. 3. Steve did a great job with the knockdown texture. Best knockdown I have seen....great job!! I'm really picky with this!! 4. Painting....Again, great!! 5. Vanity sink was put back better than it was originally put in by Lowes. 6. Baseboards were put back in very nicely. I can't even really begin to express how happy I am with my bathroom. I feel that Steve and crew went beyond my expectations and I am very happy. read more

I have had the pleasure/displeasure of working with a number of different HOA management companies. The vast majority of the property managers do little more than advise the Board. Any real work they are required to do takes months, sometimes years. PCM's managers are no different. They are indifferent to the problems of the residents, concerned with doing the least amount of work possible and generally do not respond to questions or concerns sent by email or voicemail. In short, if I were the only one paying them they would have been fired after one month of inadequate service. read more

I have friends that own and live in the area and are frustrated by how their HOA manage their building. I am very pleased with the company's ability to strike a balance between maintainings costs with ongoing improvements. read more

I am a resident at Oro court condo'sin Long Beach which is under Pacific Coast Management. I would like to say that as an owner I feel they are doing a fantastic job. Even thru many trials and building issues, PCM has been great !! They are always available to contact and take care of each issue that arises as quickly as possible. As a homeowner in Signal Hill, CA, I have had the extremely unpleasant experience of dealing with this utterly unprofessional company. After my neighbor re-did her back yard, her irrigation system started flooding my yard. After contacting Linda from PCM in 2018, nothing has been done as of today. I have sent her and Angie numerous emails with pictures, a report from a water leak contractor (indicating where the leak is coming from) and other materials. There were other violations that have not been addressed as well. After my numerous attempts to address the issue, Linda scheduled a meeting with the HOA board in order for me to present my case. At the meeting, I presented a package detailing the issue and my attempts to resolve it. In short, the board and PCM have been ignoring us ever since. Neither Linda nor Angie respond to my emails or attempts to contact them. I sincerely believe that the positive reviews on PCM are either fake or paid for by the company. I am still in disbelief that PCM is in business. In case anyone doubts my story - please contact me. I can provide you with documentation in order to support my story. I'd give negative stars if this was possible. Have lived and owned a condo at Pacific Towers for 14 years now and was disgustingly harassed by some people who were there to probably buy drugs (another thing the HOA doesn't care about at all) on the elevator yesterday morning and I filed a police report and have called the HOA now over ten times probably closer to twenty to get copies of the security footage and keep getting told the same thing that Jayeson Douthit is the manager and is not in but will get a call from him today. Same story yesterday. Is he not working? Is he ignoring our numerous calls? What do we pay our HOA fee for?? Mayra told us specifically that yesterday she spoke to Jayeson to call one of us back to which he obviously completely ignored. We even had our lawyer try to contact the office today also with no avail. This company is poorly run. We have seen numerous people coming in and out at all hours who are strung out on drugs and even at one HOA meeting we told them there is someone selling and cooking meth on the 3rd floor. They do not care about any problems or issues in our building. They told us if we see anything call the police. OK great thanks for your help!!! Omg I could go on forever. The HOA wanted to repaint the outside our building. Great news right? This summer on 7/14/14 there were notices everywhere stating clear off your balconies there will be painters coming to repaint them. Ok great I'm always welcoming improvements. Well it is 1/16/15 and not all the balconies have been painted yet!!! What are they doing? I could paint everything faster if I did it by myself! Mind you we only have about 50-60 balconies. This has been over 32 weeks and you can't paint 60 balconies? Our balcony took one day to complete the painting. Also, if you are ever in the building do not use an elevator if you do not have a cell phone with you because chances of getting stuck on the elevator from breaking down is very high. And then when the elevator is broken it may be broken for up to weeks at a time. There was even a point a couple months ago where both elevators were broken. I saw a man in a wheelchair stuck and not able to get home. Also, there are a lot of bed bugs in the building. There are some people who are more dirty than others where these are probably stemming from and we had a building wide bed bug inspection this past summer. Low and behold we actually found one in our apartment that same day and kept it on a napkin to show the inspector. He looks at it says yes its a bed bug but says that because there is no blood in the bed bug that since he didn't bite anyone then they can't spray. How does this make any sense at all?? The notices said they would be spraying apartments where bed bugs were present why were we not sprayed? We talked to other tenants and they weren't sprayed either what's the point of our HOA paying for someone to come check apartments and then do absolutely nothing about it? Worst HOA I do not recommend them at all. read more

She will call you out on something to try to make herself and/or her company look better. She is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL person I've ever had to work with. Try calling them or going to their website and you will see how unprofessional these guys are. Always 'in a meeting' or 'on vacation'. Their pipes burst and flooded our tenants for a day. They took 3 days to fix the pipe and never fixed the Bathroom ruined tile. Shady. read more

I have been on my HOA Board on and off for over 20 years. For the last 10 years it has been my extreme pleasure to be working with Angie and Pacific Coast Management. Having worked with 2 other management companies before Pacific Coast Management, I feel I know the difference between a good management company and a bad one. Through EXTREMELY poor management from our previous company, we came to Angie with our Reserves at just 16%. She was up to the challenge. With her foresight, knowledge, expertise in HOA management and love for doing her job well, she guided us as a Board in making decisions, that while not popular with many home owners at the time, proved to be exactly what we needed to recover financially. Because of Angie's help, we've been able to afford many necessary repairs and improvements in the common area, that otherwise would never have been taken care of. I could go on and on, but I'll stop by saying that if there were more than 5 stars to give as a positive rating for Pacific Coast Management, I would give them all! read more

Pacific Coast Management deserves to run itself out of business. Our relationship is one which never fails to depress. Calls are typically routed to voicemail, with no responses received. The work which they decide to complete is inevitably overpriced and without regard to safety. (We had two flat tires as a result of their inability to clean up nails after a 1-day repair job which turned into 5 days. Unfortunately, this *appearance* of diligent labor resulted in less than half of the work being completed.) Buyer beware. Their reputation in the area is one step above 'con artists'. read more
