Loved this place. We sat on the patio around sunset and it was great. Ambience was good and the service even better. Kira took great care of us. The food was awesome! We tried the calamari, the clam chowder (it's the best in the city), chicken tenders, short rib, fish, and the lemon meringue. After every dish we were raving about how much we liked it. A great new addition to the Las Colinas area, which offers more than I expected, a great selection of sushi and seafood, and has free parking. Almost everyone wants to sit outside. Personally the man-made lake view isn't that great, but on a nice weather day, I see the appeal. Our waiter came around to our table quite often. While a little annoying, they knew when we were ready to order and when to transition through every part of the meal. The interior I guess has that feel of a polished white boat, especially with all the natural lighting from the big windows. The Lincoln Roll, which has Tuna and avocado with asparagus and garlic chips, was way better than I thought it would be. Packs a punch of umami, along with a delicate crunch from the asparagus and scattering of garlic chips. Sea scallop salad and seared ahi tuna salad have about the same base ingredients. I do like they dress and chop the salad, but after a while, it's a specific flavor that loses its excitement. I hate grapefruit and they have these chunks of them laying around the plate. The Golden raisins are a great touch. The meats themselves are cooked just right, and could have been served by themselves and still be enjoyable. They usually have west and east coast oysters but tonight they only had wiannos. They arent bad, but they also are the type of mild flavored oysters I try to avoid. Yellowtail wonton tacos were crunchy, spicy savory delights! Well balanced in its approach, with lime wedges being used for presentation and acidity. Absolutely worth getting. I was quite pleased with what I had. Considering the location, quality, and price, I will be coming back again. I wish their menu had a few more options of straight seafood, but at the same time, theres something for everyone. read more

The server was welcoming and lovely and helpful and super pleasant. She turned things around completely. The food came quickly and was fresh. Had the lemon pancakes from the brunch menu and 10/10 recommend. When the check came I forgot to check the bill and there was something I ordered but didn't receive. When the server took it back she corrected it and let me know. That is really great service because I wouldn't have ever thought to check. Most of the staff i encountered were great. I give it a 4/5 because those two ladies could make a lasting negative impression and they really need to do better. Wow! What a great place. We came here for a birthday this past weekend and loved it! Atmosphere is great, overlooking the canal at Las Colinas, and decor within the restaurant is well set up. Service was also fantastic. We started with the fried oysters, which is honestly one of the best starters I've had to this day. I got the California burger, which was made beautifully and tasted great. The portions ended up being so big I took half of my sandwich home. The chicken and potatoes (pictured) were also great. We tried the spicy rock shrimp, the calamari, clam chowder, and the miso salmon with sticky rice and mashed potatoes. All of the dishes were cooked and flavored to perfection. We were told to wait a minute by the staff to be seated which turned into probably a fifteen minute wait with tables being open. You get 2 with the dish of course and it's almost purely crab with no fillers. I usually ask for hollandaise on the side because I don't always like it but forgot to request this. I'm glad I forgot as it was delish. One of the more lighter tasting I've had. It comes with the traditional English muffin, sliced tomatoes, and spinach. The side was a roasted potato dish. Perfectly seasoned. At $35 it was pricey for eggs Benedict but those crab cakes are worth it. My friend enjoyed her pan fried sole with kale salad. I tasted her kale. I don't always like kale but I would totally order it next time. It had a light dressing on it with a hint of blue cheese, eggs, and avocado. Sit on the patio if you can. It's nice for people watching and seeing people ride gondolas and peddling ducks and swans down the canal. Parking in the garage is free but that garage next to the restaurant is smelly and creepy. Other tables were also waiting for the food and I could over hear the managers and servers apologizing to those tables for the wait but they said nothing to us until I finally got the servers attention. She then apologized for the wait and had the manager come over to give us what seemed like an insincere update on our food. Beautiful restaurant with nice outdoor seating along the water although I'm not sure exactly what body of water this is. We had the trout and the grilled mahi fish of the day special. Both were good. Did not receive my drink until 45 minutes after everyone else's, the manager was not helpful, and we had to wait to receive the check one hour after eating and not getting checked on. The check was incorrect and had additional entrees added on them, and took an additional 30 minutes to rectify, only after we'd chased down the manager as it was pushing 10:30pm on a weeknight. This was a highly recommended place we were excited to try. Understand when things get busy, but it was a slower Wednesday night with poor service and lack of accountability or apology on their side. This is a great spot at Lake Carolyn. We went to the original spot in Fort Worth and we were so happy that this place came to Las Colinas. We were going to go to a movie so we are at the bar. We started out with the Yellowtail Jalapeño Roll. It was delicious. We also had the Brussels Sprouts Salad that had was a little sweet but tasty. We hosted a business dinner here. They did not have a private room, but were able to rope off a section in a way that separated this area from the main dining area so it was acceptable. We had a variety of appetizers, which were yummy! The sushi was great, and artichoke hearts outstanding. There was a shrimp cocktail that was only ok. My main course was a miso salmon that was outstanding. I was a little disappointed that there was not a broader selection of fish and no crab (other than a crab cake salad). I also ordered a cocktail called That's My Jam. The oysters were fried perfectly. Was not a fan of the topping of capers and other chopped things, but I will say it went well with the oysters. The cocktail was delicious. It was made of muddled strawberry and whiskey and some other things. My entree was delicious. The fillet was cooked perfectly as was the egg and muffin.
