I used to love this place. Would always come here with my friends for a night out on Friday and Saturday nights and we always had a blast. The staff however seemed to be getting much worse every time we went. For example, I had a bartender laugh in my face and not take my drink order when all I was doing was waiting in line to order a drink. The last time we went however was by far the worst. Everything started out fine and normal until my keys were lost, which is 100% not the staff's fault. I noticed they were gone as soon as we got into our Uber and ran out and started looking around. Paddy O's had closed at this point as it was around 3am. I started sobbing and asked one of the bouncers if he collins help me out. He was very helpful and told me keys were found all the time and that I shouldn't worry too much. He told me to come back at 9am when the openers got there to see if any keys were turned it or look around if they had not been. Me and my friend show up at 9am and I go up to the door. A staff member comes to unlock it and goes "what?" I explained the situation. He told me "I have no clue who told you to come here at 9am. Clearly they didn't know what they were talking about. I literally just got here." I guess he could see I was upset so he took my name and number. My friend then went in and he told her "well i can't make them appear out of thin air" All we were asking to do was look around, not for him to pull a Houdini magic trick and someone make my keys appear. Staff was very rude to two young girls who were clearly in distress. Come the next day, I find out my keys were actually stolen here, so be on the lookout for that too. read more

WORST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TOO!! they didn't let any of my friends in here, meanwhile we are all 21!! my friend and I are from texas and have the new ids and they thought they were fake and treated us like high schoolers. i told them to call the cops and the bouncer pushed me out. He would only let in highschool looking girls that were for sure not 21. nor professional at all. telling all my friends to never come to this high school hangout. read more

We were very disappointed to show up there on game day at noon and the place to be locked and no sign with hours. The yelp listing showed it as open. I tried calling the number but no answer. There were several others trying to go there at the same time. read more

We attended a Cardinals game on Monday, April 17, 2023, and decided to stop at Patty O's for a smash burger before the game. The burger was great but the waitress on the main floor was not. According to the guy who brought our burgers, she put down the wrong table number and our food was given to the other table. We asked for our bill before our food arrived so we could pay and get to the game as soon as we finished. After paying our bill at the bar, our waitress SLAPPED our table VERY LOUDLY and said, "Thanks for the tip!" . We had not paid the tip yet, because we planned to leave it on the table after we ate. When we handed her our tip as we left for the game, I said to her, "Don't assume people aren't tipping at the table." She 'snarkedly' held her ear and said, "I can't hear you". Oh Paddy O's! You sure are a wild one after a baseball game! Being the closest bar to Busch Stadium, it's easy to take a few steps to the south after a baseball game and find yourself engulfed in a mix of wild drunkenness at Paddy O's. It's the perfect place to go to if you to get crazy, or if you just want to see Missouri culture at its best...or worst! It gets an extra 1/2 star for being located in a nicely renovated old building as opposed to the neighboring bar which is in a shed. Find your way to the basement if you want to play a game of pool or to escape the crowd. (the bathroom lines are usually shorter in the basement also). Step outside and join the crowd under the big tent where you can dance to the DJ's pop mix. Beers are pricey here, almost as much as the stadium, but maybe the difference is because of the bigger cans (24oz?). Food is also served, making it a good option before the game for a burger, wings or typical bar food. Dance the night away to the most overplayed songs of your lifetime, and drink till you can't stand up....that's what Paddy O's is all about! 3 & 1/2 stars..... for all those post-game wild times. read more

Great staff, plenty of space for seating inside, outside or up top on the deck, all while supporting a locally owned business. Another tip...if you're going to the game, park in the Paddy O's lot across the street. Can you believe I've been in St. Louis five years and never been to Paddy O's before? After visiting it yesterday before going to the Cards game, I can't! It was a great day so we stayed outside and schmoozed while having a couple beers. 16 oz cans of beer were $5, cheap compared to the price you pay inside the stadium. And service was quick...we never had to wait in line to get a drink. We didn't eat there, but whatever they were cooking certainly smelled good. We didn't go back after the game, but a lot of people did, since the place was packed. If it wasn't a weekday, you most likely would have seen us in there as well. Do people think if they have a fantastically Irish name that they HAVE to start a bar/pub? Like the physician where I work named "Dr. Pepper"...like, "Well, with a name like that..." Okay so Paddy O's is as fun as the name suggests. I went after a recent showing of the Cards beatin' down on the Cubs to hang out with friends. Never had to wait too long for drinks despite the crowd, and they have an area for every taste (inside bar, outside patio, in-between area for drunk dancing debauchery). The women's bathroom is VERY clearly marked...two signs, one of which with three foot high red lettering and multiple arrows. There is no such sign for the men's bathroom...perhaps I should be insulted? One star taken away because it was motherfreakin' HOT in there...the couple of wimpy ceiling fans didn't do jack to cool down that crowded, hot bar. My sweat patches, let me show you them. But even that was at least a little okay until the end when my boyfriend got the bill and we realized the beer (which aren't served in glasses or bottles but in a beautiful redneck Missouri presentation of cans) were $5 a pop. I see in other reviews that this was for 24 or 16 oz cans...nope, they were definitely your standard 12 oz-ers when I was there. What the actual....? We actually flagged the server down to make sure it was right because it was so outrageous. Sadface. And so you get three stars, Paddy O's. But hey, if they can get away with it (and they do), they will keep raping you with their beer prices. Next time I want to pretend I was cool enough to get tickets to the game that just finished even though I actually watched it at home on my couch, I will go to another downtown sports bar to do so. read more

