I was told the replacement might take 2-3 days due to high demand, but it actually arrived the very next day and was installed promptly. My wife and I were visiting family just before Christmas in Middletown. While visiting just before we were leaving, our vehicle hit a pothole and bent the allow rim. This was late in the evening and we were leaving at 6 or 7 am the next morning. I tried calling a few places that night but couldn't get any assistance and didn't want to call AAA. The next morning I went to a tire dealer and repair and the manager was very nice and couldn't help. He did advise that I might want to try Discount Tire at 12719 Shelbyville Rd. This was at 7 am and Discount Tire opened at 8. I arrived about 6:20am and sat in the parking lot to wait. The manager pulled in around 7:30 and unloaded some items from his vehicle to the store and I approached him. He advised that they didn't bend or fix allow wheels but he could possibly assist. He gave a recommendation so we could get off the donut tire and have another rim and tire similar to what we have. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but we needed to travel back to South Carolina this morning because of a sickness in the family. He, the manager Logan, didn't know that but he advised give him a couple of minutes and he would see what inventory he had and give me some options... I wasn't thinking of options but that was really nice when he came back with three options that allowed us to get back on the road. He took charge and fixed my vehicle beginning at 8:00 am. I was in and out by 8:40 to hit the road. This was a stressful time and we didn't have many options until I met with Logan that morning. He was very professional, courteous and customer friendly. I had a flat in a tire supplied by Discount Tire a year or so ago. I bought the Road Hazard warranty with it - $50 or so. I went to DT on Monday with the receipt, no problem, they would order the tire (run flat, for my BMW 4) and it would be here on Wednesday. I don't expect them to have every tire in stock. I told them Wednesday was fine, even Thursday if a problem with shipping, but could not be later. No problem. Well today is Wednesday. I called to see if the tire is in; no, it has to be shipped from Detroit and would be here Monday. Louisville to Detroit is about a 6-hour drive, I've done it a couple of times. I exploded at them. Unacceptable. FYI: BMW, famous for high prices, sells tires at about the same price as DT. They had the tire in stock. I went there because I simply cannot afford to be without my car for an extended period. BMW could not, of course, honor DT's warranty, nor did I expect them to. I ended up paying BMW price which was in fact a few dollars less than I had paid DT a year ago, and the warranty was free. Lessons learned. Don't go to DT. You won't save money and they lie about delivery time. Never again. read more

I put enough air in the tire to limp it to Discount Tire on Shelbyville Rd near Eastwood Village Plaza (Krogers) in Middletown. They got right on it and had me back on the road in 45 minutes. I wouldn't go anywhere. I used to mount tires. Even as an employee in another shop I didn't get treated as well as at discount tire AKA Americas Tire warehouse in California. Also, they have excellent safety program. I'm retired OSHA inspector. I couldn't see anything wrong from the waiting room window. With a good safety record, they get a discount on their workmen's comp insurance which enables them to be more competitive. I once had a blowout on a discount tire. I hadn't bought the warrantee. The tech said my tire wear was within the window to sell me the policy. Had to do four tires. I bought the warrantee and they gave me a new tire under road hazard warrantee. I didn't have an appointment but they still got me in and out in under an hour. All of the workers there were very helpful, friendly, and respectful. 4 stars because I placed an online order for tires and set the appointment for a few days later as system allowed for scheduleding. I was not pleased that the day of my appointment the tires hadn't come in and no one thought to contact me so I didn't waste my time and reschedule the appointment after they arrived. I'll match the non chalant response with appropriate rating. The 2 minutes that would have taken would have saved me from arranging my day and having someone meet me there to give a ride home. I live closer to three different Tire Discounters, but when I called them they told me it was too close to closing time and not to come in. Totally different experience with Discount Tire. Based on the poor condition of my tires Jacob did not want me to drive any further. He located tires somewhere else and sent his personnel to pick them up. I have been a loyal customer of Discount Tire for many years but always lived out west and always had excellent service... just came to Louisville to care for my ailing mother and took her car to this Discount Tire... the back tires are making a wobbly sound that increases the faster you drive... I called and they told me to bring it in... they quickly called back and said they checked it out and it needs 2 new tires and they would get to it as soon as they can but it would be finished no later than 4pm. I showed up close to 4:30 and the car was sitting outside where I parked it and had not even been taken inside or driven. They quickly put on the two tires and I drove off and noticed the noise was still there... I gave it a couple days to see if it might be the new tires adjusting with older tires and it has gotten worse... I called them and after being put on hold for a lengthy period I was told they don't work on anything that is not tire related - it's obvious they never looked at this issue to begin with so wouldn't be able to know if it's a tire issue or not! I explained I brought the car in due to a rear noise that seems to be coming from the tires or wheels... they told me it needed 2 new tires. They never said it wasn't something they could fix... the guy on the phone kept arguing with me about it possibly not being tire related and they wouldn't be able to fix it... DUDE, you should have told me this when I brought it in to get the noise checked out but you never looked at it! He kept saying... "I don't know what to tell you"... I called the regional office in Florence KY to file a complaint and the woman said she would take my number and the district manager would reach out to me when he can... I asked for a timeframe and she said he travels often, it's a Friday etc so could be a few days... I spent $450 to get a noise fixed and it sounds exactly like it did before and they are taking zero responsibility for terrible communication and terrible execution. I am 47 years old and have never been so pissed at a tire shop... I am going to contact my bank to dispute the charge and if that doesn't work on to the next step... read more

