    A little history first, my family has been working with Tri-City Sales for greater than 25 years…read more We always had great service and products. Recently had a need for a couple of new appliances. The day of the first delivery the service folks refused to take our old microwave. The salesperson told me they would so I stopped the delivery. The salesman called me back and told me they would return to our house and do everything that was promised to me (take the microwave). The truck was sitting in front of my house. The salesperson (owners son) said they would be back in four hours. I told him the truck is in front of the house and he said too bad, I would say that was the definition of poor service, but wait, it gets better. The owner called me back and talked me into taking the order. This time they used a private company to make the delivery. At that time I would say the service/delivery folks were great. BUT THEN, here we are six weeks later, returning home from a two week vacation and find the hot water hose to the washer machine has been leaking at the connection to the washer. The hardwood floors in the laundry room are all buckled and ruined, the water came through the first floor ceiling. Tri-City agreed to send a service technician to the house today between 11am and 1pm. He allegedly was here and I wasn't. Our security cameras show that he was here, parked in my driveway at about 10:50am and was gone about 10:55am. I was in my back yard talking with my neighbor. I called asked them to come back, the service department is not responding so I ended up with the owners son again. He said they would call and reschedule. To top this off they put the blame on the delivery company they use. The delivery company called me up and refused to send anyone out and said they did not do this job. WE WILL NEVER USE TRI-CITY SALES AGAIN. Really a shame they have fallen apart the way they have. I guess I will have to hire someone to fix the washer machine and hire a contractor to make repairs. They need to stand behind the products and services they provide.

    Okay. The technician fixed the Goodman system and the AC is working. It is definitely not cheap…read more The total cost before discount (10%) is over $1500. I had to find the discount on their website separately because they do not offer to me automatically. I am not happy with the communication and the thermostat replaced. It is a rental property. Unlike other companies I used, I never received a call 30-60 mins before the technician arrived. So I was not sure if he showed up or not. Whenever I called the company, I was talking to the teams handling customer service, not the technician directly. So there is always a middle man between the tech and me to translate information. The diagnosis was on Wednesday. I approved the quote right away after I received it. The repair was the next Thursday 8 days later. The appointment was initially scheduled for the morning between 9-12. I then got a call to say he could not make it on time and would be there around 1pm. I got a tenant message to say he still did not show up at 2:30PM without any call to inform he would be further late. What I am most disappointed is the new thermostat installed during this repair! He replaced my old programmable thermostat with a new FocusPro N100 Non-Programmable Thermostat 1H/1C. When every household is switching to a smart thermostat, he installed an ancient manual controlled thermostat! I would appreciate he could give me some option to select different types of thermostat. I would have no problem to pay for something better or even buy a smart thermostat myself. I called the company to complain about it. All I got was it is fully functional and it is more modern than my old programmable thermostat! I could not be more disappointed about this. Despite they fixed my AC, I do not feel comfortable to use this company again and to recommend it to anyone else if this is not addressed.

I contacted Home Pro and got a very quick response from David. Within 30 minutes of his arrival, David had diagnosed the problem as a faulty door switch. Unfortunately, the part had to be ordered but within 48 hours, the part arrived and David was back at my home to complete the repair - with a savings of more than $125 off the LG offer. David is professional and very respectful of my home. The first thing he did when he arrived was to put on "hospital booties" to protect my rugs. That attention to detail plus his ability to diagnose / repair in a timely manner is reason enough to recommend Home Pro. Kathy

    My LG washer didn't drain anymore. Living in Newton, I called Home Pro Appliance on a Sunday, and…read morethe repair person came within an hour and a half exactly when expected. He quickly assessed that the drain pump was not functioning correctly. He gave me a honest quote, and he asked if I wanted to make the repair. After discussing with my wife, we agreed to get the washer repaired. He had the part with him and got to work to replace the part. In addition to making the repair well, he spent time to check that the washer worked after replacing the part and that it did not leak before closing the washer up. He then moved back the washer in place even though I am the one who moved the washer in the first place. He gave me a 1-year warranty on the repair as he used a genuine LG part. He was professional and courteous. I would definitely call Home Pro Appliance again for any appliance problem.
