My 4-year old Samsung French Door Fridge has gone to appliance heaven. Fridges are suppose to last 10-15 years. Do your research, stay away from Samsung appliances. I came to Best Buy and purchased a Whirlpool French Door fridge. The entire process was smooth from beginning to end. I brought my iPad so that I can research as I shopped. Their was no pressure, and they were able to price match my fridge. I did need to show that the price match was the same cost to ship to my zip code. Pretty reasonable request. Overall, I was able to lower the price by $400. I paid $175 for the 5-year warranty. They hauled my old fridge and installed my new one 5 days later. Free haul and delivery was on time. I am one happy camper. After comparing prices with Sears, Lowes, and Home Depot, this place offered the best deal. read more

Wish I could write 2 separate reviews on this one, so I'll give them 3 stars. 5 stars for the customer service in the store. David Martinez was awesome. We wanted an open box Samsung Washer and Dryer, but we were waiting to see how much our home warranty company was going to give us to purchase a replacement washer since ours was leaking and cost too much to repair. We came in on Saturday afternoon and David held it for us until Monday afternoon. Unfortunately, the open box dryer was damaged, so we ended up selecting another Samsung dryer in onyx. Beautiful!!! 1 star for the delivery service because they called me 30 minutes before arriving to my house giving me time to get home. I get that delivery is FREE and that they had 20 deliveries that day, but they didn't even unwrap my dryer! The delivery guy was going to dump it in the middle of my garage, but I insisted that he at least put it next to the washer. I am a tiny Filipino lady...who does that? Does it look like I can move a dryer all by myself? The least they could have done was take it out of the packaging. So rude!!! Were they rushing to get somewhere else? Lunch perhaps? Not quite sure how I am going to manage to remove the bottom part of the packaging without calling for reinforcements. They almost didn't haul away the old set too. I had to remind them to take it. Mid of August we got a set of washer and dryer from the Union City store in California and set up delivery for August 22nd, both machines came COMPLETELY damaged and the washer not working. We try to solve the problem over the phone but no results, so we during COVID, we have to get back to the store, this time we as to return/pick up the washer and we choose another washer, we also EXPLICITLY request to do not damage the new appliance. Last Saturday, September 5th, guess what?! A phone call saying our washer was damage AGAIN. Right now over 2 weeks without being able to wash anything because there are no professionals capable of delivering appliances without destroying it. We call again and they want us to go back at the store, we don't have no more time to lose because unprofessional services. This review is solely for our experience with Wing. We went in looking to replace the range/oven that had broken on Thanksgiving of all days. After researching some reviews, I went in with some models in mind that I wanted to consider. While I understand that certain models come and go and are discontinued and that there are latest and greatest models, there are certain functionalities that I most likely wouldn't make use of. I was very impressed that Wing was able to LISTEN to what we were looking for and recommended a model that wasn't even in the showroom which was exactly what I was looking for functionality and aesthetic wise. Listening is a rare quality when many sales people just want to push the more expensive models but is so important to turn them into repeat customers and referrals for new ones. So ask for Wing the next time you're looking to buy. Unfortunately the delivery/installation company they contract out to may be a different story based on many of these 1 star reviews. Lets hope that goes just as smoothly but if not, maybe they might want to reconsider contracting with someone else that won't drag down their ratings. read more

Reading the rather mediocre reviews of other Pacific Sales stores this place fits right in. The selection was good, the prices were right but the annoyance factor made me wish I'd ordered online from Amazon. Everything went smoothly until it was time to pay, they had flyers all over the store advertising 12 months same as cash and I always like to pay that way.They also told me I could have 18 months same as cash if I opened a Best Buy credit card. Well that was a disaster, after about 35 minutes of the Pacific Sales guy trying to figure out how to open a Best Buy card for me I gave up and told them to use their own financing. Somehow or another they fouled that up too!!! After about an hour of this foolishness I called a stop to the procedure and gave them my credit card and just paid for the damn thing. I believe you may think you are doing your job by replying back to everyone who complains on this page (and there are a lot of us) but it produces no resolutions, since no one ever replies back from that email address you give out. Do us a favor and stop pretending you are helping with empty directions and useless info. