This was my first time here, and if I go back again I'll most certainly do a slow drive by to see if Brenda is working. If I see she's working, or I figure out what car she drives and I see it in the parking lot, I'll just get a hot dog from the nearest Shell gas station. Inside it's small, but appealing and has a good vibe. The set up looks like you should order at the counter and then find a seat. Not the case. Instead, you seat yourself and look over the menu while Brenda looks at her phone on a sofa chair near the front door. I ordered the miso soup and a tuna roll spelled something like Maki Takki. Both were great. The miso soup was hot and perfect. The roll was light and moist like a damp cotton ball in my mouth. After finishing my food I stacked my plates all gentleman like so Brenda could pick them up and still keep her phone in one hand. When Brenda did finally come by she asked, "You all done?" and I replied with a "Yep." Would have told her the food was was great too if she had asked. SUSHI SUSHI SUSHI!!!! We have been eagerly waiting for a quality sushi place in Nampa for years. It is finally here, the Pacific Sushi bar that opened yesterday is an "Excellent" choice. They have a very nice decor with 18 seats at the sushi bar. There is a smaller section in the back area with a total of 3 table (12 chairs) for smaller private groups. There are plenty of tables and chairs in the main area. If the place gets packed there is a small wait area with comfortable couches. We decided to do the "all you can eat" lunch special. We were not disappointed! I saw an only 3 order limit (on the menu" and decided to order this limit item. It was "The Mayor" and I can tell you why there is a limit. It was "SUCHILICIOUS!" It is an absolute must try, bucket list, last thing to do before the zombie apocalypse sushi. Yes, it was that good! Anyways, as you enter the new sushi bar you will notice the calming light blue decor and seating is neatly set up. The staff were very friendly and helpful in all aspects. The chef making our sushi was very meticulous in his presentation of the sushi and personable. He asked how we found out about this new sushi and we told him we have been eagerly awaiting the opening. He takes pride and ownership on how we felt about his sushi and what we thought about the place. We told him we were really pleased with the excellent customer service and the food was delicious. I wish no stars were possible terrible customer service, my group ordered an appetizer for us to share then we all wanted to order. I decided first so I ordered the all you can eat sushi and it turns out the 2nd roll I had I didn't like at all the fish felt warm and slimy and I could eat it, I asked for something different and she refused until I ate what I had at which point I requested to pay for what I've had and leave. Went here for lunch yesterday with my husband. We both did the AYCE. We always sit at the bar and the service is super quick! We love sushi! Our favorite items are The Mayor, the seared tuna nigiri and upside down shrimp. I really like their dinner rolls! So lunch is a little more limited. read more

I have been to this place a few times, and the last time was in May of 2017, with my girlfriend. I wanted her to taste what I remembered as quality sushi...well something happened at this place and the service was rude, inattentive and absolutely lazy! I was embarrassed to say the least. I asked if we could sit at a booth since the place was full of empty, dirty tables (who wants to sit at a dirty table?), but the grumpy waitress rudely snapped, "No! Sit anywhere but that part is closed!" Um...hey, lady, all I see are dirty tables... So we sat at the bar. Mistake. Sun was glaring in our eyes. We moved to a glass tabletop by a window facing away from the sun, then ordered sashimi (over-priced and served with a bagged salad from Albertson's?!), and some other mediocre roll... I was incredibly disappointed. I also felt the staff was more into their basketball game on the television than attending our need: nobody offered a menu, nor were there any staff asking to refill our drinks. When it came time to pay, nobody asked if we were done. No check arrived. I got up and waited for the same rude waitress who seemed put out to do her job (I should note there was one table of two suffering through the same fate, I mean I know she was "swamped"...)...overall: the food was ok. The price was extravagant considering our mistreatment (sorry to interrupt your sports watching), but the service was the worst of my entire life for any restaurant I have ever visited. Ok, I have to ding them 3 points just for the service alone! The last 2 times I have come in the waitress (no name tag) has not even acknowledged me, I seat myself! Then when I sit down she literally hovers over me until I pick a roll (4 minutes last time)! In the meantime, the staff were sitting down and playing video games with that annoying Mario brothers dinging noise and loud rap music through the speakers to boot!! Not one time did the waitress come back and ask me how my food was. To top it off, they are speaking a different language and laughing. Are they laughing at me? Everyone know it's extremely unprofessional to speak a different language in front of a customer. Decent sushi, horrible service. I have been looking for decent sushi place in this area since I moved here from Northern California, I think this could be the most legitimate place yet! I ordered the Godzilla roll. It was not good. Seams like there was canned tuna in it. I couldn't eat it. I asked for a check without causing a fuss and they wanted to charge me extra because I didn't eat it. I got the all you can eat deal for $25 and ate one roll, and one hand roll (neither are very good) but I could not eat the Godzilla roll. When they tried to charge me extra for not eating the whole roll, I politely told the server it was not good and I literally could not eat it. She said nothing and brought me my check with the extra charge. I asked another server if she could help me and she said no. I asked to talk to a manager and he was the only one who apologized but didn't do anything to make a difference for me. Sub par sushi and terrible customer service. I will never return. read more

