I ordered two rolls for takeout and shared them with friends. We all loved the sushi!

Went to AYCE and couldn't finish the rolls, which I knew would lead to me having to pay the difference (no big deal) the staff COMPLETELY embarrassed me and my friend. Came in with my brother and his gf... they got all you can eat and I just ordered 2 small rolls and going to take some home to my hubby and order one to go for him....I took ONE piece of my brothers sushi and they charged me an extra $10 for that!!! The nice enough employees were not eager to fulfill our order in timely and happy fashion. The sushi itself, depending on the amount of time it took to make, should have been fantastic. If I could leave zero stars I would. They scam you. If you went in by yourself you can leave 6 pieces without being charged for an extra roll on the all you can eat. If you go with a party of 12 you only get 6 pieces total for all 12 people or they charge you for an entire roll! Then they argue with you and tell you they will call the police if you don't pay the extra money. What a bunch of fools. IOU Sushi is wayyyy better!! Don't bother with these low lives. read more

We used to be regulars at this place. We had always enjoyed the staff and thought it to be a friendly place. We would typically put down $80 on sushi every other week from these guys. The weekend before this visit we had actually put down over $200 on some take out orders for my daughter's graduation party! Then one evening we stopped in and my sister and I decided we didn't feel we could eat all you could eat so we ordered a single roll each and some edamame to have as an appetizer while we waited for our roll. My husband ordered the all you can eat. Well... needless to say they were extremely slow on serving that evening. My husband's first all you can eat order came out before our appetizer got to us. We continued to wait for the edamame. My husband was slowly eating his sushi because he felt bad we didn't even have our appetizer yet. He at one pointed gave me a bite of his sushi because my sister and I were starving and it was difficult to watch him eat without even our appetizer available. Finally our rolls showed up and another waitress brought the edamame at the same time. Upon leaving we went up to the register to ask for our bills. The lady said our bill total and I was surprised because it was $15 more than normal. So I asked why and she said "Because you ate a bite of his sushi and we saw you on camera. We have cameras all over now and we saw you take a bite so now you have to pay for the whole roll." I explained that we were starving because they had not even brought out our appetizer at that point and my husband was served his sushi- I barely ate a half a piece of the sushi! She said "It doesn't matter you took a bite therefore you pay!" I was speechless. I paid the bill left no tip and have not been back nor ever will. We have found several other much better sushi places in Nampa. read more

These people are crooks ! If you go in, pay with cash and do not feed a 1 year old some rice, from 1 slice of a roll. You'll be charged 12.00. And if you pay with a card and don't tip them. Wow no a/c in a sushi restaurant......sushi and heat don't mix ... walk in and walked out .

I've been toying with the idea of coming to this place for awhile now, but have been reluctant due to my previous experiences with these little fly by night sushi joints (IOU Sushi). Tried it today and it was somewhat better than I expected, but still nothing to really write home about. We ordered 3 of their specialty rolls, one of which was tempura deep fried. The two rolls that weren't deep fried were fairly decent and tasty. Right off the bat though you could tell that this place is an all you can eat sushi joint, as they put about twice as much rice into the roll as they need to for filler. Still, these two rolls did at least taste good. As for the third, deep fried roll, it was not very good at all and was very unpleasant. The first couple of pieces into the roll were literally equal to taking balls of sushi rice and tempura deep frying them and calling it "sushi." They were bland tasting balls of rice with no meat, veggies, or sauce that tasted like nothing more than tempura covering. It was very disappointing. I didn't even see anything in the roll besides rice until about a third of the way into the roll. At the midpoint was the place where the portions of "stuff" other than rice see proportional to all the rice and filler. Overall, not the worst sushi I've eaten, but not the best either. Probably wouldn't eat here again, since I tend to like quality sushi when I'm in a sushi eating mood. There are better places for sushi in the area, you just have to drive a little further to get there. read more