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -0 STARS! After I made it perfectly, finitely, absolutely clear that I needed my refrigerator delivered on a specific date, due to my tight schedule, I was promised it would be delivered without a hitch. Wouldn't you know it? I still run into one of the worst kind of frustration: incompetent and unprofessional delivery company. Not only did I have to contact PSKH Union City to get a delivery time on delivery day (because they did not call me the night before, like they were supposed to), but, a half an hour before the end of the time frame, they called to say that they were running behind! They said the delivery time they could guestimate is AFTER 10:30PM, 3-4 hours behind schedule. But the caveat is that the delivery guys are "tired after a long day" so they are trying to reschedule for tomorrow, with no given time frame. I have to wait for that, she says, unapologetically. Obviously, I ask for delivery tonight and am told they'd call back. An hour later, I track down Hashem Abouremeleh, my sales rep and the supposed manager of PSKH Union City, who tells me it's beyond his control, as they are a contracted company AND that he had WARNED me before of complaints from other customers about their service. Basically, his resolution was to give me the number of the warehouse and the warehouse manager's name, Stacey Holly. Never have I been told to go track down my own $2,000 purchase! Holly listened to my frustrations but managed to repeat what I have already heard a dozen times: they are running behind schedule. That I figured out myself, without help. Again, I ask for delivery tonight and am told she'd call back. Over an hour goes by and she calls to say that my fridge will get delivered tonight between 10PM-10:30PM. Her attitude was not apologetic but that I should be grateful. Like she's doing me a favor! To add insult to injury, at 10:30PM, they DID NOT show up. At some point their inability to serve the customer should be a part of their performance evaluation with corporate. I cannot emphasize enough how much more stress this experience has added to my already stressful lifestyle. I wasted my valuable time, rescheduling my whole entire day. I have absolutely no confidence in Pacific Sales Kitchen Home due to their lack of accountability and respect for the customer's time, on top of being deceitful and forcing the customer to get so involved in tracking their purchase. I would not recommend this. My wife and I bought a washer and dryer here, and in all honesty got a good price on the appliances. The salesman, Thomas, told us in order for their team to install the appliances we would basically have to buy hoses, flex vent kit, and a plug from them; I understand. I also explained to him that our home was built in the '40's. I made arrangements to be off from work for the install and when the install team arrived they told me they could not install the dryer because I needed to install another part prior to them getting there. I understand where they were coming from but it was never at once communicated to me BEFORE being made to purchase all these additional parts. So now, I basically had to pay for all these parts upfront in order for them to do the install but they won't do the install. I spoke to Ashley with their customer service and tried to explain what was going on and she was very rude and kept cutting me off telling me she was going to call the store. I was under the impression that if you call CUSTOMER service they would want to SERVE the CUSTOMER. She tried to rush me off the phone but I asked to speak to her supervisor, who was nice but basically told me there is nothing he can do. I would advise you to just go to another store, it is not worth the headache dealing with this company and I am sure you can find better customer service elsewhere. Had a washing machine emergency, and after researching what was available near our home, we ultimately went to our go to store, Pacific Sales. I have to say their service is exemplary, and the saleswoman Kat was helpful on the features of various brands. She never pushed us to get a machine with more than we were looking for. Pacific Sales is owned by Best Buy. Overall, this ended up being the best place to buy our new fridge and washer/dryer set. The selection is quite good (it's still tough to find some of the best Consumer Reports rated models, but that's even more true everywhere else), and the prices were the lowest we could find without buying on-line. The sales reps were also helpful without being pushy. Delivery went smoothly, and all the items have performed well. Unfortunately, they neglected to record our Best Buy Rewards number on the purchase, so I had to call them to have that info added, which they were happy to do. The points did show up after the return period (which is apparently a standard delay), but they did not count toward Silver Premier status, even though the items we bought were advertised in the Best Buy flyer (with no mention of Pacific Sales). I escalated this issue to Best Buy management, but they only gave me a $10 reward voucher for the confusion/inconvenience. So be aware of this limitation when you buy from Pacific Sales. read more

