This place is so inconsistent with the time the food is phenomenal. But they close at the whim of someone's notion in the back kitchen. If they were actually open, they would do better, but apparently the owners must come for money because they don't give any regard to their customers. The much anticipated opening of Pacific Pizza and Brew was something of a fizzle. The pizza crust was ok, a little blasé in the middle but decently crunchy on the outer edges. The sauce was probably the best part, not hugely noteworthy but pretty good. The toppings were OK, albeit pretty sparse. I ordered a double pepperoni and had to ask the apparent owner/manager if it was truly a double and was made correctly. The response was "yeah, they don't put much on usually". I'm not sure who the "they" is that the owner/manager was referring to, other than his employees! Also the pepperoni had a slight salami flavor to it - reminiscent of that nasty stuff over at Jackson's Corner. First time visitors would be encouraged to order a lot of different toppings to make it interesting, otherwise you're going to be bored. Finally, we were getting ready to go and a young lady asked if we would like our pizza boxed up. We said that would be great. Quite a while later, we found the self-service tin foil and packaged up the remains ourselves while she entertained the rest of the kitchen staff. I'm giving them quite a bit of leeway for opening day jitters, but here's hoping they can improve things a bit! Better pepperoni, a crispier and more flavorful crust, and more toppings (excluding cheese) would go a long way. Oh, and a bonus star for having a most excellent beer selection! The draft beer selection is just outstanding! Go for a beer or two and have a snack. Just don't get your hopes up if pizza is your main goal. read more

Excellent pizza, good crust. Also got the wings dry with bbq sauce and bleu cheese on the side. Wings were a little dry and overcooked. Also, got the kale salad with chicken. Love Love Love this place! The pizza/ food/ beer is the BEST in Bend- and the service is as well! The servers and the owners go above and beyond to make sure you have the best meal possible. Having small children going out to dinner isn't always the easiest, but this place makes it easy and fun with coloring materials and drinks that kids love. Food comes out fast and there is always someone close by, even when your kid screams - they will come to check make sure you are all ok :) One thing I have also noticed is the place is always clean, even the bathrooms. Waited 30-40 mins for a table. Understandable we were there on a Friday night and we had a group of 9 including 3 kids. But after we sat, we were forgotten - another 45 mins before our server took our orders despite trying to get her attention to cue we are ready to order. Meanwhile, one of us in our party volunteered to assist one of the drunk, elderly old lady who collapsed into our friend's arms walking through the entrance of the restaurant. I can see any patron getting upset about being knocked over by a stranger but instead, my friend offered to help this poor lady. This should have been the job of the restaurant staff. Where's the manager? Supervisor on duty? The captain of the bar who served her too many a drinks. Yes, my friend isn't obligated to help but no one came or call the ambulance. The poor lady doesn't even know where she was. After the medic and ambulance eventually arrived, my friend finally sat down (table finally ready), less than 3 mins later, the buss girl spilled ice cold water all over my friend's pants and my boots. It's almost freezing outside. My friend smiled and excused that young girl, found rags to help her mop up the mess she made all over the table and floor. Manager finally appeared after what seemed forever. He thanked my friend for all the help with the drunken patron. Offered us a couple plates of meatballs to be shared among 9 of us hungry souls. We were celebrating a great event so everyone was in good spirits and dismissed the negative vibes we've had since our party walked through the doors. BUT, as he delivered his speech about his lost drunken patron, our waitress walked away.... we just lost our opportunity to order!! The kids are starving it's past 9pm! My order was messed up but i appreciate the waitress reversed the order and made it right although we were already lost for appetite by the time it was sent. What we walked away to everyone's astonishment was a slAp of 18% service charge on our tabs. Despite all that we did for them and what they did for us. One of us had a partner who work in F&b. Tonight were having a good time until pacific pizza and brew really messed up. we got our food and were enjoying it until someone in our group who is highly allergic to vegetables had a bell pepper in their meat pizza. we then told our waitress who responded to our concern with "in a perfect world sir". that was extremely rude and that obviously showed that she cared nothing about our concerns. we then all finished our not good dinner and asked the waiter if we could pay. she gave us our check and we had to pay 24 dollars in automatic gratuity and we didn't get good food or good service whatsoever one person from our group then went to the owner and was very rudely dismissed and you could tell that the owner and staff didn't care at all. we were then rudely cussed at which was extremely unprofessional and that is not a way that you should treat customers. personally i don't think that a customer should be cussed at, dismissed and yelled at. the owner was doing all of this as well and that is not at all setting a good example to the staff and as we all could tell the owner had definitely already done. to sum up this review my whole group and i felt very disrespected, dismissed, uncared about and we all left shaking. i am very sad that this is how our visit to pacific pizza and brew had to end so very poorly. all that i can say is that we will not be coming back here for a extremely long time. read more

