Love, love this cute little cafe with PARKING in front and the yummiest scones and açaí bowls! Firstly, a parking lot in Kapahulu that's not the Safeway parking lot and running across the street to wherever which I really do appreciate. Secondly, the NICEST people working there (maybe owners, I forgot to ask). And the açaí bowls with the crunchiest granola and the savory scones which are delicious even days later. What a treat! Amazing service, was able to try the syrups before ordering and the barista was intentional with her drinks and made sure I was satisfied before leaving the door. Decided to stop in after an appointment down this side of the island and it didn't disappoint. Service was quick, I was helped right away. There is quite a few tables to sit so after I ordered I went to the side to wait for my drink. Although again. It didn't take that long. I ordered a honey rose matcha latte. I liked it. It is quite subtle but still good. I want to go back to try other drinks. They also had some baked goodies but I decided maybe next time with the hubs. The area is quite new and has some neighbors, some food eateries. And the parking lot is decent sized. Inside was not loud, pretty quite. Since we're in the same bldg of honu sushi and kalbi I saw this coffee shop 2 doors away from honu sushi I stopped in for their pastries. I'm a lover for sweets. Saw the blueberry scones and the chocolate chip cookies so I bought some. They did have other kind as well. Earl Grey scones, cheddar cheese scones, Portuguese sausage scones and the blueberry ones. Banana bread too. All looks good. Did look at the coffee menu but said next time. Came home and tried the cookies. Great little shop with five ish tables and plenty of parking. It's right next to ono seafood. Their velvet sweet cream cold brew was pretty dang good. Coffee had a bit of acidity and brightness to it. The sweet cream really mellowed it out and has a bit of heaviness to it. The Hawaiian latte was pretty good too. Mac nut and something syrups added to it? The owners are super nice and friendly and helpful. The guy doesn't really believe that kona coffee is worth the hype. It feels amazing to be welcomed by the owner, who remembers my name every time I walk in! Their acai bowl has a creamy texture and is topped with refreshing ingredients - house made gluten free granola (it was crunchy!), bananas, strawberries, blueberries, drizzled with organic honey. Peanut butter is available upon request. I've read a lot of positive comments about their scones, so of course I had to try one. Located in the new building along Kapahulu ave right next to Ono Seafood, Pai Cafe offers a variety of drinks, baked goods, smoothies, and bowls that are perfect to stop by for after a day at the beach. Their acai bowl was really good with tons of bananas and strawberries (they were out of blueberries) + granola. I personally like acai when it's not too sorbet-like so this was the perfect soft texture for a bowl. The space offers a nice place to study with a cute interior, free parking in the front, outlets, and a bathroom (not quite sure if there's Wi-Fi though). I had an iced velvet coffee and one of their scone. I wasn't sure how to drink the coffee but I realized that it's good if you mix well. Scone was delicious. Very rare to find a great coffee shop on this side of the island that offers QUALITY and parking!! Win win!! We got the rose match and just a iced matcha with water and they were both top notch. The service was great, they hand delivered the drinks to us and they offer home baked goods which just smells absolutely delightful. A huge perk for me is they have a private parking lot with FREE parking and quite a bit of spots with no time limit. We utilized this and got some work done on our laptops for a few hours. Came here cause of Cafe Maddy:) This is a must try on the island!! The honey lavender matcha latte has such strong floral notes that don't overwhelm the matcha at all. It hit so hard after poke and a brisk walk in the sun. I went back a few days later and got the rose honey matcha instead but still prefer how lovely the lavender complements the drink. Nespresso destroyed my hopes of ever having a better cup of coffee. It really is that good. However, the coffee that Micah makes and presents, takes coffee to a new level. What you may not know is that this is a family operation. Micah's wife makes all the pastries and scones! You owe it to yourself to try this place when you are in the Kapahulu area. The only good thing on that menu is the iced matcha everything else I have tried is not good. Also found hair in my banana bread one time but never said anything because I THOUGHT it deserved another chance.