This is based soley on the delivery logistics. Their dispatch/scheduling is terrible. I know there is a better way! I purchased my washing machine on a Friday. They said the earliest it can be delivered is the next Tuesday. I said that won't work... I'd like it to be delivered THURSDAY. which is TWO DAYS AFTER THEY ASKED... so, don't you think, that they would give me priority? I called on Wednesday to confirm my time FRAME for Thursday and they said it was on the truck to be delivered to me at some point this very day on Wednesday. !?!?!?!? WHAT?!?! No one authorized for delivery on Wednesday!!!! I said Thursday and they said, no... the delivery truck had already been scheduled for the entire day. How is that possible, when I requested Thursday. They didn't tell me that over the phone on Tuesday night! They really don't know which end is up! I asked to speak to a manager about 4 times throughout the week. I never spoke to him/her. I never got a call back. I never got a voicemail. Not so much as an apology. I cleared my calendar for Thursday, for nothing. Thursday was not doable. What a WASTE of TIME, if they would only pick up the phone and call me to inquire as to what DAY would work best. We finally settled for Delivery for FRIDAY. (ONE WEEK LATER) so... I ask for a TIME FRAME... In which none can be given. I asked the lady very politely.... CAN YOU ASK YOUR BOSS FOR TIME OFF, WITHOUT ANY NOTICE?!?!?! She replied, No. Well, I just can't walk out of my office, unexplicably. I need to give some time frame, some kind of time, WITHIN REASON! Friday comes, and I get a 1/2 hour notice that they are coming. That's nice. I really appreciate having to excuse myself out of a meeting, drop everything, and tell my boss, BYE... that I am leaving early on a Friday. DOES NOT LOOK GOOD! It has been two weeks, I have yet to recieve any phone call or a voicemail, just stating, that they are SORRY for the inconvenience. I'm returning the favor, by typing this post. A simple apology or a short communication goes a long way. They fall short. On a positive note, the salesman and the deliveryman were very nice and for that, they get one star each. We purchased a Samsung High Efficiency washer and dryer set this past weekend and we love the set. Not problems. A few days later we purchased pedestals for the set and that's where the problem happened. It was delivered within the 4 window timeframe BUT both were scratched and the legs on both pedestals were bent, which would have caused the units to wobble when operated and not sit evenly when resting. When we spoke with the sales associate that sold us the units, he was understanding about our concerns. My partner took the day off to wait for the mid day delivery and the products were substandard. The delivery person even asked us if we purchased used items! We fully expect to be compensated for the inconvenience of having damaged items delivered to our home only to not have what we paid for installed. We were told by the sales person he needed to speak with his manager first before he could discount the items according to what my partner and I believe is fair (one of us will have to take time off again for the 2nd delivery this Friday) and are still awaiting his return call. We are hopeful this is just an oversight and not indicative of this company's treatment of its customers. We certainly would not want to take our business elsewhere. read more

I purchased an LG New Pedestal on 2/23/13 for an LG washing machine I bought 2 years ago. After much confusion on the part of Pacific Sales, I finally (almost) got delivery today, March 20. After asking me where I got my LG washing machine, the installer said they would not install the pedestal, because the washer was from a different store. Half of what we paid for the pedestal was to have it installed, and it was a pedestal that matched the make and model of the washer. I was told that it was their policy to not install it, that's all. No further explanation was given, and the policy seems like it's designed to make me buy a new washing machine from them. I was not even told of this policy when I purchased the pedestal. Had they done so, I would have gotten it elsewhere. On that day, we just wanted to try a new place with good prices, but I am never going back to Best Buy again. Their delivery was slow in the first place, due to errors, the policy makes no sense, and I should have been told about their policy at the time of purchase. I came here looking for different ventilation hoods and ended up ordering the Viking Hood. They told me that it was a new item, so it may take a few weeks for the