I see great review about this place and decided to try out the pad thai noodle and i rated a 3 for the quality of shrimp, however, the noodle and taste is little sour for me. Noodle is a little dry not juicy (or moist) enough as I eat pad thai noodle at many different places. I am not confirm if this is an authentic thai restaurant. Tofu is great but dipping sauce is not meeting that sweetness of the thai sauce. Staff is very nice. read more

We each ordered Pad Thai - Chicken, Shrimp, & Beef (all 'mild') and each order was a fantabulous thumps-up (including my picky daughter). Lovely hostess/server. I was surprised with a tiny bowl of sweet soup and chicken toast. The flavors and presentation were terrific. The chicken pad thai with peanuts was delicious, presented with a large orange twist and fresh sprouts. I requested water with no ice and that is what I received. When we arrived, the hostess/waiter let us know there would be a bit of a wait for the food since they were busy for Valentine's Day weekend. We really appreciated the heads-up and were happy to be seated. The restaurant is small but beautifully decorated with Thai décor. It has such a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Watching everyone's meals pass by made me want to order everything on the menu because it all looked so delicious and well prepared. When our food finally arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait. The food is wonderful. Love the coconut shrimp soup. It's not as horribly salty as other Thai restaurants. The owner is great. The only thing that is bad is their tablecloths. THEY DO NOT CHANGE THEIR TABLECLOTHS. They have a server come out with a small tub of water and spot clean the the tablecloths. That is so terribly unsanitary and disgusting and keeps us from going back. People wipe their dirty fingers, sneeze, rub gross stuff on tablecloths. If you don't want to pay for linen service then DO NOT USE tablecloths! I swear I dont understand it. I went to Pad Thai for lunch and the place was quite busy. Lunch menus have decent options and it came with a complimentary coconut soup, which is quite delicious btw. I ordered Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) and spring rolls. Spring rolls are small, but do have a homemade taste to them. I love their Pad Khee Mao, it's so hard to find a place that serve flat rice noodle, and this dish from Pad Thai totally satisfy my craving. The flavor was spot on, it was actually spicy. The beef has good seasoning and also quite tender. I'm actually excited to try their other dishes next time. Lunch menu prices are aso reasonable! The lady who served us was friendly and quick, she ran the whole place herself but the food came out quick, drinks are always full, and she was smiling the whole time. This place was a very nice & cozy Thai restaurant. My Framily and I enjoyed our time dining here. There was a food option for everyone. Those who ate meat and those who didn't. I got the Tom Kha Kai soup and it hit just the spot. I also got a boba drink sans the boba. It was a pretty sweet treat. At first the manager/owner didn't want to honor the 10% off, our entire order, check in deal they have here on their Yelp page. But after we kept showing her the deal listed she finally edited our bill. Usually we see how they handle such situations and that can determine if we just add that back onto the tip or not. We've been going since Pad Thai opened. We find it very hard to find decent Thai restaurants throughout Cumberland, Lancaster, and Berks counties. Fortunately, Pad Thai stands apart. The Pad Thai is my wife's very favorite dish and this is the only place that prepares it authentically and delicious. We can make a meal out of the Emerald Dumplings alone. I would point out that we went to Chinatown NYC a few years ago looking forward to the dim sums. Pad Thai's Emerald Dumplings were 1000% better than anything we ordered in NYC. I usually order the tofu and ask for it "Thai Hot", and does it come out hot!! I love it!!! On top of all this, the owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. read more

This is one of our go-to spots for Thai takeout on the west shore. Everything is fresh and flavorful. My wife and I will always have a soft spot for this place because they once made her a special order of khao soi, which is not on their menu. If I have a complaint, it's that the chef seems to be a little heavy on the onions. I love onions, but they do tend to overwhelm the other fantastic flavors in the dishes here. I really did not expect much from a Thai restaurant in a suburban shopping center, but the food was absolutely fantastic. It definitely rivals some of the best Thai food that I've had in D.C., Bethesda, and Philly. I ordered the Beef Pad See Ew at the medium spice level after seeing it recommended many times in the restaurant's Yelp reviews. I typically go with Pork Pad See Ew, but I didn't want the meat to be too dry and that can sometimes be an issue with pork. The sauce was a perfect balance of savory and sweet, and the rice noodles and Chinese broccoli were tender. I would have liked for the beef to be a bit more tender, but I was happy with the flavor. I doubled the beef for $2.00, but realized after receiving it, that it would have been perfectly fine with the standard amount of beef. The total for my portion of the order came to about $20 with tip. My husband and I are so happy to have found a Thai place nearby. We plan to have a date night here soon! read more

Usually we go with Pad See-Ew Chicken or Drunken Noodle. Today we had a very poor experience. We ordered 2 Drunken Noodles with Chicken to go. They both had an insane amount of raw onions in them. The noodles & remainder of the dish were runny, poorly prepared. See picture for example (yes, we actually ate a decent amount of onions too & STILL extracted nearly a full dish of them). I actually took the dish of onions back inside to show them, and was told "next time say no onions if you don't like them"... No, we actually eat here all the time & it's never been prepared like this. They didn't take feedback very well, which is a shame because they're not exactly the cheapest spot in town. I'd give them a 3.5 prior to bad experience, but have to bring that down based off recent visits. read more

