    Egg salad sandwich...bland.
    Helen D.

This is a cute little shop with a nice variety of specialty items like spaghetti sauces, olive oils, and other gourmet treats. They also have refrigerators and freezers stocked with prepared foods, plus a deli counter offering freshly made sandwiches. Here's what we tried: -Egg salad sandwich - Just okay. It was pretty basic (mostly eggs and mayo). I asked them to add mustard, which definitely helped give it more flavor. -Prosciutto sandwich - Also just okay, nothing particularly standout. -Arancini & meat arancini - These were from the cold case, and I took them home to heat up. Unfortunately, they weren't very good--likely had been sitting there a bit too long. -Lemon blueberry ricotta cake - From the refrigerated case, and again, just okay. Overall, the shop itself is charming and has a lot to offer, but the items we tried from the deli and prepared foods didn't quite meet expectations.

If you're looking for a spot that seamlessly blends warm hospitality, delectable cuisine with a casual but lively ambiance, look no further than Padua Pasta! This deli is an absolute gem, the sandwiches, salads, pastas, entries, baked goods, and other amazing items are just next level. They use fresh ingredients, generous portions with flavors and textures that transported our tastebuds to various levels. This just showcases management's commitment to high quality cuisine and authenticity. The staff is just as amazing as their food, friendly, welcoming, and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. The whole place has that warm neighborhood vibe that's hard to find these days. In conclusion, Padua Pasta delivers with quality, taste, and great customer service that succeeded our expectations and warrants return visits. We'll definitely be back!!

UPLAND update: A downright delightful deli with outstanding sandwiches and nifty small scale store with goodies from here to Italy. I got the Wednesday special which was stacked eggplant. $8.99 August 2025. Not overwhelmingly good but good enough. In the past, my sisters shared the Padua special- a special sandwich it is. Y.U.M. So much meat and totally shareable. They sell freshly homemade pasta in various styles, It's must try next visit. Very clean establishment. Parking is tight, but just west of the store there's a parking lot that works out a lot better than squeezing in.

Overpriced lunch box - good sandwich. I stopped by Padua while visiting family at the hospital nearby. It's a very cute shop with lots of grab and go novelty food or fresh pasta. I got the tuna salad sandwich lunch box. The sandwich is tasty, it just felt like the lunch box was not worth the price. I paid $7 more for a combo and only got a condiment size plastic cup of pasta and one piece of small candy. Not sure what the $7 extra is for!

I truly can't get enough of this place! Their fresh pasta is perfect because I have gluten intolerances. The first time I tried their pasta I knew it would be a gamble. But I felt just fine afterward, no tummy troubles. They offer all kinds of things from olive oil to premade food items that you heat and serve. They are truly a deli as well and have a lot to offer from fresh meats to potato salads and soups. If I lived closer I'd come here more often.

All I can say is wow! The sandwiches here are absolutely phenomenal. I stopped by to grab a few for lunch, and every bite was packed with flavor. I also picked up some freshly baked bread, which was just as delicious. They make their own pasta in house, which I didn't get to try this time but we'll definitely be back for that! I also noticed they offer frozen meals, which I unfortunately spotted after I had already paid (next time for sure!). The store is clean and well kept, and both the cashier and the sandwich maker were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a fantastic lunch stop and a great experience all around!

Had the pasta special and a cannoli, everything was so fresh and delicious. Staff was very nice and welcoming. I will definitely be back soon.

Hands down best pastrami I've had in a long time. Very nice place with fresh pasta, soups, salads amongst other items made fresh. The inside is nicely decorated and has a sitting area. The owner wouldn't let me park my bike outside and told me to bring it in with me.

    Lovely cookies right?

Ask the Community - Padua Pasta Makers

    Are dogs welcome?

I don't work there but I am in f the food service Industry. Per Health regulations/code unless your pet is a legal 'service animal' they are not allowed in any area of food service.

Do you guys use any delivery service like Uber eats, DoorDash etc?

I saw a DoorDash sign today so I'm guessing they do.

Do you carry guanciale or pork cheek to make carbonara? Thank you

    Do they carry gnocci (packaged)?

The last time I was there I did purchase packaged gnocchi.

Do they offer pasta making classes?

I do not know but that's a good idea. I have not seen a sign in their business that states that.