So, this was definitely a hit/miss experience. The AYCE was decently priced: $19 lunch/ $24 dinner. I may go back and try the dinner AYCE, as the lunch rolls were HORRIBLE and the dinner menu had a better selection for rolls. Too much rice on everything as is typical for AYCE, but it was the Rainbow roll that was really lacking. The fish chunks were stuffed inside too much rice instead of sliced thin and draped on top as expected. I wanted to send it back but couldn't, as you have to eat everything you order except 3 pieces. Too many things were smothered in their mediocre sweet sauce, different than eel sauce. The Mayor was good, and the Nigiri was quite good also. We ordered clam, eel, salmon, tuna, mackerel, seared albacore which was all quite good except they should warn you they put dynamite sauce on a few of them without it being notated. (All of us in our party are experienced sushi eaters, but one was extremely sensitive to spice). Weirdly, everything was room temperature to warm, even though everything we ordered but the eel and seared albacore was raw. It is supposed to be quite chilled, even the rice. I am thinking the rice was still too warm when rolled/balled. The San Fransisco roll was the only decent roll we ordered. The other 3 were mediocre to downright bad (ie: crystal shrimp is better elsewhere, rainbow was a no-go, yellowtail was just: eh). Traci Volpi's Simple Sushi that closed in Nampa was FAR superior but more expensive. I would say I would take this over IOU in Nampa/Boise, but still overall under impressed and had so very highly hoped we would finally have a great sushi place in Nampa. We may drop in occasionally, but still have to go to Boise for our weekly fix. read more

Sushi was excellent! The owner provided us with a variety of rolls from cooked to raw. I recommend the Rainbow Roll, Spicy Tuna, Pacific Roll, and the Crystal Roll. Great service and the waitresses were very efficient in checking in with us. Will come again. Come out to Nampa and give it a try! read more

Servers are kind and funny, all you can eat is quick to your table and does not compare at all to IOU sushi. Pacific sushi does not load the rice on the roll like other all you can eat places. Will definitely return and encourage family and friends to try. read more

They definitely need to work on their customer service. One afternoon, I decided to take my 6 year old son to experience sushi for the first time. We ordered two dishes. He likes his imitation crab roll but I did not like my teriyaki rice bowl and sashimi. The teriyaki bowl chicken was the worse I have ever tried after I moved from California many years ago. The chicken in the bowl is less flavorful and bland, The sashimi were laid flat and less cold, as expected, instead of laid up vertically. I told the complain to the young lady but she is not very knowledgeable about the customer service. Then she sent another lady whom I assume she is a manager with no name tag. I told her my complain. She then pick up the chicken with her bare finger, (Critical health code violation) squeezed it and put it back on my bowl. She said" it is fine with me nothing wrong with the chicken." I requested for credit or refund. She said I have to pay because this is what I ordered.Oh by the way she said" Sorry about that." In addition to that, I can hear small talk with other chef at the counter while their eyes were looking at my table. This is second time I wrote the review. The first one I wrote two weeks ago were mysteriously deleted. I do not support the business who do not practice good customer service and business ethic. read more

We went yesterday, for New Year's Eve for lunch. My daughter lives in the area and recommended it. We had 3 in our party and the place only had about 10 other customers. A football game was blasting, with staff watching and cheering, and we looked at the menus. I decided to order the All You Can Eat lunch, my daughter one simple oder of sushi, and hubby has a teriyaki plate. When we were ready to order our waitess took mine and stared to walk away. I called her back and said my husband wanted to order too. She seemed to be in a fog. She took his order, then my daughters. They brought my daughter's order, mine was 20 minutes later (place still pretty empty with 5 staff I could see), then hubby anther 15 minutes later. BAD SERVICE. There was zero reason why all the food shouldn't have all been served together. Maybe they were too absorbed in the football game to pay attention to service? One table had dirty dishes one it for almost an hour, never cleaned. Whie the food/prices were good, the service was very disjointed, a real dissapointment. I don't know who the manager was, or if they were there, but all the other sushi places I've gone to manage to bring all the food at once.