We have dined here three or four times I over the past year and overall both the service and the food have been outstanding. My favorite is the chicken with cashew nuts which is delicious and ranks up there with the best cashew chicken I've had anywhere. My wife's favorite is drunken noodles with pork... Again which she feels is as good as she has had anywhere. A friend recently had the Bangkok chicken and he also thought it was excellent. The only dish that I have had that I did not care for at this restaurant was crispy duck... Which definitely was not crispy and was soft and gooey. (This is the only reason that I gave a four-star, rather than a five star review) Not sure if that is the way it served every night or I just caught it on a bad night? The fried Calamari appetizer is also outstanding with a very nice sweet and spicy sauce, fresh carrot strings, and done in a crispy tempura batter This is the best Thai restaurant we have found in the Harrisburg area and we will definitely keep dining here. read more

We called, and the lovely person was so kind and right away offered to make a new one or refund that item since it was an online order. I just honestly can't stress enough how much I love this place. My philosophy is, if a Thai restaurant can't make good Pad Thai then everything else is probably not good either. I must say I was very impressed. We have now eaten here twice and picked up food once. The people there are very kind and obviously enjoy their customers! Always very friendly. The food? WOW!!! We have had several items each time and all are some of the best we've had in this area. We are lucky to have several good Thai restaurants but for overall consistency and value, we pick this place. Green Papaya salad is phenomenal. The Pad Thai, as is their name, is exceptional and fresh tasting. Anything you get with shrimp will make you wonder why they aren't called "giants" instead of "shrimps"! We love a spicy curry and we tried several. They easily offer to make it at whatever level you want including mild to none. All with tons of vegetables and great choices of curries. Next time we are going to try a whole fish. It sounds pricey but it will easily feed 2-3 people and you most likely will have leftovers. We highly recommend this restaurant. read more

We have been customers of Pad Thai since they opened. The food is true Thai and the menu is extensive. I am a strict vegetarian and, while there is a vegetarian section on the menu, they will customize many other menu options to meet my dietary needs. I like a little Thai heat but my partner likes her dishes mild - never a problem, and always prepared as we have asked. We have tried the other Thai restaurant in the Gateway Plaza on the Carlisle Pike and, for us, there is no comparison in terms of authenticity, atmosphere, and service. Pad Thai is a much more welcoming restaurant, and the owner is so sweet and hands-on. The fact that it's a BYOB is a real plus. You won't be disappointed! read more

We've been to Pad Thai Restaurant a couple of times and have enjoyed our visits. On a Friday night at 7:30pm, there was only one other table at the restaurant, so it was really empty. We ended up here because the nearby "Chalit's Thai Bistro" didn't have tables available until 9pm. At any rate, the service and food was good at Pad Thai. We ordered the pad thai with shrimp and the Gang Panang with chicken, which the waitress said was one of their most popular dishes. For drinks, we ordered the Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee; both were average, although I'm realizing I'm not really a fan of Thai iced coffee. The dishes tasted very good and were excellently presented. We realized the Gang Panang with medium spice was a bit spicy, not sweat inducing but enough to make you pace yourself. Overall, Pad Thai is a good Thai restaurant that's a middle ground between the nearby Chalit, which in our experience served really high quality but low quantity food while Bangkok Wok has plenty of food although generally of average quality. read more

Since moving back from the west coast we have been searching for a place to be our 'go to' for Thai food. We have tried a few places and the best we had found was pretty far away. The other places were underwhelming. Today we finally took the chance and tried out Pad Thai Restaurant. We decided to order it as takeout. I walked into the restaurant and placed our order. I was welcomed by the staff and they quickly took the order. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. The atmosphere was welcoming and well designed. Now to the important bits...the food. I have found that many for the Thai restaurants in the area the food was under seasoned and lacked the heat that is traditionally found in the dishes. We ordered two versions of the chicken Pad Thai. One mild and the other medium. They were both seasoned well and met expectations. I preferred the mild (which still had heat to it) and my wife prepared the medium. The perfect version for us would be between the two. We are excited to find our new go to Thai place. Look forward to trying more of their food! read more

4 stars because they claim they deliver, but only when they feel like it. The food is very delicious and on several levels, much better than Bangkok wok. I ordered their Tom Yum soup and it was very rich and warming. Their calamari is so simple, that you can appreciate it's natural flavor and their fantastic dipping sauce ties it all in together very nicely. Their sesame chicken was unique and delightful. For the less experimental pallet, it was prepped different from standard chinese style sesame chickens. Lightly breaded and sauced, this was a nice change from the standard. Good pad thai! I liked it better than Bangkok wok. It was made in a more traditional style. Though Bangkok has great and unique pad thai, I do like to fall back on what I am used to. Also, the dine in is much better with service than bangkok. I would certainly recommend stopping here for thai if you are in the area. The interior is nice, the dine in service is good too. My only gripe is that on 3 different occasions, I have called a delivery order and they say they are too busy. So I settle for take out. When I walked in to pick up my order, only 2 tables are taken. I have called on different days and different times. So they are always busy? Me thinks not! Don't advertise delivery if you don't feel like doing it. read more
