I bought my car here and had a fine experience, so I decided to bring my boyfriend in to look for a car. He previously lived in the city and was moving to the burbs, so he hadn't owned one in a while. We get to Packey Webb and Mike G approached us with a very "are-you-gonna-buy-a-car-or-not" attitude. As my boyfriend was moving fairly quickly, we were also in a rush to purchase so we brushed the attitude off. We discussed some options, and Mike was set on running a credit check. My boyfriend (who is of Mexican heritage) handed him the paper with his SS # on it. Mike proceeded to hold out the paper and say "If I run this, I'm not going to find anything weird, right? This is YOUR social security number? You're not trying to use someone else's or anything?" He was insinuating that my boyfriend was undocumented and committing identity fraud, which was both a horrible stereotype and humiliating for my boyfriend. My boyfriend responded with "What? No!" Because he was taken so off guard, to which Mike replied "I have a lot of people with similar backgrounds coming in here and trying to pull that stuff," which was absolutely rude and discriminatory. After the credit check was done, and my boyfriend had calmed me down because I was fuming, Mike insisted he "only" could get a used Focus/Fiesta, that's all he "could let him purchase." We left that day, found another Ford dealership, and purchased a beautiful, new 2017 Fusion with no issue. I tried reaching out to the manager of Packey Webb but got no response, so clearly they don't value customer experiences. I'd stick with Willowbrook. read more

I called in the morning and made an offer on Ford Explorer Platinum with Ernie. He stated "the car is yours, I will get it pulled up and ready for you. When will you be down?". I was driving from Southern WI. So with that comment, one would assume the car is on hold and it's mine. On my 2 hour trip down, I received a call stating that someone else is looking at the vehicle but that they are also looking at 2 others... WTH?? I was upset and said Ernie we talked and said I would be down to purchase the vehicle. "Oh in IL we can't put hold on vehicles without a buyers purchase form signed"..!?!?! He said it is not sold and they are leaning toward another vehicle. We got down there and as we are in the car inspecting it and getting excited to purchase it, he came out and said they bought it. This is very poor customer service why would you not explain to a buyer that the car can only be held if a buyer purchase form has been signed, when you know your customer/client has a 2 hour drive? I am so disappointed in ford and the customer service I got at this location. I bought a ford ecosport 2018 in 2018. Two months ago, my exhaust system had completely rusted off. I talked to the sales manager, because I was looking to get a different car, since the part was 3 months out. They did not have any loaner cars, so I was stuck without a car since they would not work with me to get me a car, even rental. When I was looking at a nice car (jaguar) the sales manager said, "can you even afford that?" Absolutely insulted me. I told him about the rust on my car and he responded with, "all the cars on the lot have some rust under them". Not even an apology or anything, just said that all cars have rust when sold, very unsettling. I also had tires that needed to be replaced, I was okay with paying whatever to get my car fixed. They put air in the tire and did not even replace the tires or give me the option. They also told me my brakes were bad, did not even touch those either, I did not care about the cost, I just wanted my car to be up to par since it was sitting for weeks at ford. read more

So i purchased a 2018 mustang from Packey webb ford. the windshield on my car had scratches which at first thought was the glue from the window sticker. Diego Fernandez was my sales man. i called the next day to tell him what was going on and he said to bring it in so they could fix it. so i took a day off work to drive 2hrs back to chicago to have them look at it. Matt Horeni was the guy up front that took my car to the service department and had them look at it. He said it would need to be replaced and he would have to have a glass company replace it at no cost to me. i gave him all my information and he said he would be in contact with me later in the week.. after 2 weeks of no call back i called them back and everytime i called to speak to a manager they would transfer me and it would go to voice mail. i left multiple messages with him and never got a call back. this went on for months of me calling and asking to speak to a manager to get my windshield fix. nothing if someone answered they said they would check into it and call me back. i live 2hrs away and work monday thru saturday so i cant just keep taking off work to go up there. so last week i had training in chicago so i stopped in to see if they would finally do something... The guy up front told me there is nothing they can do because of how long its