stock to come in. I was fine with that. After about a month and half, I finally got a call to set up my install date. After the confirmation of the install date, I got a call from Jerel, saying he sold me an incorrect item. We were able to fix that over the phone. I never received another call from him nor the installer. I finally called and was informed that my items should arrive in the warehouse by 7/15. I waited another week and was finally set up another install date. The Friday before my install date, I got a call saying my items was backordered. I was upset because I was told that my items had arrived by Jerel. I called the store and Tom answered the phone, he tried to help but there was no notations at all, so he couldn't really help. I was livid! I was so ready to cancel my order, then Tom called me back and informed me that my items had arrived and was sitting in the store! Tom was able to call the installer and had spoken to their supervisor for install on Monday. Sunday evening, I received a phone call from the installer to schedule for Thursday or Friday... not the Monday that I was promised. He was able to schedule for Monday. Tom is a rock star, and he follow through. 3 stars for Tom helping me....I will update after I get my cook top in. read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. We bought an LG refrigerator/freezer 3 years ago at the Union City location through their Pacific Sales appliance section. They sold us into purchasing their almost completely worthless Geek Squad extended warranty. The freezer broke down just a month shy of the end of the extended warranty which is the only "good" thing in this, but it's been like pulling teeth trying to get them to honor their extended warranty that we paid for. The earliest date we could get for repair was for two weeks from when we called. We've been put on hold for hours and repeatedly given the run around trying to resolve the issue. After confirming the appointment several times and receiving email confirmations lo and behold, today was the day and the repair crew hasn't come, no notification either. So we call again and after a lengthy time on hold we find out the repair subcontractor is lying on us claiming that we canceled the appointment. Now Best Buy is saying they will replace rather than repair the refrigerator, we have to wait for another email to schedule another date in the future. Taking it with a grain of salt and I won't hold my breath. read more

Pacific Sales now handles appliance sales for Best Buy and is located in their stores. My wife and I had experience with the Union City store that is out of the ordinary so I am leaving this review. I went to the store because Pacific Sales is listed as a seller of Sub Zero refrigerators. We were in the middle of a horribly botched sale from Airport Appliance in Hayward (see my review in Yelp) and were working on what became a 6 week process to get a refund from them. The cost of the refrigerator was over $11,000 and we needed a refund before buying from another retailer. I took my previous invoice from the botched sale and asked our sales person, Monica if she could match the price. She made a call to get the price and said they could. I told her the whole story of the botched sale and made it clear that I could not buy another refrigerator until I got a refund for the old one. At that point she brought her manager, Ron into the discussion and he thought he could make that work. It turns out they could classify the sale as a "no money down" sale and ordered the refrigerator for me. I got an invoice but I signed nothing. I also told Monica that we were without a refrigerator because Airport Appliance had removed our old one and could not (or would not) return it. She said she would arrange for us to have a loaner. Keep in mind that this store had none of my money. They only had my assurance that I would buy the refrigerator from them when I got my refund. A few days later Monica personally brought two loaner refrigerators to my home in her own truck. I only needed one of them but she brough two just in case one wasn't big enough. As of this writing, we got a refund from Airport Appliance after filing a dispute with MasterCard, paid for the new refrigerator at Pacific Sales, and received our new refrigerator 3 days after that. A crew of three installers who actually work for Pacific Sales did an excellent job. The installation wasn't straight forward. It involved drilling through a slate floor and accomodating a flood sensor. Carlos, the guy in charge took it all in stride and met all of my needs. Less than an hour after they left I got a call from Pacific Sales asking if everything went okay. The reason for this review is to point out that both the sales people, Monica and Ron, and the installation people, Carlos and his crew did things that were not usual with a sale of this type. Straight, over the counter sales are common but this type of flexibility and desire to please is rare and deserves consideration for any would-be consumer. Buyer