DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO COME TO YOUR HOME!!!! I requested service from AHS they sent Carlos, who came in my home and proceeded to tell me there was no issue with cool air coming out of me AC. I did not request service for that issue. My issue was that my AC kept turning off and on. He then fact-timed someone who told him to check the wiring of my Nest. When he came to my home my Nest thermostat was working perfectly. He checked out my AC unit on the roof then came and said, he didn't know the type of unit I had because the labeling had faded and he needed to get authorization from the insurance company and he'd be in contact with me. Right before Carlos left I noticed my Nest said a wire was disconnected. ( this was not an issue prior to him coming) so I went to grabbed him before he left and told him to come and fix it. He did some jimmying and left. An hour later I called at least 5 times for them to send someone back to fix my thermostat since now I was having 2 issues rather than the one. They said all of their workers were too busy and no one could come to fix it. Today I get a call from my warranty company saying the thermostat is broken and they won't cover it. The manager says "in 30 years he's never seen a private property sign on a condo complex" and they would not be able to service our condo. I offered to send him an picture of the sign and he refused. The worst HVAC installation ever. They installed a new $25,000 air conditioning system for me six years ago and I've had nothing but problems every single year and now they don't even service the brand that they installed anymore. I finally found a good company that was honest and decently priced and we walked through the system and found so many problems including leaking Freon due to damaged coils that were likely damaged during the installation since I have had to refill it numerous times. So it's possible that my family has been inhaling Freon for years. I called them and to repair and they shrugged it off and told me they don't work on this brand anymore!!! This was supposed to be a new installation and they also left ducting from the old installation where the top layer of sheathing was ripped which reduces the efficiency of the system during the hot months. I had used them for repair for the prior 6 years to this install so this is how they treat repeat customers. Lazy half ass work. Next, they installed the drainage overflow so that the PVC pipes went right into my garage. Now when it gets hot, water starts dripping in my garage which is completely not how to do an installation...now I have learned. They also installed an ancient damper system to save themselves money and that damper/zoning system has now failed so we have to replace it at great cost. No one should have this many problems within the first five years of ownership and they do not back up their work. Absolutely the worst. read more

Pacific control was scheduled to come check out my AC unit through my home warranty. When Rafi arrived he went up on the roof and then he came down and wanted to see our electrical panel after he looked at it. He said that's the problem your electrical panel does not have enough voltage to run your AC unit. which is absolutely ridiculous. It's been running the AC unit for over 20 years. My wife is an electrician and after she came out and asked a couple questions he said I'm going to go up on the roof again and went up on the roof again. Came down and said it's your motor and there's some water at the bottom of the unit. He stated he would file a report with my home warranty company, the next day he called me early in the morning and asked me to get up on the roof and see if my motor was working. I let him know I cannot get up on my roof and he insisted because he said that they denied my claim. I called my home warranty to find out why they denied the claim and they said it was due to the fact that I never serviced my unit which is also Falls I service it every year and have the proof. Raffi never asked if I had serviced the unit. I called him back to ask why he said that, he said, well, you didn't tell me it was serviced, and I said you didn't ask. THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE FRAUD! RAFFI the owner, BASIL the technician and their entire company is riddled with fraudulent business practices. Basil came to my home and exclaimed how my condensers were filled with refrigerant, maintained well, etc., but that my thermostat wasn't responding. Basil stated that he will submit my order, but that AHS (American Home Shield) doesn't cover zoning A/C systems. This was his first lie, because I've been with AHS for 18 years and they've ALWAYS COVERED MY ZONING A/C systems in all my homes! This guy is clearly incompetent, didn't know how to say this, and made up this pathetic lie!! Then, Basil tells me the cold air isn't blowing because I may have a duct problem and need help with that. So while he was still at my home, I submitted a new work order for duct work through AHS, and they happened to assign pacific control service for that work order, too! Well.... it gets better!! Pacific control service submits their diagnosis for my A/C as failure to work due to MY LACK OF MAINTENANCE!! AND, THEY CLAIMED TO COME TO MY HOME TO CHECK ON MY DUCT WORK AND THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, BUT THAT WE HAD MISSING PARTS DUE TO MY NEGLIGENCE, BBBBUUUTTTTT THEY NEVER CAME TO MY HOME TO LOOK AT MY DUCT WORK!! I had a horrible experience with Pacific Control Service. My insurance company sent them out for a service on my AC (it was leaking water) and the technician didn't do a thing. He didn't even have a ladder or a flashlight with him and didn't even turn my AC unit on. He diagnosed the issue with my AC as a clogged drain and explained that since I lived on the second floor of a condo unit they were unable to perform a repair because the insurance company wouldn't cover it. I called a different company out for a second opinion and the technician came out with a bag of tools and a ladder. He turned on my AC and ran some tests then informed me that my AC unit needed refrigerant. He replenished the refrigerant and now my AC works great and no longer leaks. Pacific Control Service sucks and is inadequate. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