been. i cannot believe such a large dealership would do this to a paying customer!!! why would they tell me they would fix it then ignore me and when i do show up tell me its been to long!! Recently had a very bad experience with this Ford location. I want to be clear that my displeasure didn't arise from the product, but from the staff. I was quoted very high because they were trying to sell me extra products. When I spoke to the manager about this on Wednesday August 28th he was extremely defensive. I mentioned that I wasn't angry with him, I just felt cheated. He asked me to look up the word cheated, because he felt that I didn't understand how to correctly use the term. Businesses should be transparent about their services and what they need to be charging for. Your way of conducting business is shiesty, immoral, and abusive to your consumers. I don't feel that I made this point clearly to the company with my in person review, so I don't foresee a change in the near future. Hopefully someone with an advanced position will read this and commit their staff to a change in communication. Also, get new pens. There's ink everywhere. At the very least get some soap in the lobby so people can clean up after being inked. read more

I bought my Ford Focus from Packey Webb 11 years ago. I have driven out from my home in Chicago for service time and again because Tim and his team keep my "baby" running well. I like their 40 point inspection and the clear, written chart showing any things that need urgent attention or that bear watching in the future. I have never felt pressured into any unnecessary or costly repairs. I also like the way the customer service team keeps me informed by text or phone of the progress on my car repair if I have left it overnight. I've had my 2012 Focus and 2014 Escape serviced at Packey Webb for several years. The degree of professional, prompt, courteous service is exemplary. The entire process from booking an appointment, through check-in, service, and check-out bristles with thought and concern. Just one example: On Saturday, I had my 2012 Focus in for a recall. When checking out, Alex asked if I had ever had my clutch serviced because 2/25/19 was the last day I could have it replaced free of charge if it was worn beyond certain limits. He immediately made an appointment for me. On 2/25/19, Nick took charge told me the clutch and seals needed replacing and Ford Motor will cover the $1,237. Thanks guys! First time I've purchased a truck from them and definitely the last! They called me with an offer to buy my used F150, basically bringing me in for a trade-up, which I was kind of interested upgrading mine. I came in and we found a new F150 from the inventory that will fit my needs. Until I paid the down payment everything was fine! Now it's like they don't care about me anymore. I told the sales guy that I would like to finance only thru Chase! He advised me that they are "Chase" authorized dealer, I agreed without knowing that they are running hard inquiry from the dealer, and when I came to pick up the mew truck two weeks later they ran 2 more hard inquiries thru "Chase" and "Capital one". Total of 3 inquiries for one approved loan, a stain on my credit report for the next 2 years. Also I asked the sales person for exact same truck with same features and packages. And most importantly "remote start". When I picked up the truck I got the remotes without "remote start" and he told me that I do have it but it's thru an app in the phone. I didn't like it since I know sometimes it's doesn't work (we have it on my wife's 2020 explorer and it's getting stuck a lot so she use the remote) and actually in the last 3 days I can't remote start it. Also paid for tinted windows and they forgot to install. And besides all that my truck has 4 different issues with back order parts- 1. Lock on passenger side doesn't work. 2. Rear view camera doesn't work properly. 3. Driver side door hard to close. 4. Rubber strip peeling off. Today I went over to try to talk with one of the owners, after talking with a manager didn't help before. One of the managers told me to sit in a waiting area and he will page one of them, after waiting around 30 min I saw him walking by, and I asked him what's going on, he told me that none of the owners are in, so I asked him why he didn't come over to tell me so I won't wait for nothing, he explained that he's helping 6 other people. At this point, I'm less than satisfied with my experience at Packey Webb. Since I just bought a car from them in May (with a 72 month loan), I'm sure to see a lot of them in my future. My mom and I contacted Packey Webb after my stupid, POS Kia Rio died in mid-May 2011. They had a few reasonably priced, low-mileage used cars listed on their website that interested us so we made an appointment to go in and speak with someone. They stuck us with an inexperienced, new salesman who was working through his 'probationary period' with the dealership. Normally, I'm all for giving new employees a chance to