    Rock-N-Roll and Kyoshi rolls

It was sooo good I almost forgot to take a picture. The staff is always pleasant and we got in right before the dinner rush so it was a great experience for us. Love coming here to enjoy their specialty sushi rolls, so yum!

Yummy! I ate two of the rolls already!

First time here. Pleasant atmosphere and clean. My waitress Darlene is very nice and helpful. There are no appetizers except for soup. Ayce is $31.00. I decided to try anyways (appetizers are usually a must for me) since I was here already. So a lot of the popular rolls come with a sweet sauce over them. The good thing is you can get it on the side or opt out. I'm not one for that but I did taste it and it is not as sweet as other places that do this. Sushi rolls are very yummy! They will make your rolls more spicy if you like it that way. This little gem will be one of my sushi spots. Only have found one other spot that was yummy.

We really enjoy the sushi here! Dare I say best sushi joint in Nampa? Everything is fresh and yummy! Employees are friendly and make great sushi!

I laugh at the bad reviews. This place is a gem. If you want your sushi exactly like you get next to the ocean in California then go back there please...we love Pacific sushi it's tasty and while it's not exactly like other sushi we like it better! The staff are from another local favorite we go to occasionally so the tastes are familiar and fantastic! We always sit at the bar because that's the best service we think. Prices are cheap too! I'm eating a tasty Caterpillar roll as I type!

Sashimi with sweet chili sauce.. why??? rainbow roll with no rainbow... ugh, two star fare

no, no.. no.. I should have known that there was a problem when I ordered the 6 piece sashimi and she asked what kind,.. replying 'Chefs choice' seemed to be a foreign concept to the waitress where she continued to ask what kind...ugh.. Well it came and seems they like to put sweet chili sauce on every piece not understanding the concept of sashimi in the first place.. Had a go at the rainbow roll and surprise theres no 'rainbow' on their rainbow roll.. Miso soup flavorless and disappointing.. Overall.. I love a local business but its a stretch to call this sushi, airport sushi maybe? But its in a suburb of a suburb in Idaho so cant expect much. Shame, we need new places like this to make our city better, this spot however is a swing and a miss...

Pretty big fan of this place. I've read some of the other reviews, and I think a lot of the people who say that they speak another language and how rude it is don't quite understand what it is to be a foreigner in another land. I found in this location, that talking to the waitresses, even if you're not ordering, has helped me understand their situation. Sometimes shyness, and being a waitress don't mix, but I have had the very best, and most attentive service at this location. The chef's are always laughing and having a great time, which translates to me having a great time... even if I don't understand 100% of the language going on. On to the food: #1. This location is in Idaho, land locked state, with no ocean nearby. #2. Transporting even fresh fish, it needs to be flash frozen to be transported. This said, the fish tastes great. The meat doesn't smell fishy, the texture is on point, and they pump out your meal at an even speed for an AYCE restaurant. The quality and cut of the fish is definitely adjusted for a bulk sushi style meal. Where I live in Nampa, it fills my sushi fix just fine. When I want a little higher grade of fish, I definitely go somewhere else, but I definitely pay for it too! I can walk away fat and happy from Pacific Sushi, and my wallet is just a little lighter then what it was.

We drove 2 hours to get here. We are never disappointed. The dinner rolls are the best, but that doesn't stop us from coming at lunch time.

Since the restaurant combines Thai and Japanese cuisine, we were curious to see how everything would come together--and it absolutely delivered. The sushi rolls were large, well-balanced, and full of flavor. The restaurant operates as counter-service, where you order and pay upfront, but there is seating available. We decided to dine in and were still impressed by how attentive and friendly the staff was. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the setup was convenient with fountain drinks, a refrigerator stocked with bottled beverages, and both hot and cold water available. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from traditional Thai favorites to specialty sushi and nigiri, which made choosing tough--in the best way. The crispy chicken stood out as flavorful but unexpected. It's fried and coated in a sweet, tangy sauce with a little kick, served over rice. Not what I imagined, but still very enjoyable. The beef pho was solid. While I personally would've liked a bit more broth, the portion size--especially the noodles--was extremely generous. The highlight, however, was definitely the sushi. If you're someone who loves sushi but has been underwhelmed by many spots in the Treasure Valley, this place is worth checking out. The Ultimate Roll is huge and could easily be shared by two or three people. Overall, Superb Thai Sushi offers great portions, friendly service, and a menu that hits both Thai and sushi cravings. We'll be back.

I come on special occasions and it's been a favorite with those not familiar with asian cuisine. Plenty of vegetable, fruits, seafood, meats and desserts available to pick from. Recently it seems Umi has been closed temporarily multiple times. Hoping they can figure out hours soon so I can return. The overall vibe of the place is very moody but not crazy dark, pricing is on the mid to high end for dinner but the meat choices are worth it.

Sushi, an appetizer, and dessert is included in the price. The add ons for the soup are extensive so you can 100% customize your own bowl. What I see as a down side is that the tables since they have the spots for the hot soup, do not leave any extra room for anything else. Also, you can take leftovers, but you will be charged for extra. $6.99 if you want to take your soup home and then they price anything extra, like from the bar, on how much you get. So I wonder if you can get around this if you bring your own Tupperware.