He reviewed his paperwork verbally to see what he was here for, and in addition, he asked if I had any other concerns. In yesterday's terrible heat, he crawled under my house and eventually popped back out with the same positive attitude about what he saw and what needed to happen. He fixed the issue and then again reviewed what he did and again asked, "are there any questions you have or anything I have not covered". What a thorough representative! They made me wait from 2 to 5pm on Friday then I called them at 5:30 and they said they couldn't make it that day and that they would be there Sat morning. Technician calls Sat and says he would be at my place between 10:30am and 12:30pm no show I call at 1pm and he says oh your house is out of our area. This company obviously doesn't know how to look up address on the web or google to see if they can service an area or not and most importantly they lack the respect to call and inform the client of any changes. On Friday night my a/c fan stopped working and I was worried I would be out during the current heat wave. Thankfully my neighbor recommended this business and when they opened on Monday, they were able to order the parts and be on site by Tuesday. I was worried that I was going to get ripped off, or have unprofessional people coming over. However, they didn't try to up sell me, they come in quietly, and wore a mask to be Covid compliant. They were in and out in an hour. Other people have told me they had their unit's done for more money, so I'm thinking it was a great deal. I called my home insurance company to file a claim for the ac/heather not working. They told me to get in touch with Pacific Control Services. Raffi, called me the next day early in the morning, scheduled appointment. Came on time looked at the issues and told me ahead of time that insurance will not cover wear and tear. After calling the insurance company it was confirmed. Raffi is very professional and even do no one, who I know referred me to him, for some reason, I liked to proceed and do the installation of a brand new unit. Run away!!!! All of the reviews are true. They are a complete FRAUD. Unfortunately AHS sent out this company to "diagnose" an issue. The company submitted a false report to the insurance company saying a cover was missing - which it was not. Of course AHS jumped all over the false report of this crooked contractor and denied the claim. But to add insult to injury these liars said they could "fix" the issue for a mere $2300 and just sent me a one line email stating what was wrong. Fortunately, I found another company that spent 2 hours locating the problem and fixed it for $595. Next stop for this company is the contractors board. I pity you if you use them. After said repair failed, Rafy then refused to return to remedy. So, UNLESS you are willing to hire them to rightfully do the job the warranty covered initially, at an out-of-pocket cost into the thousands, they in turn report back to the warranty company - in this case First American Home Warranty (avoid at all costs) that you are a hostile client and they will not return to your home. Great. After finding a company by referral, the contractor that came out laughed at how brazen the previous guy was (I didn't disclose any info) by simply unplugging a wire to seem as if the unit had failed. Plugged it in and VOILA! It pays to avoid home warranty companies altogether. You'll end up about even anyway considering all of the '"non-covered" fees you will pay and the quality of work/er will be more genuine. read more

I met Rafy in 2017 when my then home warranty company sent him out to fix my 70-year-old broken floor heater. It was unfixable. However, when we talked about possibly installing central heat and air, I had many questions. In my experience, contractors often show impatience when having to answer a bunch of questions. They'd usually rather just throw a price at you and move on to their next job or sale. But, I never experienced that from Rafy. He took quite a bit of time to patiently answer every question and concern I had plus he offered a terrific price. He was unique among contractors. I held on to Rafy's contact information for 3 years until I was ready to install central air and heat. Rafy actually remembered me. He came over to completely evaluate my home and again took his time explaining everything. He made several promises along the way re: what he'd install, how they will do the job, the amount of time it would take, among others. Most contractors make promises but only live up to about 50% of them. I also interviewed other heating and air conditioning contractors and nobody would give me a straight forward answers as Rafy. My job was completed quickly. His crew was friendly and thorough. Any additional concerns I had along the way were addressed