This was our first and last experience with this Paisanos location. Ordered pizza, cheese bread and wings with no sauce. The order taker keep saying, "Can you speak up; I can hardly hear you"; from my side, all I could hear were all his coworkers chatting in the background, but speaking louder than he did; at this point I should have hung up, but I persisted. Driver arrived in record time which should have been a clue that the food might have problems. Pizza was starting to be cold and greedy; wings were ordered mild and delivered with hot sauce; and, cheesy bread had lots of cheese and was cold. Two of us ate some of the food and there a lot of it out. That evening we both were sick and had would we agreed was food poisoning. As I said, NEVER AGAIN from this Paisanos! read more

They get our family favorites right just about every time, Pauli's pizza and steak and cheese never salty or greasy.

3rd consecutive order now that is incorrect and cold as well as soggy pizza crust even after request to bake crust well (twice if need be). Charged extra for replacing green peppers with fresh garlic on a supreme pizza but received neither and charged extra for black olives when not supposed to. Delivery time also once again took over an hour late on a Sunday evening - ordered at 6:05 - pizza arrived at approximately 7:15pm after confirmation it was being delivered in 40 minutes. Garlic bites and mozzarella sticks and meatballs all cold and both pizza crust Luke warm and soggy crust from sitting in delivery box & bag for so long. I don't think I've ever seen a Paisano's delivery driver NOT driving like a jerk. Seriously. But this one in particular got me today. Parking in a handicap spot when there were many others around. Sadly I think our search for pizza delivery is still on. We ordered two pizzas and a salad and the cost was a bit more than expected. We did customize both pizzas by by adding a few items. The bill came to $45 - again maybe a little steep but in the end if the food is good and as ordered then it's worth the trouble. The challenge all the added items to the pizzas were not added - even though the receipt clearly stated the additions. It's frustrating when you order something and pay a premium for it. I know I could have called them back and mentioned that the order was wrong but in the end we all know how that turns out. The pizzas as they came were average and nothing remarkable, particulars for the cost, disappointing. They were good enough but not close to worth it. The delivery was prompt and friendly. read more

Love Paisano's and it is my go to for delivery. One complaint: the big dumb doofy delivery guy needs to be told that pizza must be kept level. Carrying it sideways causes the toppings slide into a big messy lump. At which point the pizza is no longer a pizza. It's a blob of goo. Edit couple days later: John the manager at Paisano's Reston called me to apologize! Amazing customer service imo. He said they discussed gravity with the delivery guy and to make up for my gobby pizza John has credited me with a large free pizza. Awesome. read more

New pizza place in Reston, read a few reviews and decided to try it out. North Shore Drive Plaza? Hmm... well there is already 2 chain places in there so I hope the word gets out about this place. Ordered a small New York Style Big Paisanos Pizza + Black Olives and a Greek Salad. Price was about average,slightly more expensive then a chain place. Was told 30-45 mins. Pizza arrived about 20-25 minutes later. First off the salad was huge, and plenty of toppings. I will for sure order one with any pizza I get from now on. Now to the pizza... Wow, They don't skimp on toppings and everything looked fresh and tasted fresh. So on my initial pilot test of the place, I give it 4 stars and will order something different next time. What the hell, I really didn't want to eat my previously purchased frozen meal for lunch yesterday and I had to believe this place would blow subway (which is in my building) out of the water. I decided to get a chicken cheesesteak supreme with no mayo. It came with fries and a soda for 6.99 (new location promotion). I got the sub to go and it did travel pretty well, but I wish they had separated the fries into another container to avoid soggy fries. The sub was good, but the roll was a bit soft. With better rolls this place would be dynamite. I need to order pizza delivery at work some time. This place is a good alternative to subway and lunch from home. read more

Enjoyed our first pizzas from Paisano's as part of a 3-hour lunch/meeting at the office. Both the Vegetarian and Meat Lover's Pizza were well done! The crust was the perfect thickness: thick enough for taste, thin enough to be crisp without being crusty. The toppings and cheese were filling, making every bite enjoyable. This was our first time trying pizza from Paisano's Pizza. My wife and I look forward to ordering from them again or ordering and eating in at their restaurant. This was a great first experience, and we hope the in-restaurant experience is no less enjoyable. read more