We had a great time at the Cardinals game last week, and we weren't quite ready to go back to our hotel. We asked a moderately drunk (yet surprisingly friendly) Cardinals fan for his advice regarding a fun bar in the area, and he suggested "Paddy O's." It took us a few minutes to figure out whether he meant "Patio's," "Patty O's" or "Paddy O's." Thanks to a couple of friendly Cardinals fans and NO thanks to our useless iPhones, we found ourselves in front of Paddy O's. Literally hundreds of people congregated around the giant outdoor bar, watching the highlights from the game that had just ended. A couple of auxiliary beer carts were selling $6 Buds and Bud Lights like they were going out of style. The crowd could only be described as a typical post-game crowd. Most patrons were sporting red Cardinals gear, and some of the more radical ones wore green Pujols t-shirts. There were a few women who were clearly overdressed, but the atmosphere was very relaxed. The music was not too loud (my friends in radio would describe it as "the best mix of the '90s and today"), and, despite the crowd, the atmosphere was conducive to conversation. Standing outside on a warm St. Louis night with a 16 oz can of Bud Light (sorry, didn't mean to make it rhyme) . . . ahh, what a feeling. It made me think of my college days and our annual Spring Training trips to Phoenix, AZ; both very pleasant memories. read more

Popped in here for a few beers before a game the other evening and had a lot of fun. The outdoor space is perfect for meeting up with folks and I love how they offer not just beer but also mixed drinks outside so you can order whatever you want depending on your mood. When I went we didn't have the issues that some others have mentioned about waiting for drinks but I could see that this place could get really crowded especially as the weather continues to improve. read more

I had never been to Paddy O's prior to Wednesday where i was meeting up with someone to catch the baseball game. I was pretty impressed with what I saw, the place was huge, full of people and looked like a lot of fun. We grabbed a quick drink before the game and then stopped back by after the game for a drink. If I thought it was crowded before the game, it was packed after the game. I guess people were drowning their sorrows as the Cards failed to muster any offense and lost the game. The patio on the roof was pretty cool, and I imagine it would be a cool place to be on a Friday or Saturday night. The DJ kept the place moving with a variety or music, but it was pretty loud. Trying to hold a conversation was almost impossible and I felt like I was constantly shouting. The drink prices were pretty decent for their mixed drinks at $6, but $5 for a can of Bud Select seemed a bit steep. Had I not already had a few beers I would have gone for a mixed drink instead. If I was a few years younger I think I would really like this place, but anymore this type of place just isn't my scene. if you are looking for a place with music, lots of people and a great bar then head on down to Paddy O's, especially if you have just watched a ball game. read more

I'll make this easy.... hands down favorite place to visit to pre-game for watching the Cardinals. Cheap food, cheap drinks and a decent outside patio. (no where to sit out there but, still decent) Right by the park so you don't have far to go. I went here after a Cardinals game and it was fun. This place has had some MAJOR work since last time I went there (years ago). They still have the patio, but they got some glass doors (they remind me of garage doors) that can close and keep the air conditioning in. It was 101 degrees at 6pm and I think it had cooled off to the 90s, but it was cool in here. They had beers in several locations, so you never had to wait very long. TV screens were around, so we could see the rest of the game. I didn't check the restrooms out. I have to have lots of beers before doing that! Most of the time they are pretty skanky so I have to get the point where I don't care what they look like! My favorite part of the evening was getting carded. I am way older than most of the people who were in this place, so I welcomed being questioned. read more

