We got two pizzas, one classic margarita and the Brocwell. We really enjoyed both of them. Love the thin crust. Doesn't make you feel overly full and the flavors were yummy! Love the atmosphere being in the park. Service was fast and convenient. Enjoyed being able to watch the game on the screens while being covered on the patio. Will come back!

Whenever we are wanting to sit outside and have an adult beverage, we usually end up coming here. There's usually a little bit of a line to get food and drinks, but it moves pretty quickly. Employees are always very friendly. I tried the coconut espresso martini this time around and it was delicious. My husband had a whiskey sour and enjoyed it as well. My daughter got a cherry lemonade and really liked it. I love that it is dog friendly so there's usually loads of puppies to pet. We really like animals so that is a feature that we really enjoy. I have not tried the food. It's located in Francis Park so there are lot of kids running around. It's a very family friendly area.

I feel like all winter, I hold on, waiting for PATIO SEASON. Then of course I rate the best patios all summer long, because at home I am deprived of my own personal outdoor space. This Rockwell location is so close, it may as well be my own personal outdoor space. I remember the neighbors voting against this for Rockwell and I have to imagine those people are eating their words now. This is the best outdoor space in STL, if not the best, at least top 5. They have fans for when the weather is sweltering, they have water out and ready, they have great seating and even a fireplace to extend their season. You get a great dreamy walk (really it's not that far) to Rockwell, in the center of the park and before you know it you can see the pergolas with twinkle lights, also my favorite. I understand they have coffee and maybe pastries in the mornings, but I have not gotten to take advantage of this beautiful space in the morning.

What a great place to come on a beautiful Thursday evening. The market is at the park and why not stop by and have a beer and pizza afterwards. Loved sitting here watching everybody out and about playing at the park and on the tennis courts. When we went up to order, we were surprised how many items on the menu had an X on them as they were out of them especially for the beers considering this is a beer place. What we did order was good and we enjoyed it.

Nice little terrace on the edge of Francis Park. Drinks were on the pricey side ($11-13 a piece) but they were extremely strong to make up for it. The food was slightly above concession stand quality. The Texan Pizza was tasty but the hot honey was doing a lot of the work. Caprese Sandwich and the Hot Dog were fine. All the workers in the stand were friendly and everything was ready for pick-up pretty quickly after ordering.

A really great place to hang out when the weather is nice! There is plenty of seating for groups of any size. They have drinks for everyone, even kids. We loved the pretzel bites and the margarita pizza! Only suggestion is if you are wanting pizza to get there a little earlier because both times I have come, they ran out pretty early in the night!

We walked through St. Francis park to get some food and drinks at Rockwell Beer Garden. I ordered a lemonade and pizza Margherita. They text you when your order is ready. It's all outside sitting under covered picnic tables with fans. The pizza Margherita was good. It was cooked perfectly. The pizza could use more basil and it was missing thin slices of tomatoes. The lemonade didn't taste freshly squeezed but who does nowadays. The atmosphere is the key at this restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff.

What a cute location located in the park! You order at a "stand" and chose whatever seat you want. It's awesome you can chose the picnic tables or just have your own picnic in the park. The selection of foods was impressive, I have to come back for the pizzas. The beers were great and cold. I loved that on Thursday in the summer there is a farmers market. That was fun to walk around and grab more goodies. There is tons of parking around the park you do have to walk a bit to actually get to the beer garden but it's a nice walk.

Super fun family friendly spot to hangout! Had great food, decent drink options for beer and wine. Workers were nice and even made an off menu Espresso martini! Right next to playground, tennis and pickleball courts. I look forward to going again! Pizza and pretzels were delicious too!

We visited Rockwell Beer Garden for the first time during the week and I was pretty busy. We waited in a long line to order but they kept it moving pretty well. My husband ordered a beer and I got a tequila cocktail which were both good. We also ordered the pepperoni and Emilia pizzas to share with family. The pizza was good we ate all of that and probably could have had one more with our two kids. I did notice that there were a ton of families enjoying this space so it might be worthwhile to add some kids items to the menu.

I came here on a date and that was the best, light but filling pizza I've ever had here in St. Louis. Everyone else can keep Imo's. This place is truly a hidden gem for pizza!

Checked out Rockwell Beer Garden for an early happy hour, what a cool neighborhood vibe! This awesome little hangout is in the middle of Francis Park, so you can come walk your dog, play pickleball, tennis, do yoga, chase butterflies, whatever...and then stop off for a relaxing drink or two and have some noms (really good noms by the way!) We happened to arrive right after a quick rain shower had gone through so everything was a bit damp but that didn't stop people from showing up! They have their Rockwell beer of course, as well as some hard liquor, mixed drinks and wine, Cider, etc. You can order pizza, nachos, pretzel bites and things of this nature (limited but good menu). They take your phone number and text you when your food order is ready for pickup. This is a cashless venue, but that's not a big deal! And it is VERY dog friendly! Bring your fur babies along!!! Come check out this calm vibe in Francis Park!

