I like to sit at the bar and the bartender that is there most of the time is awesome--so helpful, friendly and efficient. However, the service yesterday was very lacking. We counted 11 staff members just standing around and talking to each other while totally ignoring us. Three were at the end of the bar and we sat there for about 5-10 minutes before the bartender came out from the kitchen and gave us a menu. We were the only ones sitting at the bar and it would have been nice if one of those three employees had told us that the bartender would be coming out soon or at least give us a menu. The bartender was very good though--quite friendly and helpful--she gave us several samples of beer and food recommendations. We ordered the bites and a mushroom Swiss burger which came out exceedingly fast and both were very good. We had several Giddy Goats which were super tasty and cold...my boyfriend isn't a huge fan of stouts but he loved this one! We checked out the store on our way out and my boyfriend decided to buy a six-pack to go. He went back to the bar, holding his wallet out to pay but all the employees just ignored him for several minutes so he got tired of waiting and left without buying it. We don't understand why there were so many employees milling around doing nothing and ignoring patrons? Are the employees not taught to cover various tasks? Even so, they should be aware of the customers' needs and find the employee responsible for that task. I could understand if it was super busy but it was a Sunday afternoon and the place was nearly empty . I love this place and will continue to be a regular customer but hope for much better service next time!

Order your beer then head outside. The outside area is amazing! They have so many outdoor tables and a huge grassy area with a stage for music. You can sit at one of the many picnic tables or bring chairs, blankets etc and sit on the sprawling grassy area. The grassy area is expansive and behind it is a wooded area with so many trees that provide shade. They often have music on the outdoor stage and it can get crowded.