I ordered just the steak and cheese sub for lunch for delivery. I asked for no tomatoes, extra onions, and ketchup. It was perfectly made and the sandwich was delicious. The bread on the bottom was super soggy but that's expected. One of the best steak and cheese subs for not too bad of a price! read more

Why is it that not two chain locations are the same quality? I have to ask that as I review the pick up and meal I had tonight. Apparently they do not do curbside pick up since their employees have taken all the parking spots, so I went in to get my order. I was shocked to see the manager sitting in the middle of the restaurant doing paperwork in her company clothes WITHOUT A MASK ON!!! REALLY??? Is this even legal nevertheless healthy for her staff and patrons??? I would not go to the counter until she put one on and then I just wanted to grab my food and run. My husband ordered and said I would pick it up at 6:15. I was there at 6:10 and it was ready. Got home to find the gyro salad was a Greek salad and the steak & cheese was room temp with solidified cheese since it apparently was sitting at 6:10 even though we said pick up later. I always order PICK UP ONLY. the BAD Subs - Too expensive, nothing special. Buns are stale often...the fries are NEVER salted. It's too much to charge $8 for a simple sub with no side. Drinks - I understand it's a money maker, but the drinks are just too expensive as well. The GOOD Greek pizza has always been very good. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. They always give you enough plates, sauces, etc...just overall a good job. They are also fast. My suggestion - order pick up pizza...and just buy the pizza you will be OK! read more

Paisano's is good, REALLY good... and somehow utterly disappointing. They manage to pull this off at the same, much to my amazement. We've ordered from Paisano's over a dozen times (at work, home) so we've tried a little over everything. Firstly, let's tackle what Paisano's is known for: pizza. Paisano's has some of the best pizza around NoVA. I give them a lot of credit on that. It really is good. The cheese they use is damn tasty, and boy do they use a lot of it. It makes all the different, to the point it's hard to eat their pie without the Jersey Fold(tm). It's good, tasty and solid. But ONLY if you order a large or medium. The two times we've gotten smalls they've been lacking. The dough just doesn't cook the same way for their smaller pies, and it's just not the same. Their Italian dishes are fairly good. The Chicken Parmigiana has enough cheese piled on to stop your heart mid-dish (that's a good thing!). The Fettuccini Alfredo and Jumbo Ravioli are likewise fairly tasty. Safe bets, but here's the rub: Fettuccini Alfredo (w/ chicken) costs $10.99 while the Chicken Parmigiana costs $12.99, but the parm comes with almost twice as much food for $2 more. How does THAT work? Their sandwiches? Mixed bag. The Meatball Parmigiana is damn near flavorless. The meatballs themselves are huge, yet lack seasoning. It's akin to biting into a giant wad of meat filler. Yeah. I couldn't finish it. The rest of their sandwiches are hit or miss. Some really good (Italian sub) and some just sad impostors (their "Philly" cheesesteaks). Paisano's is NOT bad, but they're not consistent. I want to love them, but I can't. If they were consistent with quality they'd easily be a 4 in my book, but trying new things on the menu is a huge gamble unless you stick to safe bets (read: their large pizzas). EDIT: I revised the original review, and bumped it up a notch. Turns out when you add the coupon for "free garlic knots" you don't actually get them unless you add them. This doesn't always show up on my browser, and it's a bit misleading. We'd been ordering the "free garlic knots" for a while but never actually got them. read more

Picky new yorker here and this is the best i find in the herndon reston sterling area. its my go to take out. 3 topping large special is the way to go and the delivery is fast and friendly. a quick tip - when you get your pizza put it in the toaster oven for a few min it gets nice and crispy and really makes the pizza great. read more

I've tried Paisano's a handful of other times in recent months, and I am officially never ordering them again. Their cheese has this really strange tangyness to it--that's the best way I can describe it--that ruins the whole flavor of the pizza. This has happened every time I've had it in the past couple years so I no longer think you can every once in a while get a fantastic-tasting pizza from Paisano's. It's a waste of money, I barely eat any of it because I can't get past the weird flavor of the cheese, and then my stomach is upset for 24 hours after I eat it. They also sold my friend and I on their new "dessert" that they said was these amazing pieces of light, puffy fried dough with powdered sugar on top and raspberry sauce...they were basically chunks of chewy, bland pizza dough with a little container of basically raspberry jelly and we fed them to our dogs. Enough said. Too many delicious pizza places in Reston to waste your money on this place! Santini's, Flippin', Ledo's...to be honest I'd rather have Pizza Hut than Paisano's at this point. read more