UPDATE: Instead of looking at where they may have letdown customers, who paid $157 to be served mediocre pizza that wasn't prepared as we ordered, the management at Pacific Pizza & Brew blamed us for being unhappy. Apparently, their way to handle a negative review is to bash the customer. I am so disappointed. We have gone to Pacific Pizza several times and take the good with the bad. The service is usually "hit or miss" and the food is typically average. However, the location is convenient, the atmosphere is pleasant and they have a gluten free crust that my Bride really enjoys. Now for the facts of our most recent visit... For a bit of background to give the proper perspective - I have a very strong dislike for vegetables. I understand that mistakes can sometimes occur when quality control is left to "minimum wage" workers who have not been properly trained and management lacks the care or ability to set standards. When I visit Pacific Pizza and Brew, I always order the black olives on the side. My experience has taught me that it will likely be a disaster if I get hem on my Pizza. Apparently, in the words of the owner, "the vegetables are in a line and sometimes they get mixed up!" However, when I get an "all meat" pizza and bite into a hidden bell pepper, it absolutely ruins my meal. When I told the waitress about it, she replied with "in a fairy-tale world, everything would be perfect!" That left me a bit annoyed, but figured she was likely tired of being questioned about the poor efforts of the kitchen. However, when I got the check and saw that I was paying 24.00 in mandatory gratuity, because we are a family of seven, I figured a conversation with the owner was appropriate. When I told the owner about my experience, he said, "this is odd, I'm not sure why a random bell pepper is an issue. Mistakes happen and I can't figure out why it is a big deal." Found this place from a Yelp search for pizza and beer. I was quickly seated outside on athe patio at a high table. Really nice space on a great evening. Ordered a beer while I was looking over the menu. Somehow my beer order was over looked, as I had multiple staff members check on me. Ordered my pizza and got my beer delivered. Wasn't too worried about the mix up as in no hurry. My lizza came and it was amazing! Ordered a 2nd beer and it was delicious too. The pizza here was delicious. Being from Portland I was looking for a good wood-fired oven- thin crust like Kens artisan style pizza place. We went on an extremely busy Saturday night at 6pm and there was a large party of 16 and 20 ahead of us. Surprisingly we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. Yeah, I will not be eating here again. I am so disappointed with my recent experience. We went during the lunch hour, for a colleagues birthday, and had to take our food to go since it took OVER an hour just to get our food on the table (it really wasn't even that busy). To start, myself and another member of our party ordered the Humm kombucha. When out drinks arrived it was not kombucha but Beer. I didn't not mind and laughed it off, but in retrospect, I should have been much more upset. My child drinks kombucha, if I would have ordered that for him and it would have beer, we would have had a HUGE problem!!! Not to mention we ended up getting charged for the beer we DID NOT ORDER. EVERY pizza brought to the table was burnt and one pizza, with a very simple topping change, came out burnt AND incorrect. I have always thought pacific pizza had some if the best pizza in town. We choose to have my daughters birthday celebration there and we planned ahead knowing it would be a busy weekend. Reservations were made in advance for 12 of us. When we arrived the place was packed but I wasn't worried since we had a reservation. UNTIL the greeter said we are sorry someone made a mistake and we don't take reservations after 5:30 but we will seat you within 10 min. Another big party walked in behind us and they took our table. When we said something to the greeter she was beyond rude! She ended up arguing with the server and refused to own her mistake. We were seated after 35 min. No apologies from the owner or manager. We have a lot of other choices in town and won't be going back. read more

We really liked it here. We went yesterday and it was delicious. Beautiful open atmosphere. We sat at the bat, and the bartender gave the wrong beer to someone so he gave it to my boyfriend for free. We had the BBQ chicken pizza. Was a little pricey $20 for a 14" but the crust was delicious, crunchy, perfect amount of cheese and sauce. He gave us samples of wine on tap (who knew you could have wine on tap??) And a couple beer samples. Our bartender was awesome, personable and not overly talkative. So I've been here twice now, the first time was opening week and they didn't have table side service. Who opens a restaurant without table side service? Instead we had to order our meals at the front desk, not a huge deal, just didn't make sense. Next, we placed our order and it took well over 30 minutes for us to get our meal. