I called first thing in the morning and Jake re-assured me I didn't have to worry & they would be able to take care of me. When I arrived Jake was very professional and calming. He searched my car for the tire lock key & when one wasn't found he was able to go back & work with the Mechanics to determine if Discount tire had one for my BMW. Even BMW sent me the wrong lock key when I proactively ordered one so I would have my own for the car. Jake was able to use critical thinking (I was lacking in the moment) to let me know we could use the key I purchased by putting on the kit provided by BMW. I could go on & on about how thorough Jake was to make sure I was back on the road quickly. This included buying the same BMW tires I had through Discount tire sources. He even suggested and taught me about tire flats to ensure if this happened again, I could drive on the new tires he ordered for me. He also got me a spare which I didn't have because BMW cars don't come with them when purchased. I didn't know that until I had the flat. I was a mess. I have told everyone I know about this discount tire & Jake. I will definitely be back for all my tire & windshield wiper needs.

Several of them said Hendrix Automotive, so I went. My car at the time, a Subaru Outback, was stalling out on me sporadically while idling at red lights. (It was an automatic transmission, and so not stalling because of a manual trans clutch.) Donnie at Hendrix took 45 minutes to explain to me what was going on with my car. I understood exactly what my options were at the end of that conversation. This was the first time they'd ever seen me in their shop. I was beyond impressed that they spent that kind of time on a person that they'd never, ever seen before. Needless to say, I've been going back ever since. They are honest, take time to explain things and they know what they're doing at Hendrix Automotive. Those are three of my highest priorities in a mechanic.

The policy is apparently no customer-supplied parts, period. I understand not wanting to use customer parts for more complex repairs, but for a simple tune-up like spark plugs and coils, it really shouldn't have been a problem with genuine OEM Motorcraft parts. It felt like it was purely about marking up the parts themselves rather than any real concern. For something as basic and straightforward as plugs and coils, this rule is ridiculous and frustrating. Ended up doing it myself. If you're capable of handling a basic tune-up yourself and just want to pay for labor to save time, this isn't the place their inflexible policy will waste your time instead.
