My appointments got switched twice without my permission. I set up a certain day & time because that is the time I could give them. After I let them know that they had changed my appointment without my knowledge the second time, they told me I needed to work with their schedule. I had to ask for time off from work. If I have to I will but after a company tries to work with me around my schedule. I just felt like I wasn't treated like a person on numerous occasions by the receptionists & manager (dentist was a very nice lady). So unless you like waiting an hour to be seen, having your appointment changed without your consent, someone demanding you take time off work, & the front desk ladies looking more at their computers than at you then please avoid this place. read more

Worst Periodontics/ dental specialist ever. Do not go to this dental clinic. I almost went ahead with a deep cleaning treatment for $740 with insurance. Luckily i was to read the reviews here and cancelled it. Met with Paul - very canny. My copay for deep cleaning per quad is $60. But they charge extra for Gingival Irrigation of $125 per quad. 4 quad that totals $740. When I called my primary care dentist they only charge my copay of $60 and no other charges. I am just glad that i was able to get out of a scam. The periodontist, Dr. Parham, did not look professional either. Kept asking what the dentists have told me and said that he's given more than enough information since I am not with them. I came in for a specialist and did not really get the answers to my questions. I'm just surprised Paddison Dental in Norwalk is still in business. read more

From the first examination, to each procedure needed done, the both dentists and techs made me feel safe and comfortable. Always keeping me informed with knowledge of what was going on. This is the worst consultation experience I've encountered. The receptionist was friendly and so were the dental assistants, unfortunately they are not the ones that would directly treat my child. The dentist "Dr. Jane" had a poor service approach. Starting off with a demeaning tone and the question, "why are you here" is not the approach one should have when seeing the patient for the first time. We were referred by our insurance. She continued to question why my son wasn't seen somewhere else for the treatment of a cavity. If she bothered to check his chart or spoke to the receptionist she would have all the information needed, instead of sounding like we made a mistake walking into this office. She was focused on his chipped tooth when we told her we were here for a cavity. Then she claimed he had a cavity on the front tooth then later said he was fine and didn't need treatment. She said well no it's not a cavity but it's prone to infection, which we already know. I love doctors and respect all the time, expertise and energy that goes into their profession but I will not stand for awful customer service. It costs nothing to be respectful and well mannered. You get what you give. I was respectful to all staff and expected the same so here is a big feedback to improve your rating, show some empathy and bed side manner that shows you care. Also, offering gift cards for a 5 star rating is not sustainable and does not address the problem. Provide great service and the true great ratings will follow. read more

Now I can write about my experience. Went in for a cracked tooth ( lucky for me I wasn't in any pain) the dentist tells me it is bad you will need a specialist and some other work done, I said okay how much , she sent in Paul the office manager to talk with me and present me with a 2800 bill out of pocket. this was after insurance . I told him - well since I'm not in pain I'm going to get a second opinion please provide me with the recommended treatment you want to do so I can check out another dentist . I went to my old dentist (he no longer accepts my insurance ) and he said the dentist is right you need a specialist but this other work is unnecessary. He recommended me to another dr who accepted my insurance and I went and he too said I need a specialist but the other recommended is not necessary. He sent me to a specialist , I contacted my insurance let them know what was going on they quickly approved the work done at the specialist recommended by the 3rd dentist and out of pocket I spent $505.00 dollars. I'm thankful that I wasn't in pain, because had I been , and anyone who has had toothache pain you just want it to stop, I would have agreed to the 2800.00 dollars Paddison Dental wanted to charge me. (2300 over what I ended up spending ) I'm thinking I was probably overcharged for my sons braces . If you have time to really select a dentist I suggest you really do your homework and don't be afraid of getting second options. I do have to laugh at the deep cleaning Paul said I needed to clean the area of the cracked tooth - I had said well I'm going to get a second opinion, what's the point when I'm not doing the work here he said you have to keep he area clean, I said okay but I do plan on eating this cleaning that you want to do and charge me hundreds for will you guarantee it won't get dirty as I eat ... he said no then I said then no need for this treatment right now thank you - off I went - I only hope they have more compassion when people are in pain - because taking advantage when people are vulnerable is just plain cruel read more