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was opening week. The food was pretty good in my opinion but I'm also not a picky eater. We returned today, about 3 weeks ago, and unfortunately not much has changed. They do have table side service now and our waitress was really nice, however we ordered right away and here I am sitting here almost an hour later and still no food. We ordered one small pizza and 2 sandwiches. We told our waitress to just pack ours to go because we have to be somewhere soon but that was about 15 minutes ago, and still nothing. We already paid so we are obligated to wait but this is kind of ridiculous. The waitress said she's done all she can but there are still "QUITE a bit of tickets ahead of you." This is by far the best pizza in Bend. Yes, I've eaten at Mondo. But Pacific Pizza is fresher, cleaner, and more innovative. The texture of the dough is like a crusty loaf of french bread. It is the closest we have found to Pizzeria Mozza (owned by Mario Batali and Nancy Silverton), which is the standard all pizzas should be held to! My favorite is the chorizo pizza, which has white crema, Oaxacan cheese, cilantro, fresh tomatoes, shaved onions and chorizo. DELISH! My husband likes the torta sandwich (super spicy) or the meatball. The torta is more intricate and they leave all the seeds on in the jalapeno, so watch out. The meatball is straight forward, but their meatballs are smooth and generously sized, and it's made with lots of melted cheese on a hoagie. I love that they have skinny fries, and their ranch has a great buttermilk taste. Might be made in-house. Their side salads are nice and large and they put things like candied figs and sunflower seeds on them. Much better than your average garden salad. Service is friendly and efficient, and pretty fast for a pizza place! They were good about refilling drinks. The decor and ambiance feels very California, which we like! It's open and industrial, with concrete floors, high ceilings and an airy, cool vibe. The pendant lamps over the bar are a gorgeous turquoise glass and they are set into a steel bar. I totally wish I could get them for my house. In the summer they can open their roll up doors and make the whole restaurant sort of indoor/outdoor. They have a decent selection of beers and some interesting cocktails. My favorite coffee drink is a dirty hippie (Chai with a shot of espresso), and they have that in an alcoholic form. What an awesome brewpub and pizzeria. Came here after my brother kept recommending we try it out. This new modern building with natural wood and metal has a large dining room and patio area and could easily accommodate our group of nine. Big shout out to Ally our server. She was exceptional. Friendly, funny and fast handling our drink and food orders accurately and getting refills on drinks timely. If you are luckily you'll get her as your server. Nice selection of craft beers from a variety of venders. The menu also has some delicious salads on it. The Cobb with salmon was outstanding. The spinach very good and both were large enough to share. Prices $10 - $13. We tried several appetizers. The garlic fries came with a variety of dipping sauces and we recommend them. The meatballs were good a little on the spicy side. The garlic bread with marinara sauce also recommended. Prices of appetizers $6 -10. Pizza menu has a lot of choices and were reasonably priced. The pizzas arrived quickly and had a nice crust more thin than not. The toppings were high quality and fresh. This location can be hard to find. Siri will get you into the Westside Safeway parking lot. It is part of that complex but is about 100 yards south of Safeway and Starbucks off of Century Drive. Parking is pretty good. Overall a great new addition to eateries in Bend. Give it a try. read more

We stopped in randomly for an early dinner when we noticed they had a great patio area & happily welcomed kids. We have a 6 month old & 4 year old. We sat out on the patio area, loved the atmosphere & the openness of the roll up doors to the restaurant. Definitely kid friendly. They provide tons of project paper, crayons & sidewalk chalk for the kids. We ordered: - Pepperoni & Sausage pizza - Meatball sandwich w/ salad - 2 Beers Altogether about $50 +Tip Food was good, great beer selection! We saw some other orders come out & we want to try the cheesy bread & chicken wings next time. Also maybe a more "adult" pizza too (more veggies LOL) Service was descent, they were packed & training new people. That's tough, but they were trying hard. I had been holding off trying this place as I've heard mixed reviews around town. After a friend gave me her approval i decided to stop in after a day on the Mt. While it was lacking the west side Bend ambiance you might expect (more like a caffeteria) they were fairly busy, unexpectedly whole pie wait times were only 15 min, which is really good. Unfortunately we didnt have the time to sit down and opted for the by the slice option. My girlfriend and I are vegetarians, which is how we ran into trouble. On the counter a warming case presented 2 chz pizzas, another with meat, and one with peperoni. I asked the girl behind the counter if they ever made veg combo slices. She replied sorrily that they almost never did. "No problem," I said. "Is there any way we can just add a couple toppings to a chz slice?" I asked. She then informed me that last time she did that her manager yelled at her, so she doesn't do that any more. Well shucks, no quick slices from them on the way home. It seems to me that we are not the minority in a health conscious town such as Bend... Maybe they will consider veg slices in the future. We went to pacific pizza and brew after a crazy day of skiing. It was packed with large groups. We were a small group of 3. They seated us pretty quickly and our server was very nice. Our breadsticks came pretty straight away but our pizza was delayed more than expected. The owner recognized this right away and comped is a pint of beer. He was great.
