Maple "home spun" cake donut thing in muffin form.

Cute coffee shop with a loft and friendly staff. Cold brew did the job. Got a maple "home spun" by Sugar Cinns bakery which was described as a donut and muffin hybrid. Really good and reminded me of the maple donut cupcake from Cako in SF back in the day. Texturally like a cake donut but in muffin form.

Cozy coffee shop located in Pacifica. For my first time in Rockaway Beach, Pacific Java Cafe delivered on flavor, vibes and service. The location is amazing~ Rockaway Beach is coastal, casual and charming. The coffee matched the energy. I got a cold brew with sugar free vanilla and strawberry syrup. The coffee was smooth and had subtly sweet notes, very refreshing. If you're looking for a chill coffee spot, Pacific Java Cafe is the place to go.

If Pinterest had a beach baby with a caffeine addiction, it would be Pacifica Java. This tiny seaside café in Pacifica, CA is so charming it might actually be judging you for not wearing Birkenstocks. I went with the Salted Caramel Latte iced, which was basically dessert disguised as a beverage--and I'm not mad about it. Sweet, salty, cold, and sassy. Like me, if I were a drink. My wife, ever the connoisseur of drinks with animal names, got the English Zebra Mocha. She was very pleased, which means it was either delicious or just didn't make her raise an eyebrow. Either way: win. If you're not into delicious drinks, cute vibes, or tiny shops that make you feel like you stumbled into someone's well-curated dream journal, then maybe keep driving. But if you like caffeine with coastline and a hint of quirk, Pacifica Java's your jam. Want me to crank it up with some poetic sass or turn it into a Yelp-worthy roast? I'm all ears.

I took a little solo trip to Rockaway Beach to reset. Life's been a bit overwhelming lately; one of those times where everything hits at once. I went for a walk and found this cute café called Pacifica Java. There's an upstairs nook I wish I'd found earlier to journal there, but I left my book on the car. Journaling by the ocean was nice though :). I ordered a medium Misty Morning Mocha, and the barista made a tiny panda in the foam. The drink was mildly sweet with a hint of peppermint. I was expecting it to be sweet like all other Mocha's i tend to get, but it was a nice surprise. The Panda Art made my day a bit brighter. I wasn't expecting it, but it's a little reminder that small moments can make a big difference.

I got the Mexican Mocha! WOW! I had no idea this hidden gem was even here! I would definitely revisit! My daughter had toasted marshmallow with hazelnut and she loved hers too! Super cute so we stayed and drank our coffee. The barista was super sweet as well.

Such a cute cafe in Pacifica! Stopped by here prior to hiking at Mori Point. I ordered the matcha latte and it was pretty good. Also ordered the pre-packaged sausage and egg breakfast sandwich. I had the cashier heat the sandwich and the sandwich ended up being hot on the outside but still cold on the inside :/ I just ate it as is lol since I didn't want to bother the one cashier about it since she was the only one working! My friend ordered the honey lavender latte and she really enjoyed it! Either way, the cafe was relatively small but had a decent amount of seating both upstairs and downstairs. There's even some board games and a game console to hangout and play. Would recommend stopping by if you're looking for a chill cafe :)

I enjoy going to Pacific Java Cafe every so often when I'm on the coast! Their lattes are fun and usually very good, sometimes they taste a little off unfortunately. I love that they have some pastries from Mazzettis! Their breakfast sandwich offerings are decent too, most are meat and there is (I think) one plant based, so that's nice. Everyone there is friendly and the space itself is super welcoming! They have a cute corner for kids too which is helpful when trying to keep them entertained!

It's a local cozy clean cut coffee shop with lots of varieties of drinks pastries and snacks. Has decent amount of tables in two floors. Friendly staff with quick service. Great place for study with reading and relaxing. Close to shore for walk and hike trails.

My favorite cafe in Pacifica! I come here often to get some work done and I also love bringing my friends and family here. The coffee is great and the vibe is always welcoming. There is an upstairs and downstairs and also seating outside. This is a perfect place to relax, chat it up, get some work done & even play some notes on the piano they have!

Very good coffee and chai tea! We had both the Mexican Mocha with an added shot of espresso (recommended) and the coconut milk Chai tea latte, which is also a local favorite. Both are highly recommended!

Coffee smell is AMAZING!! After exploring the beach and a few local shops, we stumbled upon Pacific Java! A cute little local coffee shop with a cozy and chill out vibe! We walked in and there was a man playing the piano (looked like a local) and was just hanging out. The music, the vibe and service all spot on. At 3:00pm on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty relaxed and a nice flow of things. I ordered a cappuccino $4 My husband ordered an Americano $4 Lots of seating! Upstairs and downstairs!! Will be back for sure!!

