We ordered crawfish here !! At $6.99 a pound it was a deal and they include corn and potatoes! The decor is rustic and I loved it I wished I had walked around more and looked at the pictures and different areas of the restaurant. I would add we brought our daughter and there is no changing table in the bathrooms. I would prefer prices on food menus, but our server was quick and food was delicious. Bartender was rude server was rude. Shorter white woman w black hair in bun & blonde haired woman. Both kept asking for my ID that I had already shown the blonde woman. Black bun had an issue with my partner wanting his drink with no ice as he asked for twice before receiving the wrong drink. I was first introduced to Pacific Yardhouse at the Conroe Catfish Festival, their boudin balls are out of this world. My husband and I visited the restaurant for the first time yesterday. The restaurant is clean, laid out well, and nicely decorated. Our food was delicious; bbq pulled pork, ribs, and loaded potato salad were excellent. I had the bourbon salmon with rice and green beans. The salmon and rice were perfectly cook with a del flavor, the only item I don't recommend are the green beans. I look forward to my next trip for their fantastic food and listen to live music, oh and enjoy something off of their extensi beer and wine list! read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! The floor manager on duty was AWFUL!!! I put an online order in at 12:27 and get a text my order is confirmed and will be ready at 12:42. I get there at 12:45 only for the hostess to tell me she didn't put it in and didn't see it. She tells her manager and the manager literally looks at me and blows it off, then walks bad over to the hostess stand and still says nothing to me and ignores me again. So then I ask to talk to the manager and she walks out with the kitchen manager, makes him talk to me while she stands there (again says nothing), and walks off before the conversation was even over. Like we inconvenienced her...absolute horrible attitude!! She Could care less that my dad's a diabetic, could care less that they screwed up, and didn't even give an apology out of her mouth. Great little unassuming area and the Pacific Yard House is an asset here. Both the indoor and outdoor area is casual but very well kept up and they have a beautiful Texas laden decor. Disrespectful staff that communicated a month leading up to the planned baby shower only to cancel on us an HOUR before our reservation. Their solution to their mishap was to offer us to rent the patio for "a couple thousand dollars" instead of honoring what a staff member offered. This place is great! I love the food and the atmosphere. My wife shared the Cajun shrimp pasta with her sister. It had a little kick to it, but it was delicious. I had the chicken fried steak. It was big as Texas and the gravy was outstanding. My son had the bison burger. You know I had to get a bite of that too. It was moist, tender and flavorful. So Good! High expectations almost met. Wife had the Cajun Chicken and Shrimp pasta which she loved. She's s still talking about it 2 hours later. Huge portion size for a lunch but what she brought home won't go to waste. I had to try the Chicken Fried Steak with the ale batter coating, Mac and cheese, and fried potatoes. CFS was tasty but over cooked (batter and meat) which made the meat tough. Yes, you will need the steak knife that comes with the plate. The batter was so over cooked that when I cut the CFS in half it neatly separated from the meat like taking off a glove. The white gravy was fine. The Mac and cheese was tasty and the fried potatoes were awesome. Wait staff friendly but inattentive after bringing our meal. Room for improvement but an awesome start. Highly recommend. We had Pacific Yard House for the first time in mid-January. Let me tell you something, it was AWESOME! I had THE best chicken fried steak I've had in the Conroe/The Woodlands area. Everyone at our table raved about how delicious the food was, from my chicken fried steak to burgers and more. The service was outstanding as well. Sometimes you just get a hankerin'. Ashley said earlier she wanted sushi for dinner and I was happy to go out having just finished cleaning up after cooking for ten people a few nights ago. I can make good food, but I'm even better at destroying a kitchen. How many times have we men argued about where to eat with the women folk? By argue about, I mean how many times have we simply asked, baby where do you want to eat and just getting that answer requires damn near breaking up. I'm pretty sure Adam and Eve were in the same argument when Eve said something like, I just don't know what I want but I don't want what you suggested so I'm just going to eat this apple. Tonight was not going to be that night. I wanted chicken fried steak. Ash is threatening to take my carbs away again and if I'm gonna be a dead man walking, I'm picking my last meal. Chicken fried steak it was. I had been reading about this place up the road in Conroe. The reviews were good, the pictures of the interior looked cool and the CFS came highly recommended. Pacific Yard House is a very cool place. It's in an old industrial building with black pipe tables and a huge square bar with blue LEDs shining underneath. They've