Ive been coming here for more than 5 years now, this was long overdue. This place is amazing I love the CSR provided by all the staff, including the Drs, and Manager. My favorite person here is Yolanda she is helpful, very attentive, understandable and always smiling love her. Any time I have an issue and it needs attention like ASAP they are good at doing that. They accommodated me when I was running late and still were able to see me in a decent time. Very patient friendly and genuine. They recommended a treatment plan that would be good for my budget and for my overall health for an aesthetically pleasing smile that other orthodontist didn't. Very unsympathetic staff, my daughter was in pain all weekend. Her cheek is swollen and her jaw is very tender. Called Paddison Dental and clearly explained the urgency of the situation. The customer service representative that answered the call was very indifferent and said the earliest they could see her was in a few days! Called my insurance and explained what had happened and they stated that when it's an emergency all dentists should try their best to accommodate the patient ASAP. Their specialist is only in a few times a month. Appointments are hard to get. That's the positive side of this review. Horrible bedside manner with kids. My oldest boy suffered excessively getting fillings done. Went here for my wisdom teeth extraction and very pleased with both the cost and procedure. Dentists are very kind and the staff are extremely helpful and do everything they can to make you comfy. Despite all the other reviews given to this dentistry, I choose to give this place 5 stars. As for the surgery, I was given a pill and then dental shots. I was nervous but it went quick and fast with minimal pain. After waiting for a bit, the extraction of the wisdom teeth and bone graphing was painless and was over in 5 minutes. The cost was very cheap actually. They're very straightforward when discussing the cost. Thank you, will recommend this place and come here again. read more

I have had a deep cleaning and two extractions here. none of which caused me any pain or discomfort during the sessions. i hate needles and expected the numbing processes to be painful, but it was not. Do not go there! I went for a really bad toothache with infection about about 2 months ago. They took ×-rays and and took detailed pics in my mouth ( I know I need 1 other work but geez I was in PAIN!!) all the sudden they said I needed deep cleaning for $500 and all this other work that the estimate total was $5000.00!!! And he said that's only half of what you need.. I don't have insurance so I told him I'd talk it over with my husband and as for my tooth pain it was too expensive for the root canal they did not even want to give me antibiotics for the infection.. I was refereed to paddison dental group for emergency dental surgery by my insurance. I have mixed feelings about this office. First and foremost, the dentist - Dr. Shirazi was VERY nice. I am a very, very nervous person when it comes to dentist and he was very patient with me. He kept asking me if I was okay and making sure I was in no pain during surgery. I had two wisdom teeth removed - one of them with an infection (that's what happens when you wait too long) However, the office staff... not so nice... and yeah, all they want is your money! I mean, they sold me this mouthwash, supposedly it was a antibiotic for $130!!! I was in so much pain (after surgery) that I just paid it... I really wish they would re-visit that area of the business. Costumer service is very important. They do have nice dentists and the assistants are nice too. But the office staff could use some costumer service seminars here and there... I thought for a moment to switch dentists, but nah! The shadiest and most rudest dentist office I've ever been to. I absolutely do not plan on coming back nor do I recommend this dentist to anyone. I came here attempting to find a new dentist closer to my home. Dr. Praham seemed fine at first but after my exam I was handed a large bill (mines was literally $2555 with insurance!) with a ton of dental jargon from Paul (billing guy). I didn't understand the bill so I asked both of them questions. It seemed to me that they are not use to patients asking questions because they were irritated with me asking questions. As a patient, I am allowed to ask questions if I do not understand my treatment plan. Later, I came back to this dentist for my teeth cleaning only. Carmen did my teeth cleaning. She did not even introduce herself nor verify my name when she walked into my room. She seemed as if she did not want to be there. She was very quick (20 mins top) and was rough (made me bleed). And the shadiest thing happened that day. At the end of my visit, I was rinsing out my mouth and Carmen was on the computer. I saw a message pop up on the screen that said "please do not have Diamond see this message". What kind of dental office treats patients like this? VERY SHADY! Overall, Dr. Praham and her staff (Paul and the red headed lady) were very unwelcoming and rude. I work in a clinical setting myself and I would NEVER treat my patients like they treated me. The only person with good patient etiquette seemed to be Lizeth (helpful front desk lady). Paul, Dr. Praham and red headed lady should really learn some basic patient etiquette from her. Also my advice if you still decide to go here, review your treatment plan with your dental insurance. They will tell you what items are not necessary and just being charged for money. For example, "gingival irrigation" is an antibiotic for teeth "scaling" (fancy word for a regular cleaning). They charge $125 (not covered by insurance) for it. It is optional, but they don't tell you that. Also they bill you for applying "desensitizing medicament" for a resin based composite filling (tooth colored cavity filling). Check your dental benefits coverage because "desensitizing medicament" should be included in the cost for the filling (cavity). It shouldn't be billed separately. And most importantly don't be afraid to ask questions if you need clarification. read more

