There is so much good to say about Pacific Coast Spirits, I don't even know where to start! I hosted my sister's birthday party here and everything was perfect- from the location, to the appetizers to the drinks and most importantly, the team! The restaurant is laid back but beautiful and the cocktails were absolutely incredible! The team was attentive, kind, personable and fun. They provided us with a sizable space for our group which allowed us to mingle while also allowing for some simple decorations for cute photo opps. I would highly recommend this spot for events and for a cute date night spot for delicious cocktails and good vibes. Last but not least, shout out to Lucia the event coordinator who set us up for success. She was so easy to work with, very responsive and flexible and made it so stress free in planning the event. read more

This place has sooooo much potential but misses the mark in a few places. We went for happy hour on a Thursday evening. Should've been packed as it was beautiful out, but the place only had one other table. There's a full bar, good enough music, and it's decorated well, so why not people?? Well the food is average (at least the happy hour food) wings were good, poke nachos also good, but nothing memorable just solid. Prices on happy hour are great for what you get. Drinks though-- another place with pre-batches cocktails--- ewww They are never good. Overwhelmingly sweet and falling flat of charisma. I understand they're a way to keep costs down for happy hour, but clearly it's not working here. Service was fine but such a huge place with only one bartender and one waitress/hostess on says a lot on a happy hour Thursday evening. Overall opinion was place has the potential to be great. We've only been here twice and both of our experiences have been awesome. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Enjoyed our visit with Molly, Lexi and Valerie. Each one of them gave us great menu suggestions and service. We would definitely recommend trying the pork belly - delicious! Also, the loaded bloody Mary was killer! Only a limited number of TVs, but still able to enjoy Sunday football, noise level was very acceptable. This will definitely be on our list of Oceanside favorites. read more

We decided to check this plate out for lunch after reading an article in a local magazine. We sat outside which had a nice atmosphere with picnic tables and umbrellas. There is, also a couple games set up. We ordered a couple of the cocktails and unlike a previous review said we were able to have them outside. I had the Spicy Prickly Margarita which was good and definitely had a little kick to it. My husband had the Oaxacan Anticuado which was recommended by the server. At first, he didn't like it but then halfway through realized he just needed to stir it! For food we ordered the Distillery Fries and Blackened Mahi Tacos. The food was not impressive at all. The fries were extremely salty, and the tacos had a tiny piece of fish. I think the atmosphere is a good place to stop and have cocktails, but I would skip the food. read more

Food was great, but service was really bad. We showed up with reservations for 7, restaurant was empty, we had 3 kids w us and they were going to seat us at a high top. We asked for a low top (seeing that the place is empty). Then got our food order in and out decent time. Food was good as I said, but once we ordered dessert, server never came back. We saw our dessert sitting at the window too. Had to go find another server to get our food. Then had to go hunt our server down again to get our check. She wouldn't come back and help us. The last time we came here, we had such a good time. The food was great and the cocktails were better. Since a friend was in town, we got a few people together to visit PCS again and although the drinks are still TOP NOTCH, the menu was overhauled and none of us were very impressed with the food in general. With one exception: my wife did love the goat cheese salad. Instead of sprinkling goat cheese like other places might do, they plopped a huge slice of goat cheese right onto the place. It was massive, and looked like a large piece of cake. This salad is a little unconventional in that way but we liked it. The Pretzel Nuggets were just okay. The bread itself was fine, though it could have used substantially more rock salt. The included cheese sauce or dip was really lackluster. It lacked in boldness and flavor and I can honestly say it might be the blandest dipping sauce for a pretzel I've ever had. They also topped off the pretzels with a hatch chili pimento cheese. It looked strange on the plate, as if it fell off some other dish in the kitchen and right onto the top of the pretzel bread. The Umami Shrimp Salad Rolls were terribly disappointing. The bread overpowered any contents inside and I could not tell I was eating a shrimp salad. I don't recall getting any actual shrimp. I believe it's there, just didn't taste any. The rolls themselves were nice and if you replaced the shrimp salad with hot buttered lobster, I'd be blown away... Two folks ordered the Brisket Philly and the verdict was a resounding "meh". I didn't try them or get a photo so I can only take their word. The menu has interesting looking tacos and even wings, but you can only order them on one day: either Tuesday for tacos or Wednesday for wings. These should be available on the regular menu. I hate dropping my score for PCS since I did love coming here the first time and I do think their cocktails are some of the best in Oceanside but the food program (which I believe is VERY important especially when serving alcohol) has taken a noticeable hit. Maybe this is just a seasonal thing and it'll get worked out soon... I'll still absolutely bring friends to grab cocktails here as I love the vast drink menu but we'll have to eat somewhere else first. Note: service was great, as was the first time. We can't underscore how nice it is to have a pleasant and helpful server. read more