learn the ropes (we're all new at some point) but this guy wasn't really cutting it. It was difficult to get the car we wanted into the dealership on Ogden because both used cars I'd seen online were at the Wheaton location. They ended up sending two cars to the Ogden location but they were the wrong ones. Of course, since we spent so much time looking, I decided I wanted a new car since new and used both seem like pointless investments (especially if you have to finance). I decided on a Ford Fiesta and loved the test drive. I also loved all of the add-ons that came with the model that I drove (as described by Mr. Inexperienced Salesperson). Papers signed, car washed, drove on my way. Happy as a clam. A few weeks into my purchase, I realized I couldn't sign up for my free Sirius satellite radio subscription. I have a "Sirius" button in my car, but for some reason I couldn't get it to work (even after I called Sirius). Turns out, there is a special tuner that needs to be in there that I don't have. Now begins my seemingly never ending, annoying customer service experience with Packey Webb. They promised me Sirius (well, Mr. Inexperienced Salesman did) and now I need a tuner installed. I walked into Packey Webb for assistance and I got the run-around and brush off from the first guy we talked to (Dave with the glasses and mustache). He clearly just wanted us to get the hell out of there and hoped that we wouldn't push the issue. He even said "Most people don't even care to activate the subscription." Ummm, ok. Is that the point? The point is that you promised it and it's not there. Now I want it. 10 calls and two weeks later, I still don't have the problem resolved. At this point, I just want Ford to eat the cost of this and install the god damned tuner in my car since your salesman promised me this subscription (and I'll continue to pay for the service after my free trial expires). It's not my fault Packey Webb let a guy who knew nothing about the sales process take me out into a car, test drive and sell it to me. He promised a bunch of shit and now you need to live up to that. Since I'm not done dealing with this shifty dealership, I'm sure my review is subject to change. We'll see what happens in the coming months with this Sirius crap and my first couple of tune-ups. All in all, I think the service is shifty. Pretty typical, sleazy auto dealership types. I also get the feeling from the men working here (I saw NO female salespeople) that they think I'm somewhat inferior because I'm a woman and I clearly don't know anything about cars (nor should I care because, after all, I'm a lady). Getting you out of the building and off the phone seem to be their #1 concern (instead of actually helping you with something). Around 10/05, I found a car add online from this dealership for a slightly-used Taurus, e-mailed them about my interest and, in no time, did I get a response telling me to stop by & check it out. So after I made the 2 hour trek to Wheaton at the dealership, thinking that I was finally gonna get this car. After the test drive and the salesman putting on the clique car salesman Shtick by pretending to be interested in my hobbies, we've gone to the moment of truth, the paperwork. Looking back, I'm sure the guy wet & came himself all at the same time when he realized that I've never shopped for a car before nor did I check the blue book. After I showed him my paycheck stub and doing the credit check (I had no established credit at the time), he told me that I would get loan approval, due to my large down payment and that my interest rate would be somewhere in the single digits. Then, when he asked me to sign some papers, I immediately thought that I should first tell my dad about it before pursuing this any further. But, when I told the guy that, he pressured me to sign them saying that my dad wouldn't have a problem and that I'm grown up enough to make my own decisions. I still wanted to tell my father about it so, the salesman brought some higher-up to convince me to buy the car, telling me that what's the problem, you like the car, I don't want you to drive back home empty-handed yada yada yada. By that time, I was aware of the b s they were trying to pull and left. Long story short, it turned out that the guy couldn't get me financing after all that so, I wasn't qualified to buy the car. To order the car, I had to put down a $500 earnest money deposit on my credit card. It's been about 1 week since I purchased the car. This is my first negative YELP review, so you can take this to heart when considering where to buy your next car. Bought a car here 18mo ago. Brought it in after 6mo for a jerky transmission. Ford sends me a notice that there is an issue and extends my warranty. They advise me to take it in for for evaluation. I have dealt with a couple of service writers who were rude, tried to downplay the fact the car is not safe, and have failed to ever follow up. This in addition to 7hr oil changes, failure to order necessary parts for a factory warranty