Decided to stop here for lunch we order the Meatball Sandwich, the Padua Special and a Pesto Pasta on the side. The pasta was delicious, I liked the added pine nuts that was a nice touch. The Meatball Sandwich was okay. Here they slice their balls, me personally I prefer the Meatballs whole. The peppers was different not entirely bad, something you would find with a sausage sandwich. It gave it a nice flavor with the sauce so I didn't mind it. The Padua Special was good but I would have like more of the dressing and it would have been perfect. We had plenty of food leftover. We also wanted to try a Tiramisu and a Coppa Mascarpone. I'm usually a tiramisu fan but the Mascarpone was my favorite and delicious! We would definitely make a return visit. read more

Me and my wife come here every Friday, (one)for the delicious fresh home made pizza, (two)for the perfect home made pizza dough we get to make our own pizza at home, (three) for the most delicious deli meats and home made bread, (four) the awesome service from MARIA and her staff of all girls they make a major difference in the experience of coming to this great little place, (five) also all of the little extra things that you can get there like pizza sauce,home made pasta,home made pizza dough,olive oil,just to name a few things to many to list. (Six) This is a real hidden small jem of a place, but it is known for its lunch time sandwiches it gets very busy at that time cause the service and food are that good. Now for the people who complain about it being a little higher prized, it's well worth it for the excellent quality of the food and service. So if you people can't stand quality ingredients and great staff then I suggest you go to "BURGER KING" or some other crappy burger place like "MC DONALDS" or any other fast food place. Because if you complain about PADUA that tells me that you don't have any clue about good quality food. Like the old saying goes you get what you pay for, and in this case I will be more than happy to pay a little extra to get the quality of food and staff from PADUA. Pretty cute shop. I came in here for the fresh pasta. Then of course me being me I bought a whole bunch of things haha. So we came in and was greeted and I couldn't get over the fact that the store was just adorable. You have the employees wearing cute tops and the place is super clean. I bought a couple pounds of fresh fettuccine (great taste). I got the lobster ravioli some canned goods the pink sauce, cheese, bread and cookies. The pasta is amazing and the cookies were amazing. I got some desserts as well in the fridge section. Wish they had cannolis but it was sold out by the time I got there. Overall pretty satisfied and will continue to come back here for the fresh pasta and cookies. The service could've been better as it took us a while to be helped when ordering the pasta. This past Saturday afternoon I was looking for a great sandwich in the I.E. and Padua Pasta Makers showed up in my search. I was excited to try the roast beef sandwich and wanted to minimize my time in the store because of Covid restrictions, so I called ahead and asked to order the roast beef lunch box special and immediately was asked if I could be put on hold. I said sure and was on hold for a while, so I decided I'd drive down there and order in person. When I pulled up, line wasn't long, but we did have to wait outside on the sidewalk for 5 minutes. The lady regulating the line was nice. Once inside, I noticed the shop was clean, organized and had a fridge full of water, wine, soda, etc. I glanced into the shop next door to the deli and it looked dainty and pristine. It was my first time there so I waited at the cash register for one of the four young ladies to acknowledge me, but they didn't. They were too busy talking to each other. The store isn't huge, so if you're standing in front of the register, in a store that's regulating how many people come in and out, and they don't acknowledge you then it's clear they don't need your business. I finally asked them for help and said, "Do I order here?" and they said, "Oh no, you order at the deli counter there." Went to the deli counter, almost the same treatment. Lady behind the counter was tidying up or doing something else, there's no one else in the store at this point except myself and my sister, standing there waiting to be acknowledged. Finally got to order my roast beef sandwich then the lady pointed to the sign at the counter saying they're out of sandwich bread, hence no sandwiches. I wish the girl that answered my phone call a half hour earlier could've just told me that over the phone instead of dismissing me and putting me on hold. So, I opted to try their lasagna because it was either that or a cheese calzone. The lasagna came with garlic bread and when I opened it up, I got the heel or the ends of the garlic bread. I must have come at the wrong day and time? Decided to eat the lasagna right outside at the benches and tables and had enough. The ingredients are all top notch, but the flavor wasn't there and I guess I got the cheese lasagna with no meat because literally it was a pool of watery sauce and ricotta with some pasta in there. The bread was alright. The sad part was I bought a bag of fritos as a snack for later, but I ended up eating it and that was the most flavor I got from this meal. My experience was disappointing and hopefully they train the staff to listen to what a customer is asking for over the phone. Also, they had a sign in the door saying they're hiring which is odd since they had four young ladies at the register talking to each other and walking around the floor doing nothing (the place is immaculate). I think they need quality workers not more of the same rude ones. read more

