Tried this place for the first time today. We have lived near them for years and had no idea they were there. I think I saw a post on save Sonoma county restaurants. We got the big boy breakfast and chicken fried steak with a biscuit. The gravy was peppered which we enjoyed and the biscuits were nice and fluffy. Chicken fried steak was good! My 1 complaint is that the hash browns were a little over cooked. I liked they had compostable containers. Now this is the place to come for breakfast, I have been coming in since 2001 when I got put of the Marines. The food is always good, the chicken fried steak in my mind is the best in town. I absolutely love the ice tea the serve here as well. The staff has always been friendly regardless of the owners. I time to time go to different places, but always regret doing so. Yummy vegetarian omelette ($11) full of veges with mixed cheese. Decorated on top with a layer of sliced avocado. It was a pretty near perfect omelette. Accompanied by golden brown crunchy potatoes and sour dough toast . Toast could be toastier and coffee could be hotter. This cafe is a small hole in the wall with 10 tables with some added new booths which offer great back support for those who need it . Could benefit the ambience with their nice big windows by doing without those over sized, dark and dated drapes . They felt much too close to our food. We decided to come and eat at this diner once again since we had been here before twice and always had good food and great service. Not today though ,when we first got there there was no one to be found in about 10 minutes later the waitress appeared out of nowhere. We proceeded to order I had a skillet and my partner had a scrambled, and when they finally came out it was such a disappointment. The eggs were overcooked, they forgot the potatoes and when we ordered a bowl of chili, it came out barely warm when I talked to the waitress about it she told us that Mondays and Tuesdays are the best time to come and eat because there is a good cook so whoever is in charge of this diner needs to get rid of this cook that works the rest of the week because he's gonna lose a lot of customer he was sitting there on his phone looking around and I just hope I don't get sick. In my ongoing search for spicy chicken/country fried steak this is one of the best in Santa Rosa/Rohnert Park. Good crispy breading. The extra large serving of gravy had chunks of sausage in it, best gravy ive had yet. With good Eggs, hashbrowns & toast. Next time i will ask them to fry the hashbrowns until extra crispy. I stopped in on a hot day for lunch. Quaint little place - kind of old school atmosphere which I appreciate. Seemed like everyone was there had been there before and cherished this place. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and chose Cole Slaw for my side (My go to). The young lady waiting on me was courteous and cheerful. The sandwich was prepared and served promptly. There were several people in there and it was done in a timely manner. The sandwich was perfect. Juicy and fresh - good bread, the meat was excellent. I appreciate small family businesses. My husband and I came to this diner per the recommendation of Yelp . We mostly go to restaurants that are highly recommended by Yelp and I can honestly say that this is a an honest review with mo frills. This diner is pretty small compared to other diners we've been to. Decor is nice and simple. What got when we first entered is their orange juicer, I like the fact that they have freshly squeezed orange juice. No waiting on a Sunday brunch, but the traffic of customers are constant. And there are a lot of Uber eats orders being picked up. The young couple that runs this diner are very hardworking. This morning, they have their little girl in the restaurant with them. Inspite of having their little girl in the diner, the service they provide is exceptional. They are attentive to the customer as well as attentive to their little girl asking for their attention. The relationship with the cooks and the extra help is also real. You can see that this is a close neat working relationship. The food served shows how much care is given into it by the cooks. The place is clean. I have to check the bathroom and it is clean. I highly recommend this place. I will be putting this in my bookmark. read more

Their menu is pretty diverse as they have many varieties of breakfast specials. During my visit here, I ordered the Big Boy special that had biscuits & gravy, two eggs (any style), bacon or sausage and hash browns. Biscuits were fluffy, gravy was delicious and the bacon was crispy. I was satisfied with my breakfast. My waitress was great. The server barely greeted me and gave off the impression she was bothered by being there (July 4). There were 3 other people in the whole place when I got there; it was not busy at all. She took my order and when she brought it to my table she didn't say a word, just put it down in front of me. I said "Thank you" and she ignored me. The food was excessively salty, and some of it was very hot while some of it was already room temperature when the plate hit the table. When other customers came in, the server greeted them with much more enthusiasm than she showed me. I get it. Nobody wants to work on a holiday but you can at least fake it and act like you care. She didn't even try. There were crumbs on the floor and it wouldn't have taken 5 minutes to sweep the entire place. Service - 0 stars. Food - 1/2 star. Cleanliness - 1 