item, and leaving my windows down all night in subzero temperatures has left me at wits end with this organization. I would be ashamed to put my Family name on this joke. Supposedly waiting on parts. Guess Ford manufacturing has been closed for the last year. If you have a Ford and want your oil changed correctly - go here. Joe wrote up my service (oil change) and was incredibly attentive. He listened to what I wanted done, wrote it all down and made sure it was done exactly the way I wanted. Yes I am a weirdo when it comes to my car, but Joe understood that. I will absolutely come back here for oil changes in the future. They let you bring your own oil (I run Pennzoil Platinum in my Ford Focus ST) and like I said- they do the job right. The price was fair, Joe (and Chris) were pleasant to deal with and most importantly- I am happy with the service. That's a hell of a lot more than I can say for the clowns at Rohrman Ford in Schaumburg who not only used the wrong oil, but they used the wrong amount. Don't even get me started on those creeps. Packey-Webb seems to be the only Ford dealer in the Chicago suburbs with a decent reputation for handling "Ford Performance" vehicles. Please ignore the fact that sometimes that phrase seems oxymoronic. Anyway - they had good reviews on a couple Ford owner forums, and they handled SVT when it existed, plus they still handle Rousch. I brought my 03 SVT Focus in for a brake inspection and also to check on some noise from suspension members. They did a pretty quick assessment for $29.95, and came back with a recommendation to replace front and rear brakes, plus notified me of broken front left and right swap bar links. OK, great. How long will it take to get parts (since dealers rarely stock SVT parts)? About two business days. When can I get an appointment? NEVER. Turns out they "don't have enough staff" to do the work I needed on a weekend, so I had to drop it off during the week. I called to see if they had open appointments, and upon finding I could "drop it off really any time, we're free all week," hung up to try and arrange an appropriate time where I could get the car dropped off and pick up a rental within business hours, something that fit with my work hours. Upon finding one, I called back about a half hour later - and they were booked for the next two weeks. Awesome. Anyway, all said and done, once I got my stupid car in, the entire job took less than 24 hours - they called me mid afternoon the next day, and I picked it up that night. Everything seems to work - car stops faster, sway bars are actually connected to the rest of the car. So I won't say the workmanship was bad, they just seem uncoordinated. They did understand the difference between an SVT and a non-SVT, which some dealers I've used do not...so I think I'll be back. read more

Their prices are extremely competitive with other maintenance and tire places. I had been told I needed to replace my tires at another place and given an estimate. I did not mention that when I brought in my car but Sam brought the issue up and explained why tires needed replacing and gave me an estimate for the same tire I had gotten at another vendor. They were very competitive. The waiting room is very comfortable and nice restrooms. Not only was Sam a pleasure to work with but everyone you come in contact with are friendly and professional! Purchase my car here in August still hasn't received the title to it and I even asked upon purchasing the car for a copy of the title which was super scary to have to ask for A title when normally when I bought it any other car in cash I was given a copy of the title signed over and then I also in addition we receive one in the mail from the state? Never have I had such a poor experience purchasing my car. To add onto this I thought a freaking condom underneath the front seat of my car the dealership did take care of that issue. The salesman even indicated to me that this was his a aunt old car that he took on Trade. My biggest issue is him telling me that he will give me the second key when I contacted them about it multiple times he said he'll get it he'll get it and then I was go so this is horrible experience never I will buy a car from this dealershipever again! To add on when I spoke to the manager about the title issue he just yanked me on the somebody else and that person was nothing but nice however had no answer and won't even confirm that they had the right address for me. Bottom line, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I would not recommend buying a car from Packey Webb. The customer service is a huge disappointment and frankly unacceptable. THE CAR HASN'T STARTED SINCE I BROUGHT IT HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP. Long story short - bought a 2010 car from them on a Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning it did not start. I had to jump-start it. Thursday, same issue. Friday, same thing and I had the car TOWED back to the dealership to return it and get my down payment