It's definitely a bit on the sweeter and tangy side. I love how it's saucy on the bottom! I do wish it came with more chicken though. It was a nice portion for around 20 bucks. My friend got the green curry which came out to be more on the watery side. Also as she kept eating it got less green and was more of a beige color? She said that dish was lacking. The Thai tea here is pretty good and extremely sweet! I personally wish it was less sweet. The inside of this place feels cozy and warm. I love all the beautiful Thai decorations around and the workers here are nice. They checked in a lot to see if our dishes all arrived. TDLR: Drunken noodles are good, sweet, tangy and saucy. We ended up ordering chicken satay and egg rolls as appetizers, which both were decent. For entrees, we ordered pineapple fried rice (which you have to ask them to add pineapple to the fried rice item on the menu), beef massaman curry, tom kha gai soup (one with coconut milk), and drunken noodles with chicken. All the entrees were also pretty decent and flavorful, although I did find most of them to be on the saltier side. The meat in the massaman curry did also taste super soft but almost in a canned meat kind of way. We were also served water but everyone in our group felt like the water tasted weird, almost like there was some kind of cleaning supply or chlorine type after taste. We saw that they put lemons but there were no lemon taste in the water. We were all concerned by the taste and ended up not drinking any of the water (despite the food being salty and we really needed some). Overall, not a bad spot outside of the water situation, but not a spot I'd necessarily recommend given the price of dishes and value.

Not everything you see halibut in egg rolls, but I had to get it. the panang curry was up there with some of the best panang curry I've ever had, and it came with a fairly hefty portion of halibut. Chu chee pla was good, although it tasted a bit similar to the panang curry. Pad see ew was very good, and it was quite a huge portion as well. Staff here were very friendly despite being extremely slammed. There were only two people taking care of the entire restaurant and one cook in the back. Despite all that, the food came out at a fairly reasonable pace. Much kudos to them for working so hard. Really enjoyed my trip to Bahn Thai. I guess there really is elite Thai food up in Fairbanks!

There was a migration of Thai people into the Alaska interior for gold mining; when that didn't pan out, many stayed needing a livelihood. Restaurants followed. Initially, the fam and I were supposed to head over to Lemongrass Thai Restaurant but after talking to our local uber driver she talked us into this spot. This was the best decision ever, this hidden gem located in downtown behind 1st street is worth the stop. The customer service very friendly, the floors were a bit sticky but please don't judge them by that because the Thai Food here is insanely delicious! Ordered Pad Kapao Chicken - Garlic sauce, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, basil leaves Pad Pak - Choice of meat with sauteed veggies in garlic sauce Drunken Noodle - Choice of meat stir fried noodles, eggs, veggies and fresh basil Pad zee ew - Choice of meat eggs, stir fried with homemade noodles and broccoli Fresh Spring Rolls - Veggies, soft noodles, eggs, wrapped in rice paper Thai Spring roll - Chicken bean thread, veggies, wrapped in pastry, deep fried - served with chili sauce There were four of us, more than enough! Pro Tip: Because it's tucked away inside an office complex style building, it is a bit confusing to locate from the parking lot, but just follow the signs. To their credit, operating a Thai and Vietnamese fusion restaurant in interior Alaska means higher ingredient import costs. Because delicate rice noodles, fresh bean sprouts, and specific herbs like Thai basil or cilantro cannot be grown locally during the harsh sub-zero winters, restaurants have to fly them in or transport them up via the Alaska Highway which explains the higher prices.