right away. As 1 simple example, I wanted an upgraded filter for the unit vs the 1 that came with the unit. He said he'd get it for me. They (contractors) always say they're going to do things but need to be reminded 100 times because they always forget. I expected Rafy would also forget. Nope! He didn't forget - he got it for me right away. This kind of thing happened several times where I'd ask them to do something extra and they actually did it! I never felt hassled or brushed off. He kept every single promise and I love my new system. Everything passed the city and state's inspections the 1st time which gave me even more confidence in their work. I will recommend his company to any friend who needs heating and air conditioning work. Thank you, Rafy and company! By the way ... I love way outside the posted service area around Van Nuys. Here is my honest review of this company. 2 Years ago October 2020 i used my home warranty company and they sent Pacific out to my house, my AC outside had broke so they gave me an estimate to fix my AC. They wanted to charge me $2200 for replacing my AC even though i had home warranty. I was able to talk them down to 1800. So of the 1800 they charged me all these bogus fees like relocation fee, warranty fee, servicing fee and it included like 10 different charges in bogus fees. So at the time i didnt know anything about how home warrantys work. So i paid the 1800 and got it replaced. After the AC was replaced the air was not coming out of the vents very well. I asked Pacific to take a look at the ducting and they said OH you have to file another claim for that. At the time i was low on money so i didnt want to file another claim and have repairs that i cant afford to pay. Now fast forward to June 2022. I call my home warranty company to file a claim and i found out i never should have paid out of pocket anything. 2 reps from my home warranty company told me sir you have a home warranty you should not have to pay anything out of pocket. So i call my home warranty company to file a claim for my ducting issue. They send a repair or rep out this week. He doesnt even take the time to go in my attic to check the ducting, he literally spends 5 minutes and says oh don't worry we will take care of it. So im thinking great they will fix my ducting. I then get an email a few hours later and the rep that came to my house from Pacific quoted me $3000.00 out of pocket and that the the ducting in my attic that the first layer of my ducting is coming off and that its a manufacturers defect and that its not covered by my warranty company!!!!! They want $3000.00 out of my pocket. How the heck does the guy know the first layer of my ducting is damaged if he never even went up to my attic???? How can he say of its a manufacturer defect? I am sure this is the original ducting that has been there since this house was built in 1991. So i called my home warranty company again and they said i should have never been charged to repair my AC out of pocket back in 2020. And the rep further investigated and said that Pacific charged not only me out of pocket but also charged the home warranty company! These people and company are so shady and i hope my review will help people stay away from these terrible people! Also would like to add Basil is the tech/service guy. This guy is a total liar, BS, and one of the worst people i have ever dealth with. Hes the one who never even went to my attic to check my ducting, told me he will take care of my issue, then proceeds to charge me 3000 dollars out of my pocket. I had 3 A/C service men come to home to diagnose my A/C. My A/C in my home was not cooling my house. The 1st Canoga Park Heating and A/C stated that I needed to replace my A/C that it was to old. 2nd one Crystal Air stated that I needed to replace my battery to my thermostat. I did that but it still was not cooling my house. So I contacted Crystal Air again. They came out and stated that their was nothing wrong with my A/C unit. So I contacted Pacific Control Service Heating and A/C. They sent out an honest professional Technician named Basil Julius. He diagnose my A/C and discovered that I needed a New Compressor. He installed a new compressor and my home is now cool. I highly recommend Pacific Control Heating and A/C Service. They get the job done! read more

Our AC unit went out. PCS was assigned to us via our home warranty provider. The tech came in next day, diagnosed and fixed the issue (which was a burned out fuse). He also went the extra mile to find out why the fuse was burned out in the first place, which was a faulty part upstream, and obviously replaced that as well. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER - DO NOT USE They were contracted through American Home Shield to check out an issue with our Heating/AC system. First, they cancelled twice becauce they had another "emergency" come up. Second, when they finally showed up, they never gave me a heads up-- as they promised over the phone-- so I wasn't at home (even though I work 10 minutes from home). Third, when I asked the technician to wait 10 minutes, he refused. Fourth, I asked him to stop ringing the doorbell and banging on the door because my wife was home ill and bedridden-- and he literally refused. He was rude to me and also refused to wait, even though he failed to alert me of his visit. Fifth, when we re-scheduled-- due to their mistake-- and I waited at home for THREE hours the next day, and when no one showed up, I called the dispatcher and it turned out they had marked the order "complete" and a "no show" even though the