Absolutely love this practice and the staff! From my very first visit at the office, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable...love the pleasant environment of the offiice itself. I had the most wonderful experience, getting my teeth cleaned and a tooth worked on which was giving me a tough time. Paul the office manager helped me with my finance and explained everything in detail and now i have a better understanding on how my insurance works. This place is a scam. They make up stuff and show you xrays. It's crazy how they get you to pay for treatment you never needed. After coming here I was told I had 4 cavities, a cracked molar and my 15 yr old needed surgery to get her wisdom teeth out and also had cavities. I thought it was pretty weird because we've always had good dental hygiene. They said we needed treatment ASAP and wanted us to sign for thousands of dollars worth of fake treatment. I switched, and went to a bigger dental office ( Western Dental ) and all we needed was a cleaning and a polish. My dentist laughed at me when I asked them about my cavities and my daughters wisdom teeth. Western dental showed me all of our xrays and made sure our names matched our xrays. People!!!! Make sure your xrays are legit and that the treatment needed is really needed. Get a second opinion!!! If I were you, I'd skip this place. read more

IN SHORT: none of the staff cares about you at this place (ESPECIALLY not the receptionists), all they care about is how much money they can make from you and the earliest they can schedule you to come back for them to make more money off of you. Find a different office to go to! First time coming in, i got the exam and quick cleaning. Their dentist literally will spend at the most 5 minutes on you. It's as if they're factory workers and you're just a product on the assembly line. I havent visited the dentist in years so I knew I def had cavities but the dentist did not mention anything. As soon as I mentioned that I wanted to fix a chip tooth he actually started conversing with me. Total for 2 minutes worth of grinding one of my tooth- $300. Second time coming back, same dreadful experience. Oh but this time the dentist informed me that I had 4 critical cavities! So i developed 4 deep cavities within 6 months? Basically they just didn't care enough on my first visit to inform there and then but let it get worse. So after the dentist spends 5 minute of her precious time cleaning and scraping here and there for a bit she leaves before my chair even raised. The billing guy comes in and explains the cavities and the work that needed to be done very thoroughly rather then the dentist just saying you got 4 cavities and hey, floss more. Spent more time with the billing guy than the dentist! So I go back into the reception office and the first thing the receptionist asks is so when are you available for your next appointment? Appointments never run on time. The front office is rude and act as though you are an inconvenience to them; no matter what the situation is. Yoli and Rosalina are basically the only ones that are polite and helpful. Don't bother to ask questions, all you will receive is an irritated 2 word response. They need to take some basic etiquette or customer service classes ASAP. Be prepared to waste A LOT of time waiting for appointments. Even after they've called you back you'll be waiting. Wish there was no star to give!!! Went in for a second opinion on a root canal job. Lizzette(front office personnel) was very nice and the dentist assistant who took the strays was also nice. Rosalinda was initially nice until she realized I wasn't paying out of pocket $660(out of pocket) for a root canal(not including crown build-up afterwards). She tried to upcharge literally EVERY item/scope of work on a root canal that should be part of one job. I have DeltaCare (HMO plan) which Paddison dental accepts and per my insurance, my cost for a root canal PLUS crown was to cost no more than $300 out of pocket. Rosalinda, "Rosa" gave me a bill of $2700 out of pocket expense!! And I do have dental insurance they accept!!! I asked for cost/breakdown to explain the fee. According to her, there's a $495 for for antibiotic treatment needed for the root canal and that wasn't covered by my insurance(and my insurance says that's incorrect, that is supposed to be part of the root canal process. Lest I forget, when Rosa called my insurance and confirmed there were scrupulous charges, she did not apologize for her "mistakes" and STILL TRIED charging for other unapproved fees. AND then, she told me the new out of pocket cost for one root canal is now $1070. I guess that's my punishment for calling my insurance for verification Essentially, most of the items/codes I was been charged for actually has $0 deductible but Paddison Dental was upcharging on these items. When I confronted Rosalinda about this findings, she says "what do you want me to do?Your insurance cannot tell us what to do"! So unprofessional! What a shame! Ironically, the first dentist (Oceanheights dental, Dr. Kim) I went to didn't accept my insurance and he was only charging $1250 out of pocket cost for root canal AND crown, plus no charge for "medication/antibiotics". They wanted me to pay out of pocket because in their opinion the insurance would not cover