There's a charming patio out front, if you want it. You can settle in for a long dinner, post up at the bar for the night, or grab a quick bite before heading out on the town. Bartenders are warm and approachable, and the in-house mixology is confident without any "we spent 30 hours perfecting this" pretense. The whole experience is like Sam Malone the bartender (save the drama) at Cheers: friendly, self-assured, the kind of place that makes you feel like you could spend all night there without anyone rushing you. We had a Paper Plane and an Old Fashioned -- the latter served over a custom ice cube stamped with a double ax (a nod to the wood fire). The cocktail list leans classic and reliable: if you know you like gin or vodka, you'll find something easy here. The espresso martini is the standout, it works as a dessert drink or any other time of the meal. We started with the Smorgasbord instead of our usual garlic knots (which are their own delicacy), and it didn't disappoint: toasted brioche with mascarpone and strawberry jam, several cured meats (capicola, prosciutto, pepperoni), parmesan, gouda, dried cherries, and chutney. My one nitpick; the pepperoni and gouda were tiny cubes, which makes them tough to grab cleanly compared to the sliced parmesan or rolled prosciutto. In this situation give the man a toothpick. The tallow-fried wings are, in my opinion, the best in St. Louis. The beef-tallow-and-potato-starch breading produces a tempura-like texture and crunch that keeps them light. Adventurous-but-classic sauces, bourbon butter BBQ, buffalo, and pineapple honey habanero (legitimately spicy; bring backup). The wings stand on their own without sauce. For pizza, we got the Napoli (tomato, fresh and smoked mozzarella, arugula, parmesan, black pepper, olive oil) -- her standing favorite. Expect proper Neapolitan: soft center, thin crust, charred crisp edge. Don't lift and bite fold it. (She insists: no fork. I use a fork - I know how dare I!) The pizza menu reads creative but never gimmicky; meat-lovers, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-conscious diners all have real options. Before Kyle took over, Pizzeoli was known as a vegan-forward spot, and that flexibility lives on. We closed with the seasonal ice cream sandwich, fresh-pressed pizzelle wafers, crème brûlée ice cream, and a torched marshmallow cap. Excellent. A couple of practical notes: they're dinner-only (4-9:30) and the new reservation phone line is a robo call. Easier to use the online waitlist or book online directly. Pizzeoli is dressed-down-or-dressed-up friendly, kid-welcoming, and somehow works equally well for a pre-game stop or your dinner of the week. I've never had a bad dish here, and there are several I come back for specifically -- Lesley for the Napoli, me for the wings. 4.9 stars out of 5. If that toothpick shows up, a perfect 5. ;) Worth the trip across town, an hour drive for a long dinner, if it were open for lunch, the suggestion for two trips in one day would be welcomed or two-days in a row.

Parking is easy within a block or two. Outdoor, booth, and table seating is available. My husband had the gluten free pasta because it is also vegan, and no lie and true to form, it was delightful and light! The tomato sauce is Perfection: not too acidic, not too sweet, letting the grand yet humble tomato shine. I chose the puttanesca, one of my favorite traditional Italian pastas. I would order this again!! Had plenty for lunch the next day. Not to be left out: the toasted ravs and cannoli. I've had a few T-ravs since moving to StL, and these are excellent. The tomato sauce for dipping, once again, is a real treat. The cannolis? Precious, flaky, and dreamy. I ate one at our table and took the second bad boy home. FIRE.

While traveling through Missouri, my wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner. I searched…read moreYelp and came across Anthonino's. I also remembered seeing it featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so we figured it had to be worth a try. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but noticed a few open seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there instead. The two bartenders welcomed us right away and told us they would take good care of us throughout the evening. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I started with an Old Fashioned. For an appetizer, we ordered the Toasted Ravioli ($14), which is handmade in-house and filled with ground beef, ricotta, and pecorino romano cheese, served with marinara sauce. It's one of the dishes featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For dinner, my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala ($23), and I went with the Bolognese ($17), made with veal, pork, red wine gravy, cresta di gallo pasta, stracciatella, and Calabrian chili oil. The toasted ravioli arrived looking great. I tried one without the sauce first. The fresh pasta didn't fry up quite the way I expected. It was more flaky than crispy, and I was hoping for a little more crunch. The filling was decent but could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The marinara sauce also had a bitterness to it that wasn't my favorite. When our entrées arrived, both dishes looked and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite live up to the presentation. My wife's Chicken Marsala had good flavor overall, but the side pasta was very gummy, and the sauce again had a bitter note that seemed to overpower the dish. My Bolognese was the biggest disappointment of the evening. When I think of Bolognese or a rich meat ragù, I usually expect a wider pasta such as pappardelle. The cresta di gallo pasta wasn't my favorite choice for the dish, and it also had a gummy texture. The sauce itself suffered from the same bitterness that we noticed throughout the meal. Looking back, I probably should have ordered the Carbonara once I realized the Bolognese wasn't being served with the type of pasta I was hoping for. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't quite meet the expectations we had after seeing the restaurant featured on television and reading the reviews. The service was excellent, and the bartenders did a fantastic job taking care of us. While this visit was a bit disappointing, there were plenty of other dishes on the menu that looked great, and I would be willing to give Anthonino's another try and order something different.

That Spring Onion Pizza was so good so definitely try that before the season ends. For our sides, we got the mortadella skewers which was covered in a tangy, sweet sauce. I dipped a few of my slices in that sauce and it was great. We also got the caesar salad which was tossed really well and every bite was coated in dressing. We ended our meal with their basque cheesecake which I think may have been regular cheesecake? I was expecting the caramelized crust and a softer bite BUT it doesn't matter. The mango mezcal had a nice balance of tequila and other sweet flavors while having the tajin rim for additional spice. I will say the toppings are generally covered by cheese and so if you don't know what was ordered you might wind up with a bite of something you don't like (as was the case for my heat-averse aunt who got a big mouthful of jalapeño on one of her slices).