back. They gave me a hard time when I showed up in the tow truck and requested my money back. They refused. Both the sales person and the manager have been argumentative about the situation when they should have been bending over backwards trying to resolve this problem. They sold me a car that doesn't start and I have had it for only a couple days....!? After a 3+ hours at the dealership with the car in the service department, and promises from the manager that the car would be in working order soon (they claimed the after-market alarm system was interfering and the cause of the problem), I reluctantly drove the car home thinking it was fixed. Come Saturday morning, THE CAR WILL NOT START. And, I had to have it TOWED another time back to the dealership. When I called on Saturday to tell them that the car would be towed back to their dealership for a SECOND time, they told me to call the Ford 1-800 number as if this wasn't their problem! They have shown no remorse for the nightmare I have been living since the day after I bought this car and they are claiming I cannot get my money back and return the car. I bought a brand new 2015 Escape from Jerry Cizek at Packey Webb Ford in Downers Grove. I chose this dealership for its big inventory of used cars, but I ended up buying a new one there, which is my own mistake. (It's 50 miles from my home and many Ford dealers are closer.) I felt comfortable with my sales rep, but as often happens, once the sale was made, the assistance ended. When I picked up my car, only one key/remote was available and they wrote me an IOU. To get my 2nd key, they have told me that I would have to make the 100 mile round trip to their service department. Yes, I chose to drive that distance to buy my car. No, I will not be driving that distance for service when another Ford dealer is 5 miles from me. It's been been three months and I don't have my key/remote. Last month, after many calls/emails, the sales rep finally agreed to arrange for me to get my key from a local dealership. I am still waiting. It's my mistake for purchasing my car at Packey Webb. They could have easily made me a happy customer, by simply making a phone call to my local dealer to arrange this. These people owed a few $100.00 as a credit. After they fixed the van the person (Todd) asked me whether I need the refund or you are bringing the van to be fixed later (there was a small lock that needed to be fixed on the back of the van). At that time he sounded as if he does not want to give your credit money. He was hesitant.They performed a job on my van. After a few months, when I asked for the credit check, he told me that he cant issue me the credit as he saved me a lot of money on the bill. I can only get this money if I get my van fixed in their shop. I dont trust these people. I'm unhappy. Think twice before you give any job to these people. read more

Dealing with Packey Webb Ford wasn't going so hot initially, but I feel like I have to write a review because once I brought my concerns to the service manager "Mike" he really went above and beyond. I attempted to buy a truck I found online at Packy Webb this last new years. I was in the market for a truck and decided to go see this truck after talking to Nick on the phone. When arriving Nick was nice and we got to the test drive quickly. When we got back to talk details I found out the truck had some issues and decided it was not for me. This is where things got bad. Nick was very forceful on my looking at some other trucks. I decided after not really having time to drive a few others. I liked this other truck and we started to haggle on price. When we got close I decided I didn't want to buy the truck at that moment and wanted to talk to my wife first. Nick would not let me leave. They held my Drivers License and credit card for ransom. It got very uncomfortable. At the end I was so mad I just started walking out and told him to mail me MY drivers license and credit card. At that point her ran and got it and I left. Well Nick was not done with me yet. He decided to call my a few hours later and explain to my that "Mr Webb" has decided to come down to my budget for the 2nd truck. After talking with my wife we decided it was a good deal and set up to go new years eve day. On the phone I made sure he was at a certain price so we didn't have that issue anymore. Nick was sure and I set up a time to come in. When I arrived with my wife and kids in toe Nick met us and we sat to hash out details. Well the price we agreed on was out the window at that point. Back to uncomfortable negotiations. My wife was furious we had to go through this when we thought price was set??? In the end it came down to Nicks word. I would have bought the truck but he ended up being conniving and typical. I was so done with the process I went to CarMax for a much nicer experience. I would warn you from using the dealership. Holding your cards for ransom is so tacky. Maybe "Mr Webb" should change there policy. Check out my new truck from CARMAX. read more