Beware! I spent 18k on Thermador appliances for my kitchen remodel. When I went in to set a delivery date my original salesperson said the delivery date for 2 weeks later "was no problem" & set it up in the system. Then I spent another 4k on my refrigerator. Then the run around of when I would receive the double oven & cook top began. Finally got everything but the stove top (the main thing I wanted) last week. I won't get the stove top until the end of Sept (& that's not promised) and the vent hood was damaged (obviously dropped) so I won't get that until the beginning of Oct., maybe. The customer service was the worst I have ever seen. The salesperson didn't apologize & gave me an 800#, they could only tell me when it was shipped, but not from where "maybe Korea!!!". Everybody now says it is because it was a "special order". If it was so special, why did I get the other 4 pieces? We got a bundle discount so if we cancel the order & buy it somewhere else we will get charged for the difference. BUYER BEWARE NEVER AGAIN FOR PACIFIC SALES in Union City or anywhere else. Now I will have to pay my contractor and slab guy to come back in 2 months to finish the job. Maybe my kitchen will be finished by Thanksgiving. Today is 8/27. Bait and switch installation. Paid for an install for an OTR microwave for $189 and was told by the installers that $300 additional work would be needed to install. This is after verifying with the salesperson that there was an available power outlet. Installer claimed the outlet was not "in the right place". I had to file a dispute with my credit card to get my money back. Company refused to credit me a refund until the item was "checked back into the warehouse", which apparently takes over 2 weeks. Needed new appliances so decided to do some research. We are so glad we decided to make one more stop at Best Buy before making a final decision. After being bummed out from checkin out Sears, Sears Outlet, and Airport Home Appliances I remember reading some where on yelp to also check Best Buy. Normally I would never go to Best Buy because their stuff is overpriced IMO. For appliances we got a really good deal. We were able to walk around a little bit until a sales rep came to us and ask if we needed help. His name was Wing Leung. We was not pushy at all and was very informative and not pushing us to buy things out of our price range. We told him a budget and we fell right in it. We found our Samsung refrigerator for way cheaper than Sears and it was extra 10% on top of the price. We also found a top loading washer and dryer that was 10% off too. We even decided to get the 4 year warranty on top of the manufacturers warranty. They have a good selection of stuff and the prices are good. We also got free delivery and haul away. I will update my review after items have been delivered to see how that goes. So defin ask for Wing the next time u need help with finding appliances. read more

We needed to replace our dishwasher, so we waited until Labor Day to hopefully get good deals. David Martinez assisted us through the entire process. He's an extremely knowledgable and friendly guy. We did not feel pressured at all from the typical high-pressure sales reps. He went through the entire spectrum of dishwashers, from least expensive to the highest end they carried. He was able to make suggestions based on our needs and budget. He was also very honest about each machine. We haven't had it installed yet, but the entire experience so far was amazing. read more

I went to the Best Buy at Union Landing to look for a dishwasher. Ron Fong from Pacific Sales was great. He showed me the difference between brands and I ended up purchasing a Bosch dishwasher at a great price. The following weekend I drove back to see Ron again and brought my GF to look at a fridge, range & microwave. The store is not close but Ron treated me fairly and he was going to get our business. Ron hooked us up with great appliances at a great price and we couldn't have been happier. The delivery people did a great job and hooked everything up. Ok, I did go through some hiccups but I did get my fridge and am a happy customer at the end. I originally order a new fridge that just came out back in November 2014, since it was a new model, it wasn't in stock but since it is for my new home which was and still is under renovation, I postponed the delivery until March 2015. Pacific Sales actually called me around early Feb and notified me that the fridge was in stock and ready to deliver, but again, I postponed it until March when I eventually moved in the house when I need the fridge. However, the fridge arrived with a dent on the side of one of the door. I rejected the delivery. The delivery crew called the delivery center and said they have another one in stock that they can deliver in the following week so I said ok. One week later, the delivery truck came and when the crew unload the fridge from the truck, it was open boxed with the same dent on the same door at the same location, I was completely