We were in the area and stumbled upon this gem while looking for a place to have lunch. It was busy, but not crowded. There are two different counters: one where you can order sandwiches and deli items, and one that has fresh pasta and baked items. You place your order at the respective counter then pay at the register. There are a few tables in case you choose to enjoy your food there. We had sandwiches and tried two of their pasta salads. I was getting hangry and drove past Padua. So, I stopped in to give it a try. It is a really cute little shop and service was friendly. Here's the food review: Padua Special- Such a good Italian sub! Great flavor, lots of meat, needs more lettuce, bread was a really good mix of chewy and soft. I would go back just for this sandwich and would have given more stars if the rest was this good! Meatball Sandwich no cheese- My hubby was not a fan. He likes to try different ones everywhere we go and he said the meatballs weren't seasoned enough, there wasn't enough sauce and it wasn't a good flavor anyway (tasted bitter). Also the bell peppers in it were out of place. Italian cookies- Meh...not a good selection but I was craving them. The raspberry drop cookie was good but the center lacked flavor. The fig and chocolate drop were just okay. They are expensive at $16.99 a lb. I got 10 cookies for $11.21. So, the Padua sandwich is a Yes! First off. I loooooove the deli and desserts. Holiday plates not so much. I boasted about this place I love their cookies and desserts. The sandwiches from the deli are also yummy. This time around I thought it would be a great idea to do their take home lasagna bake for Christmas Eve. I'm bummed. I didn't love it and it was a bit dried out. Also: we purchased fresh cannolis and they weren't packed in our order and we didn't find that out until we got home. We did however get our eclairs which exceeded our expectations. It was our 1st time here 3/27/23 the hubs & I decided to try this deli & it did not disappoint! We ordered the 12' Hot ham sandwich & Hot 10' turkey along with their Monday special pasta & for dessert we grab a couple of delicious cookies. The staff was very friendly & inviting. Wow was I happily surprised to find this little gem. Although I've driven by many times, I never stopped because the outside is so deceiving. Again, never judge a book by its cover. As soon as we crossed the threshold, the atmosphere welcomed us in, capturing our interest with its beautiful Italian cafe decor, tasty goodies, and yummy displays of breads, cookies, gelato, pasta, sauces, and full deli. We ordered a roast beef sandwich that was seriously the best I've ever had. The sea salt chocolate chip cookie was amazing, and the service was so welcoming and attentive that it instantly became our favorite place in Upland. If you haven't been there, treat yourself. When I needed an Italian Market that was open in the late afternoon on Valentine's Day, and when all Claro's Italian Market locations were closed, I decided to drive 30 minutes out of the way to give Padua Pasta Makers a try. And I am so glad I did! I had the opportunity to try their cheese ravioli and pizza dough, and it was by far the very best ravioli and pizza dough I ever tried. Padua Pasta Makers is one of my favorite delis in SoCal. It's well worth the hour drive and always hits the spot. The ingredients used in all their dishes are fresh and of high quality. The eggplant/olive side is phenomenal and their pasta dishes are cooked just right. Their marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese are some of the best I've ever had. I'm half Italian, so believe me when I say Padua prepares authentic Italian dishes. I highly recommend the capellini alla checca and the manicotti. The prices are also very reasonable. read more

I'm guessing everything behind the glass is made fresh daily and what is there is all they have for the day.