I can tell you about the fun, laid back vibe, the crazy-comprehensive local drafts, the library of house spirits, and the yummy grub. But, why are you making me go through all that? Looking on Yelp I found Pacific Coast. What could be better than a distillery, right? Yes, I was 100% correct. My colleague had a couple of local craft pints and I restrained myself from chugging that heavenly G+T. I can't wait to go back and taste through their other spirits and try more of the menu. (The only reason I didn't give five stars was the service was a little chaotic. It was mid-afternoon with very few customers and there were several staff members floating around. The bartender who initially served us actually ended her shift and took off without saying a word (we found out after the fact). So, even sitting at the bar we had to flag someone down to get service. I am sure this isn't the normal experience and I will definitely be returning. I just couldn't conscientiously give the five. We wanted to love this place and loved the decor etc. when we arrived. But the experience was terrible tonight. I ordered the truffle fries and tuna bowl. The tuna bowl was seared tuna, not a poke bowl. The bartender told me three times they didn't have siracha or soy sauce. The dryest of meals. Then he brought some out soy sauce halfway through my meal saying "they were able to scrounge some up." Clearly he just was just too lazy and didn't want to go ask the kitchen. The truffle fries were terrible- I ate three. And I love fries. The pretzel bites were old and re-cooked. We had to ask for extra cheese which came out w out entrees much, much later. My husbands brisket was completely fatty. The bartender came by and asked how our meal was and I said not good and my husband said his Mac and cheese was good. Seeing by the amount of food left on our plates when we left, I'm shocked the bartender didn't say or do anything like remove something from the $130 bill. Further, we wanted to buy a bottle of Negroni but so annoyed by the bartender's lack of attention or care -- that we ended up leaving. Pics display what we left on the table. Went back after receiving a gift card from the manager Matthew, after my last review. I ordered the same margarita and it was AWESOME! I think last time was just the result of an off-batch! My husband and I both got the Spicy Prickly Margarita (or 3) and enjoyed them immensely. Lunch was absolutely fantastic! We were driving through Oceanside sorting through yelp trying to find a place to eat, and so glad we stopped here! The place is so cute with lots of plants and bright colors with a great atmosphere. I got the chicken caesar wrap with fries which was great. I also got a shirley temple which was super good. I really wanted to love this place. I can say their whiskey and drinks are great! We got the whiskey flight and they were all really good. Mimosa was good, hubby's michelada was good, but the food was really disappointing. I got the burrata salad and hubby got the hot chicken sandwich with truffle fries. My salad was ok. The burrata was really good but the salad really needed some seasoning and there was barely any pancetta on it. The hot chicken sandwich was unfortunately really flavorless. I was surprised because hot chicken is usually really flavorful and a little spicy. This was neither. The truffle fries had ZERO truffle flavor and they upcharge you for that so don't bother. The fries are great, but they're not truffle fries at all. Our service was great and they had a really nice outside patio with some live entertainment. Food was just meh. Definitely worth a stop but don't know if we'll be back. read more

Do not order the Chicken Schnitzel! My 8 month pregnant wife, one year old son, and I ate here on Saturday, May 24, 2025. I ordered and was served the Chicken Schnitzel and after I took a bite, I noticeably tasted something was very wrong. I started to cut several parts of the Schnitzel and it was pink throughout. I called our server and asked her to send it back and the manager immediately came out to apologize and said it was not alright. The manager removed the Schnitzel from our check, but to be honest more should have been done. We are so lucky I didn't share any of it with my pregnant wife and one year old son, which is normal for us to share food when we are out. Always wondering why this place is always uncrowded, but I think we know why now. Avoid the Schnitzel and maybe this place overall, so many other great restaurants in Oceanside who do not serve undercooked chicken. Good luck if you do end up going here! read more

Came here for dinner on a Saturday with a reservation for 12. The interior is welcoming and there are various seating areas - booths, sofas, bar, outdoor. The decor is tasteful casual. We were seated immediately. Our server was friendly but did not seem to be very experienced. The PCS Manhattan is served in a smallish glass - not martini, lowball, or coupe, and chilled. It was well balanced. Others ordered the fall back and vodka mule. The mule came in a glass, not the traditional copper mug. Both drinks met with approval. The pretzel bites came hot and salty, but with a teeny container of the bourbon cheese sauce. We asked for more sauce...it came after we had finished the bites. Dinner orders were taken, and only after two in the party were told there was no more brisket. Dinner orders came out two plates at a time. My meal came only after the three friends sitting near me weee half down with their food. The shrimp po boy is a seasonal sandwich and let's hope the season is short. The shrimp is heavily breaded, with loose breading. There were mo more than 3 shrimp in the sandwich. The fries, regular and truffle, were hot and crispy. My friends thought their smash burgers were above average. The harvest salad was fresh. The salmon with orzo was rated good. The Maui Maui tacos were rated delicious. The server and manager went above and beyond to make up for the lack of brisket, the slow kitchen (they were definitely short staffed), and the po boy. That alone shows that the business cares about the patrons. We had an overall good experience. read more

Our server was super negligent for there being only two tables, mine included. I'm not impressed and this place will not be high on my list of places to go which is a shame considering how aesthetically pleasing the place is. read more

Recently enjoyed yet another fantastic meal at Pacific Coast! Stopped by for brunch on a recent Sunday and had my favorite hash. Served in a small cast iron skillet with pulled pork, potatoes, corn and an amazing sauce!. Their cocktail menu is unique and delicious. My favorite is the Farmarita and they also have some fun non-alcoholic drinks as well. My husband loves the Cali Smash Burger and their fries are incredible! We've never had a bad meal here. Top all the great food and drinks off with the nicest group of people working there and the cool vibe - it's a winner for sure! Highly recommend! I will add that we also did some holiday shopping and have purchased their vodka, agave blanco, and whiskey - gifts that were met with much delight! read more