speechless. I rejected the fridge, I should say I rejected the same fridge, again. The crew called the delivery center again and they asked if I would consider taking that fridge with a slight discount. I am paying over $3k for this fridge and I want a good looking fridge with no dent so I rejected the offer! But the delivery center said they don't have anymore in stock and I will need to call the store and ask for an ETA. So I called the store and asked to talk to the sales, Tom, who helped me when I ordered the fridge. I told him what happened and he apologized for my inconvenience and said someone must have made a mistake and he assured me he would get me a new fridge without dents. He placed an order for a new fridge and told me to check back with him if I don't hear from him after 1 week for an ETA. I called Tom again after one week as I didn't hear back from him and he said the system was showing they will get the fridge in 2 weeks. He helped me scheduled the delivery in the system 2 days after the ETA and said if anything changes, he'll give me a call. Fast forward 2 weeks, Tom called on the day of the ETA and said they have the fridge and was on track for delivery. I now have a new fridge that does not have dents. I have not connect it to the water supply yet as my kitchen is still under renovation so I can't speak to the ice maker and water function, but otherwise I am happy with the other functions and am very satisfy with Tom's customer service and will definitely go back to Tom to order more appliances! read more

The BEST part: David Martinez is one of the best sales person that I have met, very professional and helping. The purchase experience was fantastic. The WORST Part: Pacific West Installers. Stay away from them if they're assigned as your installers. They came over to replace the OTR microwave and noticed the tapes have come off the vent and were asking $200 plus to replace the whole thing. Called the builders and I was told that to install the replacement Microwave the tapes needed to come off anyway and needed re-taping after installation was done. There was no need to replace the whole vent. These guys probably are either sham or not trained properly to do the work. read more

This place is by far the best place to get your appliances. I have been coming here for years now and have sent my relatives here as well. David and Tom provide excellent customer service. They are personable and make sure you walk out satisfied. Price match, floor model deals , you name it, they will make your budget go all the way. During this visit, I needed a fridge, stove and microwave hood for my rental property in very tight timelines.I got the best deal ever! I was having a field day with the Black Friday deals, on top of that, David made it work out, that I was able to get my appliances before my open house which was the next week. Thank you!! Tom also taught me how to install stove chord and my thermostat. Talk about above and beyond. Delivery and installation service is a 0 though. They were late and did not bring my chord for stove. Bought gas range, refrigerator, dish washer, and microwave oven on Jan 23rd as I saw the deal on bestbuy.com and went to store to see the items before buying. Ismael helped us and matched the prices as on bestbuy.com I was thinking I am buying at Best Buy There was package discount of 10% and free TV offer with purchase of Samsung major appliances totaling $2,499 or more. The TV price was deducted and 10% promotion was applied Thanks to Ismael On 24th we decided to change the order as we want to get different refrigerator and dishwasher and went to store again Tom helped us and updated the order. Tom assured us we can make changes to the items in the order as long as they are not delivered Dishwasher, Microwave, and Gas Range were delivered on 28th. No installation requested so dropped off the items as is in the boxes On Feb 3rd we noticed prices dropped significantly on bestbuy.com website Called store and asked me to come to the store for price match. When went there David was not ready to price match and had all excuses to avoid price match to the current price. Finally gave the refund but didn't give the free TV offer or discount as initial invoice was not clear with prices and discounts in it and told to talk to manager about it Refrigerator was delivered on Feb 3 and installed They did excellent job. On Feb 4 called the store and Hashem was not eager and told to come to story as he wants to go through each item When went to store he was not ready to consider TV offer or discount and finally gave partial discount though at bestbuy.com free TV offer is available Price match is not what Pacific Sales say and stand by it from my experience And better to buy on bestbuy.com as deal is much better I bought at store as I was thinking buying at Best Buy In the invoice the discounts were not clear not only to me but to them too If they can't price match with their own BestBuy prices they should stop advertising price match guarantee read more