stars. We've been frequenting Pages' a fair bit over the last few years. It's a great go-to for breakfast and your typical American diner meal options. It's well located in a strip mall in a neighborhood area. Cosy inside, but not uncomfortable, and has been updated in the last year with a fresh coat of paint, window coverings, light fixtures, etc. A few outdoor tables, with umbrellas for shade. Food: I love breakfast, so this review will be slightly skewed in that direction. My standard is the Patty Special - two eggs any style, sausage patty, hash browns, and a side of toast. Eggs are usually done right (I switch between over easy or poached,) and hash browns are soft on the inside with a crunchy exterior. If I had to nitpick, the patty could be a bit heftier. It's a bit on the thin side. Chicken fried steak is pretty decent with a good creamy gravy. Some of the skillets are equally good, as is the country benedict (hollandaise on the side is a personal choice.) Onion rings and fries are perfectly done. Service: Attentive overall. Friendly, and you're typically greeted when you walk in, and thanked when you leave. Cost: Reasonable for the area. For context, the Patty Special is under $10. Overall: Great locally run spot for breakfast and lunch. Parking right out front. They take debit and credit cards. read more

I've had a couple different sandwiches here and they've all been tasty. I love the on line ordering. It's always ready when I get there. And they've gone out of their way to get extra mustard for my to go order as they didn't have packets but they got me a small container with mustard. This was about as old school, Mel's diner as it comes. Glad I found it on Yelp to get a hearty breakfast before our slew of wine tastings, but it would seem everyone else in the place were locals, and of the geriatric variety. A sampling of overheard conversations: "Helen, how's George?" "Oh he's been in therapy and is able to get around with a walker pretty good now!" "So I'm gonna see my cardiologist today. He'll tell me how I am." "Anyone know what day it is??" (ok, that one was not an exact quote...) All this under the glow of the TV screen playing Carol O'Conner's "In the Heat of the Night"....the series. This was in contrast to the back of the place where the bathrooms are located, right next to the kitchen, where they were blaring and rapping along to hip hop. Still, the food was tasty and vast! I had Page's Special which was ground beef, mushrooms, onions, peppers, taters and eggs scrambled up together. Oh, and about a pound of cheese melted on top. I did get a bit of a hesitation when I ordered salsa with my eggs (I'm from Texas!), but bless here little heart she brought the best she had, which was a tiny cup of fresh pico. It also arrived with wheat toast which I immediately shunned (hey! you gotta pick your breakfast battles!). However, I took a nibble and discovered that the bread was way too good to pass up and went on to grow a second stomach so I could finish that off too. Toast is good for wine absorption. I live nearby, so I just happened to eat at Page's one day. I fell in love, truly. A lot of reviews talk about the breakfast menu, but I ordered lunch the first time I went there and their burgers are too tempting to resist. The burgers are huge (at a reasonable price) with a generous helping of whatever side you want. They even have a chicken strip (or buffalo chicken strip) sandwich that's bigger than a burger . Everything I've had there is absolutely delectable! I'm a ranch lover, but it's usually difficult to find quality ranch that tastes great. Page's Diner really delivers on that because theirs is fantastic. That really tops off a meal for me, especially since the food itself is really delicious. The place itself is really small, and I actually didn't know what it was called for a long time because I didn't see a sign (I come in from the back entrance toward the street). But I went out of my way to take note of it because they're just so good! They aren't open in the evenings, though. I ordered the lox benedict, and it exceeded my expectations. My co-brunchers ordered huevos rancheros and blueberry french toast. They both try those dishes at each new place they visit and were very impressed with Page's. The portions were very generous, and we all had a hard time finishing. Not sure if I ordered the wrong thing, but wasn't overly impressed with my breakfast at Page's Diner. The restaurant sits in a strip mall, but you can tell it's definitely a local favorite. When the wife and I showed up for breakfast there was a small wait so we decided to sit down outside as we were starving. The staff was very kind. I ordered the "california scramble" which is egg whites, avocado, and jack cheese. Splurged 50 cents extra for the english muffin. Tip: if you order the english muffin, make sure you tell them no butter. Otherwise, the muffin comes pretty drenched in butter. Maybe it's a California thing, but when I think scramble I think everything scrambled together. The "california scramble" was egg whites with a piece of jack cheese melted on top, and sliced avocado on top of that. The combination was interesting, and I probably wouldn't order it again. I chose country potatoes as my side and I would highly recommend ordering them "well-done" as a few of mine were a little under. The reviews are amazing, so I'm just going to assume I ordered the wrong thing. My wife loved her florentine scramble and got crispy potatoes which were perfect.
