I'm shocked this place has such good reviews. Waited an hour or so for the food to get delivered is not totally unreasonable during a busy lunch rush, however when the food arrived it was disgusting. The food was cold. The bread was soggy. The lettuce was more brown than green. The philly chicken was clumped together in cold, dry chunks and the cheese created a waxy film across the top that you needed a knife to get through. I was hoping I could at least eat the french fries, but the meager helping they tossed over the food was was cold and tortured. We will not be ordering from them again. I have pictures of the nastiness that was my "lunch." Updated to three stars because the manager contacted us the next morning and apologized and offered to make things right. Normally our favorite, but yesterdays order was incredibly disappointing. First it took quite awhile longer than it normally does to come, second we ordered half with roasted garlic because i wanted a bit of flavor...I don't know who thinks entire cloves of garlic is edible but that was a mistake I'll never make again. Literally huge chunks of garlic ruined my pizza. I thought maybe they'd roast them then chop them up and if it was still too much I'd just pick some off, but I had to pick ALL OF IT off. The mozzarella sticks are usually highly recommended so we tried it and they were pretty gross. The sauce was also very weak and watery. Last time I ordered a steak & cheese from here it was not good at all. Whenever I get it from the Reston location it's the best in the area. read more

Definitely the place to get your pie! I became a fan of Paisano's last year, and can testify to the quality of their dough. The owner of the Herndon location told me they make the dough fresh twice a day, whereas other places can use frozen dough from as long as two months prior. They advertise NY style, but understand that this is "outside of NY" NY style, not "inside NY" NY style. Read: if you're from NYC/NJ, you'll think their pie is a little too thick to be true NY style, but if you're not from there, you'll swear it is. The NY taste is prevalent, and that is really what counts. Not too saucy, not too cheesy, and not too dough-y. Perfect blend of all three. The other dishes are decent- nothing to rave about, really, but nothing misses the mark, either. All Mediterranean-themed, of course- pasta, gyros, subs, etc. Get the cannolis for dessert- they order the shells, but make the cream in-house. Speaking of which- the seating on-site is limited. This is mainly a to-go or delivery place. Finally, order online- paisanospizza.com. You can order, make adjustments to the menu items, pay, and even make notes to yourself, all in a couple of minutes. I am so happy this place is knocking the chains off their derrieres. read more

I'll stick to my Reston location... How did they make me a Baked Spaghetti so cold that the cheese wasn't even melted? Yuck. Not what I'm used to. I of course simply had a personal bad experience at my only visit to this location. It just didn't meet my expectations that I have come to know from the chain. The staff was unruly and not supervised. The food was not cooked properly on my order. I ordered Baked Spaghetti and the cheese was not even melted, so can only figure that it was not prepared well in the oven. Whole dish was not hot and cheese not melted after being baked. Simple. I hope others have better experiences at this location, and know that the manager sincerely tries to make it a great location serving delicious food. We used to order Paisano's from their Fairfax location when we first moved to VA. Their subs started off decent but slowly declined over the months. The bread was always a soggy mess by the time it was delivered, and their fries are nothing to write home about. We stopped eating there for 2 years, but just tried again one lazy Wednesday evening. We live closer to the Herndon one now. I ordered a wrap with the hope it would be less greasy, and my bro who was visiting from Chicago had a stromboli. My wrap was 50/50--half was yummy and the other half was soggy. :sigh:. The fries still were nothing to write home about. My bro liked his stromboli but said it was very greasy. Definitely won't be eating here unless it's a last resort. read more

