    Pad Thai Tofu
    Alexia K.

These guys have DELICIOUS pad thai. I get mine with Tofu and it is hot and flavorful every time. I love that it's so close to home and I usually don't have to wait in line. Tofu pad thai is $10 here and the potions are large so its 100% worth it to me. Most of the time I get some and eat half for dinner and the other half for lunch the next day. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to grab a bite to eat after a long day at work.

    Pad Thai - Beef

$38 for 2 platters and 2 smoothies? The "beef" was chewy and totally flavorless. You are basically overpaying for a pile of noodles served out of a makeshift shed in a parking lot. No idea how this spot has good reviews. The people reviewing this place do not know Thai food at all; they're clueless locals. That's what I get for going Thai in central Alaska, serves me right Look elsewhere for your lunch. You've been warned.

Good eggrolls and Thai iced tea! Very satisfying haha I'll have to try the rest of their menu!

I called on for eggrolls and Thai tea to go. There was a small and large option so of course I chose the large. I was greeeted and served by one of the staff members, she was really nice. I'll gladly give a try to the rest of the menu!

Thai orchid never disappoints! Because they're drive thru only I avoid the wait and call ahead for my order and it's always been ready with 15 minutes. It's my go to place for pad Thai. Delicious, great portion, and surprisingly affordable considering it's Alaska.

Like any good Alaskan dining establishment, you'll find this hole in the wall a simple yet worthwhile experience. Try: definitely get the garlic chicken and fresh rolls. Their curry is also 10/10. My friend tried their beef noodle soup which was so flavorful and soul warming.

The staff in the restaurant were nice and we were able to get seated right away during dinner hours. The decor inside was very simple and casual. We ended up ordering chicken satay and egg rolls as appetizers, which both were decent. For entrees, we ordered pineapple fried rice (which you have to ask them to add pineapple to the fried rice item on the menu), beef massaman curry, tom kha gai soup (one with coconut milk), and drunken noodles with chicken. All the entrees were also pretty decent and flavorful, although I did find most of them to be on the saltier side. The meat in the massaman curry did also taste super soft but almost in a canned meat kind of way. We were also served water but everyone in our group felt like the water tasted weird, almost like there was some kind of cleaning supply or chlorine type after taste. We saw that they put lemons but there were no lemon taste in the water. We were all concerned by the taste and ended up not drinking any of the water (despite the food being salty and we really needed some). Overall, not a bad spot outside of the water situation, but not a spot I'd necessarily recommend given the price of dishes and value.

Our princess tour guide mentioned that Fairbanks is known for Thai Food with 20+ restaurants in the…read morecity! According to Northwest Travel and Life - Why so many Thai restaurants in Fairbanks? There was a migration of Thai people into the Alaska interior for gold mining; when that didn't pan out, many stayed needing a livelihood. Restaurants followed. Initially, the fam and I were supposed to head over to Lemongrass Thai Restaurant but after talking to our local uber driver she talked us into this spot. This was the best decision ever, this hidden gem located in downtown behind 1st street is worth the stop. The customer service very friendly, the floors were a bit sticky but please don't judge them by that because the Thai Food here is insanely delicious! Ordered Pad Kapao Chicken - Garlic sauce, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, basil leaves Pad Pak - Choice of meat with sauteed veggies in garlic sauce Drunken Noodle - Choice of meat stir fried noodles, eggs, veggies and fresh basil Pad zee ew - Choice of meat eggs, stir fried with homemade noodles and broccoli Fresh Spring Rolls - Veggies, soft noodles, eggs, wrapped in rice paper Thai Spring roll - Chicken bean thread, veggies, wrapped in pastry, deep fried - served with chili sauce There were four of us, more than enough! We even took some home. I have never been to a place that make their noodles like this. Living in California, I am use to the mass production of them the perfect shape, size and taste. Here everything is made from scratch daily! Not all noodles were the perfect shape or size but the texture and flavor were awesome! I was so happy to see sooo many patrons walk in after us! The only downside which wasn't the restaurant's fault was lyft and uber are basically non-existent - we tried for 30-45 mins to get a ride back to The Princess River lodge. If you are in this dilemma, walk across the street and head to the hotel, ask for taxi services and they will give you maybe 4-5 numbers. Should've don't this after 10 mins of waiting!! Our driver was quick and cheaper than the Uber. Pay them a visit, one of the best Thai food joints I've ever tried!!!

This place was close to the hotel and had good reviews so I gave them a try. Walked in for dinner and a woman with limited English asked if it was "to go?" I explained I wanted to eat here. She seemed disappointed and told me the bathroom was out of order (didn't care and want planning on using the bathroom but thanks for telling me). Ordered drunken noodles with shrimp and she didn't ask me how spicy I wanted my food (I like my food spicy). Food came out pretty quickly. Shrimp were a good size but looking at the dish I wasn't sure it had any NOODLES? On closer review the noodles were too thick and soggy/gooey. It just ruined the entire dish. Flavor wasn't bad (wished it was more spicy) but the gooey noodles were just too much. Fairbanks has lots of Thai options - DONT COME HERE!!!

Because we were the first few in the door, our entrees arrived sooner than others who came after. I was disappointed with the Thai iced tea, it lacked tea flavor and was more of condensed, excessively sweetened milk drink. I could only finish 1/2 and poured out the rest . We ordered 3 dishes and the portions were generous such that we had leftovers the next day. 1. Veggie Tom Yum Soup - was OK but I've had others with better flavor and wouldn't order this again. 2. Chicken pad Thai was the best dish of the bunch but it was very skinny rice noodles. It tasted better as next day leftovers after the flavors marinated overnight. 3. Pork green curry was watery and not green but looked more yellow. We had yellow curry at a Thai restaurant days earlier and thought that curry tasted more authentic and wasn't watery. Overall nice staff with average food.

Alone it was kinda bland but with the sauce it was actually very good. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. Honestly the flavor is very good but it was very unfortunate that the chicken and tofu came out very dry. Had it not been for that I would have given my dish an 8.5/10 but because of it unfortunately I can only give this a 6/10. My buddy got the pad kee ma ( drunken noodles) with chicken and again the chicken was very dry. It was also just kind of a bland flavor. Just a little disappointing. If they maybe added some garlic and a little more sauce I think it would have really elevated the dish. One thing I really like was it seemed like all the sauces were house made which is fantastic. I would still come back here to try some other food. But hopefully they can just get the meat to not be so dry.