Called to speak with a manager, he asked to send him a picture. He then called me back and told me that they can remake the sandwich for me. While I've had a variety of things from their menu, this week I discovered something that is likely to make me only odder that consistently! I was at work, busy, and very ready for the weekend. I decided to have lunch delivered to me, so I could eat, and continue to plow through my ever growing to do list. I ordered online, and saw a gyro listed under subs and sandwiches. I had never ordered one from an Italian style restaurant, but it was definitely what my taste buds wanted.My online order was placed at 11:44 am, then the waiting game began. I looked at my clock around 12:35, wondering if I needed to call and check on the status. Suddenly, a quiet voice behind me, asked for Hannah! At this point I was literally starving, so I was over enthusiastic and I nearly hugged the delivery boy. It is literally the best gyro ever! I traveled all over the country of Greece in 2005, and I grew up attending a Greek Festival in my neighborhood. This gyro blew it all away. The lamb and beef are generously sliced and a delicious flavor. The pita was fresh and slightly warm. I ordered no yogurt sauce, extra onions(free!), extra feta (only. 50 more) and requested sauce on the side. My coworkers couldn't stop asking me what smelled so amazing! Incredibly disappointing. I was in town for Christmas with my in-laws and, tired of cooking, we decided to order a pizza the day after Christmas. We found this menu in the Menu Drawer. I couldn't decide between the delicious sounding garlic pizza and the delicious looking picture of a breaded Chicken Parm. In the end I chose the sandwich and Sam chose the stromboli, we also used a coupon for 12 free garlic knots. When the food arrived, we were incredibly disappointed upon opening the styrofoam cartons. My sandwich looked nothing like the picture. It did not have the same toppings and the chicken was grilled, not breaded, and it was sitting in a huge pool of grease. Sam's "stromboli" turned out to be a calzone, and a mediocre one at that. The cheese, sauce, and dough were all low quality. One star for the garlic knots, which were really delicious and the only thing that made the meal worth while. read more

I should give this a 5, but because I have had better pizza in the US and abroad, I can't. However, in Reston - I'll say this is the best I've had so far. I hope it wasn't a fluke. I ordered a bunch to try it out. Garlic Knots: AWESOME (enough to make you need to brush your teeth, but not so much you smell like it for a week, and warm and good dough) Cheese bread: um... great for cheese, bread good, but needed more butter/garlic. Pepperoni Roll: I hate leftovers but was full so heated it up 3 days later - and even heating with a microwave - it tasted great. Pizza: I'm odd.. I like between thin and medium crust - it was more medium, but if that's a vent - that's what I have. Lots of toppings. It was good. Only had 2 pieces so far - too full! Dessert: no comment - still haven't eaten it yet - hopefully in next day or two - still full! Delivery: Hot items were hot. Cold items (soda, dessert) were cold. Was told 35 minutes, took 25-30 minutes. Soda was high price (expected) but rest was reasonable price. I highly recommend the garlic knots and wish I had saved them! I am VERY happy to have found this place. (By one of their door hangers and verified on YELP). Dominos: Hate the dominos that is near me - always late (usually an hour plus on top of what they say they'll deliver, and 5 of 7 times have stunk on food quality), then when they offer a solution - when I try to collect - they always balk at it saying they never made it. (Example: I cannot eat a few food items, but inevitably they end up on my orders, so I call back - having confirmed from internet order and they say - you are right, we'll send one for free later or bring another right now - and they don't!) The other one in Reston was fine - used to order at work, too bad they don't come to my house. Pizza hut - well, not necessarily a pizza hut fan so can't judge the local one. Italiano's - I do like this - but sometimes not in the mood for the attitude when calling, and toppings are on half pizza - having slid from however the driver carried, and for all of that - limited hours and high cost. I've tried some others too but underwhelmed... Paisanos was tasty. Again.... looking forward to ordering again and hopefully not a fluke. Thanks Paisanos! read more

Got some garbled explanation about how the driver delivered it and he was a veteran driver. Promised a replacement and that never showed.
