Ridiculous! Two weeks ago I got a botana for carryout. Got it home and found I had 6 chips, 3 tablespoons if beans and a pound of cheese. When I called to complain I was told the regular cook was on vacation. Got 3 meat and bean tostadas for carryout tonight. And that's what I got, plus cheese. Supposed to be garnished with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. When I called to complain I was told the woman thought that I wanted meat and beans only. Really?! That's how I've always ordered them and never was shorted before. And if I'd only wanted meat and bean they were still messed up because of the cheese. I would've asked for minus lettuce, tomato and sour cream. I'm done. Been a customer for years. I won't be back. Two strikes, you're out. read more

So we decided because this place is close we'd try it again and as usual we were very disappointed. They have terrible Mexican food, no flavor, they charge extra for everything including carry-out. I don't understand how this place is so busy all the time when Pancho and Cisco's is about a mile away on Jefferson. Was sadly disappointed! Went out with my Son, his Fiancé, & my Mother for our 1st time experience at Paco's! When we 1st arrived we thought the place was packed cuz there was nowhere to park, I thought, wellll that's a good sign! Once I parked the car across the street & entered the restaurant I was quite surprised to see it wasn't busy at all, & there were plenty of tables! My son had got us a booth, hostess took our drink orders, then it took our waitress almost 10 mins to even acknowledge us! Once we all decided what we wanted, it took her another 10 mins to come back & to take our order! After our order was placed, we didn't see our waitress again for about 20 mins when she brought our food to us. Everyone seemed to have liked what they ordered! My Chimmechanga was OK...shell was deeped fried & tasted greasy...& steak inside wasnt the best....diffinetely had better! Then we all decided to get their fried Ice Cream....Would Not recommend unless you like Vanilla Ice Cream with crush Frosted Flakes....Diffinetely not the fried Ice cream I've had! Our waitress was not very attentive, especially with it not being as busy as we thought it was! And you better be prepared to pay cash cuz they don't except Credit or Debit Cards....but they do have an ATM machine!" In this day & age, why have they not updated their outdated System! We tried the super nachos and the combo plate they were both really good. the only thing I would like to mention is if done via carryout the combo plate should be separated since the tostada and taco got wet from the burrito and enchilada. I've been going to Pacos for a LOOONNNGGG time, and they know me. I usually take a table in a small corner near the door and read a book while I eat. The waitress is always incredibly friendly with me, probably because she sees me so often. You have to understand that when you see the "cash only" sign, it means, "CASH ONLY". I know the people who own the place so I can tell you that the Mexican sausage comes from Eastern Market, which they put in their chili, and they make everything, and I mean EVERYTHING from scratch. I always accuse them of putting crack cocaine in their beans because I have never in my life had beans so creamy, not chalky (aka Poncho and Ciscos - never again). I order the bean burrito lunch the most and it's worth every penny. They charge a LOT extra for guacamole and also for sour cream, so if you can live without it, don't order it. Their salsa, at least the hot kind, is delicious, and I like to add it to everything on my plate. If you get there early enough (11:30 - noonish) the chips will be hot and crispy. So in all, if you want a reasonably priced Mexican style restaurant that's in town, go to Pacos. If you want something "fancy" or "authentic" then go to Detroit to Mexican Town, or make it yourself. But be sure to watch your waistline. This place can be addictive. read more

When I moved from MI to Ohio over 18 years ago, the only thing I really missed was Paco's. I still travel to MI to visit family, and when I do, I always stop at Paco's. My favorite is the cheese enchiladas....they are the best I've ever eaten, and I've eaten at many Mexican restaurants. I love their hot green sauce, and I always buy a pint of it to go, as I've never found any green sauce that could compare. I have to stop thinking about this place now before I start getting the cravings. read more

By far the worst food I've ever had. The chips were stale, none of the cheese on my $4 cheese quesadilla or on my wife's enchilada's was melted fully, and it dripped grease like a cheap pizza. The rice was chewy in some parts and crunchy in others. The fact that it only took all of a minute and a half to get our food was not comforting either (microwave much?) Have had a sick feeling all day from the few bites of food we could stomach before asking for a check and leaving. We went last wednesday and it was horrible. The wait staff was at a hurried pace but not attentive what so ever,plus they looked sloppy with over sized sweatshirts on. My daughter ordered a burrito which she said was ok but it looked boring,no salsa or sour cream not a garnish anywhere. I ordered the tamale dinner and it tasted like it came from a buffet. The tamales were dry and covered with hot dog chili. We won't be back. read more

First and last time. Fijatas had limp onions and peppers, as if it been sitting on the stove, cooled of and they reheated. Taco meat is crumbly and unseasoned. Soft flour tortillas were rather soggy, lame cold tortilla chips and bland salsa. Beans were terrible and runny and rice was a flavorless dry starch ball. One of the few places our entire family can agree on. The food is always really good. Served fast and hot by a friendly staff. The Super Nacho is a great value and we've never had a bad one. The meals are very filling and tasty. They don't have a liquor license and they only take cash, but that is probably why the food is so reasonable. This restaurant has always been pretty good to me. The salsa is really addicting and they give you a lot for your buck. It's been a minute since I've been here but I do recall that they are cash only and closed on Sundays, but well worth popping in for dinner during the week. I am a long time customer at Paco's. I have been eating there since I was very little. The staff has even commented on the fact that they feel like they watched me grow up. Today they made a small mistake. My sisters and I ordered food for lunch and they forgot my meal. I called to make sure I had not been charged for food I did not get. The woman on the phone had a very poor attitude. She told me my order was nowhere on what the girl who took our order had written down. I told her I was in the room when my sister called it in and I heard her say it. The woman put the girl who takes the orders on the phone. I told her that I did not get my order. That girl got all confused and started offering credits. I told her I don't want to take a credit since they had not charged me for it, they had simply forgotten. The woman took the phone back from the girl and started accusing me of trying to get a free meal out of them. This was completely obnoxious and they may have lost a very good customer now. read more