If they're busy, they might forget to call your name and you'll need to go get the food yourself, which is frankly impossible to fathom when you come from San Francisco. But Pacifica is different, y'know?   Anyway.  ------------------------------ First, the turkey sandwich. 5/5 I'm guilty of expecting the meat to be the focus on a sandwich, but in this case the turkey was the filler, which, as a carnivore, is there a better meat filler? Bread, dijon, lettuce, turkey, queso. The dijon did for flavor what the lettuce did for texture, throwing in a twang that kept the sandwich interesting. Its creaminess tag-teamed with the cheese to keep the sandwich in one piece. Great sidekicks. The turkey was... Nothing special. Clean but mundane, for the star of the show was the bread.    Some of you might roll your eyes.  No shiet, Sherlock.  THIS. IS.  A bakery.   Cuz some of you might roll your eyes.  It's just bread.    But this isn't wonder-bread. It's dense. It's got a chew.   The sourdough is minimally sour, hearty, with a thick, hard crust, and made matrimony with the turkey. A lil bit of salt, the slightest tang, tango-ing into a single texture. Those of us who've had an egg sando in Japan understand how the softness of the egg salad made the softness of the bread fundamental. The turkey here wasn't slipping anywhere, though it complimented the meatiness of the bread. This, sandwich, needs, teeth.    I hope you weren't expecting to eat turkey without teeth. Perhaps that's tofurkey you're thinking about.   The crust was hard too. A well supported, almost crunchy hardness, and a far cry from the st-ale pork rind that the free bread in Mont-real would remind you of. I ended up turning the sandwich sideway as if I was enjoying a taco.   The best panera you'll get and a supreme sleeper.   ------------------------------ The second sandwich: 4/5 The sesame studded hoagie, on the other hand, was nothing short of Guns N' Roses. This sub had a KISS of intensity from the seared meats, a KISS of spice from the mayo and capocollo, a KISS of sharpness from the provolone, and a single leaf of romaine to give that little crunch and freshness, so you can tell your mom that you ate your veggies. There's going to be a rock concert in your mouth. With each element in a bit to prove their existence, it ended up being too intense for us. With these all being strong flavors, it's amazing that you could still taste everything. And they work well together. It's just that your taste buds will send an SOS, walking out of a Black Sabbath concert feeling a bit drained, like Spongebob breaking down after working the tables at Squidward's five star restaurant. The crustiness of the roll, the studded texture of the sesame, the meat escarpment slipping out, you will have no more desire for thee. Water. Something to cleanse the mouth.   If you're one of those among us who gets sweet emotions eating curry without naan or rice, this could be your bad medicine.   * Keep it simple, stupid.

FOOD: 9/10 COFFEE: 8/10 SERVICE: 8/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 FOOD: 9/10 I love getting an Avocado Toast from here. Their sourdough is thick and yummy. They lather the toast with a lot of Avocado, so you definitely get what you pay for. I love their generous sprinkle of everything but the bagel seasoning! I love their pastries as well. No notes. No comments. Honestly, just really good, no matter what you pick. Just know, they definitely sell out for sure! COFFEE: 8/10 I've tried 2 different crafted lattes from here and thought they were decent! I ordered a standard Iced Vanilla Oatmilk Latte, and it was okay! It was neither the best I've ever had. I do like how I can taste the espresso shot, and the drink wasn't too milky. I also tried their Seaside Shakerato (I think that's what it's called, I forgot) and that was yummy! I loved the salted caramel taste, but the drink was slightly too milky and sweet for me. I would still get it again, haha. SERVICE: 8/10 Service is pretty standard out here and straightforward. AMBIANCE: 8/10 The space is simple, but the view of the open kitchen, along with the display of freshly baked pastries and loaves of bread, really adds to the ambiance. There's a good amount of indoor seating, though it can fill up quickly in the mornings. Thankfully, they also have outdoor seating available.

It's really one of the only Chinese style bakeries around the area so this is the one I typically would go to. The baked goods are decent. It's not any of the best I've ever had but it does satisfy the cravings. They also serve milk tea there or you can also ask for Yin Yang, which is 50% coffee and 50% milk tea. The service is OK the staff there collect your money and get you on your way so really nothing to complain about there. The bake shop and ambience is that of a typical Chinese style bakery you walk in and you grab your tray along with the tongs and you pick out the specific pastries that you want, and you put it on the plate and give it to the staff person at the front near the counter. That's also where you can get your egg tarts and other type of goods such as the more fresh pastries with meat in inside like a cha siew bao. If you pay with cash is cheaper as I believe they charge a surcharge when you pay with credit card. Parking is easy because it is just part of the big plaza area with plenty of parking.
