"But," he offered, "you can use the $180 toward the purchase of a new model." Instead of doing that, I watched a single youtube video about fridge repair, then bent down to look for the part of the fridge that was making the obviously broken-sounding high pitched whine, then googled its part number and bought a new one for $45. That fixed it, instantly. I didn't even need a screw driver. So their business model, it seems, is to half-ass the repair in order to lock you in, and then they sell you a new one for much more money than you'd pay elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised if they then refurbish your old one and sell it on the side.

It wasn't labelled. Shelves were fairly empty with no information that would help a buyer posted anywhere. When there was a sale person they wandered around without looking at me. Finally asked for help and a salesman came out from the back. He had to consult his phone to see which one I needed, which I get but doesn't make me feel like they know their products. Said it would be over a month to wait for the install, which was weird as the store was empty. On the way out someone asked if I found everything I needed. Where was he on the way in? Same place, just didn't offer to help me. Feels like a dying big box store. Stay away. Let's hear it for smaller retailers where the employees know their product AND have customer service skills.

It could use a different business name or something. I posted the screenshot below. 1. The machine is having board issue due to you bypass the safety check on the machine without permission. And you broke the machine, now it is not only could not spin dry, but also could not wash. The machine is totally damaged at this point due to your work. 2. For the first visit, you did not provide the estimate 30 mins before the appointment. The fact is that we waited 1 and half an hour since the appointment time. And get no calls or messages. Then WE called your office, then find out he could not attend the appointment due to the previous work was stilling on going. Then we rescheduled the second appointment. So there is 30 mins before notice or anything for the first visit. For the second one and third one, WE called 30 mins before the appointment to make sure, since we did not get any calls. If you believe your company is doing what it is doing, then you need to do a better job on employee training. 3. Up to the third visit, you could not fix the machine, and it is normal to challenge your diagnostic work plus you totally broke the machine at the third visit. It is quite normal to challenge your ability at this point. 4. The "Heavy load" your technician claimed is 2 shower towels, 3 hand towels and 2 kitchen towels. I have my tenant records the washing process and what the load is. 5. You as a man walk into a woman's face and telling her that she is not normal when she is calling your company to complain about the service. We called Mass Appliance Masters to fix a coin-op washer. They missed the first appointment with no heads-up, told us that they could not make it ONLY after we called. They diagnosed "belt and engine" issues and collected $195, but the machine is still broken and won't spin at the end (clothes are soaking wet every time). During the third visit, the technician tried to blame the failure on "overloading" a load that literally consisted of 2 shower towels and 3 regular towels. Instead of owning up to their failed repair, the technician got aggressive, acted totally bossy, and told me directly that "you are not normal." and ask if I were the technician or he is Taking $195 for a broken machine is bad enough, but insulting customers is crossing the line. The cost and service were very reasonable, Vlad is professional and willing to discuss proper operation/consumer service (cleaning, kind of detergent, etc) which is as important as being able to do repairs. (Lesson learned, if I don't hear from a service contracted to do work, try and find their number if not done in advance and call them.)

I called to initially schedule the appt. and the scheduler let me know that it's $139 for the diagnostic fee but if I have service performed, SRB will waive that fee. I confirmed this twice. I was charged for both the service and fee, which I said went against what I was told. He said I misunderstood, and I was forced to pay the high amount. Multiple staff members verified that waiving the $139 fee with service is in fact the policy and the manager would listen to our recorded call to confirm.