So this is the place to go before Cards games, but it's not all that special. I mean, I know every day I wake up and think: "where is $5 can beer night"....Paddy'O's! But really, this place is fun for playoff games after a victory - but other than that, its just your average bar. The food is reasonable and decently priced. I've had the pizza and the burger, both which are average. The beers are overpriced, and it's all Budweiser products. Go here for the atmosphere. OK, yeah so this place is super crowded before games. It can be difficult to get a drink. You might feel a little suffocated. It's kind of expensive. But that's not the point. It's the whole atmosphere and feeling of being here before a game. Everyone is here for one purpose--to cheer on the Cardinals and have a blast before and after they go to the game. Or, just to hang out during the game. There are times where a crowded bar is just fun and almost necessary for the sort of chaotic atmosphere that is a sporting event. Anyway, if you've never been here before a game, I recommend it. It's a blast and a fun place to meet other St. Louisans and Cardinals fans. read more

I had never been to Paddy O's until I went recently with a group who was having a client night at the stadium. It is big...you will lose your party in any part of it if you don't keep a close eye out on where they are and you will bump into anyone and everyone. Also expect people who don't think you should be there to give you the eyeball because they will. We were given beer as a part of our group however the normal price of a can of beer is the exact same price in the stadium and still more than I would like to pay to drink. I was the DD and the bartenders were not happy when I was ordering water for my drink - they still served me but didn't like that I wasn't paying for alcohol. This is a great location literally steps away from Busch. If you've never been, try to go at least once so you know what all the hype is about and you can say that you have been there. read more

I came here with large group for the Manchester City v Chelsea match in May. They were very accommodating. Cheap local beer, cheap eats and the use of a room upstairs as our headquarters. The manager came to us and thanked us all for coming pre and post match. The location by the stadium is a very short walk as well. I would definitely come back during the baseball season. read more

Stanley cup final game with hundreds of people on the patio and they don't turn on the game sound. Sound is on downstairs, and when we say something they say they're too busy to do anything. And yet in intermission they blare top 40 music. read more

I love going here before and after baseball games because it's right next to the stadium and it's quick and easy to get drinks since they have bars located in each area. Plus they have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to accommodate the weather and they play fun music. An added bonus is the delicious BBQ. I'm not a big meat-eater but I tried the pulled pork and it was so delicious I went back for more the next day! read more

This is the only place you will want to go to catch a Baseball Game or any sporting event for that matter. BPV on the North side is too pack, service is terrible and cost is too high. Also, you can't beat the Parking at Paddy O's! The cost for parking is usually only $15 which is right next to the stadium. It is safe, secured and Oh it comes with a FREE Drink which you just can't beat. If only they offered Free parking and shuttle service for Blues Games would be awesome. read more

I had my birthday party at paddy os about 25-30 people the staff was kind enough to open the downstairs bar so we could have our own space. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the manager John was TERRIBLE. Before the party even started he was saying things like "who planned this shit show" and he was upset his bartender came in an hour early. He continued to come down throughout the party and openly talk bad about it in front of my guests it made everyone so uncomfortable because we had planned this with the staff for weeks it was very confusing why he was so irate and unwelcoming. I know this particular manager has worked at the establishment for years and he will probably not even be reprimanded for his actions but he really just seems like a miserable guy and his behavior was beyond unacceptable. Other then that the rest of the staff was friendly and apologetic for his behavior because it was abundantly clear how out of line he was being. read more

Visiting St Louis and stopped here for late lunch on the recommendation of friends. Arrived about 1:30, the place was packed, so we had a 20 min wait. Food was really good. Service was order at register and seat yourself; all very efficient and prompt. If you haven't tried real St Louis BBQ, this is the place! read more

I was with a younger crew of my nieces and nephews post- Cards game, and they wanted to check out the scene at Paddy O's. I had a feeling I wasn't going to love it, but the majority ruled, and I was interested to check out the expansion and people watch (read: drunk people watch). After breezing by the bouncers and police even though my nephews & crew are barely 21, we were able to join the mad revelry. It comes complete with stumbling crowds, dirty dancing, and a very sticky floor. I think I might have gotten hit on, but since the guy could barely speak, I'm not positive! Sadly this still makes me smile just a little on the inside since I was almost twice his age (what beer goggles?!). After paying stadium prices for two cans of our hometown beer and dancing for a few songs, I had my fill. They do play the appropriate current and past pop hits to keep the crowd moving, so that was fun. I also ventured into the ladies room, a utilitarian space with plenty of stalls for the large crowds- not spotless, but decent. I'm sure keeping them clean is a losing battle as the night progresses. The kids wanted to leave after about a half hour and go to BB's- so young and already great taste, yay! Paddy O's is not my thing, but it does have prime real estate next to the stadium, plenty of space inside and out, and a huge, if younger, crowd. I won't hurry back, but understand that it's a great spot for some pre and post Cardinals games. read more

I revisited for a private party this past weekend. They really have made this place nice. The space is open. The building now carries the same theme as the ballpark. Hell, even the restrooms have a feel of Busch. Service was fine. read more