dispatcher had rescheduled it with me the day before! They wasted my time and patience. And finally, they even told American Home Shield that they would refuse to come out on the same work order-- they refused to admit that the work was not "complete"-- to their own lead generator...talk about shooting yourself in the foot! The one saving grace was that the dispatcher was very apologetic and respectful-- although slightly unclear with her communication and authority... This contractor assigned to my furnace service by American Home Shield warranty plan. Although they said that the flue pipe needs replacement, they submitted a diagnosis report claiming that there's a lack of capacity and size problem with my hvac unit. Therefore AHS denied my service request. I was able to fix my problem with another hvac service provider by only adjusting the gas valve. This company is a total waste of time and not reliable at all. They're just working with warranty company not to provide you covered services. I would not recommend them to anyone if you need a real solution for your problems. read more

Avoid these folks at all costs. They were sent by American Home Shield to diagnose why our AC unit isn't cooling. First issue was they didn't show at the agreed upon time. Instead they call and say they're busy and say they'll come the next day. When they actually showed up, that's when the real trouble started. First comment was that the AC unit was too big for our house (more on that later), next he said that the coolant was low so he charged to add coolant and left. Next day, same problem - the AC unit doesn't cool. So we do a recall through AHS and Pacific control makes an appointment to come out. But instead of coming out the owner just calls and says "they don't pay me to come a second time" and "I need you to go on the roof and take a look at the unit and describe what you see." He also kept asking how many square feet our home is, but didn't believe me claiming that I was lying to him about how big the house is and that our AC unit is actually too small for our house. So first the unit is too big for our house and now it is too small? I don't even no what to say about that other than the fact that it's wildly un professional. I let him know that I'm not an AC professional so I wouldn't be going on the roof and asked him to come take a look at the unit as was agreed. I also sent him pictures of water dripping into the furnace closet which started only after his visit. He tells me he is going to try to find another way to help me which he doesn't explain any further. Next day AHS emails saying they were rejecting our claim to upgrade the size of our AC unit. So we call AHS and it turns out our tech from Pacific Control decided to say that the we wanted a bigger unit and are asking for an upgrade. To be clear, we didn't ask for a bigger unit - wouldn't even know the first thing about how big the ac unit should be. To sum up: Pacific Control lied to AHS about the service call, refused to show up for their appointment, was rude, accused us of lying about the size of the house, told me to get on the roof and diagnose the issue myself...needless to say, this is the worst service I've ever had from a company - ever. read more

We decided to replace our entire HVAC system last year and I got a referral from a very close friend that had a very good experience with Pacific control. He had three estimates and we went with Pacific control, not because he was the most inexpensive but he had done work for a good friend. When The owner first came and reviewed the old HVAC system out, he explained that the new furnaces are nosier than the old, due to low Knox is now regulated in Los Angeles County, for us that wasn't an issue we don't sleep with heat on ever ! Well it's exactly the opposite, the ac is so noisy, and we had to turn the volume up on our TV up to 32 so we could hear the TV The noise coming out of the return, individual vents was so loud we couldn't fall asleep or stay asleep. My Husband had to turn the system off The technician came back on Friday the 16th of October, he brought a new grate for the return saying it would help, it doesn't, and tried to tell us that now we have to re-duct the entire home, which will help the noise level, so we agreed. Another 4500.00 Then Monday the 19th of October, the coil and or furnace is now leaking, there is water building up in the filter pan, and outside the furnace along all edges. I called the owner and he said it's impossible that it's leaking, I took a video and sent it to him, he agreed it was leaking and told us a technician would be out ASAP, and they were, and they did replace the coil at no charge as we expected but they were at my home for another entire day We were also promised equal distribution, and 7 months later we do not have equal distribution. The master Bedroom is cold and quiet, the other rooms are quiet, but they never get cold, we still have time left on our free year of labor, and I have been struggling with writing this review, At this point I'm going to pay another HVAC vendor to come in and correct all of the mistakes made by this company. I'm not kidding when I tell you they had to come out at least a dozen more times to correct mishaps in my home, the recessed lighting in my Kitchen was falling out of the ceiling, from them stepping on the housing within the attic, they stained the carpet in my daughters room, they scratched a bathroom door chipped a bathroom door, and the closet where the housing is they have ruined the paint and ledge from pulling out the old unit.