Ordering through the phone was pretty easy as I did not need to repeat myself over and over again. $45 for an order of 8 chicken wings, 1 large BBQ chicken and 1 medium greek pizza. With the bad there is always good. After my first post about the margarita pizza the management got back to me and made sure that I would be a returning customer. I just took advantage of the offer they gave me. I must say that it was rather delicious and a definite improvement! I ordered the garlic spinach pizza and it was very delicious! Man this place has gone downhill quickly. Ordered meat lovers pizza. Arrived soggy and was extremely undercooked. This was concerning considering the fact that it was a meat lovers pizza. If I was at home I would have tossed it in the oven. On the other hand, the chicken wings were overdone and hard. Best thing was the mozzarella sticks, but does that really matter? When I called about the issues I was greeted with disrespect and told I should have ordered something else. Pizza quality is always inconsistent order to order, sometimes great and other times as if it was a re-heated pizza they put back through the oven, dry and overcooked. Sandwiches have been good but the fries are terrible, greasy and overcooked. Never order the wings, they have little meat on the bone, we had multiple broken in half wings, like what happened to the other half and the counted toward the total wing count in the order. Those who have followed me in the past know that I used to be a big fan of Paisano's But I have recently moved from the Northern Virginia area and have not had a chance to eat there for a long while. Until today. I called in my order from the road and scooted over there from my office. I ordered my regular, chicken parmesan sub with French fries and a soda. This is their sub meal deal. I returned to my office in anticipation of a nice change from my usual left overs lunch that I bring from home. You might say that I was "treating myself". However what I got was far from a treat. The sandwich was basically fried chicken fingers on a sub role smothered in sauce and cheese. This is a contrast to what I had expected. What I expected was grilled chicken breast with provolone and sauce. OK so they switched to fried chicken, so no big deal right? Wrong, unfortunately it was deep fried for way too long and bordered on burnt. The fries were a measly serving better included with a kids meal. And the soda, which I pulled from their fridge had been opened and seemed like someone got thirsty waiting and decided to take a swig! GROSS! I called back and asked about the chicken, the annoyed response was "We changed it on our website and on our menu!" OK so my bad. But the soda I was told "well you chose it." To top it off the expiration on the bottled soda was from October of last year. I told them I was not looking for anything for free and that I thought they should know. I got an apology and an offer to credit. However I am sorry to say that this one time Gem called Paisano's, may have finally slipped into being just another crappy Italian take out place. This is the first time I ordered from this location. (Never had issues with Ashburn location) it said 40 min for delivery took an hour. Food was cold l, fries rock hard when we got it ( 1 chicken parm sub and philly cheese steak) the chicken was not cooked all the way . When calling the location: first they said to bring the food to the store (sorry but there was a reason I used delivery). Then they said they would send the driver to pick up the messed up food before making new food and sending it out. I said that would take way too long could they just refund the sandwich that had the undercooked meat, we can heat the other sandwich since it seemed like such a big ordeal . They said they had to come get the food to make the cook pay for it themselves. I'm not sure where they learned to run a business but it was completely unprofessional and needless to say I did not want my dinner. I will NEVER order from here again. read more

So let me start by saying that most of the menu items I've ordered have been really great....however, I DO NOT recommend ordering the Gyro platter. The sandwich was completely inedible, so I've basically just paid over $15.00 (including tip) for some fries.... really disappointing since I typically enjoy their food. read more

DONT EAT AT THIS DISGRACE. Only putting one star because it doesn't let you put anything lower. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and ended up getting a cheese. Not only did we get a cold cheese pizza but THE PIZZA WASNT CUT. We called to complain to get the correctly cut order and they blamed it on Uber eats. Last time I checked Uber eats doesn't make the pizza. He hung up the phone multiple times and when I asked for his name he told me he had no name. This person told me he was the manager and told me his name was J and did not want to provide his last name. He told me if I told corporate that his name was J that they'd know exactly who he is. In town for the week and this place was recommended by my hotel. Ordered the Supreme for delivery. It arrived fairly quickly but the good stuff ends there. The pizza was cold, and seemed like they took an already prepared pepperoni pizza and added the other toppings. Most of the toppings don't seem to have spent any time in an oven. Lesson learned. Seriously? Food got here on time, but the driver had no car sign or UNIFORM. Like who the heck goes to work without a uniform on? No fries with my sub combo, wings were overcooked, and the chicken on my sub was as well. I think I'm done ordering from this joke of a restaurant. It's great that you are now doing no-contact delivery, curbside pickup, sealed deliveries, and specials/deals. It's reassuring knowing you are also taking precaution inside your facilities with 30 min sanitation cycles. This review is for delivery only. I have not picked up nor eaten in the actual location. I was craving a steak and cheese but I didn't feel like making the trek out myself. I searched for Paisano's online and I was pleasantly surprised that they offered online ordering and they have a reasonable minimum for delivery also. They also have coupons for first time buyers so you should really check those out as well. I ordered a steak and cheese and added mushrooms and green peppers for an extra .50 each. The steak and cheese was really lacking flavor, I don't even know how to describe it, but the mushrooms were a bit under cooked and the steak was just flavorless. They also had a coupon for a order of free Zeppole which are little fried dough fingers that come with a rasberry compote type sauce to dip them in. They were good but I'm sure they'd be better fresh. I found them a bit doughy but that could have come from the travel so that's on me. Overall I'd try Paisano's again but not for a sandwich. read more