treatment needed. I requested it still be submitted so I have proof of denial regardless [emphasis added] not to mention my right to appeal the process. They denied me if this. The staff is rude and MISLEADING!!!! More so, Rosaline. She had the audacity to lie to me about submitting the information to the insurance company when in fact she did not. I called the insurance company on several different occasions only to be told they did not know what code to use, etc. While sharing how disappointed I was with Rosaline, she hung up on me. The funny thing is it was after she hung up on me that the isurance company finally received the info (2 hours before the scheduled procedure). I was given specific info from the insurance company that proved Rosaline story to be false, in addition to the info I already knew. She should have been upfront and honest. Needless to say I did not have procedure done here. Since I was dealing with the insurance company directly, they referred my daughter to another Endo via expedited request. This is fair warning. Do not go here ever. Do not go here for anything. Not even a checkup. First of all, Paul, the office manager, is a huge scam artist. They make it sound like they will give discounts and help you to finance the bill, but really what they do behind your back is submit large fraudulent claims to your insurance company. I went in for tooth pain, Was told i needed 2 root canals, Fine. One of the tooth canals ended up being an extraction, I guess the bone calcified? and they had to extract it. IT was the worst pain of my life. She twisted and pulled and ended up deforming my bone in my jaw. what a joke!!! After all that trauma,they slapped a temporary bridge on my teeth after doing 2 root canals. My gums werent even healed. It was way too early to put on a bridge, and somehow their shoddy crappy dental work caused another tooth to that was supposed to be part of my bridge to act up.IT was the worst pain of my life. I had to take Hydrocodone just to try and cope and I had to miss work. I ended up having to go to another dental office to get a third root canal in the same area, and even that dental office said the bridge shouldnt have been placed too early. The bridge is risen up above my gums since they put on a temporary bridge without giving my gums chance to heal. After all of this ordeal, i went and consulted a different dentist who told me it was good to wait at least 3 months to get a bridge, to allow the gums to heal, otherwise the bridge wouldnt fit correctly, which is what happened with my temporary bridge. After all of this, I called Paddison dental, because after the horrible experience i had there i wasnt going to pay them for dental work. I nicely asked that they resubmit the charge for the $4700.00 they charged to a credit card they opened for dental work, and all they said was i was approved for the full amount needed for my work. What they didnt tell me was that the card was opened for $16000.00. They never disclosed this information to me. Also, they opened an $800.00 care credit account without my permission. So, under the guise of seeing WHAT you are approved for, they actually just open both credit accounts and charge whatever they feel like. Also, without my permission or approval, they charged $4700.00 for dental work they didnt even do! I called several times to dispute the charge, as they had messed up my mouth i wasnt going to trust them. They wouldnt budge, Paul would not return my calls. I had to take legal action against this firm, and dispute the charge they put on the credit card they opened up since i didnt receive any of the work they charged me for. Once i disputed the charge with the credit card they opened in my name for dental work they didnt even do, they resubmitted all of the charges to my insurance company even though they didnt provide any of that work either. This is what i am telling you, they will charge whatever and whoever to try and get thei money. So now i have to dispute their charges to Aetna as well, since they submitted fraudulent billing charges to Aetna. I am taking this dental office to court over this. They should not be allowed to continue with these shady and unethical practices. I promise you, Read the other reviews here, all they do is overcharge an exorbitant amount of fees for work they do not even do. I had to take legal action and am continuing to do so, since they would not adjust the charges for services they never provided. They engage heavily in dental insurance fraud as well, since they bill knowing good and well services were never rendered or provided. Once i disputed the charges with my credit card they fraudulently opened, They billed by insurance $11,300.00. Eleven thousand dollars for 2 root canals? Really??? How ridiculous. I am disputing that with my insurance too. This whole office has caused me nothing but greif and headaches. Please let me be clear. This dental office is a joke its a scam and they will take you for every dollar they can get and they will charge you and Not only is the work shoddy and done incorrectly, they overcharge and under perform the work! What a joke!! Do not go here. The dentist does awful work and they rush it. Trust me, they will also tell you that you have gum disease and need a $400 cleaning for periodontal disease.