Let me start by saying I know very little about tires, basically that they are black, round, and need to have good tread for safety (hey, don't judge!). I recently tagged along with hubby to have new tires installed on the car (okay, yes, I did it for the lunch that I knew would come afterward!) I was comforted by the fact that despite passing FIVE other tire dealerships on the way, this one was bustling with business. They must be doing something right! As we entered, I had a memory of a long, miserable wait with my father years ago in a tire store, so I was prepared for the worst. Much to my surprise, there was a clean, comfortable (well, as comfortable as one would expect for a tire store) lounge complete with faux leather couches, a couple of bar top tables and a coffee pot! I quickly scanned the room for electrical outlets (yes, my aging computer's battery isn't the best) and hooray, there were plenty of outlets!! I had the trifecta....couch, coffee and electricity (who said that women are hard to please?). The staff were very friendly and kept us apprised on the progress with the car; the time flew by! As for price, hubby had left no stone unturned when he shopped around and was quite pleased with the price for the tires (and believe me, he is quite the penny pincher! ) I have a feeling that he will return to Discount Tire the next time we need tires. And who knows, I may tag along again, especially if it involves lunch afterward! read more

Ended up here on opening day (unknowingly) to get my tires checked before a road trip because my TPMS kept going off after a tire rotation at another establishment. They got me in right away, checked all my tires and dunked the one that was the lowest to check for leaks. They called me back in the amount of time promised, told me they found nothing wrong with the tire and sent me on my way, no charge. I was visiting the area with my daughter for a music festival, and woke up Saturday morning to a flat tire. After having a non-full sized spare put on, I made my way to Discount Tire, and was met by Antonio, who assured me they could repair the tire, but that it would probably take 1.5 hours. My daughter and I made our way to a nearby Target to kill some time, and 40 minutes later, got a text that the car was ready. Top notch service, and they repaired the tire at no cost. This Discount Tire and it's staff are elite. Originally, I tried them to replace a tire. Without me asking, they took the time to clean the inside of the rim's on my old Odyssey van and it handled better than it had in years. I made an appointment to get new tires on my car 6 weeks ago. I was able to get an appointment for the next day and I was in there less than an hour. The tires were extremely reasonable and everyone was very helpful. Fast forward to today. I had a nail in my tire and looked to see if I could schedule an appointment. This was at 12:00 p.m. I was able to get an appointment at 1:30. I was there less than 45 minutes. My tire had to be replaced because it was not able to be repaired. Once again, everyone was helpful and friendly. I have had some shady experiences in the past with other tire places, but I have been super impressed with Discount Tire and I would highly recommend them. read more

It's easy to make an appointment, although you don't need one. I've gone in twice for tire issues. Once for a plug when a nail was between the tread and once to check a tire for damage after road debris was unavoidable. Both times the staff asked what my concerns were, checked the issue I asked about and the tread on my tires. All without charge. They did not push selling me new tires. I appreciate the professionalism and service the staff provided. I will certainly be back as issues may arise or I need new tires. read more

While traveling home from a Tennessee vacation I stopped for fuel and noticed my front tire was nearly flat. Aired it up and looked for a tire repair shop nearby. Luckily this Discount Tire was 10 miles away. Now it's 4:00 pm on a Friday afternoon, after pulling in I was met right away by Andrew Jeffers who said we'll take a look at it. They couldn't of been more accommodating and efficient. We were there for 45 minutes from the time I pulled in till Andrew was telling me my tire was repaired and refusing to accept any payment for the work. These guys were fabulous at their work and the cleanest tire shop I've been to in years. They sure made my day getting us back on the road and home without delay. Very clean location. I was greeted in the parking lot by Marcus. This was an hour before close on a Saturday. I felt bad for coming in that late but it was my only option. My truck needed tires so I called the store to see what they had to offer and more importantly what was in stock. While talking with Noah on the phone he mentioned a tire that I had not considered. It was better for towing and less expensive than the Michelin I was looking at. Of course they had stock. I went to the store, amazing customer service, no appointment no problem. They installed the tires and offered me coffee. Then they said we would like to see me in 6,000 miles for a rotation. Free. They offer free rotations at Costco, I have waited over 4 hours twice at that store and ended up rotating the tires myself. I'll never buy from them again. Free is meaningless if there are two guys working. And yesterday those guys were unloading televisions yesterday.