maintained the feel of the old building perfectly complete with a signed license for Teacup Sally in the men's room. We grabbed a table and ordered some Karbach lemon ginger beer (I can't remember the name, but they have it where I get my hair cut, and I like it). They were (as was all of their draft beer) on happy hour special for $2 off which ended up being $7 for a 24 oz draft in an ice cold mug. This place had promise. We ordered their stuffed jalapeño appetizer which was stuffed with shrimp and cheese and wrapped in bacon - duh. They were excellent, prepared perfectly and served piping hot with a side of spicy ranch that was really killer. Definitely would order these again. Now for the main event. This chicken fried steak is by far and easily THE BEST DAMN CHICKEN FRIED STEAK IN THE WOODLANDS AREA. Yes, I've had the Republic Grill version of this southern delicacy, but this thing is far superior to theirs. We split one (they are huge) and only had one steak knife - no problem here. The butter knife went through it easily. It's huge, flaky and so tender. The crust was perfection and had just the right adhesion to the meat. The gravy was fresh and hot and seasoned perfectly. Sides were good as well. Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Someone else at the table had spinach and potato wedges and honestly the wedges were the best of the bunch. The CFS was $15 with two sides, Texas toast and rolls before the meal. I'm definitely going back to drink, watch some sportsball games and to take the fam out for dinner during the week. There are plenty of good things to try on the menu and if I'm allowed to eat carbs, I'll most certainly be throwing back another CFS there. Y'all really need to try this place out. My only suggestions are this. 1. They need a kids menu. This is an easy fix. They already serve chicken tenders and burgers. Make them smaller. I don't want to have to pay full price for an entree that my 6 year old is going to eat half of. 2. Mix in some cocktails on your happy hour menu. Came here with the fam for a bday dinner around 5pm, Sat pretty quickly but the restaurant was out of ice even though we could clearly see people at the bar getting ice for mixed drinks and what not, moving forward the appetizers were pretty good definitely recommend the Buffalo loaded fries, entrees come out and our whole table agreed the food was mediocre at best, I personally got the chicken fried steak and it was very tough and over cooked in my opinion my dad felt the same way. A review I didn't want to write. I stopped for lunch and had a pizza, it came with one less topping than ordered. The bartender said I didn't order it but I order the same thing on every pizza always-for 40+ years. The pizza, to my Detroit sensibilities was so-so at best but maybe it's a great pie in Texas. But the bartenders were nice and the tap is great. So a friend and I came back for dinner. We both ordered the Spicy Chicken and shrimp pasta. I barely ate any of it as it straight off did not agree with me-tasted great but something didn't sit well. My friend ate all of his, loved the flavor and had no complaints. This morning I learned he passed a very uncomfortable night making several trips to the porcelain goddess/stool. Clearly something was amiss. I didn't want to write this as I liked the place. They passed out 80's paraphernalia...Rubix cube, glow in the dark bracelets, lace gloves, etc. lol The service was iffy but it was very crowded. SAVE YOUR MONEY! First of all I will say this. When the place first opened the food was better. I ordered a catfish dinner, not an appetizer!. My fish came out on a monster plate of fries. Enough fries to feed 4 people as an entree. I guess they thought with enough fries, I would not notice the 7- 2"x2" catfish nuggets they gave me. As a garnish they put a tablespoon of coleslaw on the plate. One person in my party ordered the large salad as a meal. This salad use to come with steak on it, not now. I ordered a house salad. My salad was literally about two ounces less than the large salad. The big difference was the price. My salad was $4.00, the large salad we thought was going to be a meal was $12.00 for about 3-4 bites more. We could have ordered two house salads, spent $8.00 and would have gotten more salad than the "big" salad offered. This would have left an additional $4.00 toward the sorry service we received. I don't ever remember paying a cover charge while eating dinner at this place. If your eating past 9 p.m and there is live music, get ready to pay extra. Bottom line: If you came for the live music great, if not, maybe you should eat before you come, then you won't be hungry when you leave, or disappointed with the lack of service. I will not be eating here again. $14.00 for a few fish nuggets is not acceptable. Salads are large in a drive through fast food. read more

Best bar/grill in Conroe. Hands down. Literally everything on the menu is amazing. And for simple people, best chicken tenders you'll have in your life. I only leave off a star because they close early. They could easily stay open late due to their "bar-type" atmosphere. I think most of Conroe would want them to extend their hours. read more

And the chicken club sandwich loaded with cheese, bacon, and avocado will soon be your go-to as well!!