This is by far the best sushi I have ever had. The staff is friendly and always know what I want when I walk in the door. I am a weekly customer and won't go anywhere else. The sushi is always fresh and the all you can eat price is very reasonable. My favorite for sure!! read more

Hit or miss sushi.. and if you wanna play sushi roulette, I guess this is the place for you. We had never been here before.. waitresses did not explain how all you can eat works.. BEWARE if you do not like the rolls you get and you cannot force them down your throat- your bill WILL be charged for each roll you do not finish. Even if it is clear that you did not like it and a whole roll is left the cashier will just shrug you off. So we paid another 25 dollars because we left "more then 6 pieces" which was 1. Never explained by waitresses and 2. In very tiny letter at the bottom of a sheet of paper. Some rolls were great.. except for the rolls with eel or massive amounts of avocado.. I was so upset that my favorite rolls had been RUINED by this restaurant. Fred Meyer sushi is better than this place AND Freddie's actually puts the right things in each roll. I'm not a huge sushi connoisseur but I do enjoy the basics. This is hands down my favorite sushi place in the valley... BUT I get the same 2 items every time (touchdown roll and upside down shrimp) I like some of the other rolls but these 2 menu items are sooo good, I don't want to waste stomach space on anything else! read more

The sushi here is pretty good. Decently priced as well. Every time we have come in they get the order wrong, they always bring out a wrong roll or don't bring out your entire order. Super annoying. I don't know how you can mess that up when they have paper menus for you to check which rolls you want and they take those with them... this is definitely not my go to spot. read more

This place is awful. We went here about a week ago and I will never go back. First off the service was painfully slow. It took our waitress probably 20 minutes to bring us our salad and miso soups and there was one other table there, so she wasn't overly busy. It was also awkward because there were so many male employees just standing around doing nothing but staring at us while we ate which was just creepy. Moving onto the food...my salad had so much brown lettuce in it I ended up not eating half of it and the miso was so flavorless that we had to pour soy sauce into it. The sushi was no improvement either. My hand roll wrapped in seaweed had so much spicy, mayo based sauce on it that it could've been any fish inside, because I couldn't taste it. The sauce also came squirting out the bottom of the roll when I bit into it cause it had so much on it. The regular roll I ordered was cut so thin it pretty much feel apart when I picked it up and it had this mystery, kind of brown but kind of watery sweet sauce all over it. All in all I would save my money, cause it's expensive too, and buy grocery store sushi before going back here. Not going back here. Ever. read more

I'm not a huge fan. Service isn't the best. We had just sat down and they asked if we needed more time, we said yes and they proceeded to ask us if we were ready every 3 minutes. If the menus are still open it's a good sign that the customer is not ready. The food is just okay, it doesn't taste as fresh as you hope sushi would. Read the great reviews and decided to try it out....mistake. My sister and I went in and were told to sit wherever. Ordered and got our food and drinks fairly quickly. Noticed that the napkins in the holder were damp...ew. The place started getting busy as we were half way through our meal. A larger party came in and since everyone had seated themselves, staggered, the party wasn't able to sit down immediately. The server then had the audacity to ask us to move tables. We only had two pieces left each so we weren't going to be much longer. I couldn't believe it. I won't returning. Go to Sushi Sushi instead next to Costco. If you've ever eaten at IOU sushi locations, then you can expect the same here, absolute garbage! The IOU locations are doing very poorly so they opened up this disgusting restaurant and change their T-shirts. Same staff, same crappy service, new name. They didn't even bother to change the names of the rolls the menus are exactly the same. The tabletops are filthy, the restaurant smells bad, and the food taste like they dug it out of the garbage. Absolute horrible experience coming here to find out it's another imitation sushi restaurant. I predict this one will do just as poorly as the other IOU locations. read more

I would not recommend this place at all. First off - the staff/customer service is a joke. The waitresses grab my drink order and meal, then proceeded to sit in the "waiting area" chairs joking and making small talk the entire time. Anytime they'd get up from the seats, they'd be cracking jokes with the chefs. I also listened to one of the waitresses use profane language. Not professional and completely awkward. Then there's the food - is was subpar. I can go to Shigue Express in Meridian and receive a higher quality food for a cheaper cost. No one checked in on us, and they had to run the card 6-8 times because they couldn't get their system working. Not a great experience at all. read more

YUM YUM YUM!!!! I ate there 4 out of five days after the first time I tried it! The all you can eat is such a great deal, the hand rolls are sooooo good,inside out shrimp to die for and I literally closed my eyes, pointed at something on the menu was never disappointed. The sushi is really good! The rolls are delicious, big portions, fresh! But service SUCKS!!!! The girl that serves is so slow, she just sits in her chair and doesn't check if you want more sushi or anything else. Her outfit is always some type of baggy shirt and sweatpants.
