    Pad Thai Tofu
    Alexia K.

These guys have DELICIOUS pad thai. I get mine with Tofu and it is hot and flavorful every time. I love that it's so close to home and I usually don't have to wait in line. Tofu pad thai is $10 here and the potions are large so its 100% worth it to me. Most of the time I get some and eat half for dinner and the other half for lunch the next day. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to grab a bite to eat after a long day at work.

    Pad Thai - Beef

$38 for 2 platters and 2 smoothies? The "beef" was chewy and totally flavorless. You are basically overpaying for a pile of noodles served out of a makeshift shed in a parking lot. No idea how this spot has good reviews. The people reviewing this place do not know Thai food at all; they're clueless locals. That's what I get for going Thai in central Alaska, serves me right Look elsewhere for your lunch. You've been warned.

Good eggrolls and Thai iced tea! Very satisfying haha I'll have to try the rest of their menu!

I called on for eggrolls and Thai tea to go. There was a small and large option so of course I chose the large. I was greeeted and served by one of the staff members, she was really nice. I'll gladly give a try to the rest of the menu!

Thai orchid never disappoints! Because they're drive thru only I avoid the wait and call ahead for my order and it's always been ready with 15 minutes. It's my go to place for pad Thai. Delicious, great portion, and surprisingly affordable considering it's Alaska.

The staff in the restaurant were nice and we were able to get seated right away during dinner hours. The decor inside was very simple and casual. We ended up ordering chicken satay and egg rolls as appetizers, which both were decent. For entrees, we ordered pineapple fried rice (which you have to ask them to add pineapple to the fried rice item on the menu), beef massaman curry, tom kha gai soup (one with coconut milk), and drunken noodles with chicken. All the entrees were also pretty decent and flavorful, although I did find most of them to be on the saltier side. The meat in the massaman curry did also taste super soft but almost in a canned meat kind of way. We were also served water but everyone in our group felt like the water tasted weird, almost like there was some kind of cleaning supply or chlorine type after taste. We saw that they put lemons but there were no lemon taste in the water. We were all concerned by the taste and ended up not drinking any of the water (despite the food being salty and we really needed some). Overall, not a bad spot outside of the water situation, but not a spot I'd necessarily recommend given the price of dishes and value.

They put a lot of beef, but the beef is a little on the chewy side. The tom yum is a bit salty for me. It would be better to eat with rice instead of drinking the soup on its own.

Ordered the Halibut Egg Rolls, Panang Curry with Halibut (which is not a normal menu item), Chu Chee Pla with Salmon, and Pad See Ew with Beef (which I have to order at every Thai restaurant I go to). I must say, this was up there with some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Not everything you see halibut in egg rolls, but I had to get it. the panang curry was up there with some of the best panang curry I've ever had, and it came with a fairly hefty portion of halibut. Chu chee pla was good, although it tasted a bit similar to the panang curry. Pad see ew was very good, and it was quite a huge portion as well. Staff here were very friendly despite being extremely slammed. There were only two people taking care of the entire restaurant and one cook in the back. Despite all that, the food came out at a fairly reasonable pace. Much kudos to them for working so hard. Really enjoyed my trip to Bahn Thai. I guess there really is elite Thai food up in Fairbanks!

We got the halibut egg rolls, which was freshly fried and a bit more refreshing than a regular one because of the halibut. The ginger fish dish comes with either halibut or salmon. We opted for salmon and it was overcooked but the ginger sauce was very good. Once we broke down the salmon to soak up the sauce, it was tastier to eat. There were 4 small pieces. We also appreciated the loads of vegetables that come with this dish - strange how much we appreciate veggies in AK. We wonder if the traditional Thai dishes are the way to go here, but our meal was still good.

Siam Square was not very good at all. It is located in an office-like space inside a building, and…read morethe interior was not well kept up. To top it off, the prices are quite expensive for what you get. The food really missed the mark. Pad Thai noodles were very mushy, and the sauce was way too sweet. Meatball Pho had a strange, slightly off taste that just didn't seem right. I'd skip the complex noodle soups and stickier noodle dishes in favor of a basic fried rice or a standard curry which might be a safer bet. (Check out the attached photos to see the space and the menu pics for pricing). Pro Tip: Because it's tucked away inside an office complex style building, it is a bit confusing to locate from the parking lot, but just follow the signs. To their credit, operating a Thai and Vietnamese fusion restaurant in interior Alaska means higher ingredient import costs. Because delicate rice noodles, fresh bean sprouts, and specific herbs like Thai basil or cilantro cannot be grown locally during the harsh sub-zero winters, restaurants have to fly them in or transport them up via the Alaska Highway which explains the higher prices.

The inside of the restaurant appeared casual but their seats were comfortable and tables were clean. As I looked through the menu, it was the first time I have seen pho offered at a Thai restaurant. My dad was curious about the Thai version of the Vietnamese soup, so he ordered the Pho with Chicken. The pho was also served with fresh basil, bean sprouts, and chopped peanuts. He thought the broth tasted good even though it was not the authentic kind. My mom loved her Pad Thai with tofu, while my sister enjoyed her Pad Z Ew with tofu. I ordered the Pa-Nang curry with chicken which came with rice and loved how it had a mild spice with a hint of coconut milk flavor but was tasty. I was also surprised at how generous the portions were considering the items were from their lunch menu. Important things to note: -I recommend dining in during the early afternoon because it did get busy at mid-afternoon. -Dine-in ends at 8:30pm but they will accept take out orders until they close at 9pm. -To enter the restaurant, you have to go through the Regency Court Mall first. -They are closed on Tuesdays Thank you to the staff at Siam Square for providing Thai food that resembles a home cooked meal.

Because we were the first few in the door, our entrees arrived sooner than others who came after. I was disappointed with the Thai iced tea, it lacked tea flavor and was more of condensed, excessively sweetened milk drink. I could only finish 1/2 and poured out the rest . We ordered 3 dishes and the portions were generous such that we had leftovers the next day. 1. Veggie Tom Yum Soup - was OK but I've had others with better flavor and wouldn't order this again. 2. Chicken pad Thai was the best dish of the bunch but it was very skinny rice noodles. It tasted better as next day leftovers after the flavors marinated overnight. 3.