What are the hours? I saw hours posted open Mobday - Saturday until 7:00 PM. I was there Sarurday at 6:06 PM and they were closed.

According to their website they are open Monday thru Thursday 10am to 7 pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm, and closed on Sunday's. I think you were looking at the hours on Monday thru Thursday and assumed it was their hours all week.

Do they carry a wide selection of deli meats? Specifically extra spicy lean capocollo?

Yes they do. They also carry authentic Italian food products! You won't be sorry. Go by and take a look for yourself ☺️

Looking for black pasta to make for a dinner party, do you sell?

They have tons of pastas and also carry sauces as well

I didn't have any grand reason as that for preferring linguine as my pasta noodle of choice. My favorite childhood Italian family food joint used linguine as their "spaghetti" so that was what I thought of when it came to most pairings of sauce to noodle. Pomodoro, bolognese, and even my current sauce of choice, chili, will always be paired with linguine if I had my druthers. So it's always a bit disappointing to see a fresh pasta place not even offer it on the menu. I don't think it's a fair measuring stick comparing linguine to a spaghetti, a fett, or even a rotelle like I had here. They will never measure up because the mouth feel wil always be off. Don't mistake me; the rotelle Pomodoro was quite tasty, especially with that decent-sized meatball and focaccia on the side. That sauce was even a good choice because I always liked the simpler sauces. But always, always I think about how much better the meal would've gone with a nice linguine steering the ship. The service was good, if a bit brusque. The food came out quick and the server was even nicer serving than when I ordered. I like the ambiance too. Everything is spaced nicely for a restaurant this size. It feels relaxing in here and a place you can could host a good meal with a small set of friends. I don't think you need any more than that if it's a casual night. All in all, I like this place and will hit it up again if I feel like a non-linguine pasta night.

On this particular weeknight, your favorite Yelp correspondent was pivoting in and out of Glendora's Food Hall like a metronome, ferrying a quartet of meals from the hall for my wee Uber gig. Pastaphony caught my attention within moments of nesting my customer's order into my insulated carrier- my SUV's cabin was redolent of cheese, tomatoes and overall hone-cooked goodness! I went with Pasta Arrabbiata, then customized my order by adding a breaded chicken breast, black olives, onions, roasted peppers and shaved parmesan. On the plus side, Pastaphony gives ample portions- My entree weighed almost as much as a two-item combo platter from your friendly neighborhood Chinese takeout place! And, while the dish took me to Flavortown...unfortunately it was the Mojave Desert, with its scorching flavor profile and intense, spicy taste. The star of the dish was the breaded chicken cutlet and the shaved parm, but since the penne pasta overwhelmed the chicken/parm by an eight to one ratio...this was a difficult dish to finish. Context- As the acknowledged "lightweight" in a family of folks who typically relish spicy food, I asked my wife to sample my dish. She was born in Michoacacan and regularly quaffs homegrown Serrano and Habanero peppers like they're ice. Even she was surprised by how utterly spicy my pasta dish was! My entree cost $26.39 after taxes, a wee steep for a single protein pasta dish. By comparison, you can spend $1 more at any Johnny Carinos or Olive Garden and get a three-item combo with bread and/or salad accompaniments. So I wasn't satisfied by the "value for money" question, either. This experienced reviewer probably ordered the WDD (Wrong Damn Dish) but at their prices (a side of garlic bread or breadsticks is $10.99!) one os hesitant to retake the plunge.

Overall I liked that because they seemed to be putting work into their restaurant. They weren't just goofing around which wouldn't be horrible and would be expected. But they seemed like a good team of workers. We ordered a Pepperoni pizza and a Hawaiian pizza. Also an order of garlic bread and buffalo mild wings. The pizzas were well baked. There was a good amount of cheese. Not too much cheese, but also they didn't skimp on the cheese. The toppings were also a good quantity. Had a great flavor and everything tasted fresh. They had a soda fountain for people who enjoy soft drinks and also some beer selections which I enjoyed. The restaurant itself was very clean and you could smell that they had recently cleaned before we got there. Which is a good sign for me. It means that they were taking care of their establishment. Overall I think everyone in the area should come here and give it a try. Even if it's just to support local businesses. But I will say that I left satisfied with the food and will definitely come back to try some of their more unique pizza with Indian flavors! They sound very good!
